They gave me the completely wrong pizza and when I tried to call back nicely to ask if they could come back and give me the right pizza because I paid the full amount for pizza that I did not receive so I spent more money on a pizza that I didn't even get. He hung up on me multiple times in gaslight me and said it was my fault that I said it wrong when the guy repeated it back to me the correct way, but then the pizza got delivered wrong. I got delivery through eatstreets and it arrived in 30 min. The mozzarella sticks were perfect and the tomato sauce complemented them. I definitely would order them again. I got a small cheese pizza as well and it was a good size and had a good amount of flavorful sauce. read more

After two years of living a block away from Primo Pizza, I finally decided to stop in. I guess I had always thought it was just a pizza place, but I was surprised when I walked in and the menu included all of the standard Chicago favorites. The Gyros, Italian Beef, and Pizza are all decent, but nothing is really spectacular. Just above middle of the road I guess. The staff is really awesome though. They are really friendly and are always watching a Chinese or Spanish TV station. One awesome thing about Primo is that they take credit cards with no complaints! How has this place stayed in business for so long? There are people who think this is the best pizza ever?! You've not had good pizza. This is not the best pizza, it's not even in the top 20 pizzas. The crust is CARDBOARD. Cardboard. Seriously, I wondered if there was a layer of the box stuck to the piece. The toppings were okay - Canadian bacon, mushrooms, olives and half spinach. Usually a favorite. Not this time. Tried repurposing the toppings the next day, discarding the cardboard crusts, as a frittata. Good plan, right? Nah. Still didn't save it. And it's SPENDY. Almost $30, including tip and delivery, for a large thin crust. Apart Pizza (which I'll stick to from now on, despite the protestations of my "Let's try something new!" boyfriend) has a virtually identical pie for at least $10 less. It also dovetails into my thinking that if a pizza place does a lot of different things, it doesn't do pizza. The name is Primo Pizza, I'm not likely to get a Gyros there. I've stopped for pizza slices here pre-corona virus, and it was about average for a slice of pizza, so no problem. I stopped by yesterday and they declined my request that they wear mouth/nose covering while handling the slice. Their response to my request was dismissive, and they told me that there is no law requiring them to wear one, which is true. The statement prompts the question though- do they only do things that are actually required by law? If you find this to be an attitude that promotes health and hygiene, or happy customers, by all means stop by there and lick the plates. (lol). Awful experience. Ordered a pizza online. After 1 1/2 hours, pizza never delivered. Had to go through numerous phone calls to primo pizza, of course they claiming they have nothing to do with the online order process. Found out the delivery driver conned them saying my pizza was delivered (and charged my card!) which it clearly wasn't. Well, we had this sudden urge to get some pizza, and this place is literally a block away from where I live. Pizza was good, but not memorable. I loved this was a pizza-by-the-slice or whole pie. We really didn't want to buy a whole thing, but to get 3 slices for my kids. Place is simple, unassuming. It works better for delivery of pick up, maybe not for dine in. It was clean and personnel were attentive and fast. All in all, it was not bad, but it is not the best pizza I've had. Would I go again? Sure. People seem to either love this place or hate it. I've only eaten here once (today) and I'm fairly certain the key to enjoying your experience here is keeping your expectations realistic. I can't speak to their delivery or general order accuracy... but the charbroiled cheeseburger and fries I had were both freshly prepared and tasted good. Plus the couple working the kitchen and cash register were both friendly to me. The dining area was bare-bones... and even though it was a cool day (and the doors were open to promote a cross-breeze) it was a tad warm while I ate my meal. But this isn't the place to come for atmosphere, comfort or a scintillating view. And as I ate, I noticed most people who filed-in for lunch got their orders "to go". I'm a sucker for a sign that says pizza by the slice. That sign and cash burning a hole in my pocket led me into this place. With a few slices of cheese pizza ready and Telemundo blaring in the background, the question of whether or not I wanted to dine in or carry out was simple. I'm staying. Two slices of cheese, their mystery hot sauce (Sriracha bottle....not Sriracha) and a can of Diet Coke and I was ready for my dining experience. It was a "New York Style" slice of pizza that I was pleased with. Nothing special, but the pizza is just good enough for them to stay around. I'm sure they have a decent following and may do well later at night when the area bars and restaurants spill out onto Clark. By the way, the mystery hot sauce was suprisingly decent. From all of the restaurants on Clark st, you can really do better than Primos, but if you want cheap food thats not McDonalds which is less than 200 feet away, Primos can get the job done. This is one of those hole in the wall places that is located in a tiny plaza that you just stumble upon, and maybe because of proximity to where you live you figure that it will do. You can get pizza and many other unhealthy related items here. I was surprised by the choices and they do have salad here too. It was decided by my boyfriend that we should get the baked mostaccoli with meat sauce here so we got 3 orders for each one of us. It comes with garlic bread and a huge portion and it's entirely covered with mozzarella cheese that is just caked on top like it's frosting on a cake. So, if you love baked cheese - this is the place to come to. I actually like that there's a lot of sauce and that it's not dry. The prices are pretty average, but I haven't had anything else here. The people here don't talk much, but they'll get you what you want. read more

We go to only the fanciest places. I've lived in Andersonville for a total of three days and we've hit this place, White Castle and the local Mexican dive place. The Italian beef is good, better when it's dipped. The fries are tasty. Everything was really hot and fresh. Good for you? Not so much? But it tastes good, isn't that enough? The heavy set Viet cashier dude is a crook! My first time here and he overcharged me and my 2 kids almost 2 bucks on cheese pizza slices. When I called him on the non-itemized receipt he gave me, he said oh, I'm so sorry, I made a mistake. I took my refund in a large fry. But I'm never going back to a scam place like this. Not a fan. Use to call for delivery on a regular basis. Order would be correct and hot. Called for delivery which ended up my last time. Order: 1 Gyro w/ cheese fires 1 Grilled chicken sandwich w/ fries What arrived: 1 Gyro w/ cheese fries 1 Fried Chicken Sandwich Paid and tipped the delivery man and went into eat. The BF went ballistic on me as I ordered the wrong sandwich. I clearly know the difference between fried and grilled. Called up Primo and told them the issue. I am told if i want a grilled chicken sandwich I would need to pay for it and the delivery fee. I told Primo to take a leap...haven't ordered from there since.
