This restaurant is Keith Lee certified and I totally understand why. I ordered the fried fish, Mac & collard greens and this was the first time I can say that southern food did not feel heavy & did not lack in flavor. The food is indeed Delicious! The service in the front is a little slow but the food and the friendly service makes up for it. Whenever I'm back in Vegas I will definitely be stopping at sista Kims kitchen.

It was good to get back to Vegas and try food that was not on the strip; especially from a price perspective. This was a no-frills straight to the point type of establishment [Soulfood'].The service here was very good; the servers were extremely friendly and constant asking if you needed something. The food was absolutely delicious; I had the catfish and chicken with the sweet buffalo honey sauce!!!! That was an experience. The only thing I wish they had was a more diverse drink selection. Alot of what they has was super sugary and not something I particularly like with heavy food like this. I would definitely come back especially to support local off-strip businesses.

The chicken is perfectly seasoned and cooked. Catfish nuggets are excellent. The French fries are simple and great. The location was clean and the service was wonderful. The portions are huuuge. The sides are delicious without being overly salted like similar restaurants. There is a little bit of a wait but well worth it. Just plan to order in advance for pickup or stay a little while. They have a no expectation to tip situation. We will definitely make it a regular spot to come to. I want to try everything!!!

The food was excellent! We had sweet heat lemon pepper & lemon pepper fried fish, lemon pepper & sweet heat lemon pepper chicken wing, shrimp, greens, red beans and rice, mac & cheese and yams. I give this place 4 on food and a 5 on service. We will definitely be coming back.

This was my first time at Sista Kim Kitchen in Las Vegas, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. When we arrived, several key menu items were already unavailable, including oxtails and gumbo, which immediately set a bad tone. My guest and I ordered catfish nuggets with sides of mac and cheese, black eyed peas, yams, dirty rice, and collard greens. Despite the restaurant not being crowded, it took roughly 35 to 45 minutes for the food to come out. When the food finally arrived, I had to ask for utensils, which should never be an afterthought. We then realized the yams were missing from the order. After waiting even longer, the server eventually came back and told us the yams were not ready at all, which raised the question of why that wasn't communicated from the beginning. We also ordered cornbread and were told it was in the oven, but it never came out. As far as the food itself, it was just okay overall. The catfish nuggets were good and the dirty rice was solid, though it needed to be much hotter. The mac and cheese was average, the black eyed peas were not good, and the collard greens were probably the most consistent side on the plate. When the bill arrived, we were still charged for the yams and cornbread that we never received. I had to point it out myself before it was corrected, which added to the frustration. To make matters worse, while I was paying the bill, the table next to us received a large order of yams. I mentioned that we were told they were unavailable, and the response was asking if I wanted some to go, which only highlighted the lack of communication and organization. Overall, this experience fell short across the board, and I do not see myself returning. The operational side of the business clearly needs improvement, especially when it comes to flow, communication, and transparency with customers about what is and is not available. Those gaps should never happen, and unfortunately they overshadowed the food and the entire experience.

I had a difficult time finding the restaurant because they lack signage. Once you enter the restaurant though very welcoming environment. The restaurant is clean and decorated very cute. The waitstaff are extremely polite and attentive greeting each customer and taking the time to talk to patrons. Now for the food...delicious! Everything was hot and fresh and it was not a long wait. The greens cooked well not overly salty and definitely not bland. The yams...omg I needed a double order. Not too sweet and the perfect texture so they were not mushy and held shape. That sweet heat sauce is all you need for everything, I used it for my fish, shrimp and it came on the wings. The portion sizes are good as well. Overall great experience the only thing I wish they had was moist towelettes but otherwise I definitely recommend you try this place if you are in the mood for some soul food!

Walked in into very nice air-conditioning cute decor. I love the flowers and greenery that was hanging from the ceiling. We were then offered a table or a booth. We chose a booth. We got the first one. It was very clean. We got ordered sweet tea, which was amazing. Highly recommend. And then after that greeted by another waitress asking if we were ready to order so I loved how quick they were the food however it took quite a long time but that's how you know it's freshly made so I wasn't complaining. We ordered catfish shrimp, chicken, wings, and fried ribs! Boy those hot fried ribs were delicious!! Order also order some great sides. I love the mac & cheese and the greens were both delicious so were the yams. They all hit the spot. I will be back again for more of each. Overall, this lunch was great and I have no complaints. It was was top-tier.

Great soul food homemade style. I recommend the cornbread and yams. The staff is very friendly like your favorite distant cousin. It will be on my list of places to eat every visit to Las Vegas.

Highly recommend! Very hospitable and food is great, everything was fried well and nothing was dry. Mac and cheese and greens were also pretty good. A bit pricey but I believe they don't take tips at all, will come back again

    Burnt grease taste

I was really disappointed with my experience here. My husband and I spent about $60 on two plates alone (no drinks or desserts), and unfortunately neither meal was enjoyable. I ordered the fried ribs, and they tasted like they were cooked in old, dirty grease. The ribs themselves tasted old and reheated rather than fresh. The batter also had white specks throughout it, almost like cornmeal was used, which was not the texture or coating I expected. My husband ordered flavored fried chicken wings, and sadly they had the exact same issue. The overpowering taste of old burnt grease made it impossible to even tell whether the meat was properly seasoned or not. Both meals had the same unpleasant aftertaste that lingered in our mouths long after eating. I originally came because I saw a content creator feature the ribs and they looked fresh and delicious, but our experience was the complete opposite. We ended up throwing most of the food away, which was frustrating considering what we paid. For the price and hype, I expected much fresher food and better quality. It was almost a half hour drive from home & we got the food to go.

Shrimp and easy to remove poop vein

Baaaby I'm so sad to have to leave this review because our previous visits at the old location were always great. We even catered her for my grandmas 80th birthday (granted that was 2 years ago) but the difference 2 years made... wasn't good What WAS good was that the atmosphere was really nice with bright colors and old school music playing (the music was just like the previous location) and everyone was extremely friendly and personable. The servers were doing everything they could as fast as they could while still maintaining a great attitude and being very understanding. The stars were for them alone. Let's get to the wait time. Now I understand it was Juneteenth so I expected a longer wait time. But while waiting I hear them tell other customers they were out of yams and that was the reason for the long wait. I had just ordered 6 meals, 4 of which had yams so I expected to be told they were out and to choose something else. That never happened so I go to the car to wait. They then come out and say they are out of mac and cheese, a side that all 6 plates had. So I scramble to make substitutions for each one and she writes down what we want in her notes on her phone. She says 5 plates but I remind her that it is 6 and she confirms. At this point we have waited at least an hour. We're being patient because we just know it's going to be worth the wait based on our prior experiences. About 25-30 mins later they come out with the bags. Now this is where I messed up by not checking, but we take the food and go home (about 10-15 mins away). I get there ready to hand out everyone's plates and notice one is missing and it's my son's plate so I have to get it. I call to let them know it was missing but I didn't want to wait another hr for one meal they said ok no problem. On the way back to get the other plate I get a call from my family at home that the shrimp wasn't cleaned and it had the big poop vein in the back. I brought this to their attention as well when I got there and they said shrimp have veins and that's just how they come. But the vein on the bottom where the shrimp curls in is to be expected not the giant one on top that can easily be removed. They have a strict no refund policy and my family did not want anything else because the flavor wasn't even worth remaking. We ordered catfish, wings, and shrimp. The shrimp was chewy and overcooked. We got random sides that they just decided to give. The mac and cheese had no flavor and tasted like just noodles. The yams were undercooked. The catfish was nothing without sauce. It was just overall a very disappointing experience and we have all decided this would be our last time coming and it makes us really sad.

The fact that they rep the Niners was also a nice bonus! We came in, grabbed a menu and sat. Kenny promptly came over and wanted to take our order. There's a lot of choices we needed a minute. We ended up doing the combo. I did the fried catfish, mac, and the BEP had good reviews so I did that. Woman did the grilled catfish, greens and yams. The menu said fried food takes 20+ minutes, when I asked Kenny he said it'd be 6-7. I'm assuming that estimate is for busier times. They had a steady stream while we were there around 1. I enjoy the places with history that have the pics on the wall w the Celebs that have come through. I didn't know them all but Kenny and his family are obviously well loved, and after tasting the food I get it! The fish was crispy and flavorful! The mac was cheesy and delicious, and the peas had a nice smooth flavor. I think my favourite part of all was that they have and give togo cups of Crystal! My favourite and all I can tolerate heat wise. The pancake cornbread was also a fun treat I enjoyed for dessert. Woman's food was good but I liked mine better. The fish was cooked w bell peppers, which I don't really eat anymore. It had onions too, reminded me of a fajita. I don't eat yams butt tried her greens, they were ok. She said that to her they tasted canned. Idk but they weren't my favourite. My plate ftw. I'd absolutely go back, I'm sure it's a vibe when there's a game on. If it were, I'd be willing to order again. The baked beans were a little too spicy for my preference and the koolaid barely had any sugar. I was not a fan of the greens, yams, loaded or mashed potatoes. The greens had an interesting flavor that none of us cared for, the yams still had skin pieces and outside of sugar didn't hold any flavor, and the mashed potatoes were bland.
