I recently visited Boss Tapas Burger and Brew and left impressed: live music energized us all, the ambiance was pleasantly inviting, and their service was good and super attentive. The fried cheese with the special sauce was a tasty start and must have again when I revisit!! . In addition, I went ahead and tried one of their favorites: a burger topped with a fried egg neatly stacked with lettuce/tomato/bacon! To top this off must try their oreo brownie bread pudding topped with a scoop of vanilla. It not only looked impressive as it was explosive in great flavor--highly recommended.
Walked in on a Tuesday afternoon so they were not crowded at all. We did not have a reservation and we're able to be seated immediately. The waitress was great. She immediately sat us down took our orders and the food came out about 10 minutes later. They had drink specials, but I did not try any alcohol alcoholic drinks During this visit. It's in a very nice area with plenty of free parking. They have a lot of different decor in the restaurant which I thought was pretty cool and the bathrooms were decorated super cool however I did not have my phone with me when I went to the restroom so I was not able to take pictures. But if you visit, please take a look at the bathroom and the scenery, which is pretty cool .
Pros: so glad I finally checked out this spot! I had the Hialeah sandwich with cod croquetas and OMG, it was delicious! To keep in healthy I got the side salad, and it was better than I expected with a delicious cilantro aioli. Hubby had the burger and loved it, his fries were also 10/10. There is plenty of free parking and the music was good! Cons: it was a little hot, not sure if the AC was down because it was one of the few cold days in Miami.
We recently stopped in for dinner and the place was empty. Now normally that tells me, i might have something to worry about but in this case it just meant we had the place to ourselves! We sat at a big table in the back (7of us) and our waitress took our drink orders. Now lucky for me, i had my wife who speaks Spanish because i don't think our waitress spoke any English. The place itself is small, but it looks like a fantastic venue for a sporting event and i think they have live music later in the evening. We started with drinks, i got the Guava beer and it was delicious. For Apps, we got the fried gator bites, papi San pork and the bacon cheeseburger dirty fries. The gator bites were fried to perfection. Hot, crispy, meaty and not chewy. They were covered in a basil aioli that added lots of flavor. The papi San pork was tender and lathered in their "papi san " sauce which is just a sweet chili. Flavor was great and the meat melted in your mouth. The dirty fries were my sons pick. He loves bacon cheeseburgers and these were awesome! Huge tray of crispy fries covered in bits of burger, bacon and a cheese sauce. These were my favorite app! Then food wise, we had to go with burgers! (Even though there is a ton on the menu). I ended up with the Benny Burger - which had Munster cheese, herb cream cheese and guava. Flavors were surprisingly harmonious. So good! The all star seemed to be the smash burger. My wife and son got them and there wasn't a crumb left. THREE super thin Patties with plenty of cheese seasoned perfectly. What's not to like? Desserts were ok, but I'm not a sweets guy. My kids polished those off pretty quickly. We got the churros and the ice cream sandwich. For me, the churros needed a little more cinnamon sugar. All in all, we will definitely be back to try some more of this menu!
We ordered the Hawaiian tostochones, El Benny burger (and I added fried cheese) and El Tumbe burger (this one is huge!). The tostones didn't taste like the pulled pork was marinated for 24 hours. It was almost tasteless. I would have liked more flavor. The burgers were above average but were not extremely WOW. My husband ordered medium term and his patties were medium well. Also the burger could have used additional sauce for a most moisture feeling. I had the Guava Love cocktail and it felt very water down (it was during happy hour). For a Friday night the place was pretty empty, so our service was great.
Got here early. A little slow at first. But worth it. The food was delicious. Nice ambience. The servers were super nice. I must tell you our burgers were delicious. The loaded fries were crispy and great. Loved them. The bread pudding was ahh ok. But the bossnuelos were amazing. Will come again to brunch to try out! Loved it.
I've been really wanting to come here and decided to give it a try yesterday with my sister. Let me just say I am so glad I did! Great experience from beginning to end. Our waiter was an older lady and she was so welcoming, sweet and very attentive. My sister had a passion fruit mojito and I wasn't planning on drinking til I tried hers! Delicious! I got the pineapple mojito and it was so refreshing and not overly sweet at all! Really good balance. As an appetizer we had the bang bang shrimp and they were so freshly made! With a green sauce drizzle! Perfection! We do the beef nachos which were not only huge but soooo good! Seems like they make their own tortilla chips which made the experience so much better! The chips were soooo yummy, crunchy and flaky! The cheese sauce and all toppings went so well! We also shared the pancho villa burger that comes with bacon, guacamole and a sunny side egg! Omg! Sooo soo yummy! The fries were fried to perfection. And to end with a sweet touch we had their churros! MIND BLOWN! Perfect amount of cinnamon and sugar with a side of dulce de leche! So damn good! Highly highly recommend this spot! The place is impeccable inside and love the music playing in the background. Makes you want to stay for a while. Lol Great experience and will definitely come again!
Amazing local burger / beer spot. You get the "gourmet" burger without the gourmet price, they seriously have the most creative burgers in the area. If you're a fan of craft beer, their selection is also huge. I think the Tumbe burger is probably the best deal with a whole pound of beef and loads of toppings. It has everything a perfect burger needs - sweet, savory, salty, and saucy. Might be the messiest burger you'll have ever eaten though. Service is decent, but at a place like this I'm mainly focusing on the food. As long as my water is always refilled I'm happy! Which was the case. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

Nice new pick for the weekend Come here for a saucy brunch!! We wanted burgers and we got the Big BOSS!! Let me say now that we are through it : The meat patty was very flavorful! (But er ordered medium and it was well done) still very good and meaty... it had pulled pork, bacon, deep fried chicken, onions and mushrooms and lettuce and tomato! We had to deconstruct it: no way were we going to be able to fit all that into one mouthful. The presentation was awesome- but... the chicken was very dry (once we got to it) and so was the bacon (so mind the fryer) Previously we got some beer and I got the vodka and orange and cranberry juice (forget the name already so you know it was great lol) The service was super cordial and the bartender remembered I'm a whimp and made my #2 softer and juicier so I'm a happy bruncher here We also got the Papi pork chunks with the sweet sauce on the side. They were meaty but needed some extra salt (for me) and a bit less time on the fryer as well- yummy with drinks though. Let's make this joint a favorite! Tiny spot in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Somewhat hard to find. Very dark inside with light rock playing. No hard alcohol, just beer and wine. They do offer unlimited mimosas for $15. Very creative burgers and a long list of beers. Seating isn't comfortable and there is not a lot of it. There are a couple of tvs and quite a bit of art on the walls. Very slow service. Waited 15 minutes before anyone showed up to our table. Then another 10 before our drinks showed up. A rare burger took about 30 minutes and we were the only ones in there. It did come out rare. The TNT burger was delicious, but so greasy! They left what I assume is the paper from the cheese inside the burger. I won't be back. read more

This past Sunday, we moved to the area. My mother peeked at me over the interminable wall of boxes and said, "I'm going to need a burger in my mouth. Immediately." So I checked Yelp for local options, hoping to find a promising new favorite, and I definitely did. We had to run a dog-related errand, so I called ahead to make sure their outdoor seating was dog-friendly, and got an enthusiastic yes. Though seating outdoors is limited because of the restaurant's location--completely understandable--it was so nice to sit outside and enjoy the sunny weather. Our waitress was incredibly sweet and helpful, and everyone we interacted with absolutely spoiled the dog. The menu caught my attention immediately--I've lived here for over twenty years and never eaten alligator. (I still haven't, but I'm going to try when my mother isn't looking at me like I've grown another, amphibious head.) We were fortunate enough to land here in time for their brunch, and neither of us could say no to a burger slathered in glossy orange-yoked eggs and buttery hollandaise sauce. I'm also a giant nerd for ham croquettes, and theirs are so good! We weren't even halfway through the meal before I was texted friends making brunch plans to drag them here. I found this restaurant while searching the web for local places to eat. After reading the menu online we decided to check it out. When we arrived we were greeted and seated fast which is expected considering the place was basically empty. The two servers that attended us seemed confused as to why they were there. One seemed scared to approach the table and the other was actually texting while taking our order. The atmosphere was nice and the decor is something you expect in wynwood (very hip ) Unfortunately that's all that was nice.... The food took a little long since as I mentioned the place was empty(2 tables including us) We ordered the popcorn alligator and the dirty fries Buffalo chicken and blue cheese.The alligator was over battered and had more of a chicken flavor than alligator which comes with a "fresh" basil aoli that was thick and pasty and should definitely be served on the side. The fries were crispy and the Buffalo sauce was ok the blue cheese was fresh but the chicken tasted like Tyson grilled and ready. In addition to that we order the fried pickles and El Tombe burger. To no surprise they were also disappointing, the fried pickles were very thick and are dipped in the same batter as the popcorn alligator. Which had little to no flavor,I had two pickles and left it at that. As for the burger it was actually cooked correct we asked for med well and that's what we got, although as a whole the burger was not good. Super dry and dirty grill flavored as if they don't scrape the grill between orders. The bacon and onions were most definitely not fresh and on their last thread. FYI it is extremely rude of servers to stare at customers during the entire meal with a face of disgust as if they knew they were serving us trash. read more
I'm always looking for great burger places, and this one made it on my list. I visited with a group of five other adults and one child, at around 8:30pm on a Friday. As has already been said, this place is located in a shopping plaza right off the highway, which makes it really easy to get to, but also feels kind of like an odd place for it to be. Another plus, lots of parking. The restaurant itself isn't very big. It's got the wood/metal/dark look that's pretty common in a lot of trendy burger spots these days. There were a number of people there when we got there, but also plenty of empty tables. There was also a "for hire" sign on the door for additional serving staff...and it was pretty obvious that they need help. When we walked in, there was a party of four in front of us. We weren't attended to for about 10-15 minutes, which is a pretty long time to wait for acknowledgement. That's not to say the servers were bad at their jobs. They just had too much to do. In fact, once we had a waitress...she was great--really friendly and honest with us about wait times (the wait for food was looooooooooooong). Before I get into the food--the chairs are not hip/butt/thigh friendly. I honestly don't understand why restaurants buy those chairs that curve in at the seat, especially restaurants that serve a large number of Hispanics. Our bodies do not comfortably fit. We asked to be moved to a booth. The booth was awesome. We were all so hungry, we didn't bother to order appetizers and placed our burger orders in right away. I ordered the TNT burger because I love spicy foods, and I ordered it with a side of sweet potato fries. SO FOOD. Portions were great. Definitely filling, and I actually even left some of my fries on the plate. The fries were on the bigger side (steak-cut), not the thin shoestring type. I believe everyone's burgers were cooked to their desired temperatures too. I was kind of disappointed in that my burger wasn't spicy at all, despite the "ghost pepper cheese" and "spicy mayo." Despite this, it was still good. I also tasted my aunt's "El Croqueton" burger and wasn't overly impressed. I found it difficult to separate all of the different things going on, and I've seen iterations of this burger done better in other restaurants. My aunt agreed. My cousin's "Grand Boss Burger" was massive (as seen in the photo) and he was really happy with it. Days later, he was still talking about it. We also shared an ice cream cookie sandwich. The flavor of the day was cookies and cream. It was good, but there was nothing really unique about it. I love a good ice cream cookie sandwich though, and I'd totally order it again. They have a really decent list of beers and ciders too. We had a few during our looooooong wait. This is a good burger place. Hopefully they can find some more help. I don't think I'd make a special trip to visit again, but if I were in the area I'd consider it again. read more
I had such high expectations going to that joint for the first time. We went specifically to see the band Trip Machine play, but also for the food after seeing the Yelp reviews. Well, it was a bit disappointing. I went with the family. We ordered our drinks first, Spicy Bloody Mary for me, and a Modelo on tap for hubby. The Bloody Mary was very watery and the beer was flat. I asked them to add some tomato juice and they did, but really it wasn't the best Bloody Mary out there. We ordered a couple appetizers, the Fried Pickles, Onion Rings, Chicken Wings, and the Macho Nacho. The pickles were good, the nachos were ok, the well seasoned I would say. However the wings were very good, but they forgot the Onion Rings so I told our waiter to just bring it with our entrees. Then we ordered Awesome Burgers for three of us, a Who U Callin Chcken sandwich and a Cheese Burger. Let's just say the Awesome Burger was not that awesome. The caramélisés onions were cold and so was the cheese. The meat was kinda bland. The chicken sandwich came late after we were halfway through our meal. Their burgers were not the best we've eatenThe onion rings were really good however and so were their French fries. We also ordered dessert, the Bossñuelos and the Cookies and Milk. They were not out of this world but they were good. Overall, the food was meh... The friendly staff made up for the food though. They were very accommodating and very attentive. If you're someone like me that has an affinity for some Miami-style sweetness in your savory foods, then Boss Burger & Brew is the place for you. They have a diverse menu, but my favorites are anything they have with guava in it. This is my top choice for when I'm craving burgers in the area. My go-to is always the El Benny burger, and I'm very happy to see that there is a generous amount of herb cream cheese slathered on that top bun. My tummy is happy. They have other burgers with croquetas, fried egg, bacon, pepperoni and mozzarella, and they even have a Beyond vegetarian burger option. There's bound to be something for everybody here! There hasn't been one thing here that I've tried that I haven't liked. While their lunch/dinner menu is already great, do yourself a huge favor and go for their brunch menu. I had a When Harry Meets Sally moment when I tried the paradise sliders: pulled pork, guava, and condensed milk. I highly recommend it. I actually enjoyed my visit here. I thought the food was good. Ambiance was pleasant. The menu is creative. They have a ton of unique burgers to choose from, and they let you customize your order to your liking. The Papi San Pork was delicious. The best part of the meal. A generous portion of tender pork chunks marinated in a delicious sweet Asian sauce. This dish had a ton of flavor. Reasonably priced as well. For the burger I ordered the El Croquetan. Sounded amazing. 1/2 lb. beef patty, home made ham croquetas, fried sweet plantains, muenster cheese, and spicy mayo. This was $16. The burger itself fell flat. The burger tasted like a Bubba burger from Publix. Not a fan of the quality or flavor of the meat. It's definitely frozen. I never understand why places even bother asking how you want your burger cooked, if they're just going to overcook it anyway. Ordered it medium rare, received it well done. For the prices they're charging for a burger joint in a shopping plaza, it was very disappointing. The croquetas, cheese, and spicy mayo had nice flavor though. I added a fried egg, and just like the burger, it was extremely overcooked. A fried egg on a burger has to have a runny yolk. The beer menu was impressive. Ton of different options on draft, bottled, and canned. Service was good. Response to Owner comment below: Sweet Betty, if you don't own a freezer where are you keeping the ice cream? Stumbled upon this place when I was in Miramar looking for a place to eat. Did not realize it was on Miami Gardens drive near Hialeah but went there anyway. Located in a mostly Latino shopping plaza with a Sedano's it is a hidden gem. We showed up at 11:30 for lunch and it was an excellent lunch special for $8.99. A regular burger with fries and a drink. I ordered my burger medium and it came out perfectly cooked. Fries were hot and fresh and the service was outstanding. The decor was eclectic and seemed out of place for this neighborhood but boy was the food and environment good. I would definitely come back here and highly recommend it. This little hidden gem located in Miami Gardens right next to the I-75 is one of my favorite spots to have a bite at. Everything on their menu is a great choice. I regularly come here with my husband, his brother and his mom after a work day. Our waitress tends to always be Ashley so she already knows us and I love it! I've tried so many options here in the past year that I can tell you honestly how good it is. If you come in do try onn Sunday BRunch the Maple Glazed BBQ gator bites. Amazing!!!! We went to our cousin's new home that is not too far from this location. We decided to try to stay local and thankfully Yelp didn't fail us. This is another order at the counter "bar" and they bring it to you kind of place. I don't mind these places. The decor is very rock n roll ish and I appreciated that 2 of the 4 tvs had kids movies on them. I am the most difficult to feed as I eat relatively veganish. I asked If there was a veggie burger available. The cashier told me that they had a mushroom burger. YAY! My favorite. No worries about fillers and eggs and cheese! She did ask if I was vegetarian or vegan. I said veganish. She proceeded to tell me that it was served on a brioche bun but they had wraps. Loved that she knew the menu. My wrap was delicious. I had fries and stole most of my husband's onion rings. My daughter had popcorn shrimp. They really were not popcorn sized. They were big shrimp and a very generous portion for a kid's meal. My husband had a bacon burger. It was stacked with bacon. Our cousin had the brunch sliders...burger Benedict. He said the eggs were cooked perfectly. My daughter wanted dessert. We went back up to the bar and asked about desserts. They didn't have it on the menu, but I asked for 1 kid's scoop and they treated my daughter. She loved the ice cream and it looked delicious. Cool place to have lunch if you are in the area to have lunch. The food was good but the service was even better. There is no real table service, you place your order at the bar and its brought to your table. For us it was The girl taking our order. She knew the menu and about the things on the menu were prepared. She was able assist my wife ordering who is a vegan. As for what we ate. I started with the bbq alligator, it was good. Then I had a bacon cheeseburger, they sure did not skimp on the bacon, now add some onion rings, it was dam good. My cousin had the Benedict sliders, he said it was more like really good burger with an egg on top. My wife had a veggy wrap. It must of been good, she didn't even save me a bite. read more

Decided to visit Boss Burger after checking out their amazing Instagram photos...Much to my dismay, I was disappointed. I went in with high expectations because of their strong social media presence and delicious sounding menu. It was an allover mediocre food experience but the service was good and our waiter was knowledgable about the menu. Location It's kind of in a random place off of i75 in a shopping plaza. It's not easy to spot from the road because it's in the middle of a plaza. Food & Beverage They have a decent beer selection and the burger menu is so enticing. The brunch menu looks pretty great but sadly, we went during dinner time. We started with the Gator Bites and I thought the breading was all wrong for them. They came rested on a bed of lettuce and tomatoes which made the bottom of them kind of soggy. I ordered the El Benny burger. It's filled with guava and cheese, a Miami staple! The description of the burger made it sound really cheesy and delicious. When I bit into it, I was surprised to find that it was missing that cheesy component so the burger tasted more sweet than salty-sweet. It's not that the food was bad but it wasn't great. I guess I expected more from a place that specializes in the burgers. In the end, the bill was $49.14 which felt kind of annoying after not being satisfied with our food. read more

Was searching on Yelp for a place to eat and stumbled upon this place. Glad we decided to try it out! I had the Benny burger. I love the combination of sweet and savory, but even I was a bit unsure of the guava with red meat. It was delicious though! The patty is perfectly cooked and juicy, every component of the burger worked well together and the sweet potato fries were crispy. My boyfriend and I love a good burger and stumbled upon this place. So glad we decided to come here because it did not disappoint! My burger was exactly what I was looking for between the saltiness of the cream and the sweetness of the guava it definitely hit the spot. My boyfriend has a TNT burger and absolutely loved it! I live nearby and found this little gem, the food options are good, servers are really nice and attentive. I would probably suggest to laminate the menus, but that's a personal preference for cleanliness. Otherwise, great ambiance, they have TVs for games and good shows, good music and best of all open late ! I've had the boss burger and the platter of fries - both deeeelicioussss ! This is a casual cool place to hang out and eat. They have tvs so u can watch a game here. Our server was friendly and attentive and food did not take long to come out. They offer brunch as well. I have tried the stuffed French toast with cookie dough. It was delicious. Also I had the cheese burger and added guava. It was cooked to my liking and tasted good as well. Prices are decent. A little more than your usually spots. Burgers come with hand cut fries. For dessert I tried their bread pudding. The flavor of the bread pudding changes. That night I had an oreo bread pudding. Wow! I'm impressed with Boss Burger & Brew! This is located in Hialeah/Miami Lakes, and it definitely feels like a place you would find in Wynwood. There's some really cool art, and designs up on the walls inside. Everything is brand new, clean in here and there's a good number of tables for seating along with a bar at the end of the room. Bar has solid craft beer selection drafts, and bottles available too. One thing I did notice about this place is they're open really late Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights! Until 3 AM late! It's nice to know there's another spot in the area to grab a good cold beer late... especially for the crowd that is tired of Flanigans or Ale house... it's definitely a good change up. And yes there are TVs inside too if you're trying to catch the game. The service here is incredible, friendly, and welcoming! Not sure what to order? Or need a refill? They're on it! The team here does an exceptional job taking care of their customers. As for the food... delicious, goodness! I tried the Bison burger medium rare which was recommended to me, and it was perfect! Served hot & fresh! Also got to try the Parmesan fries which was different, but had a really unique special taste. I'll definitely have to swing by again to try some of the other menu items. Gator bites, and potato skins look like they're the business! I will be back to try those out for sure! Came in on Memorial Day to grab some food before our movie. You walk in and need to walk to the rear bar to order your food. They have a great selection of beers including a new favorite of mine Angelo Poretti. You take your table number and then go sit. I'm not sure what the problem was but I think they were incredibly short staffed. One bartender/register worker and one person making the food. There were about ten orders ahead of ours including some uber eats orders. Unfortunately it took them almost an hour to bring me my burger. That said my burger was pretty good. Your burger or sandwich comes with what seems to be a pound of fries so no need to order extra sides! My fiancé ordered the Brisket Sandwich and OMG it was amazing! Tender soft brisket with a spicy mayo on top it was absolutely delicious. It's unfortunate that they seemed to have a management or staff problem today because the food was pretty good.
