Tried to have dinner here yesterday; we were seated with no wait. After being seated for about five minutes we were still waiting to be acknowledged by a server. A larger party came in and they were seated next to us; their server greeted them immediately. We came to the conclusion we were not welcome in the restaurant and left. Recently moving to the Orlando area, Bosphorous quickly became one of our and our company's favorite restaurants. We prefer the Winter Garden location because it is new and less congested. The food is consistent and delicious. We usually order the sample platter for 2, but It could easily feed 4 woman. Last night we had Seabass. The waiter suggested frying whole for added flavor. It was an amazing difference. Our waiter Zac was truly outstanding. He said he was new, but it didn't show. He was personable, his suggestions were spot on, and he really seemed to love his job. It was an all-around great experience. Ask for him by name! You won't be disappointed. I love Turkish coffee, but they use a machine instead of simmering and the result leaves more than an usual amt of grounds in the bottom of your cup (no fortunetelling with this cup). Perhaps one could ask for a cup made by hand and not the machine. Don't despair, you can select a delicious glass of their Turkish red wine. read more

Went to lunch with my sister and BFF and we had such an amazing experience. The restaurant is very clean with great decor. The staff was very friendly and almost everyone working came to ask if we needed anything. The food was delicious. My sis and I had the lamb and my friend had the beef kabob. We sampled a few appetizers and desserts and they were also very tasty. Our waitress was great and very attentive. She always made sure our drinks were full. I can't wait to go back! read more

Honestly, this is my favorite restaurant in Orlando. Sure, there are more high-end, more regarded places, but this one I could go to everyday. Mainly because of the LENTIL SOUP. It is life changing. I've never loved a soup more. I always get the same items - lavash and assorted spreads for appetizers (hummus, baba ganoush, jalapeño salsa, etc), red lentil soup (DUH!) and the house salad. The dressing, copious amounts of feta, and the quinoa mixed with cous cous is a winning combination. So please, GET THE LENTIL SOUP. And don't forget the squeeze of lemon. read more

Don't waste your time going. We went with our 2 year old son to try this place since we live right next to it. The hostess sat us down and we waited for a waiter to at least greet us and bring us water, NOPE! We sat there for 25 minutes watching 3 waiters walk back and forth ignoring us. I tried to flag someone down but they totally ignored me. I was so pissed I just left and told the hostess. That's the worse service I've ever had. Will never be going back there. I was so bummed coming here. I had really been looking forward to a nice dinner out. I'm only giving it two stars because my waitress was really nice. This one is nothing like the one on Park Ave. - Waited ten minutes to be greeted at the front and only because the guy behind me waved someone down. - I ordered the sampler of dips and there was a hair in one of them. I quietly told the waitress and she brought me a new one. - The seasonal beverage wasn't great, I literally had three sips. - I ordered one of the desserts and the young man who delivered it almost dropped it in my lap. I physically had to tilt ur up and away from me. - No manager or lead came by to talk about me finding hair in my food. - I asked for an itemized receipt and I waited 15 minutes before getting to go find my waitress for the copy of it. read more

We ordered a couple sides of rice since my kid absolutely loves the rice, but we were so disappointed to see the small container it came in, in the past, the container was twice the size. After eating here, we wouldn't want to try another Turkish restaurant because the food here was amazing. My family and I are still reminiscing on how delicious everything was. The staff was super friendly and the outside patio was a great way to enjoy the fresh air. We started with Lavas and the mixed appetizer. Next course was the grilled lamb Adakebabs and lamb shanks We closed out lunch with the Turkish coffee. No food was wasted. I'm not a local so it's too bad they don't have a location in AZ. We've been here many times and I must say that the food is always delicious. I can't decide which is the best, but I think the appetizer plate for the different humus and lava bread is my favorite. They also have other sample plates with a variety of meats and veggie related. The chicken skewers are good, along with the lamb shanks, the lamb Kofte I like also. I thought the salads were the best though. The white bean salad is AMAZING and very filling and healthy! For desert the baklava and mousse are great but the Turkish Pineapple Delight is the best! read more

A Turkish restaurant without pita bread is like The cheesecake factory without cheesecake. They brought the my food on a metal plate and it was scolding because clearly they baked the food in the plate, which is perfectly fine but I didn't know that and none of the servers said anything. So obviously I went to move my plate which required me to grab it and got burned bad. After a while all they did was offer if I wanted some cream. First, let people know about the scolding plate you just took out of a volcano and then don't wait to ask if I need cream. Just bring it ASAP to try and rectify the very big mistake you just made. The food was good actually. Prices are fine but two days later my fingers are still sore from the burn. Careful with the hot plates when visiting! read more

Bosphorous is an excellent addition to the Hamlin area! I've had the pleasure of dining here twice since it opened and both times were excellent. Both times we started with the lavas and babaganoush. The lavas is so delicious! My husband and I got pretty full off of it but we couldn't stop eating it because it was so good. For our entree, we stuck with the mixed grill for two because we couldn't decide what we wanted. This is a great option because it gives you the chance to sample multiple items. Every item on our plate was delicious. Both times we've gone, the service has been amazing. The staff is very friendly and great at providing recommendations. The best part is their happy hour!! Bosphorous Winter Garden, I live right next to Bosphorous so my girlfriend and I wanted to try it out since it's been years. We walked in and greeted by the hostess which had a great personality and accomadated to our needs. 3 minutes pass and we were greeted by our server which she was right off the bat professional & had a great personality. We ordered 2 waters, hummus, baba ganoush, and the shephards salad. The Hummus unfortunately had no flavor to it BUT the Baba Ganoush had an abundance of flavor and it was the best pick with the bread we ordered to dip it in which is an easy upsell for the servers. The Shephards Salad was flavorful and filling for two people so that is a plus! Our server had 6 other tables to attend to but she kept checking on us and refilling our waters every 5 minutes, so she had a great tip on top of that! **Smaller portions at the same prices** We've been visiting Bosphorus Winter Garden for several years, and we have never been disappointed with the quality of the food. Our favorite item on the menu is the Chicken Sis Kebap, which my wife and I can easily share. Prior to our most recent visit, the Chicken Sis Kebap included 8 pieces of chicken. Tonight, we noticed that the portion size has been reduced to 6 pieces. We let the waitress know when we ordered that we had visited before, and that we would be splitting a dinner portion. Despite this, she made no mention that the portion would be 25% smaller than what we have received in the past. When we mentioned this after our food was delivered, the waitress confirmed that portion sizes had been decreased. I explained that had we been informed ahead of time, we would have spent another $23.95 to have a second order and taken home the leftovers. We didn't press the issue any further, but it is worth noting that the management did not make an appearance at our table to offer any explanation or apology. At $25-30 per entree, Bosphorus management should just raise their prices 25% rather than giving the customers less for the same money. It comes off as greedy and cheap - well below the standard that this restaurant has set. At the very least, staff should be forthcoming with regulars about the fact that they will be getting less food for the same money. read more

This was my second time dining at Bosphorous. We shared the sampler of dips and an order of lavash. It was delicious. One couple shared the ground chicken kabobs and the other shared moussaka. Both were excellent. The service was great. I will definitely be back if I'm in the area. read more
