Oh how I love The Blind Onion! In my early 20's, my girlfriends and I would pick up happy hour pizza or meet up for their happy hour on pitchers. I have fond memories with good friends and family at both Sparks locations. We'd get lost in a game and catching up over too many slices of pizza and laughs. We always ask for extra sides of honey and ranch at the table. My youngest usually won't eat crust, but he makes an exception for Blind Onion crust with honey. My kids requested a large pepperoni from here. My order was ready when it was promised and still warm when I picked it up on the way home. It was delicious and I forgot how good Blind onion is. The pizza dough was perfect. The younger gentleman that helped with my pick up order was friendly, welcoming and thanked me for coming in. There were a few bigger groups in there. The pizza is hands-down, the best i have had in town!! We often come for their happy hour deal for pizza and enjoy the staff so much they are so kind. My son wanted to paint a picture and have it posted up on the wall and they were so helpful to getting him the supplies and making sure he felt heard.. Scenery is great very clean. Stopped in for a super slice, their best deal yet! Two large slices of any topped pizza and a drink for a great price. Had the Honey Badger today, covered in pepperoni, onions, pineapple and finished off with a drizzle of honey; this one never disappoints. Me and my grandpa came to the Blind Onion for a nice pizza dinner and we definitely weren't disappointed! The interior of the pub is quite relaxing with a calm ambiance and tv's and has many different types of seating, from leather booths to wooden stools, and I love seating variety! The prices are always quite reasonable for the sizes of the pizza's and the wait isn't too bad, usually about 8-12 minutes or so. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan Pizza and it was very tasty, especially with the provided ranch! The pizza was warm, the meat was well cooked and the bread was delicious! We stopped inside because it was the night of Fourth of July and of course there's a bunch of trucks on the street and the lines were enormous, so we decided to hop in since this place didn't seem as busy! It wasn't much of a wait to get my order in and it took about 30 minutes, we had dinner and it was so good definitely recommend using honey as a condiment, and the marinara is so good! Good pizza but For me it was a little too doughy. Seemed to need a little more time in oven. We had the vegetarian with sausage and it had plenty of toppings which was fantastic! Would have loved to give 4 stars but that doughy crust was undercooked. The kid had two slices with bacon and chicken. She loved it. I had a great watermelon white ale. Finished appetizers at bar and headed home with pizza and cinnamon sticks. Opened up order and all items were undercooked. One pizza, Hawaiian, was requested with no onions. This was my first time coming here and it was a great experience! This location is spacious and the staff were attentive and courteous. We were seated within about 5 minutes for our party of 8, then went to the counter to order. We got 2 medium pizzas and the garlic chips. The pizza is so good - the crust and the toppings are top notch. We had the Honey Badger, which was the special for Sparks Food Week. The Honey Badger was delicious! The pizza is decent and the price used to be at the right point that reflected the qual of the pizza. the price is now that of really good gourmet pizza, but it isn't at all at that level. I was hungry so I got the pizza anyways. I then went to sent down and all empty tables were dirty. This baffles me why all the empty tables were dirty. they weren't busy. I sat down at a dirty table. The people who came in after also had to sit down at a dirty table. An employee only cleared the dirty dishes and wiled it down when he brought out my pizza. The same thing happened for the people who came in behind me. Even though their table was right next to mine, the employee only cleaned their table when their food was brought out even though he could clearly see their table was dirty when he brought out my food and cleaned my table. the rest of the dirty tables remained that way for the rest of my time there. I guess they don't feel the need to clean a table until a customer was sitting at it and they bring their food to them. The service there has really gone downhill and this restaurant is no longer worth going to. The pizza place across the street is priced about the same, but their pizza is better, but also not worth the price. if I decide to get overpriced pizza it won't be from blind onion. read more

The customer service at this location is always spot on, and the pizza is exactly the same as at the other Blind Onion locations. I came here early on a Friday night to place a takeaway order, and 30 minutes later, it was ready. When I placed the order at 6 pm, there was no line. When I returned at 6:30 pm, it was 15 people deep. Thankfully I was able to nab my takeaway pizza easily, and the two front desk people looked as calm and collected and friendly as they did when it was less crowded. I think this is the cheeriest Blind Onion location if you want to dine in, perhaps because it seems like the newest building of all their locations. Lots of open space, nice wood, good and lighting. Parking is tight because there's a lot of other restaurants in this corner of the plaza. I usually save myself the stress of navigating the tight turns in the dark and just park in the large open space and walk a little bit of a further distance rather than trying to get a very close parking space. The location is also a bit hidden, so if you're coming here for the first time, look for the Jalapeno's on the corner and the Panda Express opposite the Blind Onion. read more

One of the best pizza places in town. They're also linked to Wild Garlic so you won't go wrong with going to either place. The Blind onion locations all over Reno never disappoint. I got a few pizzas from them (ordered over the phone for pick up) and one of the pizzas was the Pizza of the month. I asked the kid on the phone to let me know what the ingredients were, I even had him repeat it. Unfortunately, he left out a really important topping... broccoli . To my disappointment, the person who grabbed the pizzas didn't check them but if they did then we would have had the pizza remade right there. Anyways, we ended up bringing it home and it was an instant bummer. I ended up calling and telling the manager that I would have definitely heard the ingredient of broccoli (it was a buffalo chicken macaroni pizza, why would you put broccoli?!) the manager had them make a new one, without the greens and was very apologetic and wanted to make sure that we were taken care of. Thank you guys very, very much. We really appreciate you trying to go above and beyond to fix it and the second pizza was absolute perfection. If it was bad service and a bad experience, I would not be sitting in this location right now, writing this review while waiting for my pizza. After ordering from the blond onion 3 times in less than two weeks I thought it was about time that I write a review. I've been making attempts to try different pizzas each time I order and have yet to be disappointed. I've tried the breath buster, Hawaiian, chicken parmasan, Greek and the General's. They were all delicious, but my favorite was the Greek with kalamata olives, artichoke hearts and sundried tomatos. I added Italian sausage! If you don't like crust these aren't the pizzas for you. They have a pretty thick outer edge of crust that takes us a considerable amount of the pie. I love it though especially with honey! These pizzas are pricy, but worth it in my opinion! read more

03/27/2023 - 7:47pm: Whoever is running the front register and, by default the restaurant, is much more concerned with closing up at 7:47pm then customer service. Half the bar is shut down, they only want you sitting in the front four (4) seats where you really cannot watch tv. Very clearly told that they have to mop and want to get it done before they close. Well, this is a great way to ensure that customers do not come back. Skip this place and go for Round Table where they make you feel welcome and understand customer service. Also, she mopped the entrance to the bathrooms at 8:40pm, so do I wait for this to dry or risk slipping and falling on my ass? Owners should spend some time explaining the concept of a positive customer experience. Honestly the pizza is great but the lack of basic customer service makes the experience terrible.
