I was asking them through their portal that you have to join, on boarding my cat which was approved. All good there, but when I needed an answer to a few questions, there were no answers. They do not have a phone number to call or a person to speak to. The communication there is horrible. I don't live nearby to talk to them, so it makes it even more impossible. Your deposit is non-refundable, but I'll see about that through my bank which is fraud on their part. I paid that deposit well over a month. I would worry about boarding my cat there. read more

Absolutely LOVE this place! Before you even enter they have the most amazing signage. Staff is friendly and go above and beyond! You can tell so much time and thought went into every square foot of the space. Stay for a beverage and snack and don't forget to shop! So many cute items. Best part the kitties!!! Some are residents and some you can adopt! My favorite was Duchess a cat that has had a tough start in life but I was honored when she came over to sit with me. Plenty of parking out front and sometimes they have kittens for an extra fee you can visit. Buy tickets ahead of time as they can sell out. I already can't wait to come back! read more

I had my niece for the weekend and decided to take her to the cat-fé. I've donated from time to time, but hadn't gone in before. It's best practice to book a time slot ahead of your visit. We went in on a Sunday, at 11 am, just as they were opening. There is a cute little cafe as you enter the business. You can purchase treats for the cats or drinks, before or after your visit. The folks working there will ask you to put on reusable shoe covers and to hand sanitize before you get to hang with the kitties. This was quick and easy! We had to wait just for a little amount of time before we could go in. As we entered the room, we were given the 'run-down' on all the cats; from the permanent residents to the adoptables. We picked a place to sit on the floor to hang out. We were given some toys and our day with the cats began. The room does have a 'multi-cat' odor. I wouldn't call it overwhelming, but it is very noticeable when you first enter. I quickly ceased to notice it once we began playing with the cats. There is lots of seating with lots of room for the kitties to run around. You may want to consider paying an extra-fee for the kitten cottage. I believe there were only two kittens in the cottage when we were there. I found just playing with the cats to be satisfying and very enjoyable. I do wish there was some small perk for donors, even if it was a tierd thing. For now, I imagine the business is too small to entertain that, but maybe in future. Great place! Kitty Kisses Cafe is one of the most unique cafes I've been to in Reno. A cafe serving drinks and snacks in front and a lovely cat lounge/sanctuary in back. Fun and relaxing decor. You can watch the cats through windows in the cafe or visit them in the lounge. There are some limits/rules in the lounge for the cats' welfare, so check those ahead of time if you plan to visit the lounge. Another great thing about this place is they have a related rescue organization. They help cats find homes, look after feral cat colonies in the area, and more. In addition to the resident cats, the lounge also houses cats in need of adoption. The folks working there are so friendly and knowledgeable about cats. I had driven by the cafe so many times and didn't realize it was there. It turns out they look after a feral cat colony near where I work. I ran into them while they were leaving food and water for the cats and have been volunteering with the rescue since. read more

**One Star -- Disappointing Experience & Misleading Practices** We visited Kitty Kisses Cafe expecting a fun and hopeful experience with the goal of adopting a kitten. What we got instead felt more like a money-making scheme than a rescue mission. First, they charge $20 per person as it was the weekend just to be in the room with kittens. Then, we noticed an additional $10 charge on our card yes, I have the bank record to prove it, so this is NOT "fake news." The employees were overbearing and dismissive. From the start, it was clear they weren't there to help us find the right cat -- they were there to push their narrative. Every kitten we liked was apparently "bonded" with another one, so we couldn't adopt just one -- even though our goal was to responsibly adopt and care for a single cat. We were repeatedly told we'd have to adopt two, or nothing at all. To make matters worse, many of the kittens weren't even on-site they were in foster care, so we couldn't meet or interact with them before making a decision. That defeats the entire point of a visit, doesn't it? After this frustrating experience, we went home and checked Craigslist. Thank god for normal people who actually care about animals instead of trying to monetize them under the guise of "rescue." We were able to rescue one adorable, healthy kitten and yes, we were even allowed to pet it. Imagine that. Honestly, organizations like the Humane Society and the actual SPCA have it figured out; you can meet ANY animal, spend time with them, and make an informed, compassionate choice. Kitty Kisses Cafe? More like Kitty Cash Grab. Do better. ***** As for my unvaccinated, un microchipped, "lonely" kitten she is just fine! Actually she is getting everything done tomorrow. You want to talk about "bonding?" I have bottle fed her since the day we got her" because her mom wasn't producing milk anymore. Unfortunately, the kittens we were interested before at the SPCA had ringworm and I'm a post-transplant recipient. We also informed you that we had another cat (which was adopted from the SPCA) I also have my ADA service dog. Unfortunately, PetSmart didn't inform us that almost every kitten you have is fostered and "bonded." Had we adopted from the SPCA we would have come home with a kitten, even if it was partnered with another. It's sad that you have to constantly defend your business when even PetSmart employees warned us about you being a 3rd Party not the SPCA. Maybe expand your kitten area and not have them in a covered chicken coupe. So you can have more of the bonded kittens available to see. Learn to be a professional human being. It's one the to defend your business but it's another when you become a hateful individual towards a kitten that I still RESCUED!!!***** read more

Visiting the cafe is a nice way to kill a few hours and hang out with adoptable cats and get some cat love. There is a little cafe area in the front where you can purchase snacks or other merchandise. The kitties are in the back lounge area where you can hang out and interact with them. The Cat Cafe takes great care to place kitties with families and they care greatly about the wellbeing of all of their cats. We adopted a kitty from them a few years ago now and we love him! The adoption process was very smooth and the fee covers the cost of vaccines which you would need to get anyways. Also, if you need them to hold the cat for you for a few days after adoption and before taking home, they can do so for a small fee which is a nice convenience! read more

Super cute concept. This place rescues cats from a specific outreach program. Then they bring the cats here, kittens too, for human interaction and transition them into adapting homes. Me and my friend came here for a two for one reservation on a Tuesday. Usually it is a reservation of 15 dollars per person. I believe they said we could stay in the cat lounge for an hour. When you first come in you have to sign a waiver after your first reservation when you come back you do not have to sign the waiver again. I thought that was cool. They told us the rules and we had to take our shoes off before entering. We were told we have to see the kittens first then the adult cats. The kittens are separated into their own area within the cat lounge. They sell coffee, a and some prepackaged drinks too, like boba and wine for example. We opted to get a boba drink in midtown after leaving here since the prices were fairly similar. This is the only cat cafe in Reno so far. I'm looking forward to see how Reno embraces them. read more

We've been to Kitty Kisses several times and always enjoy going. The owner has created a warm inviting place for both humans and cats. There's no better therapy than cat snuggles and that is what Kitty Kisses provides in plenty. They do sell drinks and snack, but the cats are the main event. Highly recommend this experience to all cat lovers. Tip: for extra snuggles, book during the week, there aren't usually as many visitors as on the weekend and the cats tend to be a bit more interactive. read more

Extremely disappointed by this businesses, professional conduct July 2025 I had one of the most upsetting experiences with this business. I booked a Saturday visit for my 9-year-old daughter--who had been so excited to go--after carefully reviewing the vendor's policies. From my reading, she met the age criteria for that day. However, shortly after booking, my reservation was abruptly canceled, and I was informed that children were only allowed on Sundays. I had looked before and recalled they had limited times but not just Sundays. While I would have been happy to reschedule, the vendor did not offer this or provide a refund. In fact, they charged me and then became completely unresponsive to multiple emails. There is no phone number to call on the website, making it extremely difficult to communicate. Eventually, I had to go to the establishment in person to get any kind of reply. I was then told I had violated a policy and I agreed to their terms which apparently meant they'd just take my money. After posting a yelp review I was then accused of trying to "sneak" my daughter in. That accusation is completely false and offensive--I followed what I believed were the rules, which are buried in pages of unclear policies. Also, After posting a Yelp review to share my experience, the business shockingly responded by posting both my full name and my minor child's full name, along with accusations and threatening language. This is a serious privacy concern and a disturbing response to a paying customer and violates yelp policies. I strongly caution anyone considering this business to be aware of how poorly they handle communication, refunds, and basic customer service. This has been a very upsetting experience--not just for me, but for my daughter who was deeply disappointed. If you read the 67 reviews you'll find more of the same thing on their policies and other customers who were concerned about how the establishment charges. You'll then find their responses all meant to shame someone for leaving a review. Kitty Kisses you do not have my permission to post my minor child's name. Shame me by posting my name but not my child. I left an honest review. These are not practices that will keep you in business. Be kind, it's called customer service. This is how you get repeat customers not the opposite. My one experience could have gained you more business and good word of mouth and repeat visits. This is quite the experience. As an animal lover, this is the place to be. These cars are living their absolute best life. The place is sparkling clean in both parts. The front half is the cafe area where you can sit and enjoy a beverage of choice and chat or just watch the cats in the window. For a small fee ($15) you can go into the car living area and pet and play with all the cats. I absolutely fell in love with a sweetheart named Harmony. There is a section in their waiver that states after one warning they can add on additional fees for broken rules. You will not be notified of this fee, it will quietly be added to the card you paid with. If you feel the fee is unfair you can dispute the charge with your bank/credit card. Never thought I'd find one of these in Reno! I'm used to seeing these cafes at Japan, but what a pleasant surprise to find a cozy cafe with cute kitties to cozy up with! They have a big space, with the cat area in a separate large playroom. Then they have the cafe with ample seating at the entrance and a lounge/meeting space/ quiet area upstairs. I'll start with the cat area; basically to pet the cats you have to reserve a time. It is $15 per hour for adults and kids 6-15, but kids 5 and under are free. They do have group bookings for group of 3 or more, which reduces the price to $12 per person. Lastly, they have memberships with unlimited access to the cats for $10. There are times slots to when the cats are able to be seen at a time. Although I was unable to pet the cats this time, I was able to sneak a quick visit in to see what the cats were up to. At the moment, there were only two in the play area as the rest were resting or have been adopted. I'm really glad the cats have some time to rest, because they looked tired. But their play area was large and had some toys they could play with. In the cafe area, they sold a variety of coffee and teas along with cat inspired pastries. Everything was reasonably priced and I sat upstairs where it was empty with lots of seating. This is a cute place for a good cause. I can definitely see myself coming back to enjoy the atmosphere then coming down to have some cat therapy. read more

On Wednesday I did the Cat Yoga. And I highly recommend!! I've never done yoga before but I had a blast! And being surrounded by cats?!? Even better! At first I was a bit nervous, that I might be doing it wrong. But who cares, if you have fun and feel relaxed. You are fine! I felt so great afterwards my stress from the week went away. I'd love to make this a weekly thing but it's $25 a person. So maybe be once a week. But like I said you get to pet kitties while you yoga! Can't beat that! I've been to several cat cafes and this is the best one I visited! You can tell the cats are very loved and well taken care of. There were many sweet babies who wanted chin scratches and head pats. I also want to clear up a few things I've read from other reviews here. Growing up, I did not realize cats are different than dogs in how they socialize. They will take a bit to warm up to you and they get startled easily so it's important to move slowly and speak in quiet voices. It's easy for kids to get excited and approach them too quickly which could result in them being scared and running away or lashing out. Here are some tips for you [and your kiddos] to get the best experience out of your visit: -Approach cats slowly and quietly, and sit down next to them so you're not a looming giant over them -Make a fist with your hand and put the back of your hand a few inches from their face so they can sniff you. Nails=claws, which is why you want to make a fist -Give gentle, slow pets. Head scratches are usually safe to start, you can also try brushing your hand slowly down their back. However, if they sink their back down when you do that, stop petting them there -Chin scratches are also very popular but start with head scratches/pats and see how they respond because it's also safer for you -Avoid touching their paws or belly. If they roll on their back next to you, it can be a sign they want belly rubs but again be gentle -When they move away or if their tail starts swishing quickly left and right, it can be a sign of agitation/wanting to be left alone. Respect their boundaries, move on to another cat, and come back later if you want to see if they're ready to socialize again Remember that cats are the equivalent of human toddlers. They're little sentient beings who have feelings just like us. If we're not always in the mood to engage with other people, why should we expect them to? It's important to remember while they can be a loving friend and companion, they're not there to entertain us. In my opinion this is a great opportunity to learn [or teach a child] how to respect boundaries of others. Also for those saying there are too many rules, it basically boils down to being respectful of the cats and their environment and keeping both you and the cats safe. These cats are all rescues and some of them had been abandoned, abused, or bullied by other animals so some of them are still learning to trust humans again. Given that, most of the cats let me pet them [and one of them even asked for belly rubs!] and I had a great time here. They were all very sweet and I did not feel uncomfortable at all during my visit. The owners were great to chat with. The negative reviews seem to be from people who feel entitled & want the cats to be at their beck and call or people who are simply irresponsible. If you just behave like a normal human being, you will have a great time. You might even find your furever friend if you're looking to adopt! This is a great business to support and I would recommend them to anyone who loves animals. read more

Clean well-run cat cafe. My visit was 11am on a Tuesday, and all the cats were awake, friendly, and comfortable around me. Kudos to the owner for providing a safe space where the cats feel comfortable - that isn't easy. Most of the rules pertain to developing this serene environment and are useful tips for any cat cafe. The kitten cottage was worth the extra$ for me; those kittens were climbing all over me, and loved being pet. The food/drink is nothing special, but I enjoyed my much needed coffee. There are a good amount of tables to sit at, and then a 'bar height' area where you can view into the cat room. It's $15 per person per hour to play with the cats. I did not play with the cats at the time, but I did try an IPA from Revision with a cute cat logo. The gentleman working that day was very helpful and gave a great tour of all they have to offer in the cafe. I could tell he really loved his job and loved working there. I'm not a huge cat person so I'm not sure I will return, but if you love cats, you should definitely check it out. read more

My family and I had the BEST time at the Enchanted Cat Cafe this morning. We paid $13 per adult and $5 for our baby. We also decided to do the kitten cottage add on for $5 a person. The kitten cottage was our favorite part because it was the baby's favorite. Little Lola (the kitten) was so playful and sprinted back and forth playing with the laser and my daughter couldn't get enough! The big cat room was fun too, as all those kitties looooved the treats (that they sell up front for $1.50) and all were so sweet. I think it's so cool that this place isn't just for profit and they work with a local rescue to help cats find forever homes. I am incredibly impressed by the cleanliness of this place as well! There was ZERO cat smell and the floors were clean enough that I didn't mind my baby sitting on them! I also loved talking with the owner's mom who was working in the cat room. You can tell they all really love this place and all the kitties in it. Lastly, I really appreciate how kid friendly this place is. They not only welcome kids, but they are also set up for them with kids chairs, books and even kids steps so they can reach the sink in the bathroom. read more

They open at 11am Sharp! I'd recommend getting there 15 mins early to prepare for questions, directions, shoe removal and drink orders. coffee, beer, wines and snack foods are available to purchase, As well as kitty treats, cups and soap etc. I think this is a wonderful idea and a great way to adopt a cat or two, BUT they want $120 per cat to be adopted!! For that price I don't think they will be getting adopted anytime soon. I was very disappointed in the coffee and always recommend good places in town but this place is not one of them. The coffee is out of a machine so don't expect anything fancy or even drinkable. The girl that helped us was a gem! she was very knowledgeable about the cats and seemed to enjoy it.
