What can you say it's boulevard Pizza! Some of the best pizza in town. AKA the old Shakey's Pizza I love the atmosphere but still has that old pizza parlor feel. It's sad that they had to get rid of the salad bar but that's the way the world is now after COVID. It's nice that they still have a few arcade games. Among pizza restaurants this is an old dinosaur but it's a good dinosaur I don't want them to change anything regards to the product they have and the layout. I wouldn't mind seeing some old classic arcade games in there I think it would fit the bill perfectly but I understand everything is about ticket redemption now read more

First time we have eaten at this Pizza Place. Ordered our pizza and went to get a glass of wine and a beer. The bar is very large and they do offer a happy hour and have video poker to play. So we decided to have a drink and play video poker while we waited for our pizza. Which was all fine, but the bar we were enjoying the drinks had a sign out front before you enter, that clearly stated 21 only, due to cocktails and gambling. And while we were waiting for the pizza, a man with an infant crying entered the bar. And the bar keeper did nothing about this. I do think this is wrong when the sign before you enter, states no one under 21. Loved the great pizza and cheap drinks. Please enforce your bar area for 21 and over. read more

Highly disappointed in the pizza. There was absolutely no flavor for the Boulevard Combo pizza that I ordered. No taste in the pizza sauce, no flavor for the meats on the combo and the crust tasted like nothing. And no, tRumpPlague covid didn't kill my taste buds since I was able to taste the flavor of my iced tea. It wasn't me, it was the pizza. Plenty of parking, and a small arcade to enjoy. Bar is inside. Boulevard is the 4th of 13 local pizza joints I'm trying in order to find my new fave. As you can see - 5 stars...although there were a couple tiny things I thought needed improvements. Let's get those out of the way 1st. When I called to place my order the phone was answered w/ hello? Not Boulevard Pizza or something that made me know I was calling a business not an individual. The other thing - and it's also minor, is that I requested well done because I like the pepperonis a little crisp. It was not well done so I cooked a little more at home. On to the good stuff: Great crust. Crisp with corn meal on the bottom. Each bite crunched in my mouth but not like a cracker. Like an old fashioned pizza would. The cheese had a great flavor with a tiny bit of a salty taste at the end. Not bland at all. And although the pepperonis weren't burnt on the edges they still had great flavor. The sauce was robust but not overpowering. This pizza reminded me of when my grandpa used to take us kids out. I will definitely be back soon. Next time to dine in. read more

I have to update my post from 4 years back. I was so excited to go have pizza here. I don't get over here very often. The pizza is not at all the same. I started eating here 20+ years ago. The pizza tonight was completely different than I've ever had it. I actually sent it back thinking they forgot to cook it. The bell pepper onions and mushrooms were completely raw. The pepperoni was barely cooked. The crust was like a cracker. It was like a Papa Murphy's pizza. I don't even know what to think right now. After sending it back it was only slightly cooked. They told me that it was completely cooked the first time. Such a shame. I won't be back.As you can see from the picture there is zero grease on the pan. First visit here. Restaurant was clean, staff very friendly and food very good! Ordered a combo that included a large 2 topping pizza, wings and Rojo potatoes. Took about 30 minutes right at Noontime, not a problem. You order at the counter and they call your number when it's ready. Sat in bar area, they have 5 or so slots and tvs. Looked like a game area in the back of the main seating area for the kiddos, and a juke box. Food was delicious. Wings had just the right amount of sauce, potatoes crispy and pizza had a nice thin crust and good amount of toppings. Definitely recommend this place! read more

Not a really big fan of the pizza but I love the wings here and the bar! The pizza is a good pizza of you drink it with beer. It almost tastes like either Round Table or Shakey's, but the crust doesn't have the high yeast taste like Shakey's pizza. Now the wings are probably the best I have had in town. This is a great place to bring people of all ages. They have a play area for kids, pool table for adults and a really great bar. Very affordable and awesome if you are planning a large get together. Short version: Ew, no. Long version: We ordered from here last night because they're just around the corner and we figured it was worth a try. Their menu looked pretty solid and they were polite on the phone. When I got there they had forgotten to make my garlic bread, which was no big deal (I had to wait all of 5 minutes, I think), but they apologized some 15 times--a little over the top, but better that than apathy, right? Honestly the customer service is the only thing that gets them the second star ... ... because the food was godawful. The pizza was like ... gas station pizza. I don't know what's going on with that crust but it was like cardboard. The bottom was utterly flat, the flavor was nonexistent ... actually I've had better gas station pizza. The fried chicken was also bad. I will note that the chicken meat itself was fairly good, but in order to get through that you have to go through breading that, based on taste, is comprised entirely of sodium. The potatoes that came with the chicken were not *too* bad, but they were clearly fried in the same oil as everything else, so they were too salty and carried too many other flavors. Finally, the garlic bread--for which I waited--tasted like it was made with some kind of margarine-based spread. I'm just going to leave my critique at that. First time here and they had a huge birthday party going. We ordered our pizza large combo. With tomatoes added, the guy asked me if I wanted the tomatoes cooked I said yes.. we ordered at 222 pm we didn't get our pizza until after 3 pm. I went up to check and he was cutting our pizza. Iam 2 months pregnant and I was starving we got the cheese bread and drinks and sat down we watched the miners game and just ate the pizza. My husband said the ranch tasted strange and all the veggies were thrown on top of the pizza raw. Which was strange to me.. Boulevard Pizza a very popular place to go! But on the weekends like yesterday was a mess, when ordering our food the cashier informed us that it be 45min to wait for our order. The XL Boulevard Special pizza was the choice to get if your ever here, plus don't leave without an order of Rojo's (Thick cut of Potatoes) like chips. So after about an hour and fifteen minutes of waiting we got our order. But the one thing that was upsetting was when people came in about 15min after us and looked at the menu then ordered. But they got their food about 10min earlier then we did. Is it upsetting? Yes, but it could've been numerous things that could've happen. Overall tho Chucks Boulevard Pizza, is a great place to host a Birthday or any event I'm not gonna allow one issue to spoil me from coming back for more yummy pizza. I would highly recommend this local joint to everyone. It's a fantastic place to bring the whole family, the bar is sectioned off so your not bothered by the sights of loud or obnoxious people an the staff are pretty good at controlling things in there. The only issue I've found is that the restroom is not cleaned frequently, last night it seemed like someone had just finished smoking in there because you could still smell it like it was fresh. So if it was checked/cleaned hourly or frequently thered be no issues. Staff there too seem nice, but could come off kinda rude but it could be that they had a horrible day or night. But could still be welcoming or at least have a better customer service attitude. I witnessed one guy asking for something and the guy behind the counter seemed to be like not wanting to help or fulfill the customers request when it was only paper plates he was looking for. With 1967 beginnings as a franchised Shakey's pizzeria, family operated Boulevard Pizza is a Sparks institution. Having gone independent 20 years after opening, the menu has apparently changed very little over the last couple decades. It's the kind of picnic table, bring the whole team, community institution that generations of patrons revere and patronize. I hadn't been in that neighborhood for ages, so I figured it's about time. There's a full bar, air hockey and video games, salad bar, oven-toasted hero sandwiches, garlic and cheese breads, and a pretty standard selection of deep-fried bar appetizers. For dinner on a busy weekend evening, we had eyes only for pizza and chicken. I have to note that the staff operated like a well-oiled machine. I was really impressed with how efficiently they handled the dinner hour rush of dine-in and to-go orders. My three piece order of fried chicken and rojo potatoes ($5.95) consisted of marinated, deep-fried chicken parts coated in a lightly spicy blend of seasonings. The spuds were a little crispy and a little soft, which I generally enjoyed. The meat was moist, but there was a ton of hard, very crunchy coating. If you've got the dentition to tackle it, it's pretty good. I nearly broke a tooth. Chicken wings are available as Buffalo-style mild, medium, hot, and "insane", tangy barbecue, and local award-winning sweet/spicy Thai chili. We went with the Thai and Insane (two 5 piece orders for $5.45 each). Both were really crispy, though just a tad overcooked and dry. The hot wings were "guaranteed to burn twice", and definitely gave it a go. Not for the heat averse. The Thai wings are definitely deserving of accolades, with notes of chili paste, tamarind, and peanut sauce sprinkled with chopped garlic. An absolutely fantastic experience that bears repeating. Finally, we ordered four small specialty pies. The Boulevard combo ($12.65) was a pretty classic combination of red sauce, mozzarella, salami, pepperoni, ground beef, mild Italian sausage, mushroom, black olive, red onion and bell pepper ($11.85 sans onion and pepper). The crust and sauce really brought back childhood memories of Shakey's, a one-note, thin crispy-though-pliable crust with crunchy cracker edges, and basic marinara. Not remotely gourmet, and not trying to be. A classic example of, "If it works, don't fix it." The basil pesto medley ($11.85) combined basil pesto sauce, roasted chicken, garlic, red onion, bell pepper, mozzarella, and fresh, sliced tomato. Here the thin crust didn't have much assistance from the moisture of sauce or toppings, so it was just shy of being hardtack. Extra crunchy. There was just a hint of sauce--not much sense of basil--though the chicken was tender, and the veggie combo enjoyable. The Mexirito ($11.45), was topped with refried bean and picante sauce, ground beef, lettuce, tomato, mozzarella and cheddar, and sliced jalapeno. Pretty much a tostada on a slightly thicker, four tortilla. Ground beef is my least go-to topping, but this seasoned meat was actually pretty good. The leftover pie was even better at home with a dollop of sour cream and liberal dose of hot sauce. Saving the best for last, the Chuck's Special ($11.45) with mozzarella and cheddar, pepperoni, black olive, red onion, bell pepper, and jalapeno was pretty much perfect. I've never met Chuck, but based on this pie I'd say he's the kind of guy you'd like to share a beer and a slice with. Loved it. read more

This is the best thin-crust pizza in town and our goto pizza joint. The toppings are always fresh and the crust is firm and crispy. The atmosphere is relaxed and the owners are nice people. Tip: Order your pizza with extra sauce as they tend to go light on the red sauce. For the owner: I get a little nervous every time I am in there and see the folks in the back not wearing hats or nets. I am always dreading the time when I will find one of their loose hairs in my pizza (not to mention sweat). So far so good, but you should tighten that up a bit. read more

Blvd has become below avg pizza lost its magic even the rojo has 50% mojo. I posted pictures the crust reminds me of Costco it's plain flat and tasteless no corn meal crust. I asked for pizza well done this pepperoni is flat tasteless and boring. Even the cheese wasn't good, low quality, reminded me low fat and tasteless. 5 pc chicken was very small pcs and 1 pc was bloody. I got some money back. It's not cheap to eat here either, I don't see a return visit after this experience. read more

If you're looking for a pizza place that you can order, sit down at a table, relax and enjoy, this is your place. Typical pizza restaurant style with tables and places for teams, groups, etc. As to the pizza, it has real potential to be great and yet it is mediocre to good. I had a large combination pizza which is thin crust and has green peppers, onions, sausage, pepperoni, cheese, and they were very good. The sausage was made up of small pieces and were good but not exceptional. Why I say that this pizza has potential is this. Most pizza places have the same generic ingredients and way of making a pie. They make the dough, flatten it out, ladle some tomato sauce on it and spread it around as thin as they can get it to cover the pizza. They then do the same with the cheese. So, you wind up with a pizza with toppings but you don't taste the sauce or the sparse cheese. Pizza is a very high mark-up item. A large combo costs ~$29. The ingredients are not expensive. It would make sense to create something special with what they have. Put a decent amount of sauce on the pizza, put a decent amount of cheese on it, and when people buy it they're going to find it beyond the generic everyday pizza. You can see the cheese when biting into it, taste the sauce, etc. Spreading some more sausage would also help but not critical in view of the other toppings. What I'm saying is that this place has the potential to create and serve not just a passable pizza, but an exceptional one. Most recently I stopped by for their lunch special and it's a complete steal: I got a mini pizza for $2.49, a hero and salad for $3.79, and a foot-long garlic bread for 99 cents! If the mouth-watering pizza weren't enough, they have a full bar serving cold drafts as well as cocktails.
