Be careful ordering shrimp. Both of our meals had shrimp and neither of them were deveined. It was gross. Asked the manager about it and he said they get their shrimp deveined. We've always enjoyed their food, but last night our dinner was far from disappointing. I ordered takeout ,and when I got home the French fries were stale, the combination etouffee was cold and greasy (my husband did not eat it and he lost his appetite). This would have been his first meal of the day after a hard day of work out in the cold. I paid $52, with tip included for 3 plates including a kid's meal and everything went to the trash. This place used to be good, but not anymore. Everything looked dirty and needed a cleaning, from the tables to the floor. Employees seemed bothered you are there and all have their masks down around their chins, even though the door sign says they are taking COVID precautions, yeah right. Even the folks in the kitchen have their face masks dangling at best. The shrimp poboy was more like a tomato and lettuce sandwich and the pecan crusted chicken salad was decent, although the chicken was rubbery and not edible. One of my clients told me she orders some of her Thanksgiving meal from here. As soon as she told me about the bread I called to order one. They have regular bread pudding and sweet potato bread pudding. I ordered the sweet potato and when I tell you it was like my mom's sweet potato pie mixed in a wonderful moist bread pudding. We had it with Blue Bell Pecan Praline ice cream and omg it was absolutely amazing. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I've even heard their dressing is good so I'll have to try it out soon. Given the 90+ temps we're not so gracefully greeting nowadays, I thought I'd step out for a refreshing hurricane at Boudreaux's. I arrived to a happy hour crowd and knew it would likely cause some wait time, but that proved to be the understatement of 2018... so far. I walked up to the bar... all but drooling... as I longed for an icy hurricane and waited. I waited for any acknowledgement. Nothing. So I figured I'd order my food instead. The food line was quick, much to my liking. I walked up, placed my order with Chris, and finally wrapped my fingers around a frosty libation. The time was 5:59pm. I found a table, set it up with utensils, ice water, and waited. While waiting I figured I'd dive into the cyberworld for a bit; Facebook was busy. Periodically I'd peer over my screen to see the crowd moving about the restaurant. My stomach reminding me it was well into meal time, after 30 minutes I walk to the serving/expediting area with #13 buzzer in hand to question the wait. "Chris have you forgotten me," I ask my order taker. Mind you, he wasn't paid to serve me so the extent of my expectations was a mere buzz. #13 was silent for over 30 minutes, and I TIPPED HIM for THAT "service"! A guy expediting orders addressed me but never mentioned if he was the manager. He acknowledged he'd thrown my food away when it wasn't claimed. Apparently the wrong buzzer was activated when my order was ready for pick up. When no one picked it up, it was just tossed. No one bothered to walk the floor to see if someone (a single top) was waiting for food. So at the manager's suggestion, I sat back at my table and waited AGAIN for my food. No offer to refresh my drink, no discount on my food, or any recompense. The only highlight of this visit was the food; it was really tasty. Too bad the inept service stole the show. My tips to the manager and staff: Go the extra mile for your customers! The order taker could have peered into the restaurant and ensured all his customers were taken care of. The manager could have performed a quick sweep of the floor before tossing food away. It really doesn't take that much to provide excellent service in this environment. I went to this place to give them one more chance, where I ordered the seafood gumbo, and it was not seafood gumbo, it was the shrimp gumbo which is less price, plus they low bowered me with the amount of the to go container, it was less than what it should of been, plus the food was not that hot, for the amount they charged me, where I could of got something better across the street for a better price and quantity. read more

Called in and ordered seafood platter , rep repeated my order and I paid Someone to pick up. My food was not what I ordered and when I called to complain I was told my the manager mike that the item I ordered was no longer available and that it was my fault for not having an accurate menu. I asked why wouldn't the rep explain to me the entree I ordered wasn't available anymore instead of repeating the order and allowing me to proceed under the impression I was getting the seafood platter. I was told most people know that it isn't offered and that the "la sampler" is similar .At that point I realized mike may have been an inexperienced manager and limited when dealing with complaints. He asked me to send pics to his cell phone if the menu I looked at when I placed my order and he still exclaimed I was at fault for the incorrect order. He offered to remake my order but I expressed I didn't have a vehicle and already paid someone to pick up food. He says he will take my name and if I wanted to order in the future he would remake the order. I don't know how this would help being as though the entree I wanted is no longer offered. Love this place! I travel around Houston for work so this location popped up around Willowbrook Mall. The service is great here. The bartender immediately asked me what I wanted to eat and drink and put in the order so I didn't have to wait. He refilled my drinks multiple times. Even gave me extra mashed potatoes! I had a shrimp po boy with gumbo and it was perfect! Right amount of everything between the sauce, shrimp and gumbo! I didn't try the hurricane there (alcoholic) but it's daily $5 and on Thursday they have a special for $1 hurricanes! Definitely trying next time. Only thing I would say would be a great addition to the menu is a Cajun Mac and Cheese! I would love to see something like this! read more

Almost halfway thru the 3rd quarter we realize, none of our food or other drink orders had come. Like I said we were chillin; asked the bartender the status of food, reminded him about the 2 frozen drinks; & ordered another pitcher to wait. He'd not once come over to check on us, to say oh hey the kitchen is workin on the order: NOTHING!!! Now it's 4th quarter, pitcher almost gone, still no food & no frozen drinks. I've eaten at Boudreaux's once, and I'd definitely come back in hopes of a better experience. I ordered the blackened crawfish with white rice and an extra side of green beans. My father ordered the Pasta Jambalaya and my grandma ordered a bowl of Red Beans & Rice. The food took a while to arrive and unfortunately, my green beans arrived cold so I sent them back to warm up. Waiting for the green beans to return took way longer than it needed to so the service here did not impress me at all. My blackened crawfish wasn't piping hot the way I would've liked but the flavor was SO GOOD that I let it slide. Once my green beans arrived, I digged in and absolutely CLEANED my plate, ignoring my full belly. That's how freaking delicious my food was. I highly recommend the blackened crawfish if you like your food spicy and soulful. The Boudreaux's hot sauce is also memorable. My dad rated his Pasta Jambalaya an 8 out of 10 and liked the large portion size, while my grandmother was impressed with the flavor of the red beans and rice, and said she'd like to dine at Boudreaux's again. For the higher pricing I expected more. Also, as big and airy as the place was with fans running I always seem to get a little bit too warm. Even if it's raining and cold as hell outside. So I've never reviewed them as I didn't really hate nor love them. Until today, when I tried the Zydeco Pasta. Grilled chicken over pasta in Zydeco sauce with grated cheese on top and small chunks of tomatoes, plus a small piece of garlic bread. I was ecstatic. It looked dirty. Be careful where you sit, you just might end up with condensation leaking from the A/C on you, your drink or even your food. Don't say I didn't warn you, it happened several times. The most recent time, I ordered the Pasta Jambalaya. That was a terrible mistake. It was awful. They butchered the chicken. Either it was the fatty end or the chef has zero knife skills. We just ate here. The manager who took our order was very unfriendly and unhelpful. Very expensive and food was luke warm. My husband got the pecan crusted chicken salad. The lettuce was wilted and he left most of the dish because it was inedible. The ceiling was dripping water in several places from the a/c and we had to relocate tables. We will not be back.
