Asked what my beer pallet was like and before you knew it I'm trying all these amazing delicious brews! She was so warm and welcoming, and she spoke with everyone like they'd been friends for ages! It's customer service like this that keeps you coming back. I haven't tried the food, however, next time I will and update this then. But, for now, five stars on service and beer selection!! We stayed one night at the Fairfield Inn & Suites which is about a 2 minute walk away. This restaurant is inside of the Sheraton and for being a hotel bar/grill, it is fairly decent. For a Saturday night at 10pm, it was fairly busy with about 10 people. They mainly only have Boulevard on tap and Smokestack bottles, which I can assume you would guess from the name of the place. They also had a few wine options and an okay selection of hard alcohol for drinks. We skipped the menu since we had already eaten, but it was nice to be able to catch up on some of our favorite local Boulevard brews. Service was decent. There was only one bartender so she was fairly busy, but there was really never a wait. They have plenty of tvs in the room and lots of booths as well as a separate bar section. It certainly isn't Power & Light, but it was a nice place to drink and chat for the night and even better since it was walking distance from our hotel. A good option if you are staying in one of the surrounding hotels, but certainly not a destination if you aren't. They do have a variety of specials each night. Saturdays were $3.00 Single Wide IPA drafts and $4 Smokestack Series bottles. read more

Only reason I'm here is because I have no transportation for the morning, and that's the only reason anyone should go here--if you're stuck. The breakfast buffet looked so-so; I should've gone with it. Instead, trying to save a few bucks because I'm not too hungry, I got pancakes and coffee. The pancakes must've been frozen from a package, because all 5 are identical in size and appearance, down to the pattern of browning around the edge. They're chewy and dry. The "syrup" seems like golden corn syrup; I detect no maple flavoring. The first coffee mug had crusty goo on the side. I'm a bit of a coffee snob, so I could go on about it's deficiencies, but I understand most people have lower expectations of coffee at a hotel restaurant. So, I'll just say that the flavor was decent and it was fairly strong, but it's not hot enough. I'm giving 2 stars in stead of 1 because the service was good and it's a hotel restaurant, so expectations should be low. read more

My friend and I went to drink margaritas before our flight back to Atlanta on 11/11/19. The waitress asked if we wanted Cuervo in our drinks. The drinks came back way to sweet, but the bill was not. I paid $35.69 for two margaritas. Ask before ordering anything what it cost you. Shame on them for taking advantage of people! Typical hotel food but at least it wasn't overpriced like most hotel restraints. My Omelette had several meat and veggie options and services was quick and pleasant. Even offered my wife and I to-go sodas after our meal. The downside during our visit was a bit remodel in the bar. The sound of the nail gun was annoying but tolerable. However the air compressor was really annoying. Had they moved it in a side room it would have been much less annoying. Not sure I'd come here for breakfast if I wasn't staying here. I'd give it 4-stars had it not been for the nail gun and air compressor. read more

The cleanliness and organization is nice, the staff is friendly, but the service needs improvement. The wait is long for drinks and for food. On top of that we don't get what we had ordered from condiments to water. The steak had too much fat content and very chewy. Just passing through in between flights but will not be back when the opportunity presents itself. read more

Ok the bad - waited 25 minutes to get a burger, only 10 people in the place. Burger came out with fries and the bartender said I ordered you some fresh fries - looks like he knew they were cold. Burger was awful, undercooked. Fresh fries were great. I live here and needed to eat before I flew out of town - but what a lousy impression this leaves on Boulevard. Got burger here to take to my nearby hotel. Burger was massive and quite good, though meat varied from pink to fully cooked (I'd asked for medium). Fries were good. But though I specifically asked if a fork was included in bag and was told it was (I ordered a side salad), there was no silverware or napkins. I did ask for ketchup and was given extra pockets of that as well as mustard and mayo. But salad is hard to eat without a fork! Such lack of attention to detail isn't promising. This restaurant is inside the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel by the Kansas City Airport. The food was good & they were open late. We were greeted promptly by a server but weren't quite ready to order. Then we were approached by the bartender (we think) and she took our order - she was very helpful in determining what to order. The original server was the person who brought us our food and additional condiment request. We got the sense that he was - not quite annoyed but not quite happy to help. The person who took our order was too busy to come back and check on us at all and it took my boyfriend a good 5 minutes of his standing at the bar to get her attention to pay the tab. I had waitressed for a number of years and wondered if this was an establishment that shared tips or not. It turns out it wasn't and I could understand the frustration of the first person and wondered why the bartender came out to take our order and the table next to us as well - when there were other people there to do it if she wasn't able to follow up with service other than taking the order. Anyway - the politics of the servers not entirely my concern - but we made sure to tip the original guy as well as the bartender. But I would recommend the bartender not come out from behind the bar to take an order if she isn't going to be able to actually attend to the tables. It's not fair on the other servers and definitely not fair to the patrons. read more

I hate to give this 1 star, because I have had an excellent experience at this establishment once before, with sliders, beer, and a super attentive bartender. This is what brought me to invite my friends all back with me. Boy, was my endorsement of this place an embarrassment to myself. Our waitress, Karrie, needs to either get her act together or get a new job to which she can be better suited. We ordered all of our food and beer at the same time (party of four). I ordered the sliders and buffalo wings, both of which are listed as starters, but I was ordering them as my meal. I got the buffalo wings 15 minutes before anyone else got anything.. okay? Then another member of my party received her meal (not to her order specifications) along with my sliders, while the other two still had nothing. The third sandwich comes out, way overdone, even the pickles were hot and the lettuce was burnt, like it'd been sitting under a warmer for a long time, and fries instead of the requested cole slaw. We had to send it back, and that guest did not get her correct meal (which looked like a completely different kind of sandwich when the right one came out) until an HOUR later! Allow me to quote Karrie, the waitress, "I mean, if it doesn't come out in, like, 2 minutes, we might as well just comp it." Like it's something totally out of man's control, like the weather. Well, if it doesn't stop raining, we might as well just comp it. We asked our waitress four times for silverware rolls, and at one point almost everyone's meals had been delivered (mind you, I've already had my food for 45 minutes now) but still no napkins or silverware. We eventually had to literally snatch some out of the hands of another waitress passing by. What is going on!? All of the dirty dishes sat in front of us for the remainder of our time there, and when the poor girl with the hour-late sandwich was trying to pay, Karrie simply never returned to run her card. Guess she didn't want to get paid. We left some cash. I have been a server and currently work in customer service, so I am not unsympathetic to restaurant employees by any means. But this was Restaurant 101 material, and you did not even come close to passing the class. I come to this hotel a lot, and I can't say I will return - and will be steering my colleagues clear as well. Oh, the beer is terrific, if you manage to get someone to bring it to you. read more

Ther is 1 bar tender working half the restaurant, one server on the other side. 4 different people standing around. I watch 4 parties walk in, sit for 10 min, no service, and leave (leaving 9 of us in the whole place). Food? Half my salad had translucent, old or frozen lettuce. ONLY saving grace... decent beer. I went to have a simple meal, before going to bed. Convenient because it's in the hotel. However I would walk, in the snow and rain to not have to eat here again. Service was excellent. The food..... AWFUL!! I ordered chicken strips, server recommended them! I love chicken strips! She said they're made in house, huge and delicious. I got those "tender shaped" chicken patties that you buy in the banquet section at the grocery store! What a disappointment! I certainly didn't eat them, but I paid for them because the server didn't know how to take them off and she was probably embarrassed. What a shame! read more

Waitress was horrible, and had a bit of an attitude when we became a little annoyed because they were out of several of the things we asked for. The food was okay. She messed up our bill and then tried to tell us Blue Moon was a "top shelf" beer and that's why it was $7 instead of the $3 it said on the menu. It's owned by MillerCoors.. Nothing top shelf about that! My dad asked her if she considered it to be a domestic or an import and she said it's neither it's Belgian. Ha! A large man sneezed loudly three times into the air so loud it echoed off the walls, and this is a huge room, so it takes a lot to echo. No effort taken to muffle or shield the sneeze. Wish I didn't have to give a star at all. Completely the worst service Iv ever experienced. It was obvious that it was a normal thing too. This place would not exist if it weren't for the attached hotel. It took over 1/2 hour to get a waitress to see us. After an hour and only one round, we left without getting dinner (as we planed). With three wait staff and only 7 tables seated it was ridiculous! All you could hear was every waitress apologizing to every table for the long wait every time they brought something over. The place was not busy and you didn't see a rush in anyone's attitude. Most of the time it appears all employees were in the back. Cooking maybe? Meh. Stayed here prior to a global entry interview at the airport. Had time to kill before shuttle and figured wed get our free drink(spg status) and an appetizer. The place smells really bad, not sure what it is, but it immediately killed my appetite. The onion rings just did not taste good at all, and I immediately regretted the calorie waste. The service was slow and unfriendly but it seemed like they were horribly understaffed so I dont think they can be blamed. I wish there was a no star option. I was extremely disappointed in this! It is attached to the Four Points Sheraton- which is a nice hotel- too pricey for what you get, but oh well. There were only two or three other tables when we arrived around 7:30 on a Saturday night. The service was arguably the worst service I have ever received. The drinks were very slow to come out, the food took forever and we got half our table's food then literally 10 minutes later got the other half. Salads came out after the meal, we had to ask for butter and sour cream for our baked potatoes. The hotel was obviously booked that weekend, as more tables came in after us. Tables that were seated after us got their drinks and food well before we were getting ours. At one point, the kitchen staff, manager and bartender came out of the kitchen to bring food and just stood there yelling what they were holding and waiting for someone to claim it. I couldn't believe how this was going! We had to ask three times for our tickets, then it took her at least another 20 minutes to get them. Half of our party had their cards run twice. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. We received vouchers for the breakfast buffet because we traded rooms because they were overbooked. Thank goodness we didn't have to pay for that- the eggs were runny and gross. There was fresh fruit- that was the best thing on the "buffet". We asked the server if there were other options she said "nope, this is a continental breakfast". Most hotels don't charge for continental breakfast. We had to keep asking for things- spoons, more beverages, more cereal, etc. It was awful. I would have thought that the hotel and the restaurant would be more closely in tune with each other- if the hotel is booked, then maybe staff the restaurant more accordingly. Under construction, dusty smell and messy. Waitress stinks, even across the room, you can smell the body odor. Staff is overwhelmed by merely 3 tables each and just throws the plates in front of you after a 40 minute wait. Salad comes at the same time as everything else. The kc strip tasted good. Arrived late but upon recommendation of hotel van driver-ordered Asian wings. We were offered both "meaty or flat" wings. Also ordered the chili after bartender Karrie endorsed it. The wings had great flavor but really the price was kinda high for wings. The chili was too very good but again, $ 7.50 for a small bowl of good chili but not as spicy as I care for. Now that jalapeño muffin served with the chili is better than my homemade. I don't know what everyone is all upset about. The service was very attentive. I got the blackened chicken club sandwich and it was delicious. I also had their daily beer special. I don't care who you are, a decent micro brew at a restaurant or bar for $3 or $4 is a steal. Bottom line: good food, good beer. This place is recommended. read more
