Let me start off by saying, I love boots-all kinds. I've shopped here before, the first time, I didn't know what to expect. Well, expect to see a variety of boots-mostly cowboy boots. You can smell the leather from outside the door and once you're in, it's so difficult to select a pair because they have such a variety, both in style and in price. A lot of people shop here because they need an outfit for a party but I shop here because I love boots. If you don't normally wear cowboy boots as part of your wardrobe but wanna give them a try, drop by Boot Barn and try on a few pairs. If you need help, anyone there will be very happy to help yet at the same time, they give you your space and don't hover over you. read more

I love this store. However the employees are less than welcoming, and they followed me and my son around the store. I had to stare to get attention and I was spending money. As I was standing in line, I was never told that I would be helped next, I had to ask if I could approach the register to pay for my items. How trashy. Came in with my husband to do some jeans and shirt shopping. There where a lot of employees in the register area and then going into the office and only one employee (Max) on the sales floor. Max was great: He greeted us, found out what we were looking for and then pulled the right sizes jeans and shirts for my husband to try on. While my husband was in the fitting room, I saw Max approach other customers who appeared to be grateful for his help. He also helped out at the register when there was only one person ringing (I don't know what happened to the other employees between 6 and 7:20 P.M.). Because of his great customer service, we bought more than what we anticipated. One star less is for: We were never asked to use our point money for the purchase and you need to have more employees on the sales floor. read more

Came here to get my late father's tejana cleaned, so that we can lay him to rest with it. We were advised they were able to do so, we were advised that it was ready to pick up. When we arrived the tejanas had not been touched, they had not touched them. When discussing their work, they argued they cleaned them. Unfortunately, nothing was done to them. We requested to speak to management, the young lady very condescending stated they worked on them. Do not come here, they couldn't assist with a dead man's last wish to be buried with his tejana. These individuals do not deserve business nor the support of a community to stay in business. Please do your research and go somewhere else. read more

Monday 10/4/21 1:50 pm the only guy working at this store with glasses and tattoos on his arms. I was looking for boots and didn't pronounce the name right, right away he corrected me in front of others customers and workers it wasn't professional and I felt like an idiot. Through the process of questions for boots that I usually buy here that are over 200 dollars he keept answering me rude and seemed like he didn't want to be there. I tried like 4 pairs and just didn't feel comfortable with his rude attitude and sarcastic answers. I just left and went to red wing shoes across the street and was treated 100% better and respectful. I ended up getting my work boots there and spending my money with a happy smile. read more

I bought 2 pairs of boots on 12/13/21 online and online it say "GET IT WITH 2DAY - ORDER BY 12/21 1PM PST" and I have not resived anything yet I was supposed to received it by 12/17/21 and nothing. OMG! There are no real cowboys stores in the South bay. This place is the next best thing. Very cowboy like - Hell, it is pretty cowboy for the Urban Cowboy in all of us! HUGE selection of boots - And I mean from economical boots, to really nice exotic skin boots!!!! Plus hats, belts, shirts, and work boots. I have bought almost all my boots here - They carry all the major brands - and the workers are very friendly, and knowledgeable. Bought my kids boots here - taken friends here - and got a couple nice leather belts here also. I dropped in this morning, at 10ish, uncertain about what to expect. I admit I was expecting one of those tacky western store around Freemont St in Vegas. But no! This is serious, they know what they are selling! Sure, not all shoes and apparel are made in the Americas, and you really have boots for all prices (from 100$ to 600$ featuring exotic animal skins). The employees seem real fans, really into what they are selling. I really appreciated their advice, and the fact that they did not necessarily push you into buying the most expensive boots among the ones you're considering. Overall, very nice experience, looking forward to my next visit. (I basically haven't taken off the Dan Post boots I bought this morning, they are crazy comfortable, and awesome for driving). read more

I have purchased 3 pairs of Ariat boots from this boot barn with customer service experiences varying dramatically each time - from non-existent to very helpful. My last pair of boots they sold me boots with 2 different inserts inside (same size and style). I brought back the inserts and asked for two of the same - don't care which ones just 2 of the same. The manager Destiny told me there was nothing they could do and they couldn't "just give me inserts for free". I explained I am not looking for handouts just to be made whole. She alluded to the fact that I should've checked before I bought them - which is true and I will from here on out. I as well as the Boot Barn employees always check to make sure the two boots are the same size and style but no attention is given to the inserts. I am really disappointed because between my girlfriend and I we have spent thousands here. The advice I was given leaving was to contact Ariat and they might be able to do something for me. (During our conversation her tone changed from nice to a defensive rude demeanor, her voice also went up quite a few decibels until I felt like she was yelling at me. Poor customer service at best. This place is truly all about customer service! I could not believe how wonderful this experience was! I bought boots online for my dad for Christmas. He liked them but was not about to break in a new pair of boots and asked if I would return them. I bought the shoes back in November, it's January now. I thought returning them was going to be such a hassle, boy was I wrong! I got there at 7:50pm (they close at 8pm, but I was in the area and figured I'd try) the girl working there was super friendly and polite. She welcomed me in, handled my return in under a minute, and got me an email and refund before 7:55! I am just so impressed. Good job Boot Barn! read more

The new store is big and "fine" but the costumer service is awful. Today, I went there to buy a hat, a white felt hat. I noticed all the hats were a little dirty, so I got the cleanest one and went to pay $98. At the register I ask if they could clean it and the lady told me another lady will do it for me. When the other lady took my hat she said that in order to clean my hat, I will have to buy a cleaner kit. So I said, every time I get a hat at boot barn, they always clean it or brush it before putting it on my shopping bag. She rolled her eyes, got mad and said that it was a policy of the store, so I said "if you sell something it should be clean not all dirty, look at the other hats on the shelve, if you don't clean it I don't want it so make me a refund" she went and tried to find one "cleaner" and when she didn't find one, she got attitude and said she will clean it as a curtesy this time, but them I will have to buy the cleaning kit if I purchase another hat. WTF?!! she then cleaned my hat with a bush but nothing else, my had didn't need a cleaner kit, just a good brush to remove dirt from store. When I was leaving, this lady told the other cashier about being in a hurry for lunch. So she was only lazy and hungry. read more

O.K. so my boyfriend thinks he's a cowboy and we received an ad about some shirts that they had on sale for Father's Day. So we head over and we find a bunch of shirts that he likes and a hat. The selection is pretty good. I have been to some bigger Western Wear stores that had more of a variety but none that are around here! The service was top notch here. We were looking for something that they didn't have in stock and they are going to order it for me and notify me when it comes in. The prices are expensive but what are you going to do? Worst customer service ever... lots of excuse y apologizes for poor services, many delays or no follow up with customers and lots of verbal promises that never happen... Their very good at dropping the ball... :( Shame on you guys... I made a special order (PAID-in- FULL CASH, well over a $140.00), the manager, she said it should arrive in 7-10th days and they would call me as soon as they come in... Well, ten days pasted and ten turned into twenty, hum, so I decided to call and the managers, and she said her staff put my paid-in-full shirts back out on the floor for sale and one of them were sold :( ¿Can you believe that? The boots are good. The service is bad. If you are expecting red wings type of service you'll be disappointed. I was waiting in line and for whatever reason they called the people behind me to be helped first. It was a little confusing and I was embarrassed for them. Very poor service at this Torrance location. I came in to try on a hat that the website said was in stock at that location, in my size. When I get there, the hat is nowhere to be seen in any displays, so I ask a sales assistant. Assistant goes to check in the back, and comes out with some mysterious story about the hat being in boxes that they can't reach. I then ask a manager for clarification, who tells the same mysterious story, but who then suggests I try on one of the other hats on display. So, that's a little too close to "Bait-and-Switch" for me. None of the staff suggest how the problem might be resolved ("let us find it and call you when it's available," or "let's call another store to check availability," etc.). Later, I phone Customer Service, who say the District Manager will give me a call during the week. I never got that call. So, a big fail all round. read more

She's also really kind and helpful even with customers who have no idea about boots and hats; ie me. She made me super comfortable to ask as many questions as I had and answered them in a way a common guy like me could understand. I called Boot Barn earlier today to verify if they had boots in my boyfriends size so we can try them on and purchase them. The young lady I spoke to places them on hold for me and told me the store closed at 8pm. We come to the store at 6:30pm and everything is locked up. My BF gets out the car and seen the store hours that said the store closed at 6pm. I thought it was an old sign, so I called the store and a man answered and confirmed that the store closed at 6pm and the store is only open until 8pm Monday thru Friday. Totally unprofessional! Please train your employees to not only know the products in the store, but to know STORE HOURS! We live downtown LA, not in Torrance! Total waist of time! read more

Bought a pair of boots while I was in Nashville and had buyers remorse when I got back to California. Wasn't sure if I'd have a hard time returning them in another state, but boot barn did the return without question. So I started listening to some country music lately and decided that I like George Strait and his hats. What's up impulse buying, long time no see. Snooped around online a bit and discovered that he actually has his own line of signature hats made by a company called Resistol. Wisely, I decided to go to Boot Barn to try some on and see if cowboy hat sizing is the same as baseball cap sizing. I am glad I did, because there is almost no chance of getting the right fit in a cowboy hat sight unseen - you need to try some on if you are a first time buyer like me. Well the guys at Boot Barn sensed I was a newbie and were very friendly and helpful. They helped me find a hat that, although not an official George Strait Resistol, was close enough and actually made in Texas rather than Taiwan. Did the $80 Stetson fit and look better? Of course. But I didn't want to spend that much on a possible flavor of the week purchase that may end up in the closet until Halloween. I called this store in the morning to check stock on an item and was put on hold over 20 minutes. I thought they'd forgotten about the call so I called again and was told they were busy to call later. I tried calling at 2pm and was put on hold over 30 min just to be disconnected. Called again and Andre apologized and said they'd help me and put me on hold to grab a pen but it has been like over 10 minutes now. I was surprised to see some less than par reviews on this page. I've been to Boot Barn multiple times, and let me tell you, I will never deal with another company when it comes to boots. Living in Southern California, it is difficult to find stores geared toward southern souls and horse riders! Not only does this store have much of what you may need, but the staff and policies of this store are some of the best I have ever experienced. The multiple times I have been in there, I have never seen anyone ignored. I've always seen people greeted and helped - even if poor Laura is helping multiple people at one time! Laura is awesome, by the way. I had an extenuating circumstance regarding a boot purchase that was of the wrong size. Laura helped me out more than words can describe! Not to sound like a sap, but I even called her the day after our transaction for reassurance and she was super sweet, reassuring, and helpful. Coming from a small town, I had yearned for a place like this in southern California. Definitely makes me miss home, that small town feel, and store where they remember a face. I highly recommend this store to everyone! Don't purchase boots online, just go here! Trust me, you won't be sorry! And your soul might feel a little heartier when you leave, too =). read more

Torrance - I walked up to 2 store associates, both females, and said excuse me, can someone help me? I was looking for the other boot to the one I wanted to purchase. The associate said the other boot is behind the one you have in your hand. I told her I couldn't find it, so she walked over and found it for me. I tried on the $350 pair of boots and really liked them but I wasn't familiar with the brand. So, I walked back over to the same two female associates who were talking and taking a selfie and stood there until they noticed me. I asked them if they knew anything about the Lane brand and they said no. I was reluctant to purchase the boots since I didn't know the brand. Neither associate said let me find out, they both just said, well it's a dressier boot so you don't want to wear them in the mud. This was the worst customer service I have ever received. I own about 10 pair of artisan boots, so this is not my first purchase. Next time, I will drive to another Boot Barn in hopes of finding better customer service. read more

This is Mark Winn and I am writing this Yelp review to compliment the Boot Barn Western Wear Store in Torrance.Incidentally I have shopped at this particular Boot Barn loc for nearly 13 years. And within that time frame I have seen sev managers come and go..And now the current in store managerial staff are truly the GREATEST! And to compliment their greatness is the fact that they are all beautiful, nice, and professional women! And there aren't t any mean spirited sales assocs' amongst them either. These ladies have especially taken the overall inside store look and displays to the NEXT LEVEL! Cleanliness! Organization! so much better than this BootBarn used to have! And Norma, one of the managerial staff there; and with whom I most recently spoke with; her phone manner was so welcoming; I shall return when I earn more disposable funds. And in conclusion; The Late Great Muhammad Ali was the GREATEST both in the ring and out of it. And BOOTBARN TORRANCE for me is also THE GRESTEST! And in this a sometimes difficult economy! I usually have a great experience at boot barn but when I was there last Friday I had the worst experience, I drove with my friend after work from Echo Park to this location because it was the closest and arrived at the store about 20 minutes before they closed, my friend knew more or so what she wanted so we weren't planning to keep them open a lot longer after 8. While she was trying on boots not one employee approached us to offer their help trying anything on or looking for anything keep in mind there were about 4 or 5 employees on the floor and none of them made themselves available. An employee comes to let us know they close in about 8 minutes ( first interaction we had with an employee) we then proceeded to try and hurry up and my friend was just trying on a couple more ,to then go up to the register and pay. As we're going up to pay at about 8:04 pm keep in mind they close at 8:00 an employee let us know that they were closed (we assumed as an like the store was closed) then we told her oh yeah we just want to pay for these boots.($250 boots plus tax) then the employee proceeded to say that we couldn't purchase the boots because the registers were already closed. My friend and I were in shock because we simply couldn't understand why they would close the registers with people still in the store. I would've understand yeah maybe if we were holding them up several minutes after they were closed but it was literally 4 minutes and if they were really in a hurry to clock out and go home wouldn't you come and try to help the customer look for what they want so they can leave quicker. Especially being a manager at Footlocker I know from personal experience that we aren't allowed to close all the registers until the last customer leaves the store. And out of curtesy they could've came up to us and asked "hey were you guys planning to purchase something Im about to close the registers up". In my opinion this was completely unprofessional of them we were being told by the employee that the registers were closed and other employees were turning the lights off and closing the gate with us still in there. You see me and my friend were so shocked that happened to us that we stayed in our car outside in the parking lot for about 10 min after and all the employees were still in the store and hadn't clocked out yet( so if they were still there why couldn't they have just rang us up) it wouldn't have made a difference on how fast they left the store. Anyway terrible customer service DO NOT recommend if you guys need to go to a boot barn visit a different location! Waste of our time we sat in traffic for an hour just to get there and get treated like this ! read more

Came here after picking my parents up from the airport. The pops wanted to get some new boots (limited selection back home in Hawaii). The store is really spacious and the employees here are a lot of fun. My parents had a blast cracking jokes with the employees. Oh, and we bought a pair of nice boots for a decent price. I don't buy much footwear but I usually wear mainly either boots or sandals. I love boot barn in particular because they have a lot of different styles at really low prices. It does some that their inventory is geared to western wear. However, they have a lot of other styles. They have a decent selection of motorcycle boots. It was refreshing that I could buy something other than "Harley Davidson" boots since I am not a wanna be weekend bad ass. I found some really cool riding boots at a great price. Additionally, they have a good selection of the industrial style boots that I like to wear as well when I want to re-live my 80s goth/punk styling. The staff are also very helpful. read more

I don't usually review shopping chains but I have to say they far surpassed the variety that I was expecting and I just wanted to let my fellow brothers and sisters of yelp that if you are looking for boots you will find them here. There selection is crazy diverse and they have something for everyone. They have hundreds of styles, colors and price points. The staff was all extremely kind and friendly. The only drawback was that I felt like I needed more personalized service. I asked a man for help because it was the first pair of boots I have ever bought and he steered me in the right direction but then he left me to fend for myself.
