The first representative didn't acknowledge us when we were sitting inside the store and put us back on the waiting list after we told him we didn't hear our name being called at all. Then after a few minutes, a different Customer Service Rep, named Edward, assisted us. He clearly explained all of the details needed to make a purchase and also the changes for our current Data Plan. In addition to that, clarified the changes for the monthly charges if we were to upgrade to a new phone and also use the promotion to trade in the old phone for a new line, but be able to keep the phone for a discounted monthly fee. Edward and Thet both assisted our shopping experience at the Verizon store in Federal Way, VA. They made it a pleasant experience to communicate with us and outline all of the information needed to make a new Smartphone purchase inside the store. They were knowledgeable and helped us with the best options in order to make our choices easier to upgrade. With their excellent customer service, it made us feel more comfortable and feel at ease reviewing the details of the purchase. Todays visit at this corporate store really pushed me over the edge, speaking with Quang (or whatever his name is) and my service plan amount and the possibility of adjusting it, he became violently angry after not understanding the simple inquiry, getting abrasive and raising his tone towards me in front of a store full of customers on top of it. The overall experience felt more focused on selling me a phone than actually providing knowledgeable, helpful customer service. The promotional offers were underwhelming, and the staff's lack of product and technical expertise made the process unnecessarily frustrating. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend going directly to Apple to purchase a phone. The process is likely to be significantly easier, more straightforward, and potentially less expensive than dealing with the carrier.

Avoid excess fees and additions that aren't asked for being charged! Review all charges before working with them and before paying for services you don't want. I found this location to be a sneaky little store that added a REDUX plan for my new upgraded phone WITHOUT agreement from me prior to the transaction taking place and final payment, REDUX costs $29.99. Although they got my old phone transferred to the new one within an hour and half, that also cost $39.99 which was not discussed prior to the completion, interesting right? There are about 10% of taxes included on both of those two transactions that had me out-of-pocket over $200 just based on those two "purchased" items. I was told my receipt would be emailed, but it was only my user agreements and payment plan for the new phone. I had to call the helpline in order to get my itemized receipt emailed to me, and upon review I found that REDUX was automatically included. Do better.
