Clam chowder was incredible!! The scallop sandwich and calamari needed more flavor/seasoning but was ok. Staff was very friendly, happy and welcoming. We loved the view and vibe of the place.

    Jumbo Lobster Roll w/ Butter ($47 + $2/buttah)

Booth Decay FKA "The Boothbay Region Lobstermen's Co-Op," is an actual working Lobster Dock that also happens to have a fast-casual restaurant and bar. We arrived after a day at the nearby Botanical Garden and were ready for our first Lobstah Roll back in Maine. The Good: *Happy Hour daily 3 - 5 p.m. *Clam Chowder was fine, but I thought it should be thicker for my liking. Carissa thought it was fine fwiw. *Fairly large parking lot that could get filled during busier times of the year, but parking was plentiful upon our visit. *Full bar with everything from spirits to local micro and macro brews on tap. *Amazing views from their dog-friendly outdoor dining. They also have some indoor dining upstairs during inclement weather. The Meh: *Service wasn't friendly at all from the order or pickup booth. In fact, I'd say it was downright sassy-- and not in a good way. When we asked for our lobster buttered and not dressed (i.e., mayo) we got a giant eyeroll from the maître d'. Why she cares is beyond me, since she's not doing much beyond taking orders. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ *The bartender was slightly better service-wise, but she tends to disappear and you have to wait around for her to re-appear. *Fries were whatever, but at least they were cheap. *The Lobster was overcooked and chewy, which is disappointing. However, we will say they were very generous with the Lobster itself, as we both got fairly large pieces of claws. Pro Tip: If two people want a regular Lobster roll, you're better off ordering the large and splitting it. I'm pretty sure the large was at least double the meat of the regular, and it was only $10 more. *The roll they use for the roll didn't really hold up to the moisture, as it was fairly soggy by the time it reached our table. The Ugly: *They really have the gall to charge $2 for a tablespoon of melted butter. As if paying $40-50 for a sandwich isn't enough... 0_o Conclusion: Below avg lobstah roll with great views but grumpy Gus service. Hard pass.

Best lobstah pot in all of Maine! Why? Location, price, Customer Service. This is my 3rd Coastal road trip through Maine and Boothbay is always the highlight. I adore watching your growth over the years! Forever on my lobstah foodie list

Ate on the pier, service is good, summer months are crowded. You place order and pick up. Fish is fresh and delicious. You are sitting outside on dock.

Without a doubt the LARGEST lobster role I have ever eaten or seen. I had to cut it into fours. Freshness you cannot beat. The key is they cook with seawater. NOT saltwater. But seawater. If you have an opportunity and we stayed in Portland and make the hour trek twice to drive here do not hesitate to will be best choice you make

If you want a lobster dinner at a reasonable price then this is it. I got a 3 pound lobster for $60. Simple dining on a picnic table overlooking the harbor. Great place for sunset photos. Skip the corn and go with a different side

It's the last day of the season and had to take advantage of the buck a shuck oyster, so fresh and delicious! Very good clam chowder as always and twin lobsters. Others enjoyed the cheeseburger and blackened haddock wrap. I love this place and can't wait to go back next year 2025! Great service and perfect outdoor sitting.

We went there on a busy weekday evening for lobster and shrimp. All was cooked as ordered with my 11/2 lb hard shell was definitely full size with fresh corn on the cob and coleslaw. My wife had fried shrimp with French fries and a baked potato (a bit of miscommunication on her order). The shrimp were delicious but on the smaller side (most likely Maine caught shrimp). We eat out on the dock to enjoy the evening and the waiter was great at bussing our table. One small wish is a better set of lobster crackers, hard shells can be tough to break open! And more lemons too. We've been coming to the wharf in years past and while the prices are up you can still buy wholesale it you want or enjoy the dock

Two crab rolls and one lobster roll

The place is a small shack. It took long for the crab rolls and one lobster roll. It wasn't bad. But when you have tried alit of other lobster rolls you tend to be harsher. I did enjoy the food and for what it's worth I would try it.

An amazing spot for lobster that won't break the bank. For $24 you can get a 1.25 lb lobster and a side, which is a great deal. You can sit right on the water's edge, with a plethora of tables to choose from. There's even live music in the afternoons to add to the ambiance. Great place if you're in the area.

Good place to catch the sunset, food was good but pricey and portion is small. plenty of seats both indoor and outdoor

Visiting this place is becoming a yearly event with my family. We really enjoy the selection of cocktails. This time we tried blueberry lemonade, paloma, mermaid water, some dangerously delicious shots and more. This year, we also tried some steamed mussels. It was my cousins first time trying mussels, and she fell in love so we had to order more. They were a great accompaniment to the drinks and were really fresh and inexpensive. The atmosphere is chill and has a nice view of the harbor and boats. The bartender is friendly and chill and provides great service. There are also shirts and hoodies you can buy inside - we ended up buying some of those too. The t-shirt I got was super soft.

Seafood sampler (fried shrimp, scallops, mussels, haddock), bacon wrapped oysters (fried), clam chowder, coleslaw, sweet potato fries,
    Evan B.

Very disappointing. Went there due to the yelp and Google reviews, a local's recommendation, and based on how busy it was. Got bacon wrapped scallops, seafood sampler, sweet potato fries, coleslaw, and clam chowder. The scallops and sampler were all fried. The fried breading tasted old and disgusting on all the seafood. When the breading was peeled off the seafood had no seasoning or flavor whatsoever. The Haddock was somewhat good without the breading. The scallops were fried too and tasted slightly better with the bacon but gross. The clam chowder bowl should have been called a "cup" it was so small. Campbell's clam chowder tastes better to me. Even the coleslaw was not good. The sweet potato fries were the best item we ordered with am average flavor. I felt sick after eating some of the fried food. With two waters the bill was over $80. If I would have gotten steamed lobster at least I would have known what I was getting and enjoyed it. I cannot recommend the food I got from here. It was a very bad experience.

Plus, OysHers allows well behaved dogs at the outdoor seating area. The menu includes MANY varieties of sparking wines, including a mimosa flight, and all local oysters, all sourced from women-owned oyster farmers, plus they have their own oyster farm as well. The menu does include a few non-seafood items, such as the classic Maine red hot dog. The menu also includes some caviar in case there is a need for a special occasion caviar celebration. There are a variety of seating options outside and inside. There are firepit tables with Adirondack chairs, regular tables and chairs, picnic tables, and high top tables. There is a beautiful display of the days oyster selection inside on ice. The ordering process is simple...order what you want at the register, tell them where you're seated (we were are fire pit #2) and they bring your order to you. You can start a tab or pay as you go. Each table has a little sign that says what the table name/number is. We went on a Wednesday afternoon so we did not try the fire pit. It is a great reason to go back. We tried the mimosa flight (orange, grapefruit, cranberry, and lemon) and a flight of oysters (4 different varieties). I couldn't tell you which one was best...they were all perfect. I especially loved how expertly they were shucked and cut loose. Every oyster slid out of its shell without any resistance and each oyster had all of its liquor. They were perfectly clean and chilled and served with lemon, a cocktail sauce and a delicious mignonette. My friend also tried a local canned cocktail, Dasch seltzer, that was excellent...not too sweet, lots of blueberry flavor. I can't wait to go back!

As this was our first time here, our server, Joshua, Was especially helpful and attentive in beverage and menu selections. And he did a really nice job of trying that all of the dishes came out at the right time in the right order, which isn't done often enough. Joshua highly recommended the falafel and I join him in that recommendation. The switch to lentils is the base made an exceptionally light but tasty version of a wonderful favorite. The mug, fish and cabbage dish was delicious, though maybe a bit larger certain of lentils, maybe with a bit more spice, would've made this dish even better . The risotto with crab was delicious, but the crab was lost in the dish, so it probably would be better as a crabcake or as a amount of crab meat on top of the risotto. And normally addition to risotto are made at the very end anyway, so this makes sense to get the most out of the crab. We had several glasses of wine, with generous pours; the Sancerre was exceptionally good and paired well with everyone's dishes. There are some excellent local beers on top as well for those who want beer rather than wine. One of our group had some of the oysters and said that they were extremely fresh and delicious - they were local from Brunswick (Mere Point). The desserts and after dinner drinks looked good, but we were full enough that we'll wait until another visit to do that.
