2nd time here (I am not a local) and this is one of my favorite restaurants without a doubt and I travel all over the country. I had the Bouillabaise and it was really good. My business partner had the ribeye and it was out of this world as he let me have some of his. We sat at the bar so we were able to make idle chit chat with alot of the folks working the kitchen. Such wonderful staff/service. This is one of those places where you are going to spend some cash but leave thinking to yourself that it was worth every penny. We were in town for a weekend trip and went to this fantastic place for dinner. From the Prosecco we got at the maitre'd to the dessert, everything was top notch. The ambiance was great for couples, cozy and softly lit. Our server Claire was excellent, giving us great menu suggestions. We had the charcuterie, the escargot, and the foie gras, and they were all superlative. The salad was one of the best we've had (those persimmons!), and I had a wonderful bouillabaisse. The escargot was really good, cooked perfectly. The sliced toast was over cooked and had a lot of black char on it. I ordered the mussels which were not steamed well and my friend ordered the steak frites. He ordered medium rare and it was definitely on the rare side of still mooing & my other friend had the pasta which was handmade and pretty decent. Overall I was really not impressed at all, I've been to a ton of speakeasies in NYC and London, all of them were better than this place. For a restaurant supposedly touting a classically trained French chef I had much higher expectations. Wine selection was decent so if anything I'd recommend this as a pre-dinner drink spot...definitely skip the entrees. read more

Great experience. Took a minute or two to find the entrance (hint: it's in an alley) but once we got in it was fantastic. You go down a couple of flights of stairs and enter into this upscale, swanky space with secret rooms. Not too cramped and a mix of art deco and french architecture. Drinks were decent and food was great (I had the beef tenderloin curry from the specials menu, wife had the Steak Frites). A little pricey but not crazy. Will definitely go back. read more

I don't want to build it up to much, but I haven't found a restaurant in Vegas, OKC, Denver or...ok, it is divine. The food is scrumptious. The ambiance is just right. Okay, super rookie mistake on my part. This was their 2nd day open, but figure let's try it anyway. Ambience is definitely five star, a converted boiler room in the bottom of a building. Very cool concept. A+ The food. Meh. Ordered the escargot, I've had a lot of snails from all over the world. Never cold. Again, this is their 2nd day. But $14 for cold snails, nope. If you get it, tell them you want it hot. You want to be able to dip the bread in hot garlic oil that it was baked in, not needing to use a knife to smear the snail paste on the toasted bread it came with. The mussels, sitting on a bed of fries. This was good. Downside there was no broth, so you didn't have an opportunity to slop up any of the good stuff. This came with toasted bread. $15 Ah... and the entree... Seafood Bouillabaisse. Again 2nd day. 3 shrimp, 3 mussels, cod size of matchbox, some toasted bread, and broth. Look this is a Provençal seafood stew, so it needs to be hearty, this was more like an appetizer or maybe it was meant to be tapas. Dunno. $40. The theme: toasted bread with each plate, carb loaders rejoice! Look, give it a few months for other patrons to work out the kinks or don't. I want to see them succeed, that is why I posted this, in the hopes that someone reads this and fixes these before it they become another flash in the pan. read more

This was my 2nd tine eating (and drinking here) , I wanted to make sure it was as good as my initial impression before I gave an actual review. To me, this place is incredible ! My mouth waters just thinking about our food last night . I don't do a lot of reviews, it has to be either really amazing or really horrible ! Suffice it to say this review is because I think Boston Abstract is really amazing We shared the Steak Frites for a 2nd time and while this is basically steak and fries , there is so much flavor in every bite, it satisfies the pallet completely ! We also shared the "meatballs" which were not like any meatball I've ever had before . I wish I had made notes about the description but I was too into my food experience.. there was mention of truffles but that's all I can remember .. I will get these again! We shared a charcuterie board (for our table of 4) and this is the 2nd time for me as well and it is a definite must try! I'm not a martini drinker but if you are and if you like (love) blue cheese and olives, get the Blue! Oh my gosh amazing We did the desert (again) and what can I say, we were already to the max on food consumption but we forged ahead and moaned and groaned (as in omg delicious) as we scarfed down every last nibble !! My wife and I came here for dinner with friends ahead of going to see Seinfeld at the PAC which worked out perfectly because its easy walking distance to the PAC from Boston Title and Abstract. First of all, the location and ambience is perfect then we were greeted by a young lady who provided us with a fresh drink. Our server went above and beyond with menu descriptions, some recommendations that were well received, and she exhibited an in-depth knowledge of the menu and bar options. I can see why this place has mixed reviews on other platforms. The whole vibe of this place is very trendy and night clubbish. It's a speakeasy. When in reality it's in a basement. The decor really reminded us of the Foundation Room restaurants in the House of Blues. We spent $400 for mediocre and somewhat over cooked food. We couldn't get a decent martini. I had to order it FOUR times and each time it came out wrong. I ordered a Tito's martini straight up, NO vermouth, COLD, shaken not stirred. With blue cheese stuffed olives. One time it came with vermouth and was warn, TWICE it came dirty (with olive juice) and finally they got it right, but every drink order was wrong every time. And they served it in a wine glass. Who does that? My medium steak was burned, and the lobster was over cooked. Everything had some type of sauce to cover the real taste of the food. Our server Chris was clueless and tried to tell us this is French cooking. Sorry sweetie, but it's NOTHING like the outstanding food in France. The rumor is that the chef here was trained by a Michelin star chef. We've been to Michelin star restaurants and whoever the chef is at this place must have forgotten his training. The food wasn't anywhere near that caliber of food and not worth the high prices. It took about an hour to get our main course after we had our appetizers. It wasn't even crowded or busy. So, there was no excuse except for poor time management. If you do go, choose to sit at the bar, it looked more interesting than sitting at a table with terrible service and an Ill-informed server who has never been out of the United States or even Tulsa. read more

Let me start by saying this review is a 3 star review ONLY because of the main entree. We arrived and were greeted with champagne since we had reservations. The charcuterie board and drinks were amazing, along with the service. We decided to go with the high roller menu since it was our anniversary. We both ordered the Surf and Turf at $88 a plate. My wife doesn't like her filets bloody at all so she always orders hers medium well because 9/10 cooks under cook steaks. I ordered mine medium rare. The wait was not long for our food, however when we cut into my wife's steak it was still bloody and cooked the same as my medium rare. I ate my meal slowing, asking her bite by bite if it was ok After a couple bites of my lobster tail I realized that it was off. It had NO meatiness to it and was very fishy and soft. The "crab" on top of the filet was more like a small garnish of mixture that barely resembled crab meat. I'm sorry but this would've been an absolute 5 star review but the food, for what we ended paying, was not what we expected. Kudos to staff though. read more

Listen, I'm sure that most nights this place is great, but last night, wow. We are currently enjoying a heat wave and we had the delight of fanning ourselves with the menu the entire evening because there appeared to be no working air conditioning. A heads up would have been nice as we would have not paid for such an expensive meal while miserable and sweating the entire time. It honestly ruined the whole experience for us, and I can't imagine going back. Food was great. Ok. This place has soooo much potential. I'm posting this because I want it to succeed so badly. The ambiance is incredible.. truly a unique experience walking into this place, I got a glass of prosecco from the hostess before I even sat down! The server was great, the forks, plates.. every detail was impeccable. So here's the downside, the food is incredibly expensive - which is fine (if it were good) but it's just.so.MEH. The marlin was meh.. it came with "risotto" which tasted like rice and beans. 40$ The beef cheeks were not flavorful at all and tasted like they were cooked in a crock pot. 40$ The pork bourguignon was dry,(although we loved the tater tots it came with!) 40$ The bouillabaisse tasted like tomato soup which is great if you like it.. but not for 40$. (I know I'm rounding on my prices but you get my drift) We will not be back unless we want to impress an out of towner with a hip environment. Hopefully the menu gets a total reconstruction and then we'll consider returning. read more

Shhhhhh. Don't tell anyone but there is a fabulous new speakeasy-style restaurant downtown. Tucked in the basement and serving delicious French-inspired cuisine, this place is a labor of love and this vibe emanates from the setting, food, and staff. I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted with a complimentary glass of Prosecco upon entry. The restaurant has a variety of seating options from posh to casual, and a cozy bar with kitchen views to observe the culinary action. My date and I ordered two of their craft cocktails: Bleu, a delicious dirty martini variation with a scrumptious blue cheese olive; and Noir, a gin-based cocktail worth tasting. The foie gras appetizer and seafood salad were delightful. For the entree, I sampled the duck and I was very pleased--Cooked to perfection, tender on the inside, crisp on the outside, with a delectable seasoning I can't even describe. I regret not trying the escargot, supposed to be the best in town, but definitely will next time. Boston Title made quite a first impression and I look forward my next visit. read more

Sooo excited about this new place, we have been wanting to try it for weeks. Finally got a chance to stop by for appetizers and a drink before our dinner plans and can't wait to try it for the whole meal. Was tricky to find it first, it is down an alley with no real signage. Guess that adds to the speakeasy atmosphere. The staircase going down is neat to see into a really nicely decorated basement. We sat at the bar and was able to look into the kitchen which was fun to see all the food being plated. Bartender was super nice and very helpful. Menu was very small but everything looked appetizing. We ordered the escargot and a cheese platter. Escargot was not the best I've ever had, but still very good. The cheese plate tops the best we've had in all of Tulsa. The jams and meat selection were divine in the cheeses were very good well worth the money. Being able to see everything that was plated was also very tantalizing. This looks like it will be a very fun place to go on date nights in the future. read more

This was the worst experience we've ever had out of the hundreds of restaurants we've been to. I still cannot believe we were treated and talked to the way we were by the owner. To put it concisely, we had a bad experience. Nothing to write a review about, but multiple things went wrong during dinner to the point where we brought it up to our waiter and were told the manager/owner, Greg, would stop by. After 20 minutes and Greg passing our table multiple times, we asked if he planned on stopping by, and then asked again, and then he did. We were relaxed initially and just wanted him to be aware--letting him know of our many positive experiences before this one and that this night disappointed us. We had already paid at this point and didn't want anything for free. Just wanted to give feedback. Unfortunately, he immediately grew defensive, gaslighted us, and told us we were wrong for not complaining earlier (what? we had?). He told us they had computer issues, were understaffed, staff was undertrained, he was busy behind the bar, etc. We got all the excuses in the book. But what absolutely blew us away was the near narcissistic attitude of the owner--he had done everything right and it was the customers and employees in the wrong. There was never an apology and the tone was arrogant and accusatory. Almost immediately my concerns were interrupted and I was told why I was wrong for being upset about it. The cheese plate that took 45 minutes? Computer issue, not in his control. The water that hadn't been refilled for over an hour? Understaffing, we should see how hard he is personally working. The bad food? Our fault for not "complaining earlier so they could have done something about it because he can't taste everything that leaves the kitchen." The slow service? Untrained, new waiter that is not his problem. Every reason something went wrong was either on us, computers, or his staff. We even got a lecture about how difficult it is to be in the restaurant industry with understaffing right now. I absolutely 100% get that, which is why we try to support local establishments. But so many of the issues had nothing to do with understaffing--it's the tone of management. Not once did he apologize or take ownership for anything. Rather, we saw the blame shifted to everyone else and even told we shouldn't be complaining at that point because we already got a free dessert (we didn't want dessert and didn't order dessert. This was a nice touch until it became clear it's the way they pacify customers instead of actually handling an issue and apologizing). We grew even more shocked when he told us he never said something to us just moments after saying it. Food was cold, fries were stale, app took 45 minutes, dinner unexplainably took over 2 hours in total. Not a great experience, but the reason we won't be back and the reason I'm writing this review is the owner. I used to love this place and this last visit wasn't just a disappointment in the food/service department, it showed me the ownership stands for things I don't--talking down to women, blaming employees for things outside their control, and not being willing to take responsibility for mistakes. Truly disappointing and wish I would have trusted my gut with the recent negative reviews. Spend your dollars at the many other restaurants in our wonderful community who value the people of Tulsa, customers and employees included. read more

This is the perfect place. My girl & I were here celebrating our one year anniversary and we couldn't have picked a better restaurant. The interior is beautiful. It's like traveling back in time!
