I love this place! I've been here several times and honestly haven't had anything that wasn't good. The Mission Sandwich is absolutely delicious, the food is always fresh, and the restaurant is clean and welcoming. This time I tried the veggie fettuccine , super good! The service is great, and Alfredo! is truly the margarita whisperer. If you haven't had one of his margaritas, you're missing out! I used to enjoy his margaritas back when he was at the Safire, and I'm so happy he's here now. We are lucky to have Alfredo at the Adolfo Grill & Daily Bar. Highly recommend! read more

The only downside was my friend's salad -- they said the veggies didn't seem super fresh. I had the French onion soup and a pulled pork sandwich, and both were really good. This place really captures the feel of old time Camarillo back in the Adolfo Camarillo days. Kind of an ode to a simpler time with modern day prices, lol. Service was great, we didn't feel left out at all and we got everything we needed rather quickly. The menu has many great options, but I ended up getting the Bourbon burger with sweet potato fries. The quality of the meat was superb and the toppings felt more gourmet. This burger was huge. Sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside while maintaining the soft freshness inside. I haven't come here in a while due to some of the negative reviews I was seeing. Now, I don't understand why. This place has been around since the 60s if that tells you anything. read more

Camarillo is stacked with hidden gems and Adolfo Grill is definitely one I won't overlook again. My biggest regret is that I hadn't come here sooner but thankfully, a friend put this place on my radar and I was able to stop in for a late lunch. This place pays homage to the city's roots with walls covered in photos of early Camarillo settlers and founders, you can feel the local history the moment you walk in. The bar is the move if you're catching a game (tons of TVs + great vibes), but we came for a chill late lunch and the atmosphere was perfect. I appreciate that. The bar area is segregated from the main dining area so if you're looking for a relaxed meal, you can have that but also the bar area looked really fun. The staff? 10/10. Our server was friendly, attentive, and totally on top of it. I'm so sorry that I forgot her name... Meant to come on here to give her a shout out but it's been a few weeks so I forgot. I will definitely be back to get her name but overall everyone seemed really nice here. Here's what I had: Old Fashioned Cup of Chili - hearty, zesty, and pure comfort in a bowl. Loaded with raw onions for a little crisp and that delicious shredded cheese, an American staple. Been on the lookout for good old school chili and I've found it here. Fish & Chips - crispy, flaky, and surprisingly one of the better fish and chips for this area, which is made even more impressive that there weren't any ocean front views. These fish & chips can compete with the big boys that's for sure. Aside from the fish being great, the homemade tartar sauce + a bottle of malt vinegar sealed the deal. The spot really is unassuming, but I'm happy. I finally got to give them a try. Read the reviews of this place and decided to see for myself. Reese was our server this early Sunday afternoon was delightful as he brought out my *Adolfo Madras with my bacon garnish on the side as It did seem odd to put a slice of bacon in a cocktail. The ambience is of an old time County Cowboy Camarillo. With plenty of vintage photos and memorabilia placed around the restaurant & bar. The demographic was a senior scene I'd say 65+ as this is common for Camarillo. I knew what I wanted to order but was conflicted by the brunch menu! So many options!! I Wish I would've kept track of how long it took for our meal to arrive, but it wasn't more than 10 minutes before we received our meals and the pictures do it no justice. My Fish & chips were crispy & fresh. My husband's chicken club & onion rings were bite for bite savory! By 12:10 PM the restaurant was pretty packed. As I struggled to finish my meal, I ponder what I will try next as I will be back. There are so many items on this menu that I look forward to trying on my visit. What a gem! On our travel back from Paso Robles, we decided to make a stop for lunch in Camarillo. My fellow Yelpers are the best. We were looking for great burger and this is definitely the spot! Burgers, other sandwiches, entrees (including smaller portions), and of course creative cocktails! Jesyca was our server. She was excellent. Checked in often, didn't rush us for our order, kept our drinks refreshed (just ice tea). If we weren't traveling, staying local, definitely would have orders us some cocktails. The menu looks amazing! Location, this restaurant is located in a smaller strip mall on the other side of the freeway from the Camarillo Outlets. We occasionally go there and now we have the perfect place to eat! Food, portions are extremely generous, and that's an understatement. The burgers are 8oz (half-pounders). Quality of the meat and topping were excellent. Talk about a juicy burger! Warning - fork and knife only for eating! I ordered Borchard Bleu Burger RARE, it came rare, perfect. It had so much Blue Cheese, just how I like it. My husband ordered the Adolfo Burger. We were both in burger heaven and could only eat half and took the rest to go. What's great about the burgers, they come with a choice of sizes. I ordered a cup of French Onion Soup, excellent and very filling. My husband ordered Onion Rings, thick breaded rings and they were delicious. For the Price Point, $21 for each burger, definitely a great value. Came in on a Saturday for lunch. Was not busy at all Got us started with drinks and ordered our food. It took about 7-10mins to get our order but we don't mind because we knew it was fresh! It was pretty clean. We got sat by the door so it was kind of breezy and cold. Very massive burgers well worth the price and the fries were delicious along with the side of ranch. We were stuffed. We asked for grilled onions in our burger/sandwich - it was cooked perfectly. Definitely will try other things next time we come. My experience there wasn't good, only because the shrimp should have been cold when served and could have given me food poisoning if not served at correct temperature. I just realized today that I haven't reviewed one of my favorite Restaurants in Camarillo. The Adolfo Grill is an Iconic location with so much history. Love the ambiance with the historical pictures of the local farmers and ranchers. Most days when we come in were greeted with Brian's smiling face behind the bar. This guy knows his stuff and makes the best slightly dirty martini in town, and it's big. Are the rest of you tired of ordering a martini at a restaurant and it's in a weird little bowl shape glass. Adolfo uses old school Martini glasses, and they are filled to the rim. Now for the food. Today we had the Pork Chop (Bonnie) and I had the rack of lamb. We specifically go here a couple of times a month because they have a great rack of lamb and actually have mint jelly as a side condiment. They also serve it with a great cabernet reduction, but for old school lamb fans you know you need just a little mint jelly to coat the meat while it's still piping hot to remove any hint of gamey. Today it was cooked to perfection, I order mine medium to keep it juicy and tender. While I order Beef medium rare, I find lamb chops need to be cooked just a tad longer or they can be tough. I am also a big fan of their roasted red potatoes and asparagus as sides. They have a great selection of sides to go with their entree's that are included. So, you won't be nickeled and dimed the way some chain steak houses do. I'm talking to you Larsen's and Maestro's among others. The pork chop was also spectacular as always, one of Bonnies favorites. It has an amazing blackberry reduction sauce that separates it from your standard pork chop. It is also a bone on center chop with just a slim layer of fat on the rim that keeps it juicy as it grills. We have been coming here regularly for these two items but also have to give a shout out to their amazing French onion soup. As someone that has worked in Michelin stared French Restaurants, I can honestly say have not had a better one. Overall, this Restaurant is in the Top 5 for Camarillo and deserves your business. We took a few pictures after the fact; we eat in the bar unless entertaining folks from out of town. The restaurant side has classic leather booths and is very comfortable. Besides Brian would get upset if we didn't sit with him in the Bar. All of the Staff here are fantastic and actually act like they want to be there. read more

Every time I'm shopping at Camarillo Outlets, I find myself thinking about Adolfo Grill and how fast I can get there after. It's honestly become part of the whole experience. The grilled burgers are absolutely incredible -- juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked every time. You can really taste the quality. And their drinks? Easily some of the best you can imagine, refreshing and well-made. The fries deserve a special mention -- super crispy, light, and somehow taste like they're barely oily at all. Everything feels clean, fresh, and authentic. The staff are professional and welcoming, and the space is always neat and stylish, which makes the whole experience even better. Another delicious but pricey lunch ad Adolfo Grill. My spouse once again had the lamb lollipop appetizer for lunch, and I had a half cobb salad and a cup of "Italian Wedding" soup. We each had a soft drink, which Brian kept topped up throughout our meal. All of the food was delicious, and Brian's service was unobtrusive and attentive. For these items, the lunch cost $54 before tip. We usually eat outside, but this time (on a cloudy, blustery day) we decided to eat inside. You can easily eat a nice dinner here without being side tracked to watching the game. If the game is your desire, that is available too. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the black bean burger, which was...pretty good. The black bean patty lacked any prominent flavor or seasoning, but it was a decent size which was good. The thousand island dressing added a nice tang to each bite, and the fluffy brioche bun held the sandwich together well. There was way too much lettuce (a spring mix) on the burger -- it was almost like a side salad. The fries were delicious -- well seasoned and very crispy. Overall, I felt like it was missing something, a flavor that would elevate it from good to great. Perhaps a spicier black bean patty, grilled onions or a tangier dressing. But I had no issues finishing it. The service was decent -- no one at the restaurant seemed particularly happy to be there, which was odd for a restaurant of its caliber. But our server was attentive, which is really all we needed. I'd give Adolfo another try, but I would definitely order something else. read more

There are some hit and miss moments, and the service is not always the quickest, but by a large, the staff is always friendly, the food is all a good quality, and the atmosphere can't be beat. For a great experience visiting Camarillo I would definitely recommend here. For food selections I highly recommend the fish and chips, or the tuna melt. So we came back to try the bourbon burger everyone raves about. We were again sat in a booth and again, it was dirty. I brushed crumbs and salt off the table and booth seat. We ordered our meals the minute we were sat so as not to have to wait long. Yet this was a completely different experience than the last. The place was packed, so service was understandably slower, but this was a little too slow. At one point I could see our food sitting in the window for a while, our server walking by it twice, but they were apparently waiting for my kid's chicken tenders to be brought to the table. When we were sat we were never given silverware, which we had to ask for when we finally got our food. My water and my kid's juice went empty without a refill being offered. The table next to us had a different server. They were sat after us, looked at their menus for a bit, ordered an appetizer, a meal, and a dessert. They were given refills, and seemed to have an overall better experience. That table finished long before we did because of how long it took to get our food, so this experience may have been server specific, he did seem to be covering two different areas. As for the bourbon burger, it was a little tough, on the well done side, and reminded me of a double western bacon cheeseburger from Carl's Jr. Not bad but I certainly didn't see what the fuss was about, and it definitely wasn't worth $20. My side Caesar salad had no croutons, which should be against the law. My wife got the Adolfo club, a grilled chicken sandwich with mixed greens, tomato, bacon, on sourdough bread, and sweet potato fries on the side. All in all it's what you would expect at a BJ's, again not bad but nothing extraordinary. My kid went with the kids chicken tenders again, and again didn't finish 1 of the 3 tenders, apparently he wasn't much of a fan. Overall it's mediocre, perhaps a steak would be better here but considering how tough that burger meat was I doubt it. Well that's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating. read more

Gotta love Adolfo grill. Definitely one of the best places to dine in Camarillo. I've been coming here for years and have been here dozens of times. Mainly lunch and dinner and I also used to have weekend breakfasts with my mom when she lived in Camarillo. Food is always fresh and delicious, portions are large and service is impeccable. Their staff is top notch, genuinely friendly and attentive. Today I had the Adolfo burger with Bleu cheese instead of cheddar and my friend got the bleu cheese burger. 1/2 pound of tasty locally sourced angus beef. We were meeting friends for a farewell dinner. Ava immediately welcomed us and promptly seated us. We love going there not only for the delicious food, we love the associates who make us feel special everything we go there. The place is clean and very comfortable. We always ask who's working when we arrive. We are very fond of Alfredo and he was tending the bar and made us delicious martinis . Tanner and Brian were both off so we had Madison as our waitress. This was the first time we've had her and she did a great job, she checked on us numerous times. Three of the four of us ordered the Pot Roast dinner and delicious doesn't do it justice. What a little nook! Come for the food, come for the history, come for the horse paintings and vintage photos. A landmark with wonderful ambience and delicious food. The booths are inviting and the lower lights lend themselves to feasting with just the right level of freedom to enjoy some good heart-to-hearts or meaningful discussion. Fries are ginormous and on point! Ribeye Steak with baked potato and seasonal vegetables. Ribeye was perfectly cooked but had lots of fatty parts I had to cut out . The steak chewed Prime - I ate down to where I got every last bit by swiping my finger along the inside perimeter. Ima geezer though, so if you're 18 - 45 you'll have the opportunity to choose something else to enjoy, or something else entirely.. if maybe a dinch overdone, the interior, it's 40' ( ? ) long 4" thick marble bar, feels great to be inside of, yada, yada, yada. Wanted to catch up with friends over very a quiet dinner. They recommended Adolfo Grill. The restaurant is located in an outdoor mall (opposite side from the Ralph's Supermarket). Lots of free parking available. Weekday night at 6:30 - no problem getting a table. The restaurant is in 3 sections. To the right is a large bar with a couple of TVs (the hockey game was on both while we were there). We sat to the left which had a row of 4 seater booths along the wall. Quiet and away from the door. Almost as soon as we sat down, Ali, our server, was at our table to welcome us, get our drink orders and answer questions about the menu. Service remained outstanding throughout the meal. Who orders paella at a restaurant that does not specialize in Spanish food and does not specialize in seafood?!?! It's been a long time since I had a good paella so I thought I would give it a try ($34). GOOD CHOICE!!! The paella is a large portion loaded with jumbo shrimp, mussels, and other seafood plus a generous helping of sausage over saffron rice. OUTSTANDING!!! My wife got the 1/2 portion Cobb salad ($19.50). Also quite good. And to make things even better, they had a choice of IPA beers on tap ($6). Definitely will be coming back soon. read more

I don't get out for happy hour much, but Adolfo Grill is a good option if you want to stay in Camarillo. The happy hour is between 3-6 pm weekdays and has good options for drinks and food. I ordered the Adolfo Mai Tai and the Botanical Guava Mule. Both drinks were refreshing and not too strong. The service from the bartender was quick and friendly. The restaurant is a little dark inside, but they have outdoor seating if you need more light and fresh air. I arrived at 5pm on a Friday and got the last seat at the bar. This is a popular happy hour spot, so come early if you need more seats for a group outing. read more

Went there for Valentine's dinner. It's a charming and beautiful restaurant that has been there for 50ish years, very equestrian decorated and romantic tables with candlelight. I had a filet with sauce and crab, sides mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was cooked to perfection. My husband had the Ribeye, huge steak and cooked perfectly. The french onion soup had too much Thyme but the dinner salad with beets and goat cheese was delicious! You must order the chocolate cake/mousse it is the best chocolate dessert in town. I knocked down a star because our server, Tanner, was too busy and never brought the horseradish sauce we asked for or the refill on my sprite. We waited for him to come with our to go box and our check for too long. Ended up asking someone else bring everything. I am not sure why we still left a 20% tip, he spent way more time checking on the large tables around us. We will go back on a night that isn't a holiday. read more
