Came here for lunch today, October 24. Rainy. Came in around noon. Waitress was the best, and the service was top notch. We both got the M22 burger cooked perfectly medium. The flavor Was spot, sautéed onions just perfect. The waitress stated this is her favorite burger and I can see why. The only thing missing is a vanilla milkshake with a splash of Jim beam. Very good food, didn't knock our socks off, but very solid. Walleye basket was "ok" - but our daughter's kids meals were very good. Chicken fingers were homemade, not fried from frozen. What a hidden gem (at least for us, coming from Lansing). The place looks quite unassuming from the outside - just a log cabin in the corner. On the inside, it's a regular neighborhood pub with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Up to this point, a nice place, but nothing to write home about... until you get food. We had the onion rings, which were pretty good. Then I ordered the mushroom burger. Wow. Just, wow. Those mushrooms were unbelievably tasty. Do yourself a favor, and order something with mushrooms here (they marinate them or something, they're delicious). But even if you don't like mushrooms (what's wrong with you?!), you'll love their food. The burger was the best I've had in years. Today was our first time at Boone's. Three of us ordered their famous Massive Mary, Bloody Mary cocktail. It is $20.00 It includes a burger slider, a buffalo chicken slider, some stuffed olives, fried pickles, a celery rib and four large beer battered onion rings. This drink is enough for lunch or dinner. It also comes with a small beer or cider of your choice. We had so much fun trying to dissect it to eat it and then try to drink it! This place is small, looks old on the inside, and is loud. I loved it. The waitress we had was very nice and attentive to us. We tried the chicken tender basket and the Western burger. The chicken tenders were large and well cooked, the burger was large and tasted great. I got the cottage fries with my burger and wasn't disappointed. My wife had the regular fries and they too were great. After a long day at the dunes and driving all throughout the peninsula we were glad to end our day here. This place just happened to be the closest restaurant to where we parked our car. I'm glad we happened upon this place. Also, there are TVs everywhere in here. I'd definitely come back. read more

You walk in to a small yet comfortable space. Locals at the bar all look towards the door to see if an old friend has arrived Sheila, our waitress, was very friendly and took our order promptly. She was very attentive throughout the meal too. Cheese curds are dee-li-cious and plenty to share. I ordered the white fish sandwich with chips. This place exceeded our expectations. The Bloody Mary was fantastic! We didn't even have the MassiveMary that they are famous for. We were able to sit outside and enjoyed a great summer afternoon. We had a few mishaps with spilled drinks but Sheila our fantastic and fun waitress was able to save the day with her great service and easy smile behind her mask. We stopped at Boone's for lunch on the Saturday of Memorial Weekend. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and we elected to sit on the balcony upstairs. Our waitress was amazing. She was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the food. My husband ordered the Rueben sandwich and I ordered the whitefish sandwich that is delivered daily from the lake. Both sandwiches were very good. My husband eats Rueben sandwiches all over the place and he said it's probably the best he has ever had. They pile on the sauerkraut. My only complaint would be the wine price. I ordered a Riesling. Received about 4 ounces and it was $7. read more

Best vegetarian burger ever!!!!! Vegetarians be-warned, the "impossible" burger is so good you will not believe it is plant-based! The burger patties are special ordered from "impossible" burger and smothered with mushrooms and onions that are sautéed to perfection for 4 hours. We were just in T.C/Sutton's Bay this past weekend. We knew it'd be busy. As soon as we walked in to Bone's we were greeted by a very nice and accommodating woman who was rolling silverware. She explained where we could sit and what to do. As we proceeded to the bar to order drinks to bring outside, we heard her ask "do you want me to card them or you go it?" Immediately we all pulled out Ids out. As the bartender was making his way down the line of 7, my friend just started tapping her card on the bar;not intentional or hurry him or grab his attention. As soon as he got to her, she said sorry just habit and he turns, mumbles under his breath yet loud enough for us to hear, "that's annoying." As we proceeded outside, to the place we were told we could sit with our already ordered drinks, a server greeted other parts of the group. She proceeded to tell them that where we were going, there's no shade and we'd have to deal with it because all of the umbrellas are taken. Also, if we needed anything, there's no service so we'd have to go inside, all very snarkily. Half of us, if not more have worked in the service industry and understand the demands of a holiday weekend. However, we were not treated with respect except for the first woman. read more

As a long-standing tradition in Suttons Bay and originally an offshoot of the Boone's Long Lake Inn known for their steaks, I expected my NY Strip to be better than it was. I ordered it medium, but it was such a thin cut that it was more done than I like. It also lacked flavor which was the more disappointing thing. I did like the Cole slaw with a creamy dressing. The restaurant gets high marks for being open on a Monday night, and for being able to seat us at all on a busy summer night. read more

Boone's was pretty good! I ordered the New York Strip Sandwich, expecting it to have slices of strip steak on an open faced sandwich, but it was literally just a NY Strip on a piece of toast. I was expecting a casual dining experience with quality food. This reminds me of the Texas Roadhouse or the old Ponderosa. The steak was mid quality for $33. This was our first time stopping at this Boone's. We've been to Boone's at Long Lake several times. Our original plan was to go to a restaurant across the road that we had been to earlier in the year but the menu changed so we decided on Boone's. So glad that we did. It was a beautiful day so outside on the top patio we sat. My husband had the meatloaf dinner and loved it and I had the Reuben with fries. I don't even like fries, but they were delicious. Wonderful food and great service. Clarissa was our server, she was very knowledgeable, sweet, and very attentive. The lady who sat us was also very sweet. Seems like a wonderful place to work and full of kind, gracious people! We had our 4 month old son with us and I felt very comfortable to nurse him while seated in the restaurant. My husband had the 16 oz NY strip, well, I ended up finishing it. It was so tender and juicy! I had the southern fried chicken. The breading was crunchy and the inside was very juicy. My son had the children's chicken strips and fries. There were two very large, very tasty chicken tenders (that I also finished). When we were finished, my husband asked Clarissa for our check. She said that our bill was already paid for. It took me a second to take that in and realize what she said. She said she was not sure who had paid it for us. After she left I began to tear up. This was our very first experience with a meal paid for us, and we look forward to visiting again and paying it forward to another family. If the person who paid our bill for us reads this, thank you so very much! One of the best burgers of my life. Absolutely fantastic. Cute little restaurant with a log cabin feel. Even the bathrooms there were great! My family and I arrived at 2:00 and there wasn't a place to sit so we were given our drinks and invited to sit at the bar temporarily. After getting seated in a booth 10 minutes later, the waitress gave us the perfect amount of time to order. She wasn't hovering, but she didn't disappear for 10 minutes at a time. After giving our order to the friendly waitress, our delicious burgers arrived within 15 minutes. My girlfriend and I split the delicious Monster Burger while my parents enjoyed their own individual burgers. My mom has a lot of food allergies and was accommodated very nicely here. If I had to make a negative comment, it would be that (being a Cubs fan), the beautiful HDTVs on the wall were showing the Tiger's game. Overall, without a doubt, 5/5. read more

Really enjoyed the meal at Boone's. Stopped in for dinner and although they were hoppin' we had a table for five pretty quickly.
