Super chill, casual place for dinner + drinks. The service was great. Our server gave us tons of recommendations for the city and was overall very sweet and welcoming. Would definitely come back if we had time or are in the area again. The only feedback I'd really have is that it took a little while for our food to come out, but everything tasted amazing so we didn't really mind. Their drinks were also pretty good!

I live very close to Bottom's Up and never gave it a second thought, but a group of friends organized a happy hour here and I was surprised they have decent drinks! Reservations were made a couple days in advance for a group of 10. We sat in their balcony area, which was like a half-outdoor space. This worked out, as we could be outside for COVID safety, but we didn't have to be fully exposed to the wind. Our server was willing to charge separately or split up the bill however we wanted. Note there is a $15 minimum for using credit card, NOT including tips. * Cactus Juice ($10) - 4 stars This was surprisingly well-balanced though simple. It was not too strong and on the sweet side.

Fried Chicken Sandwich

Very chill bar with reasonable prices - came here on a Tuesday night and they had a local event showcasing old school games which were fun to play and engage with others. I LOVED my chicken sandwich from here and would come again just for that. A simple fried chicken sandwich but the breading was top notch (think it's all handmade and maybe even double fried) and the chicken was so juicy. That in and of itself was worth it. Solid selection of beers so well worth the $20 trip for a beer and food. The only reason I docked it a star is the area seems kind of shady so it's not that hustling and bustling most of the time so good for a chill night and if you are going with a big group to have a relaxing time.

Rye old fashioned

Chalk this up to a learning experience. This place also functions as a club and the pricing shows on their bad version of a mixed drink. $13.75 for a small pour rye old fashioned. The bartender made it by pouring soda and bitters into the glass, then icing it, then using a measured cup for the rye. The worst part though? She had the audacity to squeez a quarter of orange directly into the drink. Disgusting. This might work for inexperienced twenty-something's, but not me. The decor is modern, and the establishment a bit on the dark side, the one thing I liked about the place. Liquor selection is limited, and beer is just your average oat sodas. I got the impression that the neighborhood is a tad sketchy, but I felt safe enough. Parking is not impossible.

Speed Friending and Games!?

Great food and drink specials! They now host Speed Friending and dating with bar games on Wednesdays at night! This place got a remodel so it's looking fun! This event is called Speed Game Events!

The best bar in the Outer Mission and Excelsior. Shirley, the Manager, has an excellent range of cocktails, beer, and wine. DJs and live music are on the schedule, check Instagram for current scheduling. Friendly bartenders and good bar snacks and other food.

6 TVs, bunch of seating area, dj on the weekends with no cover ...Moderately priced drinks... Sarah, the bartender, is a sweetheart and provides great service ...

I typically love dry white wines and was really pleased to see they had multiple Assyrtiko wines to try. Food was amazing as well! Highly recommend their Zucchini Fritters, and Grilled Octopus as well! But my standout favorite has to be the Calabrese Pinsa! The staff was so nice too! I stayed for MANY hours hanging out with my girlfriends. We arrived at 6:30pm and stayed until closing and the staff did not rush us out even though they were already closed and cleaning up.

They were able to reserve a spot for 10 of us, we had a couple of couches to relax! They offer a robust wine list of White, Rose, Red, and Sparkling! I appreciate they broke the list down into Old World and New World. If wine's not your jam, there's also beer and other non-alcoholic drinks! Service was great and fairly attentive! For food we ordered: Spreads Platter: Three kinds of dips - Tzatziki, Taramosalata (fish roe), Melizanosalata (eggplant) Spanakopita: comes with 4 triangles Grilled Octopus: Delicious with garlic lemon EVOO dressing Lamb Riblets: Our favorite!! Great flavor! Different kinds of pizza: Perfect for sharing Overall, had a great time here and love catching up with friends while drinking some wine!

This wine bar is hidden from plain view and tucked away in the Excelsior/Outer Mission. Some friends and I discovered this little gem while looking for a place to have a nightcap. Sippin' Wine Bar is located on the second floor of the Bottoms Up Bar, but the vibe is totally different. Not sure if the two bars are actually affiliated, but they are like night and day. The stairs leading up to the bar are lit up and the interior of the bar is just absolutely gorgeous! It's spacious and low lit with an extremely sexy ambience. The decor is just out of this world! They have the cutest tables and sofas. The lamps and artwork are very unique but visually appealing, and the tables are set with candles that create a very sensual vibe. There's a small but adorable little patio where you can relax and get some air. The interior designer deserves a pat on the back AND a few glasses of wine (wink wink). Speaking of wine, they have tons and tons of it! Their selection is extensive and they make it really obvious with all of their lovely wine bottles that are on display. I really enjoyed their Angeline Pinot Noir as well as the Kungfu Girl Riesling. They serve food here as well. We had just come from dinner, but a few of us who shall remain nameless (cough cough) were still hangry and ordered garlic noodles, garlic fries, and tater tots. Yep, somebody's breath was stankin' but it wasn't mine! Although I didn't try any of the food, It smelled wonderful. There was no food left behind, so I'm assuming that it was delicious! The owner Shirley was fantastic! She happily hosted our group and let us sample several different wines from her collection. She mingled with us as well and talked about the business. The bar is still relatively new and opened a little over 2 years ago, so she is still trying to generate more business. I'm hoping that more people will frequent this place because I really enjoyed it and would love to see it stick around. So glad we stumbled upon this spot, and I'm looking forward to many more future visits.
