Yelp Review for Boulder Falls This was the second phase of my project with Boulder Falls: I couldn't be happier with the results of the paver patio and the dry river. I believe Eduardo is the superintendent. Once Wendy determines what the job is going to be, it gets turned over to Eduardo. He and his work crew are some of the most professional, kind, and caring people I've ever worked with. They were courteous and efficient, and their work is truly beautiful. In fact, it's beyond what I imagined: unbelievable craftsmanship. Having completed two projects with Boulder Falls, I want to share a helpful tip for others: It's incredibly important to be very thorough about what you want and go over all the paperwork together. It's easy during conversations to form expectations, while the other person may hear or interpret something a little differently. It's no one's fault; it's just something that could happen if details aren't clearly defined in writing. that being said, I have zero complaint at all. I'm just saying if you're a person like me that does a lot of visualizing and then verbal communication. Make sure that what you're seeing in YOUR head is also what you are conveying accurately to your rhetorical audience which in this case was {BFL} or a CAN become frustrating for the company trying to meet your expectations. It's also good if you can ahead of time know exactly what you want with this company because they are in demand, and very busy. I did frustrate Wendy a couple of times because I changed my mind with a few things along the way, and it set back their SUMMER timeline. However They did not complain to me about it, but I could tell. So, I found that its better if you know what you want and then go forward, but they worked with me and their work was outstanding. That said, I would absolutely recommend Boulder Falls 1000%. Their work is fabulous, and Eduardo's and his crew are top-notch at what they create. To be honest with you I was quite disappointed when the project was over because I looked so forward to seeing the team coming every day. They are such a pleasant experience that I hope you too get to enjoy! read more

Not sure I can say enough about my experience with them. Wendy came out early-April to give us a bid, told me "I control the schedule, this is a small-ish job (3-4 days) and I'll be able to work it in between larger jobs as the crews finish up." I put down the 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit and a week later I texted to see if there was a date, it took her 2 days to respond saying "we're trying to fast-track it and get it worked into the schedule, but probably 3rd week of May. I'll be back in touch next week". (what???) Two weeks later (May 4) I texted and asked where we were since we now had our new puppy and that was what the project was for. She told me "we are starting two projects tomorrow and you are next in line". Two weeks after that (May 15), she texted and said "Excited to start your project, will contact you June 8 to let you know start date" (WHAT???) I questioned everything, as she did nothing but "sell" me on a false timeline, never contacted me like she said she would, came up with a myriad of excuses and lies and then told me "landscaping isn't like putting in a door where you can keep a firm schedule" (I get that, but we are now 4 weeks after the deposit, and no hope to know a schedule for another 3 weeks at least!) Then she tried to justify her lies again with "unforeseen waterlines and locates on other jobs but will purchase your materials today so we can get started if something comes available" (wait, you have my money and still haven't purchased my materials?) I said I wanted to cancel since nothing had been purchased and it had been 5 weeks with still no hope for a start date for at least 3 more weeks. After another round of emails they finally agreed to return my deposit (so it's really not NON-REFUNDABLE, as stated on their bid), I told her that with all of the outright lies I had no confidence in them being able to do my job correctly. She had the nerve to tell me that she was insulted by that! By the way...we contracted with another company to do the work, paid a bit more, but have all the locates done already and a firm start date and estimated completion date. I'm sure the workmanship would have been acceptable, but the constant lies caused me to lose faith in the company. read more

We recently hired Boulder Falls to install a French drain, drip system, and new sod in our backyard. They did an excellent job. Communication was top notch, they showed up when they said they would, and their crew worked really, really hard. Eduardo, the crew lead, knew his stuff inside and out. And Wendy, who did the bid, has continued to be responsive to our follow up questions. read more

Used to love them for our . Then our rates were raised twice in just over a year, last time by 50%. Becoming erratic on which day they come out. Today, after hounding them to mow our lawn (it has been 4 weeks) they came out for about 20 minutes. They were supposed to apply weed/feed and moss killer. Looked at our backyard after they left and found out they mowed only 2/3 of the yard. No fertilizer or anything. Not responding to calls. read more

Just coming here to comment on the rudeness of this driver. We were shopping today at the Lloyd Center (with a good friend and her 9 month old). This guy parked within 3 inches of her driverside door. If we had not been there to help hold the little one so someone could crawl through to access the driver seat she would have been stranded and trapped outside her car due to this jerks parking. He also parked so sideways no one could park in the lane on his other side, basically occupying two lanes and blocking access to our car completely. This was one of those shit parking jobs you see in tiktok videos and memes and so incredibly inconsiderate to those around you. Thankfully he was also broadcasting the company he either works for or owns ALL OVER HIS CAR. Thanks for at least giving us a way to ask you to be more considerate in the future. read more

Sought some minor landscape work after discussing at county garden show. Came out and looked over the property and agreed to draw up a bid over the weekend and be in touch. That was nearly two months ago. read more

Scott and his crew are just amazing! We had a rough idea of what we thought we wanted, and Scott changed a few things here, tweaked a few more there, and we ended up with an amazing design. From the patio stone-work to the lighting for the trees, the sidewalk design and the outdoor kitchen -- everything is simply beautiful and we practically live in our back yard now. The installation and workmanship are impeccable and we could not be happier. Can't wait to have them back to work on the rest of our landscaping! read more

These people are so bad there is no possible rating I can give them and unfortunately, we have to at least give them one star or I cannot post the review. In our opinion, it is one star too much for this joke of a company. They damaged my Air Conditioning unit that was outside on a platform. To get them to pay to replace the part they broke on our A/C outside took an act of congress. They did a poor job in maintaining our yard. I can definitely say that there is no way that I would ever recommend this company. read more

Scott and his crew just completed our front and back yard makeover. We replaced the front grass, added a couple paths, a dry creek bed, water feature, irrigation re-do, and many new plants. Total project was about $12.5K. Scott has a great eye for creativity. We pretty much let him run with his ideas. We're very happy with the results. We would highly recommend Boulder Falls. read more

Disappointing service. I had a fixed monthly payment plan. I was promised a crew would pay weekly visits for an agreed to amount of time. This didn't happen. For the price I paid the service was terrible. As others have mentioned, it is very difficult to reach anyone. I must say, however, they are very prompt in sending their bills. Find some one else for your landscaping needs. read more

Rotten customer service. Hired them for a job and they were happy to take 10% down. Tried calling them numerous times, no response. Got fed up and left messages and wrote e-mails requesting my deposit back. NO RESPONSES. Check around before you call these guys. read more

Wow! Don't hire Boulder Falls for your project. First, it took them 2 days to return my call. Then, I scheduled for an estimate but the lady was driving and I had a feeling that some information wasn't getting recorded. When the day came for the estimate, I waited...and waited...and waited...finally, I called them. The man said that my appointment was for 1:00---it was really 4:00. He had my address wrong and when I said that I would have appreciated a phone call, he said he didn't have my phone number! Funny...they were able to call me in the first place! Not a good way to run a business! I will take my money elsewhere and I recommend you do, too! read more

Our yard was a miserable mess due to the previous homeowner's attempts. After years of irritation, we hired Scott and his team to perform a completely redo. What an incredible process! It was 3 1/2 weeks worth of work. They completely leveled our yard and ripped out the old trees, grass, about 6" of clay, and a pathetic 10' x 10' patio. My husband and I are not creative and relied on Scott's vision and experience. What they designed is a showpiece. They reduced our grass size by 50%, added boulders, trees, shrubs, a 4-station irrigation system, 800 square foot paver patio, up and down lighting, and an amazing water feature. We live in an HOA neighborhood and Scott worked with us to follow our CC&Rs and kept the worksite very neat and organized. His staff were absolutely wonderful and sometimes worked longer hours to stay on target. One of the best reactions to their work was when a group of ladies going for a walk, stopped in front of our house to look at our new yard. All I could do was smile! The bill was almost exact even with a change to sod that we requested. Scott went over the water feature's maintenance and emphasized that we call him with any questions. This was a great experience with a great company. I would definitely not hesitate to hire them again for any other needs. read more
