Out burger was pretty rare...like borderline should we eat this. Disclaimer...we placed our order but had to ask them to put them in takeout containers because we were shorter on time than expected. Must read before going here. Tonight, I personally overheard the owner turn away a family because the dad asked if the USA World Cup soccer game would be on. His response was, verbatim: "If you owned a business, you would understand we are trying to turn tables." The place was half empty. Instead of simply saying they couldn't put the game on or that they needed the table, he escalated the situation and verbally attacked the dad in front of his kids, even calling him an "a-hole" for asking to watch the USA play in the World Cup at a bar and grill. That tells you everything you need to know about how this place treats customers. Rude, disrespectful, and completely unnecessary. There are plenty of better options in Glen Arbor. Go to Art's instead -- better food, better atmosphere, and they actually seem to appreciate the people spending money in their place. read more

The hostesses are always very kind, but that's as much positivity as this place has. We were out riding bikes in the area when a terrible storm blew in. We high-tailed it over to Boonedocks to wait out the weather and I am so glad we did. We had great service and started with the Zucchini Twigs - they were the best I have had. Crispy, dusted in perm and a delicious ranch to dip them in. For lunch I had a pesto chicken sandwich that was on the lunch special and it was great. My husband had the perch and was also happy with his meal. We will definitely stop back in when in the area. We waited about 25 mins to be seated. We just walked the shops it wasn't a bad wait. The bad reviews on service is funny to me. This place is busy in the summer, but the service wasn't bad. Your waiter or waitress just has a lot of tables. We didn't wait crazy long for anything. Sit and enjoy the live band, your family, or the weather. Relax haha have some patience. The food was good. Was it the best thing I've ever ate? No. But was it so awful I needed to make a one star review? No haha. I tried everyone's dish to have a good idea of food quality. As we started telling our waitress how the checks were to be divided we were informed "their system only allows one check, but they could do 2 cards. (I guess it states that on the menu). The kids were playing with the condiments that look like they have been out in the sun all day. Gross.
