Set up for an amazing bridal shower
Christiana D.

I can't rave enough about the quality service, food and ambiance Bourbon & Boots exudes! I hosted a wedding shower for 30 guests with the assistance of the incredible, professional and helpful GM, Rhiannon. Before arriving to decorate my event, the staff already had tables and table clothes ready. They took the guess work out of a very special occasion. Please try their brunch- eggs Benedict, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs and yogurt parfaits were delicious. Not to mention the most tasty breakfast potatoes I've ever tried. The waitresses and staff took amazing care of my large party! Especially Brianna, attentive, friendly and professional! If you have an event or just want a good drink with yummy food with a killer setting try Bourbon & Boots!

We were downtown doing some bar hopping and this was the last place we stopped. They had a DJ that was playing a good variety of music. Everyone danced and had a great time. There was a good selection of beer and drinks. The restroom was clean and there was plenty of seating for our group. The staff was friendly and attentive. If you are looking to just relax and have a good time then this place is for you.

40 min wait to get a beer for non busy day "disappointed"

So much potential yet so much disappoinment. Looks like a great renovation from the old Maloney's when you walk in but the service was horrible. The female bartender was working her butt off servicing the entire long bar table, cleaning tables, etc the other staff not so much. We came during a non-peak hour and it took 40 min to get service. Unfortunately it had a lot of hype but a lot of disappointment.

Entered the establishment with some hope was met with some resistance. The staff was not attentive at all! A large group went in after me and they catered to them but not my small group. It is clear they are all about the $$$. Perhaps some further training should be provided. Couldn't help feeling a certain race was given treatment prior to us. Unfortunate. Tons of potential here. Never got to try the food as service never came our way. Very small damce floor if your wondering. The Bar back could not even tell me what his favorite dish was. The restrooms were meh, kinda run down for a "renovated" bar. Feel free to see what I mean on attached photo. Left immediately to 505 courtyard and that was a far better choice. Only one street away to the west.

Bourbon & Boots just opened and has already impressed me. In all the cities I have lived in, I have never been in a bar with such a nice crowd and such good dancing! (I hear TX is a force to reckon with but I have never lived there). The staff was top notch and always friendly. The customers were so delightful and willing to swap dance partners or share moves. The bar is beautiful, small and intimate. Come early because they do reach capacity quick! I am not sure how often they will have music but during opening weekend night they had awesome live music. Looking forward to many more fun nights at Bourbon & Boots! Also, there are always food trucks out on central if you're looking to snag a bite before dancing your butt off!!

Food was ok. Prices not listed on the menu. Service was decent. Bourbon seemed a little over priced.

The server said they were going through a shift change when our order took over 30 minutes to arrive. But, that did not explain the long waits to be seated, to get out waters, to have our orders taken and to pay the bill. The nachos were great. Loaded with tons of meat, cheese and veggies. They were just the right amount and just the right level of spice. The salad was a salad. The tuna melt tasted like straight pickle juice. We are assuming this wasn't the normal recipe and that something must have gone wrong in the kitchen because most people couldn't eat this. We sure couldn't.

The host the looked up at me about a minute later and said directly... "can I help you?". Like I was lost or didn't belong there. I then responded if I could get a table. sat me down at a table. No silverware or glass of water or mention of who my waiter is. Waited 16 minutes for anyone to approach my table. I then ordered a drink and dinner. The drink came pretty timely but no napkin or coaster to put under glass. I mention this because I saw everyone else was served a drink like that. I then received my food BUT... still no silverware. I finished eating and the bus boy came by quickly to take away plate. No mention to me if I wanted to take it to go.... just took it away. I was then brought the check. Didn't ask if I wanted dessert which I did. I then mentioned it and the waitress crumpled the bill. Then brought dessert. The interaction with the employees made me feel uncomfortable and unwanted in the establishment. The food was decent. Not the best but better than average food. The ambience of the place was good. Many large TVs to watch sports.

My cousins and I enjoyed some drinks here when we first checked in and we also grabbed late dinner here on the last night of our stay. There is a tradeoff for convenience so don't expect too much of the food or service here. I can see why the waitress would be flustered while it's busy but she was just as flustered when we were the only guest around so I think it's just her personality. For dinner we shared the Spinach Dip ($9) which comes with toasted flatbread and tortilla chips. I really like that it comes with two different types of carbs to dip but then the spinach dip itself was tiny and you will easily have extra flatbread and chips in ratio to the dip. For our entrees my cousins had the Braised Beef Torta ($11) and one of the Taco entrees ($11-12). It seemed "okay". I had the Breaking Bad Salad ($14) which is probably the world's most unhealthy salad. It had spring mix and romaine, smoked bacon, pulled pork, cheddar jack cheese, chopped egg, tomato, cucumber and crispy fried onions. It was slightly overdressed and heavy for a salad, but an edible option. I'm glad the hotel had a restaurant and it was convenient. My low expectations were met and I survived the evening. 4 stars since we were in Albuquerque but it would be 3 stars in any other decent food scene.

The Copper Lounge had incredibly unique cocktails and the service was unmatched. We sat at the bar and were so impressed by the cocktail menu - what a creative concept! Cole and Taiya were behind the bar and did a phenomenal job in their craftsmanship but also as conversationalists! They deserve to be recognized. Not only did they work hard but they were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the spirits they were serving. We didn't try to food here, but several excellent cocktails that didn't disappoint! I hope for another trip back to ABQ so I can stop in and check out the latest inventive cocktails. The menu was listed as cast of characters/script, which was lots of fun. Our group was about 20 people, which I'm sure was a challenge, but our server was great and kept us all with full glasses and no waiting. There is a small parking lot with free parking. It was full by the time I got there, but it was easy and free to park on the street nearby. They had a great selection of local beer, wine and creative cocktails. Didn't really try the food but the drinks were great. Would definitely go back!

If you feel like leaving your boots at home, come in and watch your favorite sports team on one of our many TV's. First off this bar is very beautiful downtown. I remember the old Malone's, but the aesthetics inside are very modern and perfect for two stepping and sipping on good bourbon. I'm so excited that there is now country music in the heart of downtown ABQ. The drinks we tried this evening Miss M, Miss Lisa and Old Fashion. All of them were delicious, cold and fresh. Customer service was wonderful, I asked about the whiskeys and the bartenders were very knowledgeable and friendly. As of right now I have no complaints about Bourbon and boots and look forward to coming back and seeing some bands.

Why order food when you have just gone to Sam's club and bought a bunch of frozen shit and reheated it for your night. 3 stars because Sam's Club food isn't terrible. It's just lazy. The atmosphere feels like someone was dying to own a restaurant and forgot about making it cool. The tables and chairs seem cheep and corner cutting, but the bar, VIP room, and wood on the walls look great and took time. So if your looking for a place that makes you feel like you're "supporting local" but you're a fan of Chile's or Applebee's, then this is your spot.
