My experience at this location was awesome, the service was warm and welcoming, the drinks were good and the ambiance is cozy. I'm digging their patio, it's spacious and there's an area where you can play some beer pong and corn-hole. Parking can be challenging during a rush but when it's dead there's plenty of spots for you to park. I came here for my friend's birthday & the staff took good care of us. I decided to order 3 drinks. I got the hidden treasure, Pandan-lada & Wildfire. My favorite one was the hidden treasure, it was sweet, silky, smooth and had a lovely coconut taste to it. It wasn't the strongest but it'll definitely catch up to you after 3 of them. It's also not on the menu hints the name "hidden". The pandan-lada was a little too sweet for my liking but it had that floral taste from the pandan. The wildfire was the strongest out of the 3, but the drink was a bit too harsh for my liking due to the fact that it was very spicy. I love spicy but not so much in my drinks. Overall, it was a great experience. The service is what gave it a 5. The bartender and the manager were the coolest people on earth. They really put time and effort into making these drinks & visually it looks good too. They also serve beers as well, but shockingly I thought it'll be more to pick from. Will I come back? Yes, next time I'll try out their coffees/lattes.

Our bartender L was awesome - she made excellent drinks and was super friendly. Between the cafe drinks and the cocktails, these had to be some of the best drinks I've had. The Pandan Matcha Cloud was sweet and had that perfect matcha flavor, the beetroot cacao latte was almost like a non-sweet but non-bitter hot cocoa. You could tell the mixers and syrups used in the cocktails were really fresh and house made. Very clean and chic aesthetic without being stuffy. I will definitely be back. I'd be frequenting this place if it were closer to where I live.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Botanic Beer Garden, one of my new favorite bars in the city! I couldn't have asked for a better place to host my party with a group of 30+, including a theme and folks dressed up in costumes. I'm really glad this place popped up within the last few months. Drinks are stellar, the bar menu is creative, and you can tell that lots of thought was put into creating each item. My favorites are the Pandan-lada, Blueberry Buzz, and Eternal Bloom. I don't know of any other place that makes a cocktail with pandan, so not only is this unique, it actually tastes really good. The pandan flavor is strong and subsequently, you can barely taste the alcohol in it. Similar story with the Blueberry Buzz: I don't care for gin, but the gin taste in this one is so subtle that you can barely taste it. And the Eternal Bloom is a good take on a tiki-style drink with rum and tropical flavors - can't go wrong here. In a way, these drinks are dangerous as you can barely taste the alcohol, so you will keep coming back for more. While they currently do not serve food, they are in the process of getting permit approval for an onsite food truck. They currently serve $1 tacos on Thursdays though, so do take advantage of this if you happen to be here for Thirsty Thursday. I can attest to the good quality of said tacos. Since they don't yet serve food, you are able to bring in any food of your choice; I am not sure if this will change once the food truck is up and running. They also have a full coffee bar, so if you need a pick-me-up to make it through the rest of the night or just a coffee-laden cocktail, you can get your caffeine fix here. Seating is plentiful, with several booths and tables inside and many picnic tables in their outdoor, fan-cooled patio with TV's. Inside they have a variety of board games you can play, and the patio features outdoor games like Jenga and cornhole too. The bar manager, Santi, is fantastic. On my first visit prior to the party, he gave me a full overview of the bar and his thought process on crafting the menu together. All of the syrups are made from scratch and natural ingredients are used in favor of artificial flavorings. They are also happy to customize and make drinks that aren't on the menu (like a carajillo - I may have had more than one of these across multiple visits). Santi is very pleasant to talk to and was great to work with in planning my event. He even brought in additional bartenders to help manage the crowd the night of the event. One of the bartenders, Elle, was also super cool and vibed with our group. As mentioned, this is a great place to host a gathering or party of any sort. Order at the bar. You can pay on one tab or have everyone pay separately on their own tabs (I know some places have an issue with this). I wholeheartedly recommend this place for happy hour, a night out with friends, or a celebration. We will definitely be back for all of the above, and will be bringing more friends with us too!

Very cute coffee shop with bites to eat as well. Cozy inside with booths, high tops and tables and bar seating which is cool. There is tons of outdoor seating wrapped around the building. I'd it were a warmer day when I patronized 8 would have sat outdoors. I'd def go back. Chill vibe and the crowds did pick up as the day went on.

This place is so cute! I'll definitely be back as it gives, vibey work from home feels. You can grab a delicious glass of wine, a cup of coffee or an empanada all in one spot. When I went, it was in the afternoon, and I don't think they were expecting a rush, so service was slow. However, everyone was very nice and I really enjoyed this place overall.

This awesome hidden gem was an amazing experience !! From their incredibly creative drink menu and friendly staff this place makes you feel at home! Beautifully decorated and spacious patio area and cool vibe inside!! Relaxed atmosphere for great conversations and great vibes!! Menu is slightly condensed but don't sleep on the empanadas!!! Both chicken and beef were delicious! Plantain chips, chicken sandwiches with fries- all was so yummy!! Hot and to order! The drinks is really where is all was at! Creative and simple but amazing!!! A must try!!!

This place is great. They have a good amount of tables and outdoor space (including outdoor games). They also have a great happy hour. The space itself is nice and has a great atmosphere. They have plants hanging from the ceiling as well as a faux plant wall. The bartenders were great. They were attentive and were happy to answer questions and were helpful when recommending drinks. Their Old Fashion was one of the best ones I've had yet. You could really taste the citrus. The Eternal Bloom was also good. It was refreshing and to me had a coconut taste to it. But my favorite was the Wildfire. Even though it had habanero it wasn't too spicy and had great flavors. We didn't see the food truck there the day we went. They currently don't have permits to serve beer on tab until sometime in August, but they did offer plenty of canned/bottled beer (they also sell buckets of beer). We'd definitely recommend this place and will be coming back!

I came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and I was really impressed with this place. It is located right off Houston Ave, close to Washington Ave. Prior to coming, I was slightly dreading coming into the Downtown/Heights area because parking is always atrocious in the area. I was pleasantly surprised when I rolled up and there was an almost empty lot with spots available. That's a big plus in this area. I drove around the block just to check out the area and I saw there is plenty of street parking available if their lot is full. The bar itself isn't large, but they have a nice sized patio or "garden" as they like to call it. They also have a space with turf for a little beer pong and corn hole action. Customer service was outstanding from the minute we walked in until we left. My friend reserved tables and the staff was so helpful. Though it's called a beer garden, I would classify this place as more of a cocktail lounge. They got the beers, but not a huge selection and if I remember correctly, they weren't on tap at the time we went. Their selection consists mostly of popular big brand beers with a few local brewery offerings. They have wine too which you can buy by the glass or bottle. It looked like a decent selection to me. Most of my crew partook in their impressive cocktail offerings. They have a fully stocked bar so you can get your favorites here, but they had quite a few of their own concoctions that really hit the spot. I told the bartender what I like and he suggested I go with the Blueberry Buzz. It was a gin drink with blueberry jam, lemon and honey. It had a silky mouth feel and was very refreshing on that hot summer day. It seemed to be a crowd favorite too. I then had to see if they did favorite drink, an old fashioned, right. That they did. As of the time we went, food was not yet on menu, but they were working on getting the proper permits to get food to their customers. Overall, this was a very cool spot that I can see myself coming back to. I definitely want to check out their coffee options as well. I will be back.

Great atmosphere and location. We met up with friends and were able to enjoy the outdoor patio; nice patio swings, outdoor space for the kids, and outdoor tvs to watch the Texans game. Food and drinks were great. We ordered the midnight zing (my favorite) and the wildfire (spicy). The food was delicious: plantain chips and chimichurri, empanadas, and Latino chicken sandwich The place was very relaxed and inviting, and we plan on going back

This place is rocking! Great place to pop in for coffee or a drink with my dog! Tonight I got a free drink from Chewy for bringing my dog. And she enjoyed a pup cup. I enjoyed the blueberry cocktail made by the charming bartender, Dulce. It's a solid spot for morning coffee as well. Outdoor heaters take off the chill and fans for the hot days.

Ultra hip chill vibe and a ton of parking. Got here early meeting someone and wanted to do bit of work before he showed up. The music has a chill funky kind of mellow modern jazz vibe; all acoustical no words. Super cute place and they have games you can play as well as 2 types of outdoor seating. Would also be a good place for a date night because you can hear yourself think and talk. The music is loud enough to groove by but not so loud it drones everything out. This place is its own vibe! Will have food on-site soon. Only drawback 2 private bathrooms so could be a long line when it's packed. The whole place is reserved inside tonight so maybe call ahead before you come just to make sure seating is available. Ton of seating outside and none of that is reserved but it looks like it's going to rain today and super hot so not the best bet. Now here's the best part... the drinks.. saved the best for last. The drink menu has some new fusion style fancy drinks that I've not had anywhere else and even the happy hour menu includes some interesting drinks. Staff are super nice and chill; are letting me and my friend order in food since it's closed tonight. Highly recommend checking this place out - it's going to become the "go-to" place soon for a lot of folks. I can see that coming ;)

Cute spot. Nice outdoor seating with tvs. The coffee was great, I ordered a latte. Service was friendly. Will be going back.

When my friend made the reservation, she received an email encouraging customers to visit the tasting room before or after dinner. We showed up an hour early to visit the tasting room, however the host had no idea what we were talking about. Turns out they weren't doing tastings. Luckily, we didn't have to wait to be seated. We initially had a table that was not near a heat lamp, however an employee came over and let us know that we could switch to a table near the heat lamp which was appreciated because it was chilly. Our server was Laura. She was nice and funny. They had $25 flight specials. I went with the Sayanara Flight which had white wines. I really enjoyed them and they weren't too sweet. My friend had an NA wine which she enjoyed. We ordered the Truffle Fries and Meatballs. Both dishes were tasty. I enjoyed the aioli that came with the fries. They had discounted wines for purchase. Not all bottles were 50% off, however the gentleman that we spoke to went ahead and gave me a 50% discount on both the rosé and pinot grigio that I purchased which was so appreciated! It seems like there are quite a few businesses around town that are closing. I'm sad to see Mutiny go, but I'm glad my friend and I got to dine in on their final night.

"Closing time, you don't have to go home But you can't stay…read morehere." - Semisonic I have lived in the loop for 5 years now, and I'm sad to say that I finally tried Mutiny on their last day. I often pass by it going through a shortcut to I-45 and sometimes going home around the area. It's literally a 5-minute drive. I booked reservations Friday since I saw they opened up the 31st on Resy. It wasn't earlier in the week, but I knew it was the last day, and my friend and I really wanted to try. I'm glad we made reservations because they were at capacity (150 person capacity) and weren't taking any walk ins. We got there early cause Resy suggested checking out the Tasting Room before or after the reservation time. We got there about an hour earlier, and the host said he didn't know anything about that except that the Tasting Room area was used for events. Interesting. We were seated earlier on the patio on this freezing evening. At first, we were at a table that didn't have a heat lamp, but when one freed up, they were so nice to suggest that we move closer to the heat lamp since they saw us shivering. Lol. We were thankful for that. I wore fleece lined jeans and brought gloves and a beanie anyway having been in the below freezing winter in London. Laura was our server and was kind and funny. So was this other guy who checked in every now and then. He made light of their last day situation. The dining area is so beautiful inside. I love the limestone-looking interior and chandeliers. Reminds me of Fredericksburg or something. They had many large groups and a few small groups of friends or couples dining on this last day. Way to go out with a bang. A lot of the wines were selling out or already sold out around 7-8 pm. We tried the truffle fries and Sicilian meatballs with focaccia bread. I like the thick cut of the fries and the black garlic aioli. It reminded me of yuca fries. The Sicilian meatballs were a bit small, peppery and salty. I wish the marinara was a little more tart. The focaccia helped cut through the saltiness. I had 2 glasses of the NA Sauvignon blanc which was light and a little tart. They ran out of the NA red blend. My friend ordered Sayonara, one of their farewell flights which were aptly named for "goodbye". It was a great night on the patio but chilly. My friend purchased a rosé and a Pinot Grigio as part of their Last Sail wines. Actually, the Pinot Grigio wasn't part of the sale, and he was going to take off 20%, but he also made it 50% off. So nice!! I'm glad we got to try them on their last day. Bon voyage, Mutiny.

The bread was very buttery and nicely toasted. The frank itself was very juicy and I loved how the pico and mustard help cut through the fat. The thing that made this hotdog stand out was the cheese sauce. The cheese sauce was delicious and I could probably have just eaten that alone. One thing though, the hotdogs were a bit on the smaller size, you probably would have to order something else or a second hotdog if you were hungry. Would come back again just for this hotdog! We came in as an impromptu visit after an earlier event and figured we'd just stop in for a glass of wine or so. Upon walking in, the place is super cute with dim lighting and was quite crowded on a Thursday night. We didn't immediately find available seating, but after a couple minutes, a table opened up and we sat there. Our primary server was Grayson, who was super knowledgeable about the wine list. Other servers tended to us throughout the night, and all were equally as knowledgeable about the menu offerings. At the time we went, they were featuring various wines from Beaujolais. We ended up trying one of these, the Alexandre Burgaud Brouilly Rouge, which was a full-bodied red. This was a great recommendation, and I will say that we didn't conclude the visit on only one of these bottles... Based on Grayson's food recommendations, we ended up ordering the Mortadella panini and a combination charcuterie board. The Mortadella panini was unique but good - tomato, mortadella, provolone, and mustard all served on a pretzel bun. Probably not my dish of choice alongside wine, however I did really like the charcuterie board. We asked them to surprise us on the cheese and meat, and they really came through. The prosciutto was tasty and the cheese (can't remember which one) had a peppery flavor to it, which paired well with our red wine. The overall clientele vibe seemed like a range of date nights, girls nights, first dates, and solo drinkers. I love the diversity! We ended up making friends with the table next to us and eventually merged tables to make this a fun group date night. Definitely a highlight of the visit. We will definitely be back sooner than later. This is a cute neighborhood bar that I look forward to returning myself and brining out-of-town guests to come experience. They also have a dog-friendly patio - something to keep in mind whenever the day calls for drinking some wine in nice outdoor weather!

It's located right at 19th St. and Shepherd near the light. There's a small angled parking lot that can be tight when people park along the fence. It looks like a cute tiny A-frame home with a few patio tables in the front. The inner area has about 6-7 high tables. It's nice and clean inside. The vibe feels similar to H-Town Brewing Co. but on a smaller scale. You can also sit at the bar. I didn't really like the high tables/chairs. They're not as comfortable. It was hot out, and there are mosquitos, so we sat inside. I ordered the salmon plate for steak night. The drinks here are ok, and since I don't really drink, I was looking for mocktail options. In this era, most places have mocktail options with brand alternatives like Ritual, Seedlip and Lyre's or at the least, something with juice, Topo Chico and simple syrup. The female bartender made me a NA margarita which was great. I liked that she didn't make it too sweet or too tart which happens with mocktails that don't have alternatives and are mostly juice or lemon. On the other hand, when I ordered a second, the guy bartender made it too sweet. I didn't like his version. For the alcoholic versions, they seem to have good cocktails, wine, beer and flights. They also have daily specials. Aside from the steak night, they don't serve food here. It wouldn't be my first choice of bars in this area.
