    French cheese burger combo.

Border Dogs & Michelaguas is a restaurant serving excellent Mexican-styled hot dogs and hamburgers located in the west end of the Camarillo Premium Outlets mall next to Loru's Cafe and near Forever 21. My favorites are the Guac Dog and French Burger, although I've liked every other burger and hot dog I've had there. I usually order the burgers and hot dogs as a combo, which includes fries and a soft drink. The aqua fresca and michelaguas are excellent although a bit on the pricey side. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. And there is plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor seating too. So, if you're in the mood for a tasty hot dog or hamburger I recommend Border Dogs & Michelaguas.

Me, my wife and our dogs stopped by for a bite to after shopping at the Camarillo Shopping outlets. We ordered the Street dog, Asada fries, Taquitos and an asada burrito. So full we had to take home leftovers. Their food was so good!! Drinks too, I got the horchata and my wife got the mango drink. So good and very filling good portion. We ate outside in the pet friendly eating section in front. Very good experience. Will definitely come back again.

After checking the reviews on Yelp, I was a little hesitant to try this place. I'm glad I went ahead and placed an order tho! I got the Border Dog & Puppy Fries (a cut up frank & fries)! The border dog reminded me of the LA vendor hot dogs after a concert, and the puppy fries gave me Mexico nostalgia as my little hometown out there serves this during our fiestas! Both meals were super tasty! They had great flavor and the grilled jalapeño was spicccyyyyy. ‍ I will be ordering again for sure. Goes to show you can't listen to all reviews!

After shopping at the Camarillo Outlets on a Monday afternoon, I was craving a burger. Border Dogs popped up when I searched for "Burgers" so I thought, oh that's new & decided to try it. Border Dogs is located next door to Loru's Cafe & a couple doors away from Columbia at the Camarillo Premium Outlet. It took over the previous Pink's Hotdog place. I asked how long they have been open & the young man at the counter replied, 'about 5 months'. The quick service restaurant offers Michelaguas (Nonalcoholic Agua Frescas), Burgers & Hot Dogs. While browsing the menu, the concept kind of reminded me of the Hot Dogs that you would get after a night of partying in LA... Man, I sure remember those! Lols... Now I know where to go if I have a hot dog craving. There was a table out on the patio, tables inside, & booths to sit at. Spacious inside with Halloween Decor. You order at the counter, pay & seat yourself. The Michelaguas looked inviting & had a display of souvenir cups that resembled a small bottle. There were 4 different flavors of Michelaguas, but I didn't see the names for them. I'll have try try those next time I'm in the area since it did look refreshing. I did not have a hot dog here, but my +1 did. He got the Chili Cheese Dog & Fries. He said it was ok. It was a basic chili cheese dog with a hot dog bun, hot dog, chili & cheese. $9 seemed a bit much for what it was. But we wanted to give them a try. I ordered the Paradise Burger, because the young man taking my order mentioned that was one of the popular burgers. It's a simple burger with a bun, ham, beef patty, grilled pineapple, lettuce, onion, tomatoes, mayonnaise & cheddar cheese. I was hangry so I almost devoured the whole thing. Of course I shared. I appreciate it came with a grilled jalapeño on the side. Was in the mood for corn so I got the Esquicheetos, which is Esquites w/ Hot Cheetos. I ate that up! It was pretty quiet around 530pm. Around 6pm was when a family & others arrived... Service was fine. When our order was ready they brought it to us at our table. Not much interaction when arriving & when leaving. FYI's: - Clean & Casual Atmosphere - Extra fee for Credit Card transactions... Cash is handy! - Sodas come in cans - Condiments found in front of kitchen window

Pretty cool new spot at the Outlets in Camarillo for when your craving classic Mexican/American comfort food like hotdogs, hamburgers, and fries but with a twist as they have michelaguas, elote cups, and more! Located in the old Pinks building, I am happy they kept the theme of a hotdog forward restaurant as it's really slim picking in these parts for classic hotdog type Americana cuisine. The Spanish/Latin/Mexican inspired flare is appreciated as you can get a little bit of everything here. The layout is literally the same as the restaurant before it. You order at the counter and then grab a seat. Your food is called out through a window in the back for pickup. Staff here were super friendly and patient with new customers learning the menu. Staff answered our questions and didn't make us feel rushed. Everyone was very nice and approachable. Our order was cooked fresh and came our reasonably fast. Service here was a definite 5 stars! Food overall a solid 4/5. At the end of the day it's burgers and hotdogs. Nothing that will wow you but perfectly good classic bites. I ordered a plain bacon wrapped hotdog with Mayo (LA style) and it was tasty. Good hotdog and the bun was fresh. My friends also ordered hotdogs and loaded fries and everyone was happy. For the drink I ordered the Watermelon Agua and it was a 10/10. Visually it was appealing and Instagram worthy, but also just really refreshing and tasty. I'd come back alone for a drink Togo. No alcohol mind you, just classic Agua frescas type drinks. Pricing was a little steep and that was my biggest complaint. The watermelon large Agua was $10+. Was it delicious with the tajin and chamoy rim? Yes! But any drink without alcohol running me $10+ is a bit too much for me. I don't see it sustainable for the average outlet goer as it's a little pricy. Also the ambiance isn't formal with wait staff and such so I take that into account when I'm spending $25+ on a basic meal. At least I can say everything we tried here was food and service being awesome was an extra bonus. I hope word about this place spreads (that's why I'm here) as I do worry they aren't getting the foot traffic for a new dining spot in the 805. They are a new business so I'll give them that but more marketing and word of mouth needs to happen. We came on a Friday night and it was dead. We were the only ones in there and it wasn't until we were leaving close to 8pm that two couples came in. I really like the idea of this spot so I want to see it succeed. Definitely give this spot a try for yourself as the food and drinks hit!

HORRIBLE! Husband and I stopped by while shopping at Camarillo Outlets, and I regret it! We got the 2 border dogs, fries, esquichetos, and a drink, and for the customer service, quality, and taste, it was not worth $50! The hot dog tasted so cheap and low-grade! Tasted like the Bar S hotdogs, and the fries were bland and flavorless. The esquichetos/corn was the only thing okay. The guy at the register seemed as if he didn't want to be at work. It makes sense now why there were no other customers inside.

First time here since it was Pink's Hot Dogs. Service: quick and efficient. Our order taker was working her first day and she did well since she was still learning the menu and we had a few questions about the food and combos. Venue: clean and comfortable. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is easy to find and this was on a Saturday afternoon. Music is played in the background. Menu is easy to read. All tables weee cleaned promptly and labeled with a sign indicating it was cleaned and sanitized. Food: it's a limited menu and not your normal hot dog place. The food is prepared fresh and came out warm. The toppings on our hot dogs weee fresh, but the pineapple dog had a soggy bun. The kid's chicken strips, fries, and churro were all fried well, not overdone. I preferred the hot dog selection back when this was Pink's. The soft drinks all come from a can, so this is a big step down from the previous soda machine that Pink's offered. Overall, this is a good place for a quick meal. Food is cooked fresh and there is hardly a wait since it's new. We will come back and try their burgers and nachos.

This is in the outlets, it's a cool spot for sure and good LA style hot dogs but it did take a long time for our order, the restaurant is hot inside so it was a little uncomfortable and it is pretty pricey almost like an actual sit down place for two people for a hot and drinks and a side of the fries we paid almost $40 for some reason when I think hot dogs I think economical, and these were expensive but def worth a try and the food is yummy

After walking around the outlets we found this new hot dog spot. We tried the border dog that was bacon wrapped and had grilled onions and red & green bell peppers. The food was pretty tasty and the fries came out nice and hot. We paired our meal with a watermelon agua Fresca and it was refreshing. The restaurant was very clean and the girl taking orders did very well at greeting guests and brining people their food to their tables.

The restaurant itself is fairly small and feels intimate. With so few tables, I think a reservation is a god idea. Ely, our server, came by right away to get our drink orders and answer questions about the menu. With a warm smile, she makes you feel very welcome. The paella is only served on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Three of us decided to share the shrimp tacos ($17). The dish has 3 small soft shell tacos with shrimp and tomato slivers (see photo) and a sauce - delish! Then came the paella ($55). Brought to the table in a hot skillet. Terrific presentation (see photo). Saffron rice covered with a ton of pork, chicken and sausage, a cut open cooked lime, and other goodies. WOW!!! Terrific dish. The menu describes it as feeding 2. We were 3 hungry diners and didn't come close to being able to finish it. My friend, the non-paella eater, ordered the salmon ($30). Huge piece of salmon over a bed of what appeared to be sautéed veggies. Beautiful presentation (sorry, forgot to photo) and he said it was delish. Lovely ambiance, excellent attentive service, outstanding food at reasonable prices. We will be back. Definitely for the meat paella.

Today we had to be out of the house due to Edison maintenance in your neighborhood. We were originally headed for Ojai, but we were hungry and didn't want to wait that long to get food. I suggested Waypoint since it was a weekday and hopefully wouldn't be that crowded. We hit them just before a lunch rush came along about 30 minutes later. it's probably been a while, but their ordering procedure has changed since the last time we were there. Now you enter, go to the host stand, and order and pay there. Then they give you a number for your order and a host takes you out to a table. It's a variation on fast casual. The idea is that they will start cooking your food as soon as you pay, and the process will flow smoothly from there. They have a lot of runners bringing out the food, and offering additional condiments or other things you might need, like more water or napkins. There are several reasons that I'm downgrading the rating from a previous visit. $18 for a plain Belgian waffle? No fruit, garnish, whipped cream, just melted butter and a very small amount of syrup. It looked more substantial because we added eggs and bacon for $3 more. The latter seems like a good deal, because the eggs were well prepared. Only two slices of bacon, though. DH and I split the plate. $21 for a plain waffle, scrambled eggs, and two pieces of bacon does seem excessive. We added a side of hash browns, which were plentiful, but were also oily. I don't remember having hash browns in another restaurant which were that greasy, so that was a fail. $9 for two cups of decaf coffee? That also seemed on the high side, especially when a tiny (and I do mean tiny!) addition of oat milk for creamer was $1.50. Really? And yet, they offered mini portions of hazelnut or French vanilla creamer for free. But we didn't know that ahead of time. A large glass of lukewarm pineapple juice was $6. I had to ask for a glass of ice cubes to be able to chill the juice down to where it tasted good. By the way, the waffle was slightly overcooked for my preference, making it more crunchy than I enjoy. Overall, it was $50 for a breakfast that DH and I split, just adding the hash browns and juice to stretch the meal. Service was good. It was the kitchen that let down the team. Also, ambiance-wise, the airport has added a large row of hangars to the northwest of the restaurant, which dramatically cuts down the view of the planes taking off and landing. That's actually another fail for the appeal of dining here. It's likely going to be a while before we return. Sad to report today's experience, but that's what it turned out to be - not the lovely little secret getaway of the past.
