Girlfriend and I were in Vegas for the weekend of the fourth. We stopped into the Boot Barn on our way to the airport to kill some time. Although we expressed this to the staff they were still very friendly and attentive. Even though it was a holiday and they were about to close the service was still nice. A young man, who looked like a modern day Audie Murphy, showed us a wide variety of hats and gave cleaning advice on the Stetson that I was wearing that day. Another adorably wonderful young lady politely asked us where we were from and told us that her daughter lived close by and loved it. This type of customer service gave this store a very rich small town feel that tends to be missing from the "Superstores" of today. Betty, the sales lady that helped me size my boots is a total boot goddess and helped me with some tips about stretching my boots to fit. Boot Barn is really not about the boots it's about the people that sell the boots. I am not sure what the core values are of BOOT BARN but they must be pretty darn special because every boot barn I have been to from Louisiana , Texas , New Mexico, Arizona and now in Nevada has been the most genuinely human and nice experience that I've had in retail in a long time. For example In Albuquerque I took my favorite biker boots in because they were having an issue with the heel and we also were not doing well with the cold weather. They shrunk basically. The very very sweet charming gentleman in a crisp white Stetson said to me just leave the boots overnight and come pick them up tomorrow. I came the next day and I got the boots and they were perfect. I said how much the charming salesperson said oh it's free! Free I said! No way! Nothing is free in this world except for the boot stretching at boot barn. He said it's a courtesy. Where is the Art of Courtesy nowadays. I wonder! I ask myself every day now that I am in Las Vegas. But People of Yelp there is a shiny light amongst us BOOT BARN. Second example; . I needed shoelaces for my Carolina boots. Over 12 eyelets. Nobody had these laces. Not even BOOT BARN Cowboy. BUT I heard about BOOT BARN WORK and PRESTO the kind and genuine young woman took me by the hand and showed me all the laced. She was also not sure if she had the right size and she actually laced up my boots. She laced them up in such a beautiful way that I asked her to do the second side and I watched and I learned. first of of let me say do not step foot in this store. i only went in there because they advertise carhartt and only have stuff for men and do not have the boots. i walked around for a few minutes and tried on some other boots. i then left. the security buzzer went off and i just left because i had nothing and i had it happen to me earlier and i stopped and checked everything and nothing. so i figured something wrong with machine as that happens sometimes. they are machines after all and can be faulty. my husband and i stopped at the 7/11 next door and grabbed water and as i was paying for the water some stupid a@@ f@@king b$$ch came in the store and started screaming at me that i stole from her store and if she saw me again she was going to beat my ass. i told her nothing stolen and she kept screaming. i went to my car and checked my purse that i had when i was in there. since i had ordered it online i thought maybe the security tag was still in there. stupid people. also i'd you say i stole why didn't she call the cops. i would have let them search my car. should be a negative five stars read more

Great selection on boots, accessories and home decor. 3 stars for 2 reasons- 1. most of the home accessories are not marked clearly with a price, and sometimes damaged items are kept on display. 2. I have never had good customer service here, and I go here frequently. Michael the Hat Master has ordered me three custom cowboy hats and on arrival he steams them into the shape I want, he is AWESOME. It don't get any better than that. He is incredibly knowledgeable and professional and pretty much knows Every shape, size of Any Cowboy hat you want. Excellent employees are hard to come by, so Boot Barn you need to recognize this man somehow someway. Also, Jill always takes time to assist me in looking for clothing etc. She sees me coming and starts getting clothes ready for me to check out, she knows what I like and the size, love her. Virginia who is a cashier she is a master on those cash register keys, I have exchanges and rewards points etc. and she always always checks and makes sure all is order, quickly etc. I have never had a problem waiting in line, I mean depending on business she moves em in and out she is great. WE LOVE MIKE! When you're in Cowboy country, who else are ya gonna want to sell you boots then a real cowboy? Head on over to Boot Barn off Las Vegas Blvd and check out their selection. I was shocked at how big the store was and how many boot styles they offered for men, women and kids. Tons of hats, and buckles for the guys and cute rhinestone clattered tops and jeans for ladies. They even had home goods with a country flair to them. Picture frames, beer mugs, mirrors, and more. What I really liked was the personal service I received from the staff. I worked with Mike to buy a pair of boots and then was handed over to the chief hat man onsite. He skillfully sized my head and picked out the perfect Stetson for me. Steamed and cleaned it and packed it for me to travel home. Such great attention to detail!! When I was there last week , a bigger new store was being built behind the original building. It is slated to open in the next few months. I can't wait to come back and check out all the new items and features they will have to offer. read more

Just used this pen. Been at this location many times. Live here in Las Vegas so, shop here a lot. I was given this pen by an associate. Just noticed that it had the notation "Stolen From" Boot Barn! Really? Maybe I should just return the boots I bought for my son from the one in Lake Forest Ca. Not cheap boots. Think Boot Barn could afford giving me the pen? It just went in to my trash can. The staff says hello when you walk in and that's the last you'll see of them, they congregate around the front registers and don't help with sizes or questions or dressing rooms etc. Lots of stock to be sold, just need salespeople that are willing to help. Great selection. Just don't ever go there rite before they close. I walked in at 6:30 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon. Brenda decided to be very rude and loudly discuss how they were already closing. Anything I touched I could hear her breathing loudly because she was going to have to fix it again. Who closes at 7 p.m. on a Saturday? Very expensive place. I wish these retailers would realize how their employees are ruining their business! Their employees are so disgruntled and rude they're killing the business of the retail store! Why would us customers want to ever go back into their stores when we can get better service through the internet? There's no reason to ever go back into the rude retail stores. I just found this where I can write a review about one of my favorite attractions in Las Vegas, the Boot Barn! The selection is great, the people working there are very helpful and in fact, the salesperson there actually knew where we live Germantown, Maryland! (His wife grew up in a place not too far from us!) We've visited the Boot Barn our last two trips to las Vegas and we'll be going back in June 2009! What horrible customer service! We called two times the day before to check what their hours were and arrived an hour before we were told they were closing that day and the doors were locked! The girl inside came to the door unlocked it and listened to me explain that we had called not once but twice to confirm their hours so we could fit it in to our trip while in Las Vegas and she replied "ohh, sorry", locked the door, turned and walked away laughing! There was even a printed sign on the door stating the hours that matched what we were told the day prior. I nor all of our family who joined us to shop that day will ever go back and we will gladly tell each and every friend and person we meet not to go near that sorry excuse for a western store. read more
