Unfortunately all the previous reviews are pretty dead on. I really had high hopes for this place wanting to shop local and spend my money in the community. Unfortunately these guys take things just a bit too far. I understand you're a small business and theft can be a problem. That being said you're doing yourself a total injustice by plastering signs all over your door. Now that being said there is no less than four signs on the front door saying no purses, bags or backpacks. Not to mention when I walked in the employee just looked at me never even said hello or anything! I reluctantly made a purchase because I didn't want to stop again on the way home. As I approached the register I noticed some postings of shoplifters that had been caught in the store. Listen I'll admit I thought it was kind of humorous, I don't condone shoplifting and I do think the laws are way to soft as far as prosecuting these scumbags go. I mentioned to the unenthusiastic and personality deficient employee I thought that was kinda funny......He said yeah the owner kind of takes it way personal. I paid my bill and proceeded on my way. The moral of this review is simple. If you're so worried about theft have employees that are engaged. The first step in preventing shoplifting is having a presence. I was the only person in the store for 20 minutes and at no point did anyone even engage me. Even better yet instead of deterring customers from coming in by posting signs everywhere, hire a second employee to actually walk the floor and engage your customers and present a presence in your store. Now you may say I can't afford a second employee all the time. Well here's an idea for ya. I bet you might be able to afford better help and more of it if you weren't deterring people from coming in by posting signs everywhere about no purses allowed and having 1 unenthusiastic employee holding down the fort. This is just my view.... On a Friday evening a liquor store shouldn't be a ghost town. This should be your first indication this might be a short-lived venture for you. I truly hate to say it but avoid this place at all costs...spend your money somewhere where they don't immediately assume you're a criminal for carrying a purse or bag. read more

My purse that is literally 4"x4" was not allowed and they got an attitude with me as if I was planning on stealing as soon as I walked in!! I was not. The owner has a very nasty attitude. I have been going to this store for years now and today a new guy was working and told me that he needed to write down information from my drivers license because I made a purchase over $150. I asked when this started and he said it has always been this way. I asked the guy that I normally see that just walked back in and he said it is the policy but once he has seen you once then he doesn't ask again. So, I say okay cool. You have confirmed it I am good with it. In the meantime the new guy calls the owner and puts him on speaker. The owner then starts to say this is our policy and to refund me (even though I have confirmed it with the other employee and am good with it). So he refunded my $150 and I left. I don't know about you all but if someone states that they have to write down my information from my drivers license I am going to be suspicious and question it. Private owned with friendly staff. They have a large selection of liquor and beer. Everything is priced fair as well. I love that I am greeted at the door and treated like a friend every time I come in. This will be the liquor store I'll be shopping at for now on. I walked into the store hoping to buy something, bringing my purse with me because I would need that to pay. The owner stops me and says "Ma'am, you can't bring a purse into the store." In my head, I was thinking, how the fuck am I supposed to purchase an item if I don't bring my purse? I told the owner that I wasn't going to leave my purse in the car and that I wasn't going to come back. With me saying that, the owner replied with "thanks, we didn't want you here anyways." Him saying that totally made me furious and I yelled to my husband not to pick the liquor because I wasn't going to purchase it. They basically don't care about thier customers. All of the workers were men. Are they that brainless? You would think they would have at least half a brain to register that women carry purses. They acted like this was Hollywood. The Middle-Aged, Wanna-be Playboy, rude, Middle Eastern RACIST, store owner (who LIES to the customers & claims to just be an employee while he's working) banned me from this store for arguing with him to get a 2nd bag for the $35 bottle of vodka that I purchased (and BTW...the only reason I was asking/insisting for a second bag, was because 1 1/2 yrs ago, I purchased a $70 bottle of Single Barrel Jack Daniels, that was placed in a single plastic bag, and the bottom of the bag tore as I was getting into my truck, causing the bottle to hit the asphalt and shatter... when I went back inside, I was told that I should've been holding it by the neck & not the plastic bag's handles & that I was SOL). The insane part is that the other 3 employees that he has, will gladly give you a second bag if you ask! Don't waste your time, go to the Publix liquor store on gun highway (approximately 2.5 miles away) and save the 25% price hike that he charges at his store! They're right near my house , so it sucks not to like them. I'm with everyone else on the purse issue. Pure BS. However the other day three young women who were clearly loaded came in and they were allowed to shop just fine. They were told they couldn't have purses, and they berated the counter clerk about it, they were belligerent, they were yelling to each other from across the store- but it was no problem that they were completely impaired and wanted to buy more alcohol. The guys who work there are not very friendly - they're not fun to ask questions of, they're not interested in talking about different aspects of mixing drinks, etc. I like to shop at places were people seem to enjoy their work and are interested in the products that they sell. They have a pretty good selection but their prices are high their beer and wine selection isn't great . And after this last experience having to deal with the crazy drunk women, I think I've had enough. There are plenty of other fish in the sea . read more

Just dropped off a uhaul and as we were walking back to our car decided to detour to check this place out. We throw a lot of parties and are always looking for new places to find different flavors and styles of beer. I was told I could not be in there with my purse. No explanation and no options for me to even look. I understand people steal but is limiting the number of customers really a the best option for a business? Why not offer lockers for people to store their purse or bag while they shop? Because of this experience I will not give this place any business nor would I recommend anyone else to. read more

Do they have a large selection? Yes. Are ethics more important to you than variety? If the answer is yes, never step foot in here. The owner is a complete jerk in every aspect. He is rude to his employees. He is all about being extremely hard on the reps and trying to get whatever deals he can as low as possible out of them, and then overprices all of his product. His markup is ridiculous. He is rude to his employees in front of customers. Last week I came in and BOUGHT an overpriced handle. I was asking him about making a donation for a non profit fundraiser (anything at all- a bottle of booze, not asking for anything crazy.) He told me that Christine is over all of those decisions (while bragging about how all POS that comes into his store is his and how great of prices he gets for everything) and that she is only in on Mondays and to come back. I just walked into the store (I am the only customer in there) and start talking to her, and he sees me and goes out back and CALLS her as she's talking to me. It's very obvious from her "okay, okay" short answers..then as soon as she hangs up, before I even had the chance to finish telling her the details, she says that she can't donate anything. If he didn't want to donate, no problem. But don't waste my time when you are going to be rude and call her from the back. Grow a pair and treat people and their time with respect. I wish I had seen these reviews prior to experiencing the horrible services, ridiculous "policies", and inflated prices. 09/30/16: Walked in because I found out my favorite beer was recently released and this place was on my drive home from work. I finally find the limited edition beer behind the counter so I told the cashier that is the one that I want. He told me that in order to qualify for the order I needed to make a minimum purchase of $25 of ONLY CRAFT BEER ---PRIOR to ringing up the beer I wanted, which is outrageous. He then proceeded to yell at me about my purse and told me that if I wanted to continue shopping I had to put my purse behind the counter (absolutely ridiculous). I even offered for him to "look inside" to make sure I didn't steal anything. After I picked a few other CRAFT beers I wanted to try or liked (remind you to meet this $25 minimum to qualify for the purchase I originally wanted to make), I finally was able to get the beer. The cashier then had to call his boss (who WAS IN THE BACK ROOM) to ask if the beers I picked qualified as "craft". Apparently they will only sell ONE of these beers each day, which looking back is def. to rip more people off. I went to a few other liquor/beer stores and was able to purchase the limited edition beer NO problem and without having to make any other ridiculous purchases. OH AND I WAS ALLOWED TO BRING IN MY PURSE. Did I mention that it was $5 cheaper at all the other places??? I will NEVER go here again nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone. Looking for a "house-warming gift" I stopped at this store on Friday to see if the store may have a sought-after selection that's not easily found and is a bit pricey. I was pleasantly surprised when told that they had 2 bottles and I advised that I wanted one. I was then told by the clerk that he had to call the owner to see if he could sell it. The clerk called the owner who told him that they would not sell this item until Sunday morning at 11:00. The owner told him to assure me that if I showed up at 11:00 in the morning on Sunday I could purchase the bottle. I was a bit confused and perturbed but none the less I said ok. Sunday morning I drove 16 miles to return to the store at 11:00 and was the first person at the counter only to be told that the owner decided to sell the selection on Saturday and "sorry, nothing we can do about it" was all I received. I asked if they sold all their stock and received "I don't know but I don't think so" as an answer. I asked if there was any way to contact the owner to ask but was told that the owner stays out late at night and sleeps late into the day so they couldn't bother him. Frustrated, I asked for the store telephone number so that I could call on Monday only to be told that the store, although I now see a telephone number on their FB page, doesn't have a telephone. I don't imagine that I will be going back to this business for any purchases ever again. Money must be extremely good for them to not care in the least whether or not they keep their word or treat their customers as valuable assets. read more

When a place charges more than a 100% mark up on a lot of its craft beer that is just absurd and uncalled for. We live 3 minutes away from this store. The prices are 30% higher than competition. But the convince is(was) worth it. Went in for my usual buy(not cheap) and the shelf was empty. I purchased something else and was told that because of the holiday it would be a few days until they got an order. Ok. Went in again, about a week later and still empty. I was upset and expressed my view. And would never be back. Get this, he said I don't blame you. What???? I will never be back and tell my neighbors not to go.
