My husband and I have been coming here almost weekly for years. The food is delicious. However, there was a change in management and servers and it's not the same. The servers are slow and rarely check back if you need anything. It's pretty rare to get a drink refill, if you're lucky to even get your drink at all. Oh man, I loved this place. My father has a friend from Turkey who claims this is the most authentic Mediterranean food you can get in the area. Being a big fan of this style of food, I had to come. My father claimed we should try to get there early because it tends to fill up quick and they take a while to cook the food, he wasn't kidding. We came in a little after 12 and the restaurant was packed (Sunday). We were able to get a booth right before a wait and line formed at the door. While you wait they bring you out warm pita bread to dip in chili infused oil. Oh my, was the pita bread delicious. You can definitely tell they make it fresh there. We ordered the Bosphorus platter to start off which consisted of hummus, baba gounush, ezme, tabuli,eggplant salad, cucumber dip and stuffed grape leaves. This platter had a bit of everything the restaurant had to offer and I absolutely loved it. It was all fresh and the flavors were delicious. We ordered our own meat platers, I got the chicken shish kebab, my dad got the spicy Adana kebab and my boyfriend got the mixed grill kebabs with lamb, chicken, kofta. All dishes were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. For dessert we ordered Turkish tea and a baklava platter. The tea was tasty but the baklavas were so darn good, I could have eaten the entire platter myself. The baklavas were also fresh, made daily and the cream served with it was amazing. The only downsides were that we did have to wait a while to get our food but the servers were constantly at our table to make sure we had pita bread and water. The wait is definitely worth it since you know it's all made right there and it was all fresh. Additionally, they do not serve alcohol here so if that is what you are looking for then do not come here. Overall, we had an amazing experience. The food exceeded my expectations and the staff was friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend this restaurant for those who enjoy Mediterranean dishes. called in to order takeout. I specifically asked if the gyro may was off the spit. She said yes. When I got the food home, I see that there are painted on grill marks, like Burger King burgers, and it tastes like the tofu burgers that they used to serve for lunch, in high school. I asked for 3 gyro sandwiches, but got 3 gyro players. The price difference is $6 for each. The only positive experience was the bread. It is really good. However, the hummus needed more lemon and falafel should come with Tahini sauce, not Cucumber sauce. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I was looking for real Mediterranean food, but got the same commercialized, fast food experience as every other place that I've tried in the Raleigh area. read more

I've been here a few times, and each time I've not been disappointed. Most recently, I ordered the Adana Kabob Plate, lured in by the spicy symbol next to the dish's name on the menu. The meat was deliciously seasoned, not super spicy, but had a good kick, and I really enjoyed the bed of Bulgor pilaf it came with. Their bread is pretty good, too. The service was super friendly, and it really felt like a community restaurant, which I appreciated. Great food and great service, makes for a great restaurant. I should have written this review earlier - not the easiest thing describing Turkish cuisine to people who don't eat it often. If you like Greek and Mediterranean food, it's worth giving Turkish a chance. And in Cary, one need not go further than Bosphorous. A friend and I arrived early in the evening (note: I advise you call ahead before going if you do not have a reservation - the restaurant is usually pretty busy), and I had the Beyti which was ground meat over flatbread with a spiced tomato sauce (as you can see in the picture). The herbs and seasonings they use are exquisite. I also ordered a Turkish soda (fruit essence - tasted like grape). A great little restaurant in Cary which could easily hold its own in Raleigh. For a different yet satisfying experience, give this place a try. read more

We have had dinner here a few times and the service has never been good. It seems like it gets worse and worse with each visit. Obviously, we enjoy the food here and that is the only reason why we come here but after my last two visits we will not come back anymore. Every time we come here the waiters are rude and ignore us. I am very patient because they get quite busy, and I completely understand. But all the waiters seem to lack skills. We usually always wait over 30 minutes to get the check and must hunt down a server to get it EVERY time. The waiters are extremely quiet and very awkward which always makes us feel very uncomfortable. They just seem not to care for their guests. The other night we were in the area and decided to have dinner at Bosphorus. Before we headed to the restaurant, we thought we will call and see if they have any tables available since we were a party of six. We were five minutes away and they told us that they still have plenty of seats and tables and to just come in. Once we got there, we were completely ignored by the staff. We were left just standing with six people at the entrance. There were multiple waiters looking right at us without greeting us or say anything. After five minutes a waiter finally approached us. He did not greet us or anything but just told us that they do not have a table left for us. He said, "look around...no table" and then immediately left. I cannot believe how rude he talked to us and how disrespectful he treated us. This was our last time coming here! This rate is not about the food. I just ordered some food from Bosphorus including lentil soup. I shared lentil soup with my husband and he finished half of it and I was eating, I suddenly felt something stiff in my mouth. Indifferent waiter was more interested in his phone than checking on our order or refilling drinks. 3% fee added to bill if payment is by card. 3% deducted if payment is in cash. The restaurant is absolutely fantastic. You get a good homey feel when you walk in. The service is amazing and the food is even better.

This place has amazing Mediterranean food, it's the freshest you'll find in Cary, and definitely the best tasting! Pretty much anything on the menu is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. Only downside is the parking lot gets super full because there are so many businesses packed into this small strip mall and the parking lot is way too small. We came here on a rainy day and my husband, a serious kebab connoisseur, really enjoyed their mixed kebabs today. We loved their bread as always with dipping flavored oil. I had Turkish tea (free refills) and he had Turkish coffee (he said "oh it's like espresso?"). This family owned establishment has such delicious food. It's super busy and one of the owners smiles as he serves even as the restaurant was overflowing with people and the kitchen was overwhelmed. Their bread is fresh and different - made with black and white sesame seeds. The portions were large, the take-out time estimate was spot on, the baba ghanoush was so incredibly flavorful, the mixed kababs were soft and full of umami. We ordered takeout from here. It took a couple of calls to get through but we just assumed they were super busy and they were! No wonder this place is so busy. The food was great! The bread that came with the meals was perfection and the kabob grill sampler was perfect for someone who is indecisive! My boyfriend got the lamb shish kabobs and those were great too! We shared the cigars for an appetizer and those were crispy and filled with yummy feta cheese and other seasoning. What we really rave about is the baklava. It's was literally the best baklava we have ever had. It was crispy, buttery, sweet, and nutty. It was so good! Maybe next time we will order a whole tray of baklava. read more

We went to lunch and it was a clearly busy Friday afternoon. After a 10 minute wait we were seated in a booth simply because the staff knew we had a child dining with us so they found us the most convenient table. This is a family owned restaurant and they are wonderfully welcoming! All our wait staff took the patience to explain the menu to us and we got a variety of foods. Everything was delicious and bursting with flavor. The hummus platter, lunch sandwich and spicy Kabab were all fantastic.
