2 stars for decent customer service. Really wanted to like this place! Something that really turned me off about Boss coffee & creamery is the fact that they nickle & dimed me.. They charge for whip cream & caramel & also 1$ for espresso in a frappe. For 2 frappe's, I paid 17.79.. Next time, I'll just go to Starbs! Supporting local businesses is really important to me, but price gouging doesn't really sit well with me. Never have I paid that much for my caffeine fix. Lesson learned today, always always always check prices on everything before going up to order. You will not be made aware of the extra hidden costs, not until you have your card swiped & you realize how much it all is. Atleast the frappe tasted yummy. Won't be back. read more

Boss Coffee and Creamery is a good place to get coffee and ice cream. Why does that sound good together? I don't know. But I was curious about this place because I have never been to one. They sell pretty good coffee. I ordered just coffee black to see if it would be any good and I was pleasantly surprised. I was skeptical at first because it's the mall food court but it was good. I always do that coffee black taste test. If their coffee is good without sugar and cream then they pass my test. They have a great staff their too. They guy I was talking was friendly and polite. He was engaging in a conversation too, not just trying to take my order and get to the next customer. We also got one of this ice cream sandwiches with a double chocolate cookie and a regular chocolate cook with cookies and cream ice cream, I know bare with me. It was delicious! Although next time I would just suggest to get both chocolate cookies because that cookie where better than the double chocolate cookie. Back to the coffee it was well priced and cheap that Starbucks. I really like that about this place. The price was very good compared to a few other coffee shop for just a regular cup off coffee. The reason why I am giving them a 5 star is because from when I step up to the counter to checking out at the cashier. It was a pleasant experience and the quality was fair for the price. I would say I have had better coffee and ice cream in my life time but the overall experience deserved a 4.5 star really but I rounded it up hahah. Well you don't really have an option for that. Decided to go shopping at the mall for the first time in a while and of course had to get food. Ate some pizza first and when I was about to head out, I noticed this new little café. I didn't feel like ordering anything too complex today so I stuck with a medium cup of coffee ($1.99). They had their bunch of baked goods right by the register and a jar full of madeleines (pre-packaged) that was all too tempting. Was just gonna order one for $0.75 but the cashier went for the up-sale and said they also sell them at 3 for $2. I caved. Anyway their main desserts are the ice cream cookie sandwiches which I will definitely try next time I'm here! The workers were very quick, friendly, and full of smiles! read more

I wish I felt like this place deserved one star... stopped in for a coffee while shopping and ordered two drinks off their special. After saying it five times, pointing to the menu and waiting literally eight minutes for her to find it in the system, I watched them make the iced drinks. The first make a hot drink and dump it over the ice, melting it, and add more ice to stop it off. I wanted to try their coffee first before I make a review but heck their ice cream was the best I've ever had. I got a scoop of mango and a scoop of coffee on a waffle cone and one taste while paying I exclaimed to the cashier that it was really really good!!! Then she added it is good plus it is locally made (Minden) and it's gluten free!!! Oh no wonder why it tasted so fresh!!! This place has the freshest tasting ice cream I've had in a while, much better tasting than Baskin Robbins. I was with two other people and we all ordered large milkshakes. While it is a bit pricey for a what you get (around 5.50 for the large, which is more like a medium), it is worth the price. There was a coffee flavor my boyfriend got and I recommend anyone who likes coffee to try it. Also, whipped cream is .15 extra, not a big deal but a bit of a surprise when I've never been charged for it before at other places. The gentleman who made our drinks was very polite. My wife and I were in the mall and decided to try this as I was in the mood for ice cream and she wanted a ice coffee. Her coffee tasted watered down and had a bitter aftertaste like no sweetener was added.(She had amaretto flavoring)My ice cream cone ( I got Oreo) was not edible. I have never thrown away an ice cream cone before, until now. Not sure what this was made of, but it was not sweet at all. At least it only cost $6. read more

I decided to get a cup of coffee around 2 PM today. It was very full so I only put in a small amount of cream, but that was ok. When I took a sip it was not hot. I drank a few more sips but I like my coffee hot. I took it back up to the counter and told the lady that my coffee was lukewarm . She said "oh" , not I'm sorry just oh. She took my cup and stuck it in the microwave. Really! the only thing worse than lukewarm coffee is microwaved coffee. When she gave it back to me she said you know the cream is cold so it cools off the coffee. It doesn't make it lukewarm I told her. These guys are awesome! Their coffee is great and so much more reasonably priced than other places, ice cream is great. Their soups are great, in particular the Italian wedding soup (soup varies each day Fri-Sun currently). A great choice while shopping or go out of your way and get some great food/drinks. The service at Boss coffee was not only then best I have had recently but the woman that was working not only made delicious coffee but had such a glowing personality that we can not wait to come back when we visit next time!!! Will never go back to this business. There were three employees, the super/manager was training two. They got a special order & all three left to go watch/make the confection. It took awhile to put together because they were winging it. I was never acknowledged no "sorry to keep you waiting" or we'll be right with you". When I did get to order, I ordered a chocolate, soft serve cone, she came back with vanilla, I told her I asked for chocolate, she said "I know, but we don't have chocolate". I then said I would have appreciated her telling me that. She then says "well, do you want it or not?" I certainly hope the two young employees she was "teaching" didn't believe that was appropriate behavior toward a customer. read more
