We had dinner at the newly revamped Borelli's beautiful restaurant- fun, live music and excellent food and wine. We got the crusted melty cheese appetizer. Excellent! And the fresh, crispy bruschetta. Also delicious. The wine was very good, not cheap red. The pizzas were both light and fresh. We got all 3 dipping sauces. The honey and buttery,creamy one were our favs. Parking is easy. The only confusing thing was a line at the counter. So we stood in it. When we got to the front, they said sit at a table and they will serve us. But inside diners had been in the line....? Otherwise, the food, the atmosphere and the service were all great! read more

Nothing fancy, but my review is based on this experience which is probably not the same as a regular dining experience. There were a lot crammed in the area we had reserved, way too many for the space. We didn't have a place to eat and many did not. It was set up as a buffet, so we ate what was a part of that l. The food that I got was pretty good, the thin crust pizza was tasty and the salad and cheese sticks were standard, but most time I went t up things were cold or empty. Now again I get that this is different than normal, but it does make my experience what it was. I would be willing to try it in a different circumstance, but honestly probably won't. We went here for a Major Keys Music Studio event and stayed after for dinner. The staff was very courteous in the midst of switching from an event to usual dining. The pizza, spaghetti, Mac and cheese and cannolis were all delicious! They even had the seating to accommodate our large group of 10.5 people no problem. I ordered the lasagna and after peeling off what seemed like a pound of cheese I was left with half a bowl of a mushy mess of ricotta, sauce, and ground beef. I really do not like giving bad reviews... but man, this place was not good. The thin crust was sooooo crunchy - just way too over cooked. The sauce was almost see through it was so thin, so not sure if that's why there was no flavor or if it was just bland? Overall the whole thing was just tasteless. I really enjoyed my whole experience here. They're really really friendly here. We were waited on by the owner, who is so nice and welcoming. We came on a Sunday evening, and they had some live music playing (students from their upstairs school). The pizza came out quickly, and it was thin and crispy. The sauce was great, and it had a lot of toppings! The menu is kind of limited, but they also serve pasta, a few appetizers, and milkshakes. They're also BYOB. One really awesome thing about this place is the game room. They have a bunch of old school games (pinball, foozeball, table hockey, etc). The games are all FREE! It was really fun to be able to play all of these games and listen to some tunes. Overall this is a great place to bring a date, as well as your family. They also do various teen-friendly nights, where you can drop your kids off and have a night to yourself. This is a nice pizza joint to have in the neighborhood. How did I make it 5 years with a kid in this neighborhood before finding Borellis? Tavern style pizza was good, but the food is beside the point. (And if you don't have kids, it might not be for you.) But super friendly service, welcoming to families, game room that entertains kids for hours. They serve alcohol now, so you can have a few beers on a Friday night while the kids get to ride in the weird old timey carousel. Perfect way to cap off the week. read more

One of the few places where the kids have a blast playing in the game room, or dancing on the stage, while the parents can have a drink and enjoy themselves. This place is a GREAT find if you have kids (and love pizza but that's everyone, right?!). I had a big party for my son's first birthday there, with lots of adults but also kids of all ages, and everyone had a great time and ate and drank well. The game rooms in the back kept all the kids busy and happy. The bar area kept their parents (and the friends without kids!) very happy as well. The owner and staff are really nice.
