I definitely recommend supporting our local retailers during this time. The store was clean and had tape on the floor for social distancing. The employees wore masks. If we hadn't gone into the store, we would not have learned about upgrades going on at this time (e.g. LG paid off the balance of my phone). When I asked the guy in the store, he immediately said they didn't do repairs. He took the phone from me, took one brief look, and said I needed a new phone, and they had phones that took much better photos than my Samsung Galaxy S22. I looked at him and told him I wasn't buying a new phone from him, and walked out. The guys I used to speak to about minor problems were always very helpful, but all this guy wanted to do was sell a senior citizen a new phone when I didn't need one. I told my daughter about the problem and she told me to check my brightness level. I did, changed it, and solved my own problem. My phone takes excellent photos.

I'm old school and like to know that my traded in devices are received by a Verizon colleague. Longer than anticipated wait, multiple customers engaged with colleagues through the duration of my visit (approximately 30 minutes). Two colleagues working in front of customers but not engaging customers; this is not a good look when customers are waiting. Colleagues seemed to break engagement with customers multiple times during their time in the store.

I live out of state and couldn't help at this point. He went to the same Verizon store and they wouldn't help him and instead told him to take his brand new (phone purchased at that location) to an Apple store. He was confused and frustrated but finally managed to get to Apple, and they fixed his phone. My dad, who lives alone and has no land line, was left out in the cold with a bad phone by the same people whole were glad to take his money one week ago but weren't willing to switch phones or otherwise help. I wish we had just gone to the Apple store to get our phone.
