The meat was fresh and the sausage and mashed potato's plus the cheese were a perfect match. My wife had the burger that had the beer cheese on it. She loved it. Boudicca's was our first meal on our Gatlinburg trip and we were blown away by this Irish pub. Julian was our bartender and he was super hospitable. He even let me try a couple of samples to help me pick my pint! Food was incredible too. Adam (I think was our cook's name?) did a wonderful job with the food! Only thing that we were slightly dissatisfied with was that our food came in to-go containers. Not a super big deal, but we had just finished a long drive and were excited to finally sit and enjoy a meal. Overall, we were pleased with our experience and will definitely be back! read more

We stopped here to get a quick bite to eat and something to drink. When you arrive the bartender provide you the menu and to select what you're interested and pay at his station. We ordered fish and chips, and chicken and fries. They had heinz ketchup which was a perk for us Pittsburghers. Maybe a little seatery downstairs, but upstairs is where you should sit which has some comfortable seating arrangements. They bring your food up to you. We didn't wait long as the lady brought our food out to us. The food was delicious, I had a Harp beer, all of the beers are geared around Irish beer as it should be. They do have pear cider which is very good as well, but at an irish bar need to stick with Irish beer. Overall, great place french fries are very good. Great little hidden Irish -style Pub.. Despite only having a few stools at the bar downstairs and a tiny kitchen, this crew gives great service and takes care of its guests. We had a few beers and ciders then had obligatory fish and chips and beer cheese . All were very tasty, well cooked and flavorful. I know it's a small thing, but the "chips " aka French fries were just on point and even better when you add some malt vinegar. The last cool extra touch was the "printer" for the obligatory Guinness pints. The bartender after pouring a perfect pint , added a special image of Smokey bear on top of the beer head. The Celtic Pub is definitely a little gem located in The Village on the Gatlinburg strip. I want to start by saying get the beer cheese!!! If you order a burger with chips (fries) just add a side of beer cheese! I am still dreaming of that beer cheese from a week ago. My husband ordered the burger that won during the 2023 burger week contest. It was gigantic! It had two patties, sausage, mashed potatoes and gravy and more, all on the burger! He said it was delicious. I ordered the melt. It was tasty but I'll try something else next visit. The only downside for us, which can be a plus to many, is that they allow dogs upstairs, which is where you eat your food if you choose to stay at the Pub and eat. On our visit, there were 3 very large dogs and the upstairs was a little crowded so we did have to pick a table near one of the dogs. I enjoy animals, and have dogs myself, but while I am eating, I prefer not to have a dog's tail wagging and shedding all over my food. My daughter however, if she had been with us this trip, would have been completely fine with all the dogs in the room. It really is to each their own on this topic and it won't deter us from eating at the Pub again, we just may choose to get it to go bc that beer cheese is calling my name!!! read more

They used to be amazing. Now the service sucks, the food is subpar, and you got rid of the fried onions and peppers (the only good thing on the menu) its a small pub with seating for skinny and young people. The chairs are more like small stools. The walls are decorated with Irish stuff which always gave me a sense of home (im Irish) oh and their souvenir cup is a scam. Will never be back. Will never recommend this place again. read more

This was one of our favorite places we visited in Gatlinburg. It is a little intimidating to the first-time visitor. The place is small. You go to the bar, order, and then go upstairs. They will bring your order up to you. They have a great selection of drinks to select from. I ordered a mixed flight, it has 4 of their mixed beer drinks. I really enjoyed it. My wife ordered the Scot's melt, and she really enjoyed it. My daughter and I both had the fish and chips. The fish was okay, but the chips were really good. And everything was hot! This is not the norm for Gatlinburg restaurants. We would highly recommend going here and if we visit Gatlinburg again, we will return. read more

The restaurant is located in "The Village" and is tucked towards the back so you have to look for it. They do NOT have a bathroom on premise, you have to use the ones in "The Village". You order at the bar, take your drinks up narrow stairs, and they bring your food up to you. I can highly recommend the burgers with the onion jam or beer cheese, served with an ample amount of fries. The food is served in to-go containers and you take your empty glasses downstairs. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of seating upstairs or downstairs. The bartender acted like we were a nuisance and bothering him. Probably won't go back. read more

The fish and chips were the best I've had from a restaurant besides the Fox and Parrot which is, sadly, closed temporarily. Ambiance was fun as what is expected with a Celtic Pub. They have a small seating area upstairs, otherwise, you have to get your food and find somewhere to sit somewhere in The Village area. Service was fine. They has Smithwicks (beer) so we were very happy about that! Ordered 2 meals: Celtic Spice Bag (chicken/fries/onions/peppers in a paper bag) AND Frickle Burger. The spice on the chicken was nice but had hoped it would be spicier. Unfortunately the chicken was dry. The burger won them a 1st place award but it was just OK. We stopped by Boudicca's just the other day and managed to find a seat at the bar. I will say that the bar was a wonderful choice for us. I talked with some of the staff there and they were wonderful. I went with my husband and we are newly married. It happened to come up in conversation while there and we were gifted a Guinness beer with a design on top! This was a very personal place and I loved hearing the music and listening to stories from the people inside. I personally liked the layout of the place. I felt that it was very cozy and it really fit in with the rest of the Village surrounding it but it had its own unique thing that made it very different than the other places nearby. I got the Highland steak cooked to medium rare. It was probably the best steak I've had in my life. The seasoning was on point and it was actually the first time in my life I had gotten a steak cooked perfectly! My husband got the Boudicca's burger and he claimed it was the best burger he's ever had. I was able to try it and I have to say that I agree it was a great burger. read more

Another off the strip establishment that I almost literally stumbled across. I was hungry, this place had the right vibe and looked like it would be good. It was. They have Guinness on Tap. I'm no expert, but they seem to be pouring and serving it properly. The staff are friendly and helpful. They'll treat you like a regular even if it's your first visit. If you're ordering food, you order at the bar and they'll bring it to you upstairs in the dining area in to-go containers. Any leftovers will be ready to roll without having to ask for a box. Shrug. It works. They're obviously working with the space they've got. Can't score it for authenticity. It's in Gatlinburg and it wasn't full of folks from the current convention, so I'm going to call it good enough. read more
