The service was spectacular; the waitress Brianna was very kind and polite. The food was very good too. I will definitely return.

This was a great breakfast place. The vibe inside feels clean and modern. Ambiance is great. Service was great, in that the waiter was very attentive. Food was great, felt light, and was healthy. They have a vegan specials menu, which is rare for a breakfast place. They also have a healthy choices section on the menu. The owner was very kind and stopped to chat with us for a bit about as well.

Great brunch place! Service is good and the food comes with a zing! I liked the coffee flight. It allowed me to try flavors that I would not necessarily get in a whole cup! My steak sandwich was amazing

I drive past this place almost every day, and I finally decided to stop in for breakfast. It's a small, cozy, family-owned spot, and I'm glad I gave it a try. Breakfast was excellent, the service was friendly, and the conversation was great. And the coffee? Absolutely AAA. A solid little gem -- I'll definitely be back.

The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food tastes fresh and tastes very good. They have a good vegetarian option as well! The restaurant recently open as the space is warm and inviting.

The woman ignored us and kept doing her paperwork while we stood by the register. We sat down and waited at least another 15 minutes before someone came to give us water. We were asked if we wanted anything else we had set a Diet Coke. The Diet Coke never came until we ordered it a second time. The food was just OK. I think they have altered their prices to accommodate inflation and the portions were actually small. I'll be about a dollar to two dollars cheaper than the places where they charge more and actually give you a real size entrée. We ordered a kids meal and obviously the kid who was sitting there wasn't actually quiet. They never put the order in. We finished our meal and we just got the kids meal. The manager, you kindly refunded the $6.50 for the kids meal. However, now we had a toddler who was ready for bed, but did not have any food in her stomach. All in all, it is not the same Cappy's girl that it used to be. It was very disappointing and even though it used to be a go to for me in the past, it will not happen again.

As a pre-game we had the Bacon Sampler and it was tasty! The portions are sizable and everything tasted great! Not to mention our friendly waitress. The only thing that left me disappointed was the wall of caricatures... are they famous people? friends? "Whoooooo?!" (in the words of Dark Helmet) Uncertain as to when we'll be back around those parts, Kappy's will be top of mind if we do!

The service has always been outstanding. They know us there and greet us when we come in, and if our usual table is available, they seat us there. Their prices are very reasonable, and the food is consistently good, as is the service. I generally go with my elderly mother who lives not too far from the Grill. She usually orders something simple. I try to select different things on the menu when I'm there, but if I get anything more regularly, it would be their taco dinner. The whole combination is very new to me and even though it won't be a craving, I enjoyed it. I think that even if it's not for you, it should be acknowledged it was executed well. The look of this place is definitely part of the draw, you couldn't ask for a nicer backdrop. We we're seated right away at a nice table. We went over the menu and got a rundown from our servers about dish sizes and what was good to share or more of an entree, which was helpful. Really nice service here, mimicking high end city restaurants. We landed on some hummus with pita, falafel, kefta kabob, and chicken with rice and salad. All very well executed. The pita and hummus were probably my favorite of the things we tried, really tasty and the pita was actually seasoned too. Perfect pita. Kabob was super tender and had good flavor. I also tried one of their cocktails, the cactus queen. Pretty decent, a little plain. I liked this spot a lot! I need to come back and try some more stuff. I wasn't as blow away with the flavors as I hoped I'd be, everything was good but at the price point here I had hoped to leave more satisfied. I think the play here might be lots of small plates and maybe wine over cocktails if your in that mood. Will definitely return for the service and ambiance!

Cozy, nostalgic, and super inviting. We were seated quickly, and our server took great care of us throughout the meal. We started with fresh orange juice and coffee, which was the perfect way to ease into brunch mode. I ordered a small stack of pancakes with spicy hash browns and bacon, while my husband kept it classic with scrambled eggs and toast. And wow...the food absolutely knocked it out of the park. The hash browns were insanely good. I never realized hash browns could pair so perfectly with pico de gallo, but now I'm convinced. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and the bacon was thick-cut and cooked just right. This is definitely a spot we'd come back to. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the food somehow manages to be even better.

While there is an "in" and an "out" door, it seems that the host stand and cashier station are one and the same, resulting in a bunch of people queuing. Thankfully, one of the hosts/cashiers noticed, asked if I was waiting for a table, and I was promptly seated. It is perhaps a blessing that the menu lists calorie counts, for I would have ordered the Apple Cinnamon Pancake without a second thought. Only it is 1,880 calories, and that's before the ice cream upgrade that's still tempting me as I read their menu. I ordered the Blueberry instead. What I liked about these is that they weren't overly sweet, and had a hearty amount of blueberries within. I'd also like to recognize that biting into them, I didn't encounter a spray of blueberry-gut-lava that's burned me when I attempted blueberry pancakes at home. However, while not bad, I found them in no way remarkable. Neither the textures nor flavors were anything to write home about. Rather than a gently crisp exterior and fluffy interior, they were instead similar to something between custard and cake. In terms of the service: I thought it was friendly, polite, and once the order was placed, the food came out in no time. Otherwise, the service felt a little inattentive. For example, after I said I needed just a minute to decide, the server did not stop by in longer than expected. Also, towards the end of the meal, it didn't click that I was to pay the cashier rather than the waiter... a little "D'oh" on my part, but a reminder would have been appropriate and welcome. As for the vibe: there is so much wood, if you dumped the restaurant into the lake, it would float! Adding to the vibe are some lighting fixtures with stained glass, and others are decorative, but mismatched, if not outright missing. Staff wore uniforms reminiscent of those seen in old movies. Final verdict: While I appreciate what Walker Brothers is trying to do, and their prices are reasonable, I do not feel the experience was enjoyable enough to warrant a return visit. Okay pancakes, and service that could use some polish are not enough, especially with many fantastic breakfast spots in Chicagoland.
