KIO honey butter, soy garlic, and O.G. wings / French Fries / Mochi Cheese Ball Doughnuts
    Angelica L.

We were hungry after our event at Fremont Street so we went on Yelp and found KIO which was located 3-4 mins from us. KIO is part of a ghost kitchen so the place looked sketchy from the picture, especially late at night. We still decided to go, and got there around 1:15ish AM. The place was actually well-lit and secured behind the thick metal gates so don't be afraid! The owner and his girlfriend were outside when we parked. They greeted us, walked us inside, and explained the ordering process. You can order via a kiosk, directly with the owner/girlfriend, online via their website, or through food delivery apps. It does take about 20 mins to make the chicken so if you're in a hurry, I recommend you place your order online. There are some tables inside the ghost kitchen for you to eat, but the majority of people take their orders to-go. While we were waiting for our food, we got to chat with the owner. He genuinely cares about his customers, making an effort to get to them, and is trying to build a community here. It's clear that the owner has a deep love for the food industry, especially when it comes to chicken and strongly believes in his product. On top of that, he's just a really cool guy and is someone we think we'd be great friends with. You can tell he's got big dreams of expanding, and with his passion, I have no doubt he'll make it happen :) Now for the food itself. If you order wings, the order will come with a side of pickled white radish. This is a must have (in my opinion) to balance out the savoriness of Korean fried chicken. In terms of the chicken flavor, the owner said it's lighter than your typical Korean fried chicken. I didn't understand it until I tried the wings. The batter is thinner so you don't taste a lot of flour, and the wings do not taste overly greasy. The chicken is just absolutely phenomenal--crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. KIO O.G. (Original) Wings: I thought O.G. wings would be boring with little to no seasoning but KIO proved me wrong. It's brined with special ingredients and fried in a unique batter so that's probably what contributed to the amazing flavor profiles. It was also the crispiest of all the wings we got. The wings come with both the KIO House and KIO Padak sauces which is nice; at other Korean restaurants, you would have to pay extra for the sauces. KIO Honey Butter Wings: This was good but could use a bit more of the honey butter sprinkles. You can enjoy this one with additional sauces since the honey butter flavor is more on the subtle side. KIO Savory Soy Garlic Wings: I rarely find a place that does soy garlic well so I was pleasantly surprised to find that this was actually my favorite of the 3 wings I tried. Their soy garlic sauce was perfect so you don't need any extra sauce. KIO House Sauce: This is a sweet & garlicky aioli made with fresh garlic & ginger using a Korean chili paste. It tasted very similar to sriracha mayo and was great for dipping the fries in. KIO KIO Sauce: This is a sweet & spicy aioli made from roasted garlic & Korean chili paste. The description sounds good, but this sauce missed the mark for me. I didn't think it complimented the korean fried chicken or fries. KIO Padak Sauce: This is a tangy Korean mustard sauce mixed with honey, lemon juice, and scallion and is basically a Korean version of wasabi. It's got a nice kick to it and pairs well with the KIO O.G. wings. KIO French Fries ($6.99): The fries came with a sauce which I think is chipotle, but I could be wrong. These were delicious and great alone or dipped in sauce. They weren't that crispy by the time we got home, but the flavors were outstanding enough to make them taste so good still. KIO Kimchi ($2.50): Their kimchi was just okay and fell short compared to everything else we tried. That's not to say it was bad. KIO Mochi Cheese Ball Doughnuts ($6.99 for 4 pieces): Woah, these doughnuts were intriguing. My palette was so confused because there were so many flavors and textures with this doughnut, but not in a bad way. The doughnut had a nice fluffy presentation. When you take the first bite, it deflates then becomes chewy and soft inside. I wasn't sure what the filling was because it was slightly sweet from the sugar on top then changes to creamy from the cream cheese and ended with a bit savory from the mozzarella cheese. The doughnuts come with a side of condensed milk which paired well together. My husband and I are definitely rooting for this place and can't wait to come back to try their other items!

This is take out/delivery only as they are a ghost kitchen. I appreciated that they are open a bit later. The food took about 30/40ish minutes to make but everything was very good! They were very personable calling us back to ensure we got everything and were willing to bring it out to the car. We went in the evening so the building is a bit tucked off but once you find it there is ample parking to wait. I do prefer a harder fry on my chicken but the chicken was very juicy and well flavored. The secret spicy yam wings had a nice kick to them and paired well with the fresh hot white rice. The fries were yummy and I had to stop myself from eating them all on the car ride home.I have never had cold seaweed soup but it was really refreshing and tied into the rest of the meal. I'm looking forward to trying the other flavors of wings next time!

I don't want to post this review because I want to gate keep it -- they're that good. I personally don't like eating chicken because I am very picky. When it comes to my wings, they need to be crispy on the outside, flavorful throughout and not bland by any means, and most importantly MOIST. KIO KFC excelled in all of this. We are huuuuuge fans of Pelicana Chicken but KIO is far superior in our opinion. KIO is primarily a pickup/delivery food establishment aka ghost kitchen (check out my videos/pictures for our initial reaction upon arrival). We didn't order ahead of time because we thought there was a dine in option, so we ordered when we got there and patiently waiting for our chicken (about 30 min). If you are picking up, walk up the ramp, it will lead you to a small white room. This is a lobby area for various food establishments so once you arrive, call KIO once you are there. I've seen them also bring the food out to cars as well for pickup. My boyfriend and I ordered the following: 40 pieces of chicken (soy garlic wet, spicy yam yam wet, original dry w/ side of padak sauce (if you like horseradish this is good), and honey butter dry (my favorite), OG chicken sandwich, sides - rice cos we're Filipino and eat our chicken wings with rice (wings were so good we forgot about it lol), french fries (crispy and moist throughout our whole dinner, should've gotten more). Between the two of us we finished EVERYTHING. EVERYTHINGGG. We live in Henderson and we will drive to them again - no hesitation. We will also have them catered in the future (if they do that) because they are so good. Note about their customer service: Since it is a pickup/delivery service there is not much contact but while we were eating in the parking lot we realized we never got our drinks. (we were already 80% done with our food and didn't drink anything lol - that good.) I just called them back and she was so kind, she sincerely apologized and already planned on texting and refunding our drinks, but I told her we were just outside and she just brought them out and offered ice as well. I forgot her name but we had a short conversation with her about our experience. We truly appreciate the genuine hospitality and overall amazing foodie experience from them.

packing the food like this , was never smart. food came mad cold , and thats not on the driver as much as it on the restaurant for not providing a cover for the food. a paper bag is not a cover when the food itself is in open-faced boxes. it just not smart packaging. and this food cost 50 dollars btw. 50 dollars for this.

Buldak Spicy flavor. Hotter than you expect!

These wings have such exceptionally unreal flavor that I worry my entire dinner was just a heat-induced fever dream. Flavor Country.~ Honey Butter is tops! Delivery under an hour and they threw in free fries and kimchi, to boot. ‍‍

I got the #2 KIO Mega Wings Box Combo with OG KIO (no sauce) plus the Korean Banana Milk, KIO Cold Seaweed Soup, White Rice & Korean Banana Milk, and ordered the Korean mustard sauce on the side and everything was SO GOOD!! I was a little early picking up my dinner since I came right after tennis, and thought I'd just wait in the lobby. The instructions in my receipt were very clear since they're operating out of a ghost kitchen, and I called to let them know I arrived early. The owner came out to greet me with some water which was really nice of her, and asked me if I wanted to try any sauces besides the mustard one I got. She made some suggestions and came out with my dinner soon after. The chicken was super fresh and juicy, the cold seaweed soup was perfect after playing tennis in 106F weather, the rice had the right amount of stickiness and the (padak?) sauce with the Korean mustard was the most delicious sauce I ever had (it tasted like the Chinese mustard you get at dim sum restaurants, but saucier and not yellow)! I didn't think I'd finish everything because it looked like a lot, but I must have worked up an appetite and was so stuffed that I'm saving my banana milk to make coffee with in the morning. I saw her sweet note afterwards and it made my dinner even better. I'd highly recommend and will come back to get my KFC fix!

The place to get fried chicken.

Wow! Amazing food!! Chicken wings were the best! And the fries are nothing like I've had before- they were coated in some sweet crunchy toasty batter and it worked so well! We enjoyed everything about the food. Wish there's something like this where we live. We'll be sure to come back the next time we visit Vegas again. It's quickly our favorite! The location is a little strange but nothing to worry about it. It looks a bit random and out of place, and the inside looks like an office waiting room maybe? Regardless, the service was great and the food was bomb!! Totally worth checking out!

Didn't get a chance to take a photo because we finished off the chicken so quick (edit: my friends got a photo!). Amazing service and probably the best Korean Fried Chicken I've had thus far. Lots of options to choose from too. Wish it was a little more price friendly, but you're paying for quality.

They share the same kitchen and have the same menus. The only difference is Chicago Brewing Company has a bar and is full bar. If you don't need full bar or don't need to watch sports on TVs, Magnolia's Veranda is the better choice. Read on. The non-smoking section of Chicago Brewing Company is pretty small with just a handful of tables. If you sit in the bar area, which has a lot more seating, you might be subjected to cigar and cigarette smoke. I don't smoke, but I don't mind cigarette smoke in Vegas, but cigar smoke when people are eating is a dyck move if you ask me. Take it outside. Magnolia's Veranda is cavernous. I've never had to wait for a table no matter the time of day, and the service is always great. I will say in my experience the service at Chicago Brewing Company was great, too, based on my one visit, but I wonder how it might be during busy times. It appeared to me the front of the house was handled by the bartender and the hostess. I could foresee them getting in the weeds when it's busy. For this lunch outing at Chicago Brewing Company, I chose the Cobb salad hold the eggs. It was generous portioned and excellent. The service was excellent, too. It was on the ball from start to finish. Cheers! Be sure to check out my Las Vegas pics and pans collection.

I got the pepperoni pizza. They do not skimp out on the pepperoni at all. The pizza is sliced up into squares. We got the thin crust and the pepperoni is stacked like 6-7 on the pizza. My husband found it to be too salty, but that's probably from the pizza. I was extremely hungry after not having dinner and it was already 11:30pm. The entrance might be easy to miss. You have to go up some stairs to get to the restaurant. One minus point was that the ceiling was dripping water down. Doesn't make the dining experience fell all that great, though we couldn't sit elsewhere as we needed a bigger table.

What drew me in to this restaurant was a past appearance on the Maury Povich Show, where I took a paternity test for someone who claimed she was my daughter. The end result? I was cleared, so Maury pointed at me while telling her that he's "Not yo' daddy." And so I visit Nacho Daddy on occasion, strictly for celebratory reasons. Birria nachos are excellent, made with a high quality shredded beef with pickled onion, cilantro, sour cream, cheese, and lime on top of a stack of chips. Having birria without consommé was new, but this one didn't really need it with all the flavors jumping out. Another recommendation is the cheeseburger nacho, an Americanized version with ground beef, bacon, cheddar, jack, queso, onions, tomato, and lettuce. The 'mini nachos' are perfectly sized for a light meal but if you're hungry, get the full size order which is huge and shareable. When it came time to pay our bill, our bank cards were temporarily unavailable due to a system outage. We had the money. This was not a financial issue. It was a technical one we were actively working to resolve. Instead of being given a moment, security surrounded our table and treated us as though we were attempting to leave without paying. We were not. We never attempted to leave. I want to note that a couple of the security members were actually kind and professional throughout. A manager then approached with immediate hostility white male, tattoos, wearing a white crop shirt, and beige pants) no introduction, and no interest in hearing our explanation. My brother sent $30 via Zelle directly to a security staff member to settle the bill. It was paid in full. He called the police anyway. And trespassed us anyway. I had offered to leave my ID as collateral, leave card information on file, or return the next morning. Every offer was refused before we even got to that point. The responding officers acknowledged his behavior was inappropriate. His own staff was visibly uncomfortable. Unless you are prepared to be treated as a suspect over something completely outside your control, I would think twice before dining here.

He is polite, respectful, and actually understands what customer service means. Without him, this would be a zero-star review. I stayed away from this place for a while because of past experiences, but I thought I'd give it another try. Big mistake. The front counter employee (short, rude, and completely disrespectful) the name of my receipt was "BRETT B." had absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. The way he speaks to customers is unacceptable. While we were there, we literally watched him look around to see if anyone was paying attention and then pour beer into a cup and drink it while working. We even recorded it -- unfortunately you can't post videos here. It was obvious something was off. His behavior, the lack of awareness, the attitude -- it left customers standing there whispering in shock that he was even on shift. It didn't stop there. While waiting at the pickup window, we watched a tall, bald employee standing on top of the deep fryers -- which were actively in use -- scraping the exhaust vents with a large knife. Those fryers contain extremely hot oil. Watching someone balance over active cooking equipment like that was alarming. If that's not a safety concern, I don't know what is. It certainly didn't look safe or professional. I'm sure OSHA will like to see the video that we have as well as the Southern Nevada Health District because I'm sure that these are both places that will see violation. As I fully planned to call my friend Joshua that works there and email him all of this. As for the food? The burgers are consistently dry and rarely made the way you order them. You don't get what you ask for. Period. I ordered medium and it was completely red inside. Please see photos and when I called and asked him about why it was wrong. The answer I got was the following. " well I don't know what to tell you. We only make what you give us when you order. You should check it before you walked away." It's unfortunate because this location has potential. It's in a casino, right by the sportsbook, and it's convenient -- which is likely the only reason people keep going. But convenience does not excuse poor service, questionable professionalism, and obvious safety concerns. I stand where I can see my food being prepared because I genuinely don't trust what's going on behind that counter. That says everything. This place needs serious evaluation of who they have working there and how it's being managed. Until that happens, I do not recommend eating here. Not unless you're prepared for incorrect orders, dry food, and customer service that makes you feel like you're an inconvenience. You'd honestly receive better service at McDonald's. I won't be going back. Eat here with caution.

Very good restaurant if you're craving Asian food. I came over here massively hungover and this was…read moreexactly what I needed. Great decor, ambience and staff. Very attentive and friendly. We got the brisky dumplings, pan seared. I Was expecting the small din tai fung sized ones with little filling, but these were FAT dumplings, with good amounts of brisket inside. WE got the brisket fried rice - also very good, and the garlic noodles. I really liked the char that the noodles and rice had. Only thing for me is that the fried rice and noodles seemed to have a little too big much oil in it. I don't think that's an indictment on 8 east itself, but more of a general Chinese/Taiwanese cooking method. But other than that, I would certainly come back again.
