Happy hour menu as of 8.27.25. Ignore Friday/Saturday restrictions, it's every day they just haven't reprinted new menus yet

Fantastic Happy Hour, daily from 4-6. $2 tacos on Tuesday, good selection of TV's and the friendly staff will often turn on the audio for the game is you ask nicely. If you're downtown Walnut Creek and looking to kill a few hours, Bourbon Highway is an excellent option to grab some food and a couple drinks.

    Happiest hour!

I'm a local and I come for the happy hour 4-6. $6 - it's the best happy hour in the Creek. I can only speak on my experience which has been good every time. Their atmosphere is lively and like a dive bar. Sometimes the games are on too loud when there could be be country music playing instead but I think that depends on the day. I've had the chicken wings and they have been perfect every time- would say they're the best I've had - crispy and never undercooked. They have a LARGE selection of bourbons and a menu dedicated solely - and that's pretty cool so you don't have to be asking what everything costs!!! I usually leave before the karaoke and line dancing starts so I dk about the experience after happy hour

    Love island watch party viewsssss

Came for the Love Island watch party! We came within the happy hour window and it timed well with the episode starting at 6 pm :-) the staff was very friendly and helpful, and even though it got super crowded and our orders were getting mixed up, it was still an enjoyable time with the Love Island watchers. They even provided leis! How cute LOL. We got the appetizers and we devoured it while watching the show. The alcoholic drinks however did taste a little off I'm not sure what it was.

NOW OPEN FOR LUNCH!! Gonna be hard to make it to the office after this one

Fantastic place to visit! The burgers were top notch. The pulled pork was awesome! Great selection of bourbons and reasonable pricing! Jessica was awesome! Super friendly and did a great Manhatten! They just started opening for lunch. I will be back!!

This place looked super cool we were meeting some friends nearby so we decided to meet here, first you have to pay to park either on the street with quarters or card there is also a garage close. We arrived and it's super cute the owner was working alone she was nice we were lovin the vibes... The menu is small no vegetarian options except sides. They call themselves a "country kitchen" yet no southern foods on the menu. The food came out pretty but wasn't good at all everyone ordered bacon burgers but I didn't see bacon the fries were hard onion rings were bad salads were very expensive for just a bowl of lettuce. That said I still want to give them another try. I think they can get a better menu & cook. It really seems to be a drinking establishment the bar is well stocked and the drinks were good but the appetizer's weren't. I still think the lovely owner will get this place in order it's too cute not to. There is an upstairs dance hall with live music.

    Amazing fries & rings.

Fries are 5+ stars. Perfectly fried, professionally seasoned, & seem hand cut. I loved both the ketchup & the orange dipping sauce. I selected the slider combo because I couldn't decide on one sandwich. The pulled pork was my favorite but the spicy chicken was solid, as well. The hamburger felt a little like the girl that no one asks to dance because she's standing next to two bombshells. We ate it, don't get me wrong - it just had a tough time living up to the excellence of the other two sliders on the plate. I ordered an old fashioned, which was uncharacteristically perfumed with cinnamon but it does clearly state that on the menu & it was a nice side note to such a traditional cocktail. Some at our table ordered another round & got a very different but more traditional version. It must depend on who's bartending. We arrived at 6:30 on a Friday evening & our party of 8 was seated right away. Service was solid, even as the night got busier. Prices are up there but standard for WC & the atmosphere warrants that. We finished the night trying our best to learn the line dances upstairs but let's be honest, achy breaky heart was the only one simple enough for our goofy group to really grasp. We had fun trying though. Security is abundant here. I really appreciate that.

    Fish tacos

For me this is a 5 star. I don't eat meat but I heard the fish tacos were amazing! I had the Mac n cheese and it was decent... salt and pepper helps bring out the flavor it was a bit bland otherwise but I am excited to try a lot more food from here in the future. Service is semi slow even when it's totally empty but whatever. Water is self serve so that's easy u don't have to wait to get refills I like that. The staff is overall pretty nice. But my favorite of all about this place is the country dancing lessons! Ambiance is country rustic and fun and puts u in the mood to get down on that ho down. Or whatever they say. The lessons are free so it's not AMAZING amazing...but hey I have learned a few dances and it's def fun regardless! I look forward to going as often as I can as I always wanted to learnt he dances and get out there and have fun! Tuesday-Saturday lessons start at 8 wed r partner swing pretty awesome they have this available!! There's a few other places that offer lessons semi locally too. Excited to spend more time here :)

It was a cool feeling. With a 49ers game on Monday night, there isn't much activity. I arrived at happy hour, so everything went smoothly. The onion rings were tasty when I ate them. I spent under $20 on a beer and a margarita. I walked out feeling buzzed and full. Kristen was an excellent waitress.

Ask the Community - Bourbon Highway

Is the weekend cover charge cash only?

Is there line dancing on the weekends?? What time does it start?

Line Dancing Starts at 8pm Tuesday - Saturday Upstairs and Karaoke Downstairs 🎤

Was wondering if the live music is still going on tonight at six?

Hello Angela! Unfortunately, we are not having Live Music until further notice. Our hours are actually changing due to COVID-19. Please check out our Instagram page (@bourbonhighway) for more information!…

Does anyone know if they have an age restriction?

U can tell from the reviews that they serve alcohol and do an ID check. I'll soon have a chance to find out for myself, but that's what the reviews say now, and it's consistent with the business description.

    Do they serve dog?

    Sick.

Your website says happy hour from 4-6pm. Is that everyday and even the weekends?

It's now Tuesday thru Saturday from 4-6

Do u guys have ping pong too?

Yes they do - upstairs; but definitely limited space.

We started with the chips and salsa, and they were a great way to kick things off. The chips tasted fresh and were perfectly crispy. Both the red and green salsas had really good flavor without being overly spicy. We also ordered spicy margaritas, and the bartender definitely knew what they were doing. The drinks were well-balanced with just the right amount of heat. For our entrees, we ordered the burrito, carne plate, enchiladas, and the bee salad. The standout was definitely the carne--it was incredibly tender and practically melted in your mouth. It was cooked perfectly. The burrito was absolutely massive and packed with flavor, while the enchiladas tasted homemade and were comforting and delicious. Everyone at the table left happy. Overall, it was a great dining experience with delicious food, excellent drinks, and attentive service despite how busy they were. We'll definitely be back--especially because their brunch menu is next on our list!

A few menu tweaks, including seasoning, and they should be able to elevate their overall game on the backs of their strong staff.

For food, we shared the truffle fries, heirloom tomato and burrata, and chicken karaage. Every dish was delicious and full of flavor. A special shoutout to Chris and Luis, who provided exceptional service and made sure we left feeling completely satisfied. They truly made our experience even better. For a party of two, we ordered four drinks, two appetizers, and one salad, with the final tab coming to approximately $170. At that price point, I expect a noticeably stronger food experience, and unfortunately, this meal did not deliver. The service was a bright spot. The waitstaff was polite, professional, and attentive throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the food was where the experience fell short. The cauliflower and spicy tuna appetizers both had acceptable presentation, but the flavors and execution were disappointing. The ingredients did not seem particularly well balanced, and both dishes felt like they needed the chef to revisit the seasoning, composition, and overall preparation. Neither appetizer left an impression worth repeating. The Asian chicken salad had potential, but the quality and freshness of the ingredients kept it from standing out. A salad built around fresh, crisp ingredients should feel vibrant, yet this one came across as somewhat tired and lacking the freshness I would expect. Another point worth mentioning is the 20% gratuity that was automatically added to the bill. While I understand that some restaurants have automatic gratuity policies, it was unexpected for a party of two and felt somewhat excessive given the overall dining experience. I would have preferred that the policy be clearly communicated upfront. I typically include photos with my reviews, but the only photo I took on this visit was of the receipt, which probably says enough about how memorable the food was. Overall: The service was professional, but the food did not justify the approximately $170 price tag for two. There are plenty of restaurants where I would expect a more memorable and thoughtfully executed meal at this price point.

Observations: 1) The place is very small. They sit you outside in a very windy alley. The food gets cold within 5min or so. So capacity is very limited. 3) We ordered lemonade for kids. They serve it in short glasses filled with ice to the brim (despite our ask for "no ice"), effectively reducing the liquid volume. We paid $35 for lemonade. 4) Food is very uneventful, nothing was remarkable. Their gnocchi with meat resembled Chef Boyardee from back in college times. Not sure why this place felt so pretentious with really no substance to back it. With so many options around like Montecatini, Doppio Zero, Benvenuti, La Fontaine, etc, not sure how they are still in business. Definitely not recommended for families, and have a hard time figuring out what audience they cater to.
