Locals all know this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Ventura County. Yes so this is a must try if searching for a local Asian cuisine. Located in the same plaza as Smart/Final. I visit Camarillo and Thousand Oaks location (near Smart and Final as well). Lot of parking at both locations. Closed every Tuesdays. Food: yes they do marinate their meats and broth for at least 24 hours. It definitely tastes so much better. I normally order the Pho (rice noodles with meatballs. The marinated broth makes a huge difference and so satisfying. Make sure you add the fresh veggies in your soup for optimal taste. Springs rolls are made to order served with a fresh peanut dip. Banh min sandwiches are great too plus the freshly made French roll. Everyone normally has leftovers. Pricing is moderate but everyone leaves with a happy full belly. read more

I've been here many times. I really enjoy their chicken pho. It's loaded with shredded chicken breast. The broth is full bodied and not overly salty like some others. Today the service was a bit slow and we had to wave down a server twice, but they're always friendly and helpful. We've visited here a few times now. Seating was very standard but plentiful and we've never had to wait long. First of all they always provide a lot of food for the price. We leave full or need to wrap up the leftovers to go. We liked their large menu offering with pho, noodle soups, vermicelli, broken rice and more. This trip we tried the following: Wonton with egg noodle soup was quite good. Chewy noodles and juicy wontons. Both the seafood and beef Pho. Their broths were very good with lots of beef and seafood inside. It was served with a separate plate of fresh veggies. Chicken vermicelli noodles was served in a large bowl with a generous amount of thinly sliced chicken, lettuce, bean sprouts and more. Service was quick and good though seating along the wall was a little tight when other tables occupied. We ended up switching to a table in the middle of the restaurant for more space. One thing I noticed immediately about the pho was the herby/minty aroma you get from the broth upon arrival and a slightly sweet flavor which was nice for a change, but I prefer it without the sweet flavor. This could have also been influenced by the Hoisin sauce so, def try it on your own before accepting my experience as true. I love this place and will keep returning. It's not perfect and has room for improvement. The service is rushed and they often ask if you're ready to order as soon as you sit down - even during lunch on a weekday when in isn't extremely busy. This can easily be overlooked - they are always very pleasant and friendly, and the service is fast as most things are usually ready, so you can definitely eat in under an hour. The meatballs and stuff they put in the soup could be served at a higher temperature. The Pho is great and has a good flavour. I continue to order the house pho large, sometimes spicy. It has a good amount of noodles in it. I love that it is alway serviced with the traditional add ons of sprouts, thai basil, and lime. I get the large, and the portion sizes are very generous. Sometimes, there is enough for takeaways. I have also tried their spring rolls - very fresh and crispy; I have had their fried rice - tasty, but the portion sizes are small. They have a lot of items on the menu, so if soup isn't your thing, there are other things to choose from, so I plan to return to sample some of their other dishes, which include lots of flavours of boba/bubble tea, traditional banh mi, dumplings, rice paper rolls - these are very light and fresh, noodle dishes, as well as full entrees with meat and rice. read more

Ever since the wife and I moved to Camarillo, we've been to Love Pho N' Mor every other week on average. The pho is just too good and the prices are too cheap for us to go anywhere else! A large bowl of pho is currently around $12 or $13 here, depending on which one you get. With food prices the way they are now, that's a steal. Portion sizes are reasonable and they don't skimp on the meat. The menu is extensive and has over 150 items including pho, vermicelli plates, broken rice plates, fried rice, banh mi sandwiches, and more. We've tried ordering different things but always keep coming back to our respective favorite pho: #35 (eye round steak and brisket) for me and #43 (eye round steak, flank, fatty brisket, and tendon) for the wife. Service is friendly and efficient, maybe a little TOO efficient. I always found it humorous how we'd be seated and then a minute later a waiter would come by asking if we were ready to order. Though nowadays, I suppose one minute is just fine for us! We keep telling ourselves that we'll be adventurous, but there's something to be said about familiarity and sticking with what we know we'll like. The only "negative" thing about this place is that they're closed on Tuesdays, so we need to take that into account when making mid-week plans! read more

I got the special Pho Cay which was very unique with fresh garlic, spice, and thin slices of meat and meatballs. It was the perfect taste of spicy and a tad sweet. It was so good. You just have pay inside when you get your food. My order is usually packed up nicely & ready by the time I get there. I've had their Pho Soup. I enjoy the broth on its own w/ some Sriracha & Chili Paste. My order has been packed nicely when ordering for take out. I always order #1) Spring Rolls. These are better eaten fresh. I like the peanut sauce it comes w/ versus a plum or oyster based sauce. My recent order was #82) Grilled Shrimp, Marinated Pork & Egg Roll over Small Vermicelli... In Camarillo this is my go to spot for Vietnamese food. Their menu have some items I don't see often so whenever I'm here I like to try those items instead. I've had plenty of Spring rolls and egg rolls but here they also offer the Autumn rolls, Summer rolls or Winter rolls, each with a different filling. My favorite is the Autumn rolls, the one with the shrimp paste. It is very flavorful and crispy. I love the Bun Bo Hue here! Although it is a common item, surprisingly I haven't seen it on the menu at the few Vietnamese restaurants I've been to so I usually order that when I'm here. The mild spicy soup with the thick vermicelli noodles really gives you a different experience compared to eating pho. If you haven't tried this before I definitely recommend it. When I'm not in the mood for something soupy I will get the Banh Hoi Love Pho, which is their angel vermicelli patties special. It's perfect for when you want a taste of everything. I like using the angel vermicelli patties to wrap a piece of meat so that usually gets finished faster, that I wish there was more of it. The only thing I'm not too crazy about is the thick rice noodle soup. Although the flavor of the soup and ingredients were good, it was the thick rice noodle I didn't enjoy. The noodle looked similar in thickness to the Bun but it is somewhat translucent and the texture was odd, it didn't feel like I was eating noodles. I may enjoy it more with a different noodle base. Service was very good, I got seated right away. The food came out fast and they would check on you quite often. If you're in the area I definitely recommend checking this place out! read more

Now I'll admit I've only had Pho at four or five places, but I'm pretty sure this is the best Pho I've ever had. Definitely the best broth, that's for certain. I asked our waiter what was their most popular Pho. He pointed to #32, the Pho Cay. The menu said this is the restaurant's signature dish. Right there you know you're in for a treat. I read the description and liked that there was a little illustration of a chili pepper next to it. Spicy is fine with me! But my wife isn't a big fan of Spicy. I asked the waiter what else is popular? Our waiter added that #33, the Pho Dac Biet, is also one of their most popular versions, and it's not Spicy. So my wife ordered that one. I loved that there are two sizes. We went with the small size, which turned out to be perfect. We each had enough left over for a lunch the next day. The Small size is only $11.25 and I call that a stone cold bargain! Especially when it's two servings (for us anyway, YMMV).. The broth was so richly flavorful I was in love with it immediately. I really don't know jack about Vietnamese food, so I can't tell you the names of the spices involved, but I can attest that they were blended perfectly. Each spoonful of broth was absolutely loaded with flavor. It's the kind of broth that you just savor each and every spoonful. Oh baby that broth is good! And the rest of the ingredients were top notch too. Especially the eye of round steak in my bowl. I've had some version of Pho where I didn't even eat the slices of beef. But that wasn't the case here, I was scarfing down that beef like nobody's business. And the great thing was, there was lots of it! The noodles, bro, tell us about the noodles. Ok, ok, settle down, I'm getting to the noodles. We're talking rice noodles here. Perfectly cooked, delicious in their own right, rice noodles. And there were plenty! My wife and I are both noodle aficianados and we were totally satisfied with them noods! Totally! In addition to our bowls of Pho, we got an order of Spring Rolls to share. I think my wife liked them a little better than me. To me, they were just ok. Interestingly, they have Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring Rolls here. I had never heard of Fall or Winter Rolls. Fascinating! And the wonderful thing is, you can order a combo of all four rolls if you want. I just might do that next visit. Probably my favorite place to get a solid bowl of pho in Camarillo. The broth is always clean and they give you generous portions of meat. Service is always quick and straight forward, they do take out very well too if you're looking to enjoy your food at home. Their other food is solid too and you really cont go wrong with any item on the menu.
