Oh man! This update is LONG overdue. Sis and I went back for a round II a couple wks and all I can say is yay! Ellen was our server and a true delight but JUSTIN went above and beyond in showing us a great evening. Sister got the "Pie Felicia" drink. She likes cocktails that are sweet and this one was perfect. Neither of us wanted to waste calories w/ the lil cinnamon breadstick it comes with but the presentation was great. I got "The Last Word" a nice lil gin based cocktail that has orancini (sp?!). It's made by monks and made the drink pop. Idk. Justin tried to teach me the cool facts and now I'm not cool anymore bc I basically forgot them. :( We ordered the lamb shank - dear GOD so tender. Just wow. Get it. Life changing. Also got the mushrooms and truffle Mac. Tasty. The shrooms will def be my must order side from now on. Haha and some how there was a "mix-up" in the kitchen and we had the lobster pot pie sent to our table. Man. I loved the crust. Sister called dibs on the shank and I the pot pie. The lobster was tasty and they def don't skimp but I'd say this is an entree to order if you want a lighter meal. I know. Sounds absurd to say a pot pie is "light" but at a steak place you kinda get it makes sense. Last but not least ended the night with a "Home Wrecker". Haha it's a lil too stiff of a drink for me. The gold flakes that floated in it def made me wonder how many guys order this drink on date night w/ their side piece... but that's none of my business lol! All in all will def be back. We came here for my sister in law's birthday party. It was a huge party, and we got a nice, long table in the back. Not the private room, but still very, very good. The staff was very attentive and the atmoshere and temp was nice. It's very pricey, but the food is pretty and tasty. I ordered the Delmonico, rib eye, medium rare. Great job, chef! I've had one negative or lukewarm experience with Bourbon Steak before and decided to give it another shot. I wanted to try their new burger bar thing, $40 for a salad, burger, fries, and dessert. Sounded like a good deal. I ordered... went to pick it up. No curbside pick up or anywhere to park.... I tried calling but no one picked up. Walked in and it seems like they've been hit hard by covid... skeleton crew, only saw one person in there. She was nice enough... My order didn't have utensils in it for some reason? She had to run back to get it. Seems... a little disorganized. The food. I got the Truffle Caesar Salad, Black Truffle Steak Burger, Duck Fat Fries, and a Bourbon Bar. The salad was very tart. It had shavings of Parmesan and bread crumbs which gave a nice bit of crunch in addition to the crunch of the greens. Truffle flavor is very light and delicate (barely there). The vinaigrette definitely overpowers it. I think overall, the salad is unballanced and is just too tart. Also... eating it in a car is not easy lol. The fries! There was a smoky smoky dip for the fries. Not sure what it was. Smoky and sweet slightly bitter and also has a little bit of tartness to it. apple sauce? I'm guessing that was supposed to be a bbq sauce of some sort. The redder sauce / brighter one. Tastes of something I can't really place. kind of sweet. The truffle aoli sauce at least had a big truffle presence. It was very heavy and creamy. Probably my favorite of the sauces. The only thing that I really enjoyed. The burger is a little dry. It was pretty sweet and some parts were salty. There was not much truffle to it. The bun is very light. caramelized onions and cheese are very gooey I'm almost reduced to a cream. Overall it feels overly dry overly salty unbalanced and not enjoyable. The cheese and onions are just... like a thick cream that coats the mouth... Definitely needed something to wash it down. The description makes it sound so much better than it actually was "Black truffle camembert, caramelized french onion fondue, truffle butter, toasted sweet potato brioche bun." eh. Finally dessert. The bourbon bar was very thick. Luscious chocolate and caramel provided a salty and sweet. The malt powder provides an interesting bit of texture. Not too sweet. Very salty. Whipped mousse perhaps a little reminiscent of a milky way bar. Overall this was alright but there were so many different components for such a small thing. (malt powder, pretzels ect.). I was disappointed yet again. I talked to some friends recently and we've just come to the conclusion that fancy burgers just ain't all that. There's only so much you can do to a burger and it doesn't get better than the classic cheeseburger. read more

If you like a perfect steak try their ribeye cap-Just perfectly sumptuous. We like getting the creamy horseradish, bernaise and chimchurri sauces on the side. Gabriel -the chef- takes great pride in creating a fantastic dining experience. Try the duck eggrolls, their wedge salad, any of their sides will compliment any meal. PJ is a wonderful food server & goes out of his way to make sure your evening is perfect. Their staff is the best. Blake & Nathan at the bar are professionals and stir a mean cocktail. Had a hard time finding valet and missed it on Caruso Ave off Brand (on the corner of Sur La Table). So instead we looped around and parked at the Americana, and had quite the walk. At least Bourbon validates parking. Our waitress Ellen was phenomenal the whole night! We started off with the complementary fries and I ordered a classic margarita. As an appetizer we shared the duck spring rolls. For our meals, my husband had the fillet mignon and I ordered the large tiger prawns. On the side we had the mac & cheese. DUCK FAT FRENCH FRIES [5 stars] These might be my favorite fry ever. Crisped to perfection & the sauce trio was great. The aioli sauce was my favorite. Perfect shareable plate for two MARGARITA [5 stars] Can't go wrong with a classic margarita DUCK SPRING ROLLS [3 stars] Wasn't the biggest fan of these spring rolls. The garnish overpowered the flavor of the duck. The texture was great but not flavorful enough even with the side sauce added. Would have been great with a sweet chili Thai sauce instead. FILET MIGNON [5 stars] Perfectly seasoned & cooked medium steak. Options for different side sauces. We ordered the chimichurri which was okay. Could have gone without it the steak was so excellent. They have a great wine selection along with specialized cocktails, and appetizers. I ordered a Cowboy and it was cooked perfectly, the seafood app was a tower of joy! My sides were also amazing. She deserves all the praise for my 5 star rating. She went above and beyond with her service. She was beyond attentive, patient, and accommodating. We ordered two cocktails, one appetizer, one entree and one side dish. Duck fat trio fries was complimentary. 1. Complimentary fries is ALWAYS super yummy. Adobo, dill, and Parmesan? Each fry came with a different dipping sauce and they were all equally delicious. 2. Tuna tartare - this was very tasty. The tuna was super buttery and the seasoning was I could probably do without this one for our next visit. 3. 16 oz ribeye - we asked for medium well but unfortunately it was slightly over cooked - more on the well side BUT it was still tasty and Desirae came out with complimentary house made sauces for us which completed the steak. 4. Truffle Mac n cheese - I love the spiral pasta they use for this dish and it came out perfectly cheesy 5. Birthday dessert along with Desirae's favorite which was a gold crusted sundae thing that had vanilla ice cream, molten lava cake, whipped cream - this thing was absolutely perfect. 6. My boyfriend and I came here for our two-year anniversary last month. We came last year for our anniversary as well. The amazing service and delicious food are why we always come back. PJ, our very attentive waiter, would give excellent recommendations while constantly checking in on us. But it wasn't only PJ who would make sure we were taken care of, the rest of the staff would be more than happy if we asked for more drinks or napkins. Other restaurants we would go to would have other waiters say they would bring back our server, but not Bourbon steak. One waiter even noticed that we had a question even though we never waived him down. I don't think I've seen more attentive staff than here. Not only is the staff amazing, but the food is mouth-watering. I always manage to take leftovers home but finish them later that night. The meat is cooked just how I like it, medium. The sides are also packed with flavor. And those duck fat fries? YUM! I couldn't get enough of them. The drinks are delicious as well. I would ask the waiter for recommendations, because PJ would be spot-on every time I would ask for a type of drink I was looking for. Make sure that you have a ride home though, because these drinks can pack a punch and are not watered down. Overall, Bourbon steak is perfect for a night out with romantic/more classy vibes. Came here for my sorority initiation anniversary with my line sisters. We rented out the private room and it was such a great experience. The staff was super nice and attentive, especially our assigned server (forgot his name ‍). We had a pre fixe menu due to our party size and the food was delicious! I was expecting more from the truffle mac and cheese though. It was okay but not incredible. I wouldn't order it again and I'm lactose intolerant, so it's not worth the bathroom trip and bloating. The duck fat fries were my favorite! They served us three different seasonings on them with accompanying sauces for each. Our menu offered steak, a vegetarian pasta or salmon for our main protein. So amazing!!! First, I made the reservation with Ross. He remembered that my wife and I had our rehearsal dinner there last year. He got me the table I wanted and when we walked in, Bella greeted us with the biggest smile. That was just the beginning. A few minutes after being seated, we met Charles and he was so excited to be our server. He knew all about our story, and he made sure to get things started right. Next thing we know, Angela (one of the managers) comes over and greets us with champagne. She was so sweet and kind. I mean, everyone was, really. Matt, one of the floor captains, made sure to come talk to us too. It was all hands on deck with incredible service. The food was amazingly delicious too. You don't get bad food here, but everything was extra tasty tonight. The live music was the perfect ambiance, the dim lighting...everything. Later, Matt came back and asked our favorite kinds of dessert and then, out came the two desserts (a sundae and chocolate peanut butter cake)..And then later in the night, Ross came over and hung out with us for a bit. It the was the perfect ending to our night talking with him. We made sure to thank Charles again before we left, because he was so incredibly thoughtful. We've seen this place and driven by it so many time but what made us want to try it is we saw chef Michael Mina on an episode of master chef legends and they mentioned that bourbon steak was one of his restaurants so we figured why not, let's check it out! The complimentary duck fat fries at the beginning was also a great touch. We ordered: Smoked pork belly: the pork was so juicy and perfectly cooked, the smoky flavor was delicious and the maitake tempura with the Napa cabbage salad was such a perfect mix of sweet, salty and acidity Braised angus short rib: loved it!! The short rib was so soft an felt apart easily. The charred celery root purée was amazing and combined with the truffle jus and short rib all in one bite was so goooood! 16oz prime delmonico rib eye: this rib eye was cooked so perfectly, it just sort of melted in your mouth as you ate it. The little fatty pieces mixed with the meat was so juicy! Definitely one of the best steaks I've had. Truffle Mac and cheese: I LOVE truffle and omg you can really taste the truffle in this and it was delicious!! For dessert we got the 24k molten chocolate cake sundae. They cracked the top shell table side. This dessert had everything, it was warm, crunchy, cold, fruity and the perfect amount of sweetness. It wasn't overly sweet and when you get each layer together into one whole bite it was like a dream. They also gave us a free little chocolate tart for his birthday! My wife and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary and had an amazing time! We were well taken care of throughout, and the night was very special. It was our first time dining out since Covid too. The hostess Carolyn, and our server Ariel were the absolute best. Carolyn gave us a warm welcome and made sure we'd feel comfortable at our table, and even stopped by to check on us a few times after. Ariel had us taken care of throughout our dinner, was very kind and friendly, and helpful in answering any questions about the menu, all of which she described perfectly. She went above and beyond to even answer our questions about lilet blanc at the end. We felt safe and really appreciated the social distance between each table. Everyone wore masks and the servers and bussers all wore face shields as well. As annoying as they are to wear, the safety is appreciated from the other side. This is definitely a place taking pandemic precautions seriously. And of course the food was on point. We had a whiskey flight (around the world) to share which we very much enjoyed. The duck fat fries and dipping sauces are scary good. The ahi appetizer was very refreshing and tasty, as were the cocktails we had (lucky lindy). Black truffle Mac and cheese was delicious, but rich (more creamy than cheesy), so don't expect to finish it all unless your sharing with multiple people. Our steaks were the highlight, particularly mine. I got the European Wagyu and my wife got the fillet mignon. Nothing was wrong with the fillet by any means, but just get the wagyu...trust me. Ariel brought us the special banana puff pastry dessert for our anniversary and we were blown away. The bourbon caramel sauce on that vanilla ice cream over the bananas were "out of this world" good. Bourbon Steak is an outstanding restaurant in the Americana Mall (where you will park). You enter from the street. I took my brother and family here while visiting--definitely a nice place for special occasions. The restaurant has an elegant, upscale interior. They have some comfortable booths--but we were seated at a table. It was interesting when we sat down they asked us for a choice of a black tablecloth (we stuck with white). Service was outstanding. They start out by offering french fries which I found unique. There were three kinds and all were tasty, with some nice sauces. Be careful not to fill up on those. They also provide a complementary bread roll that is very good along with some super truffle butter. The wine list is great--but most are really pricey. For an appetizer, we had the charred octopus. The Octupus was good, but I was not a big fan of the potatoes (of which it seems like there were a lot--between that and the fries, they must get a good deal on potatoes). For the main dish, I had the Delmonico Ribeye medium rare. For side dishes, we ordered the mushrooms, potato latke, and truffle mac and cheese. The ribeye was excellent and cooked perfectly. My nephew got the cowboy ribeye and he really loved it. The mushrooms complemented the steak perfectly--some of the best mushrooms I have ever had. The latke was also really delicious, although the serving size was not great. The mac and cheese was OK. My brother ordered the lobster pot pie. The presentation of this was really interesting--they do this table side, first cutting off the top and putting this on plate, then re-assembling the lobster on top of it. The vegetables are then put on top of that. I tried some of the lobster and it was fantastic. We split some of the desserts. My favorite was the coconut panna cotta that came with some nice fresh fruit. I also like the creme brulee--which a great shell. The sundae was spectacular, but I am not a fan of coffee ice cream. The drinks were phenomenal! The assortment of fries came shortly after the drinks. Those are one of my favorite fries! However, this time it was very salty. We ordered Michael's Ahi Tartar appetizer, also got the A5 Wagyu Ragu, and got the 16 Oz Rib eye to share! I kept asking before ordering the ragu to make sure it doesn't taste like pancetta and is more meat tasting instead. The waiter said you couldn't taste the pancetta. The Ahi Tartar was made table side which was great to see. However, it wasn't good. I was very disappointed in the taste and flavor. The bread it came with wasn't even that great. I took one bite and then didn't eat anymore. The ragu came out and it was Very disappointing. It had a weird taste as well. Thankfully, the waiter took it back because we just didn't like it at all. The Rib eye however was Phenomenal, as always! Super tender and amazing. They brought my husband a small dessert for his bday, which was nice. My first introduction to Bourbon Steak was through the Yelp Elite Squad - my first event ever! I was pretty sure the follow-up experiences could not match the 6-course meal we were served that day. But, I am pleased to say that 5 years later, Bourbon Steak is still serving pure excellence. I wanted to save my return for a special occasion, and this evening we had a lot to celebrate! I made a reservation about half an hour beforehand - I admit I was cutting it too close and would advise a day or two advanced notice. We were seated promptly upon arrival in the back dining hall, which is just luxurious and grand, giving you a 360 view of the restaurant. Prior to placing any orders, you get a trio of fries on the house - pastrami, truffled parmesan, and pickle(?). I liked the truffled fries best! We started with a salad - quinoa and freekeh, which was packed with loads of antioxidants. The kale was fresh and crunchy and the hazelnut and dates really added a nice boost of flavor here. I enjoyed a center cut filet mignon (medium-rare - although it was more medium than rare, it's ok), and shared a market side: asparagus, preserved lemon gremolata. The vegetables were a nice balance. For dessert, we indulged in the coconut pannacotta with citrus fruit and seasonal sorbet (lime flavored) - ugh total perfection (please don't pass it up)! We were treated to their signature root beer float, and although I am not a fan of root beer per say, it was well presented and refreshing. Their wine list had me in heaven! I had a delicious Argentinian Malbec, La Rioja from Spain, and an Italian Moscato for dessert. Honorable mention to our waiter who was such a gentleman. Fine dining at its best. Superb service from PJ and the food - taste and portions were on point. The wedge, Delmonico rib eye, Wagyu Ragu, Black truffle Mac, crispy potato, ube cheesecake and Mexican Cream Brûlée highly recommended. Love that you give fries Duck fat trio fries instead of bread. Felt amazing to be able to have dinner at a restaurant again! We celebrated my husband's birthday and the staff was great. I made the reservation through OpenTable and was seated right away upon arrival. Servers wear masks, gloves and face shields. My only complaint is some of the guests are rude and arrogant but that's not the restaurant's fault. The food was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! We ordered filet mignon and NY ribeye. We will definitely eat here again! read more
