I have been here to try their chocolates before but have always wanted to come for one of their afternoon high teas. We were trying to think of something to do for my first Mother's Day this year and decided that high tea would be perfect! We made a reservation online a couple of weeks in advance for 1:30pm. They only have a few tables set up for high tea, so we were happy to get a reservation. We got there and were seated right away. They have the classic high tea for $47/person or you can upgrade to the bubbly tea for $58/person which includes a glass of brut rose sparkling wine. Each person can choose a loose leaf tea for their own teapot and they do bottomless refills! I went with the lavender vanilla tea and it was lovely. The tea sets themselves are beautiful. The teapots do not have a filter in them for the loose leaf tea, so you have to put a little filter over your teacup as you pour it. The afternoon high tea comes with a tower of finger sandwiches, scones, and desserts. We were so impressed with everything we had! The sandwiches were all delicious, our favorite was the mini reuben. The lemon poppyseed scone came with housemade spreads to add on that made it even better. We enjoyed all the sweets, it even came with one of their chocolate bonbons that they make in-house. My husband is not usually a macaron fan but loved the lemon one we had here! The chocolate covered strawberry stayed together as I ate it more than they usually do, I'm used to having the chocolate all fall off as soon as I take a bite. We stayed for about an hour and a half and had the best time. It was such a special Mother's Day treat! I'm a uber driver and kept passing this place and was always curious ..well, finally went in and so happy I did.. they have the best chocolates in town.. first of all they are beautiful, colorful and unique.. and super shiny!..lol.. you can taste how good the quality of the chocolate is and all the other flavors are just as good.. also, if you return the box your chocolates get put in and come in and buy more, you get and extra chocolate for free.. We made a reservation a couple weeks ahead to celebrate my hubby's birthday. My daughter really enjoys the High Tea experience with the fancy tea pots and tower of foods. We brought my mother-in-law along for her first time. She wasn't sure if she'd enjoy the foods since she's a picky eater. But she really loved all of the food! We picked our teas when we got seated and they bring out your own tea pots to enjoy the endless tea. We picked chocolate strawberry, peppermint green tea, sencha, and energy tea. I really enjoyed the instrumental music they had playing in the background, different style renditions of popular music. I really enjoyed the hazelnut scones, nicely balanced with chunks of nuts in it. I loved the additional touch they added at the top, a Happy Birthday thin chocolate sheet. We got to sit and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere for a couple of hours, with no feeling of being rushed out. read more

I had a big job done making all of my religious books made into spiral binds so they lay flat when opened. The assistant manager of the print place told me his girlfriend LOVES the chocolates from Bouchée. I looked them up on Yelp and saw many great reviews and photos. So I stopped in to get a thank you box for the print shop and a small box for a friend I am seeing tonight. Natalie, the owner operator helped me with some pictures for Yelp and she was nice. Her shop is clean including the bathroom for customers only, that I need as an older guy. There is plenty of parking outside in the strip mall. She offers many things besides artfully crafted bon bons. There are many products to choose from the shelves on the walls like seasonal jams and jellies. She recently began offering a collection of jelato by the cup or go ahead a buy a pint for home. She offers tea in the quaint dining area and she also has teas for sale. I enjoyed checking out the consignment art she has on the walls. A new digital price board on the wall shows the many things she offers. Kindness from her comes free of charge. read more

I was first introduced to Bouchee Confections from a Yelp Event and knew it was the perfect place to get something nice for my mom for Mother's Day. While the chocolates always look beautiful I had to get a box of the pastries in the case. Luckily, even though I stopped in later in the day I was still able to choose from almost everything! I got a Peanut Dulcey, tiramisu, a seasonal item, and the MUST TRY the Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate. All of these items are light, fluffy, not too sweet, and full of flavor. Again, the Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate is by far my favorite item in the whole shop and I'm not a chocolate super fan! In addition to the chocolates they have an High Tea service that looks like so much fun and a great way to try all of the goodies available as well as a more substantial lunch-like meal. Every time I've been in there is always friendly and kind service. However, it can be a bit of a wait if the are more than a couple customers in at a time. My dentist recommended this place after telling her I needed to find a special gift for my grandmas 91st birthday (She's a big chocolate lover and gourmet cook). I was able to pick out flavors to put into my grandmothers gift box and had to buy a small box for myself because they looked too good. These chocolates did not disappoint. Each one so flavorful and tasting just like they were supposed to. Beautifully crafted and I will definitely be back. They even do High Tea which sounds fun to go to sometime. I had a lovely afternoon tea service in April with a Yelp friend, her coworker, and her co-workers' granddaughter at Bouchee Confections. Reservations were made several weeks earlier; they offer high tea service every first and third Saturday for $45 per person and their menu changes monthly. Since I arrived a little early, I perused their cases: row upon row of beautiful chocolate bonbons in their main case and gorgeous desserts in their other case. I selected a dozen bonbons ($29) and two desserts (Tropical and Chocolate/Chocolate/Chocolate) - which were set aside for me until after our tea service. Every table in the shop was already set-up with plates, tea cups, napkins, and flatware. After everyone was seated, the service began with a tea menu and menu of what would be served for high tea. The tea menu had a nice selection of herbal, green, and black teas. I personally love black teas so I selected the strawberry chocolate pur'eh tea. After the tea pots, sugar, and cream were brought to our table, 2 three-tiered stands soon followed. The April menu consisted of: 4 finger sandwiches (egg salad; carrot, bell pepper, smoked gouda cheese, garlic aioli; pastrami, beer mustard cheddar, pickled onion, arugula; smoked salmon and lemon, dill cream cheese), a candied orange cream scone with housemade clotted cream, lemon curd, and housemade Nutella), a chocolate bonbon, bite-sized carrot cake, lemon crinkle cookie, and chocolate-covered strawberry. I loved the sandwiches - every one was soft, fresh, and delicious. My favorite was the smoked salmon. While I loved the desserts, I would have traded the sweets for another sandwich. Because the strawberry chocolate pur'eh tea was a sweet tea (I added sugar), the savory sandwiches simply paired better with my sweetened tea. I wouldn't hesitate to have afternoon high tea again but I'd select another black tea (unsweetened) to pair with the sweet and savory items. This has been my current obsession since I discovered it at a Yelp Event. And ever since, I've been waiting with bated breath for Natalie's cake creations every month. My favorite is her classic strawberry pistachio. This beauty taste as good as it looks. The inside has a strawberry gelee surrounded by a stiff whip cream that has a taste of pistachio, all encased in a sticky pink gelatin. This is so refreshing and isn't too sweet. She also has other creations such as tropical, choco-caramel, lavender apricot and many more! Of course I have to talk about her chocolates, which are absolute perfection. So many different flavors and more are added periodically. As a chocolate lover who has tried many different types of chocolates, I can say that Bouchee's is one of my favorites. Yelp deleted my previous review as I mentioned I was introduced to Bouchee via an event. Bouchee had been on my radar for a while from following their social media, but it was the Yelp event that brought me in finally. Aside from the Yelp sampler, we purchased several other items to try and loved the quality. It's a small shop, with a small but beautiful display of handcrafted chocolates and desserts. We sampled the apple dessert and strawberry pistachio. These are mousse based desserts, with gelee and biscuit layers with intense flavors and different textures to delight. The apple one had a flavor I couldn't pinpoint a bit spicy and stronger than pie spice that I didn't care for, but the Strawberry was a pleasant sweet note. The bonbons or chocolates are the star of the show. So incredibly beautiful with impossibly thin (the perfect amount) outer shells incasing unique and flavorful fillings. The chocolate has the perfect snap of precise tempering that is a joy to the mouthfeel. I've had chocolates from the famed La Maison du Chocolate in Paris and these are comparable. The pecan pie bonbon was incredible, with layers of textures packed into it's shiny bite. Already booked a high tea with my daughter for next month that we are highly anticipating. read more

A recent Elite Event made me a fan of this delightful provider of unique, beautiful, finely crafted and oh so delicious creations. Natalie is an artist of confections - bonbons, gateaûs, and other sweet treats. I came back to buy dessert for our valentine dinner - Chocolate, Chocolate Chocolate and a special Cream Puff. Both were delicious. Ordering ahead for special holiday treats is a must! Not that I needed much encouragement to make a return visit, a friend and fellow Yelper suggested we give her "High Tea" a try. So four of us (reservations are required) showed up to partake in a very proper very beautifully presented high tea. The tables were all set with china plates and tea cups on doilies and little tea strainers. We started with an expensive menu of available teas and each of us ordered something different. I had the Mint. We each got our own teapot all were different. I found the Elephant pots most delightful. Next came the tower of goodies - finger sandwiches on the bottom tier, raspberry scones with clotted cream, lemon curd and grapefruit marmalade on the second tier, and shortbread, chocolate filled puff pastry, chocolate dipped strawberries, and a bonbon on the top. The meal was $45 PP. We all came away stuffed! I think my favorites were the pastrami sandwich and the rich buttery shortbread - though I loved all of it. What an absolute gem we have here in Reno! My mom, daughter and I just had their high tea, and it was absolutely wonderful! The assortment of teas is fantastic, and after perusing the menu, we opted for the lavender vanilla. The presentation was beautiful, and all of the food/desserts we had were delicious. You can tell that owner Natalie has put her heart and soul into everything she prepares. This is one of the only locations I've found that offers High Tea service, and it's simply amazing. Do keep in mind they only do it certain days of the month! I've been to High Tea here about five times, and each visit has been fantastic. They offer a variety of finger sandwiches, scones, confections, and cookies. You also get your own pot of bottomless tea, with the option to choose different flavors each time. Although the place is charming, it is quite small, so it can feel a bit tight when all the tables are occupied. Nevertheless, it's worth it! The service is always excellent. read more

I've been wanting to take my daughter for a sweet little treat for awhile. I stumbled upon Bouchée Confections omg what a cute spot! They have all sorts of goodies! On the weekends they have high tea where you make a reservation and you get tea, snacks, and desserts. We saw their set up and it was adorable! We got these pastry cakes, some bonbons, ice-cream, and pumpkin spice lattes. Let me tell you about these little cakes so I had the pistachio and when you first dive in it's like a pistachio moouse or cream then in the middle there is another cream, then there was a layer of chocolate, then a layer of a pistachio spread, and finally the base was like a brownie. There were so many layers, flavors, and textures it was so fun to see what would come next with each bite. The cakes were only 10 dollars Anywhooo this is a locally owned and operated business on Moana with everything made in house. My ONLY complaint was that they offered a refill of my tea pot, but my tea leaves didn't end up steeping because the water refill wasn't hot enough so it just became water that I was drinking and not tea... My daughters and I had tea service for the second time here and again enjoyed it all very much: varied tea selection, lovely atmosphere and music, delicious special sandwiches, scones, and sweets. The Strawberry Chocolate Pu'erh Tea has become our regular favorite. The Spiced Apple Tea from the seasonal menu was also enjoyable. Our favorite finger sandwiches this time were the Fall Chicken Salad and the Mushroom Risotto Phyllo Cups. The Peach Cardamon Cream Scone was perfect, tasty and not heavy, dense, or dry. Housemade sweets included raspberry almond layer cake, chocolate-covered strawberry, bonbon, and date bar. Perhaps the only suggestion for improvement is to use tea infusers instead of strainers, which we keep forgetting to use when we pour. We love how the menu changes, so it is a different but equally delicious experience as the last. read more

I've been looking around for tea service ever since I moved to Nevada from Campbell, Ca. I used to do tea with my auntie and cousin at least 3 times a year. It was our "special" girl time after church thing. I did have tea service at Perenn Bakery @ Rancharrah not too long ago and I thought it was nice. I'd try it again but sadly I went on the last day they were offering it. I wasn't sad for long though! Bouchée Confections popped up on my Facebook feed oddly enough after a phone conversion with my best friend about tea service. (Hmmm they do listen in) I quickly clicked on the link, of course!! The page is easy to navigate, link took me to their reservation form. Yes, you have to book ahead. Tea service is the First and Third Saturday of Every Month plus every Saturday and Sunday from 11/19/22 - 1/1/23  I tried to book yesterday the 18th thinking I may just get lucky and book it and as expected, I got an error message saying I have to book at least a day in advance. So I just gave them a call and got lucky after all, they squeezed us in! At 45 dollars per person and absolutely worth it. Tea service includes: * 4 Unique Finger Sandwiches * Seasonal Housemade Cream Scone with housemade clotted cream and jam * Assortment of Housemade Desserts  * Bottomless Pot of Organic Tea from Glory Cloud Coffee Roasters served with sugar and cream I ordered a caffeinated peach ginger tea and my friend had strawberry chocolate; they were both fragrant and delicious. The sandwiches today were a cucumber lemon cream cheese dill, chicken salad, caramelized onion cheese, and an arugula horseradish roast beef; they all were very tasty. The sweets consisted of apple cinnamon scones served in house made clotted cream, orange marmalade and lemon curd. It also came with Chocolate bonbons, chocolate covered strawberries, pound cake minis soaked in a lemon honey sauce, and 2 little cup shaped custard like pieces I've never seen before. I think they were the Canelé De Bordeaux; I could of eaten 10 of those and called it a dessert coma, they were amazing! Such a fun and unique place for a sweet treat! My boyfriend and I wandered in here since it's close to Coffee n Comics. They were in the middle of a high tea, which looked SO fun, but we were still welcomed in and offered samples. The PB&J bonbon I tried was amazing! We asked some questions about the little cakes and ordered an apricot lavender one that was leaving for the season and a chocolate raspberry mousse one. Both were amazingly flavorful and decadent. The apricot lavender was so fresh and light, and the lavender wasn't too overpowering. The chocolate raspberry was soooo rich and delicious. We came here for the High Tea. The area has room for about 6 tables. They have chocolates (bonbons) displayed in a case. We were in a large group of 8. It was $45/ person so a bit steep but you come for the experience. There's a long list of different teas, I believe it's unlimited but I only drank one pot worth. I have been following Bouchee Confections on Instagram for a while and always have been meaning to stop by. I finally got the opportunity to and am so glad I did! Main points: staff are helpful and friendly, so many beautiful yummy treats, and plenty of gifts for all on your holiday list. I was told one of their most popular flavors is the Salted Butter Caramel which is definitely delicious. But you cannot go wrong! I love their convos and that you can taste the flavors they say are in there. I love all the gift choices! One of the cool things I saw is you can buy a chocolate box that is full of BonBons and they can even seal the box shut so the person receiving it has to break it open! They also have a beautiful December Advent calendar - which I mean is fun to do and you support a local business. I was also told that if you are local save your bonbon box! I took my mother here for her 81st Birthday yesterday. For their high tea. Let me tell you, everything about this experience was completely exceptional!! They have such a beautiful shop! It's decorated for Xmas currently. It gives a warm homely vibe. We also got rośe bubbles and they were so good. The whole assortment was impressive. So, if you spend a year in France studying pastry and chocolate does it make sense to open a confections shoppe in Reno? It does if your a skier named Natalie and you are a Truckee-Reno-Donner Summit convertee. Story has it she learned to ski at Sugar Bowl and has stick like glue to the area. In addition to a college career majoring in chemistry and Chinese, Natalie was the Master Pastry Chef at CoffeeBar in Truckee. Not to brag but she was responsible for many of their signature pastries. From bars to bonbons, caramels to nuts, all her masterpieces are handmade and "meticulously crafted". My cousin loves their Rocky Road selections, where as I am addicted to the Coffee and the Lemon Milk Chocolate bonbons. I also recommend the Raspberry and the Orange chocolates. Bouchée Confections also creates assorted praline boxes and various flavoured chocolate bars. It's a bit pricey, but you're paying for the quality. With the holidays approaching it's a great gift idea. We often just grab our brew from C n C next door then throw willpower to the wind and pick a BC flavour of the week. It's all good! read more

Whether it's a girls afternoon out, a special occasion- high tea is a unique way to celebrate / get together. This weekend was my first time here with some girlfriends and the set up was very chic. Although the bright green walls don't quite suit the ambiance in my opinion, but anyways. The servings of sandwiches, confections didn't seem like much, but was actually quite filling and satisfying. I'm usually a sweet tooth but actually enjoyed the savory bites more than the desserts. The orange pound cake was delectable but the caramel cream puff and chocolate were too sweet. As for tea options, there's so many to choose from and it's unlimited. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, is because I felt the service was not to par with what I expected for this type of elevated food experience. Overall though, really love that we have something like this here and will def plan to come back for another occasion. read more

What a lovely surprise! Having been disappointed with myself for arriving at Josefs Vienna Bakery across the street to late, I saw the Comic and Coffee place I've been to before. Drove across the street (it was 42 out, not a walking temp door a skirt) then noticed the word Confections. Oh the beauty! And many choices! I bought a box of six. Have yet to taste them though as I decided they were to become a gift. I'll keep you posted! read more
