Basically closed on Fridays. If they can't finish your oil change by Thursday on a car you dropped off *Wednesday morning* you will have no car through the weekend. This has happened multiple times. Nice folks but responsiveness is awful. Poor service at premium prices. Dealership charges the same but treats us way better. read more

They saved me a lot of money on replacing my compressor and didn't try to up charge me for what I didn't need. I think the owner helped me and he was very thorough in telling me what would happen and the cost! Dropped my car off about 4-5pm Wednesday (3/2/22) was told I'd get a call Thursday morning with a diagnosis, I called Friday, nothing, I left a voicemail. Monday comes around I call again 2 times a couple of hours apart, nothing. Tuesday rolls around I'm fed up, my friend finally gets a reply that they couldn't put my car on the lift or on a jack because it's too low, fine but a week was wasted and they still haven't returned my call. I show up Tuesday about 12:30pm to pick up the car, dude at the counter has a attitude every time I've ever been here. Just doesn't care. I make it two blocks down the street hearing a terrible metal scraping noise, pull over and my exhaust is dragging on the ground. I take it back to botta to discover my side skirt is also broken nearly hanging off, they won't take any responsibility for the damage. How do you drop a car off and pick it up broken and they still try to say it wasn't them and that they "only drove it in and out of the shop" well that's plenty of time to scrape and break my side skirt + exhaust, on top of that how do you NOT hear the noise my car was making! It's pretty damn cheap to rebolt my exhaust and get a new plastic piece for the side skirt to re attach. What a childish thing to do for a exotic shop! Oh and I accidentally posted this review then took it down because I wanted to wait for the end of the interaction to see if they'd potentially cover the tow or the side skirt! came back in asking to leave my car in the lot for the tow truck, man at counter says "you wanna take your review down because my answer depends on that" I replied, "I already did was anything in my review in accurate?" He replied "well for a first time customer who was refereed to us" I said "it's not my first time, was my review inaccurate?" To which he yelled at me that the conversation was over, in disbelief I said I would repost the review and he yelled at me to get my fucking car out of their lot! I yelled back that I was and left. They stood at the roll up door staring at me, you break my car and then get mad when you get the review deserve for it! Ha. I tried to be reasonable, I was willing to pay to fix their damages, up until the point of getting attitude for being honest (which is what reviews are there for). I was more then willing to remove my review and not repost had I been treated with ANY form of respect or had they apologized at all. read more

When I first came to botta, I was impressed by how friendly and welcoming everyone was to both me and my son. I brought in my car for something small and they fixed it while I waited. I felt confident in coming back and recommending them to friends. I even felt compelled to write a glowing review. But my experience afterward changed dramatically. I brought back my car for a valve cover replacement and another problem that they had a difficult time solving. Instead of doing a proper diagnostic test, they went with the solution that had worked for other people. They charged me 400 for a part I didn't need and which didn't solve the problem. I had to return several times because of the unsolved problem, and another smaller issue that was a part that was put on in a very rushed, half-done manner. I called for three weeks to get the part I needed, and they didn't return my phone calls. I finally just showed up at the shop where they put on the cover for my ignition but it still wasn't done properly. It was falling off when I took my key out, and the clips that held it in place had been left on the floor of the car several times. While dealing with these issues, they went through two different receptionists- the first one called me "honey" several times, was presumptive about my financial situation, interrupted me when I spoke and wouldn't listen to my concerns. The second and current receptionist asked me several very pointed and personal questions, tried to placate me with coffee and being disingenuously nice until finally, he made me cry with his rudeness. The main problem with the car is still unfixed and unresolved and I was told by the owner that he has already spent more time on my car than he felt he needed to. Finally, they tried to charge me for another diagnostic test- which I agreed to, but I was told on the phone that they "hit my key fob on the ground and that made the key work this time, so no charge." To top it all off, after the final time I went back I looked under the hood and found that a small screw driver had been left near the battery. It was in a place that luckily didn't damage the engine, but could've resulted in causing some serious problems. I can't imagine a worse scenario where everything went from "this place is so great!" to I hope I never deal with these people again." Almost everything about my experience was unfortunate when it came to actually fixing my car. I do not recommend botta. read more

So I waited until my second time getting service here to write my review. First time - really no issue, as this guys know their stuff and wouldn't trust any other mechanics with my car. The only issue I had was the lack of any front desk/admin presence. I don't really know much about about car so sometimes I have very basic questions or I want to ask something but have no clue how to word it. Also, if you're doing anything more to my car than what I came for (oil change) I would like an explanation before hand. So imagine my thrilled when I called to make my appointment. Michelle answered the phone! She was really sweet and took time to answer all my questions (besides oil change, is there any other stuff that will be replaced etc.) I don't know about other people but for me, any business should have at least a front office presence. That's your first hand customer service right there! I get it, y'all are busy fixing cars at the back, but you still need someone to face/greet your clients. This are the people that gives your clients first impressions and I'm so happy that Michelle is part of this business now. I picked up my car today and she was the one who greeted me. And again she patiently answered all my questions and got me all squared away. She told me what my next service would be so I know what to expect. See, how simple that was?? So if the owner happened to read this review, EXCELLENT decision on hiring her!! This guys are probably the best of the best in town. It's nice to find a mechanic that won't rip you off just for that extra buck. I come here and they are very honest and only work on what my car needs, none of that (oh you need to get this and that done too) - You know, pretty much what every car dealership had tried to sell me on. I had an aftermarket springs, MSS Urban Adjustable Ride System, installed at another shop on my BMW X3M. The car was making a terrible noise when going over potholes and speed bumps. Casey and Anthony checked out the install to make sure everything looked tight. After that they took the car for a drive and heard and felt the issue. Casey went through many different settings until he found the perfect adjustment. The car rides wonderfully and and handles much better than stock. I began having trouble shifting my manual transmission Honda Accord last week. By Saturday, it became nearly impossible to drive. Sadly, we'd lost our trusted master-tech Honda mechanic last year (who kept us rolling in our first Honda for 17 years/250k miles). By chance, I reach Casey from Botta Moto Works early Saturday a.m. while searching for neighborhood mechanics. After explaining the issue, he says the shop is typically closed on weekends - that he was in catching up on things, but he'd be happy to have a look if I bring it in that morning. I bring it down, he checks it out - seems knowledgable and thorough. He explains what he thinks may be the trouble, and says he'll get me in Monday morning. Monday morning, I check the car in with lovely, friendly front desk person, Heather. She is attentive to my concerns, assures me they'll contact me once issue is diagnosed - giving estimate prior to repair. Mid-day, Heather calls to relay the first step which is a simple/inexpensive fluid flush - then, secondly, repair to either master or slave cylinder. She has estimates prepared for all possible scenarios, each coming in under my expectations - all repairs using Honda parts. I felt supreme relief, that my car was in excellent care, giving the go-ahead for whichever repair may be needed. Heather calls a bit later with the fantastic news - the flush alone resolved the issue and car is ready to roll! I'm amazed how responsive and accommodating Casey was that morning, the super quick turn-around, the level of expertise, communication, the quality and honesty of work and extremely reasonable service fees. They could have gone on to repair/replace the slave or master cylinder unnecessarily, and I wouldn't have been the wiser.. I am thrilled to find Botta Moto Works, straight outta the gates, when looking to find trusted, new mechanic! The shop looks snappy and clean (seriously dare you to find a shinier floor in any garage) and so conveniently located right here in my neighborhood! (It appears they've recently migrated from NW location - welcome to N. PDX!) On top of it all; shifting gears on my Honda feels super-lubey-glossy-glidesss fun again! I trust Casey and his team like I would trust my big brother working on my car. They could service BMWs in their sleep and cars which you typically only trust a dealer to work on. Switching from the dealer to Botta was the best decision we have ever made, as we were getting overcharged every time we went in before. Great place to take your higher end vehicle - Good work, straightforward honest assessment of issues, good turnaround time, reasonable prices. Why not 5 stars? Their phone communications are little less than prompt - plan on calling them about your vehicle rather than the other way around. This is my mechanic team for life. Casey is the most talented and forthright mechanic and business man I've had the pleasure to deal with. Honesty and integrity. It's that simple. In my case, he spent hours troubleshooting a sensor code only to find that the first two new BMW parts he installed were faulty. Same sensor part, twice bad. He was astute enough to try a third after everything else on the car checked out. It worked. He didn't charge me for the time because it was BMW's fault in supplying parts that were bad. Started off normal morning. Had to take my Girlfriend to work an everything was fine, made it 15 blocks from my house an got stuck on a hill and my clutch in my 2 day old (new to me) 1995 525i goes out. Damn what a bummer. Do some homework. Read some reviews. Which landed me here. All 5's? Can you belive that? Well better belive it! Shop closed at 6 I couldn't make it upon closing. I messaged Botta Moto on instagram an a couple minuets later. PING. There's Casey the Owner messaging me sayin Why don't you just bring it down here an I'll drive you home. Wow talk about service. So a couple days go by. Totally normal for this job wasn't a DIY at all. Called in, "hey can I get my car back?" Ya no problem bud we got everyone working to get it done we had to resurface your flywheel so it took a bit longer then expected but you'll have her back by the end of the day! They weren't kidding. That day I had it back An couldn't be more impressed with the service an quality. Don't take the 2 biggest purchase of your life some where they won't appreciate it. After receiving an estimate on my Toyota from the dealership (I know but it was, or so I thought, under warranty) I took it to Botta with my laundry list of sudden problems Toyota said it had. As it turns out, all it needed was a new battery and an oil change and the list provided by the dealership were checked but unnecessary. Casey is awesome as is Michelle. I figure that anywhere that can services Lamborghinis and Maseratis knows what they are doing and have earned the trust of those with pockets much deeper than mine. 100% recommend. read more
