Wonderful experience here at Bourbon during our stay at the Waldorf. The ambiance was excellent. The staff were attentive. The service was superb. Shoutout to Gio! We ate outside on the balcony with ocean view which was extraordinary. We started off with chef's complimentary fries trio platter and bread service. Honestly, we were already feeling kinda full then, but then the food came. We ordered the angus New York strip, whole branzino, truffle mac and cheese, and Brussel sprouts. All were super delicious! Steak cooked to perfection, crispy fish skin, succulent Brussel sprouts, cheesy but not too cheesy mac n cheese. What's not to love? Plenty of seating. Parking is valet which I think is $15 if you validate.

We came here as a party of eight for dinner, and oh my gosh, we ordered so much food! 2- tomahawk steaks, a Black Angus filet, toro, wagyu fried rice, creamed spinach, Caesar salad, Wagyu carpaccio... honestly, I can't even remember everything just look at my photos...hahaa Our steaks were cut up for us at the table, and the presentation was absolutely perfect. Everyone really enjoyed their food my friends were obsessed with the tomahawk steaks. I don't eat steak myself, but I loved everything else we tried. We also got the basque cheesecake, and oh my God, it was amazing. The complimentary fries with different dipping sauces were so good, and the bread with butter melted in your mouth...mmmm! Thomas, our server, was fantastic. You can tell the staff really pay attention to detail, and if anything goes wrong, they own up to it and make it right. Minor mix up and they took care of us. Our bill was definitely on the higher side, but it was a well-deserved celebration, and every bite was worth it. We've been here several times, and it's always been a great experience. All in all, it's a very nice, upscale spot perfect for dinner dates, business dinners, or a special night out. The ambiance is welcoming, and being inside the Waldorf Astoria Hotel makes it feel extra fancy.

We had a lovely time dining at Bourbon steak. First of all the entire staff was lovely even down to the fact that they validate parking at the hotel for you. The menu may be expensive, but there are a lot of perks. The view is astounding. The service is incredible. The food is delicious and they also give you a few freebies like fries three ways (believe pastrami, dill and garlic - all great) and a truffle bread. Highly recommend.

Beautiful caviar service, almost a meal in itself

Despite its 3 million residents, Orange County succinctly lacks many high end special occasion restaurants. There are a few exceptions, and this is one of them. It is gratifying to sit down and see the professionalism of the front here. Luis, our waiter, walked us through the menu, including one of the best wine lists. We ended up having caviar, oysters, a nice sea bass and four stellar sides, including the Brussels sprouts (a must order). Everything was perfectly presented and plated! One of best dining experiences and made my daughter's birthday special!!!! My highest recommendation

We were staying the weekend at the Waldorf and we wanted to try fancy Bourbon Steak House. Everything about Waldorf was customer service and luxury! If the weather is nice, ask for the patio. During sunset, the view is breathtaking! We had some time before our reservation so we had a drink at the lobby bar right next to Bourbon, the seating is so comfy and the drinks are top quality. I'm not a steak person at all but my man is and he was very impressed! I'm a side dish type of girl and everything was so delicious. The fries at the start with the sauces - yum!! Wine was great too. Our server was so attentive and gave great suggestions. He always came around with a smile and asked if we needed anything. Our view was so beautiful. They gave us a cute plate with chocolates that said Happy Anniversary. The place made quite an impression on us and we plan to go back to have a family dinner.

This place is AMAZING. You can NEVER go wrong here. Love the view, the food and the presentations, very sophisticated and my husband and son both really love this place as well. The service is on point, and the waiters are all just wonderful. Bartender has a great taste in fashion, and he is really good at what he does. Please try this place if you've never tried. You won't be disappointed.

Located inside the Waldorf Hotel, go straight inside and make a left! They do valet parking for $10. We had a reservation at 6:30pm for Christmas dinner and were seated just within a few minutes. Service was excellent and we couldn't ask for better. They were constantly checking in on us. We had the Christmas menu for about $205 per person. Interior is classic and beautiful, they have different wine bottles/alcohol displayed on the glass shelves. Fries dipped in different sauces (ketchup, truffle sauce, onion dip) were all 10/10. Truffle spring rolls were actually really delicious, 9/10. Ahi tartare was okay, I would rate 7/10. For our entrees, I had the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly and came with a baked potato and tomato. The way they cooked the tomato was delicious as well, never seen anything like it before. My boyfriend had the ribeye also paired with the potato and tomato but he says some parts of the steak were too hard and chewy. For dessert, we had cheesecake which was wonderful 10/10 and butterscotch beignets which were too chewy and dry, it was difficult to finish, although the butterscotch dip was amazing. This is a perfect place to go to for a nice dinner and I loved that they were open on Christmas!

I love sitting at the bar at Bourbon and always meet really interesting people. The servers are very accommodating, and I love their brussels sprouts. It's a fun vibe even on a Sunday night! They give you free fries if you or a good customer! They're trying to fatten everyone up, lol

We came on a Friday night with 5:30 reservations. Was originally going to be seated at a booth by the bar but requested to be in the main dining room where there was less thoroughfare. Our server was thorough and provided great explanation and recommendations of the menu. Food: I had the 45 dry aged steak which had fantastic flavor but it was a bit more chewy than the Delmonico steak my friend had. They offer complimentary trio of fries with dipping sauce and a truffle butter roll which was both delicious. Beverage: the army navy new style was delicious! I was glad they had a variety of nonalcoholic options that were not mocktails since my friend doesn't drink. Parking: make sure to validate as parking is reduced to $10 vs $30 It got noisy when more people arrived. However a great place to have a special dinner as this place is pricey and you get what you pay for

This is the fanciest steakhouse I've ever been to in my entire life. It's inside the resort.. I don't remember the name of the resort though. I made a reservation for 530 so we can watch the sunset but it was gloomy :( The food made up for it though Honestly my favorite was the garlic brioche truffle bread, it was DELIGHTFUL. I would've been down to eat that for my whole meal honestly. Also the complimentary fries are fried in duck fat and they give you 3 different flavors of fries and dipping sauce! I hate to say that these 2 were my favorite but they were.. I got ceasar salad, blue crab pasta, and a 6oz a5 Wagyu steak. The salad is deconstructed and not tossed and I did enjoy the taste but not the mess it made. The blue crab pasta was delicious! But then it started getting too fishy for my taste and I couldn't finish it. The chili crisp on top really made it so much better. I could NOOTTTTT eat the steak Omygod I wanted to THROW up. It's not the steak, it's me. I forgot how much I disliked the texture of Wagyu and I made a mistake agreeing to share the Wagyu cus I had to eat most of it and I didn't want to waste it cus it was expensive but damn I'm sorry !!' Wagyu is NOT for me! Service was excellent, as expected from a fine dining restaurant and I particularly liked the still bottled water they served. Thank you for the experience, I'm sure I would've enjoyed that steak in another lifetime

My wife brought me here for dinner last night and we had a wonderful time. Located in the Waldorf, this restaurant is a vibe. We came around sunset and were seated on the patio, which I highly recommend doing if you visit (also make a reservation because this place gets very busy). Service was amazing here, probably the best service for any steakhouse I've been to in OC. The staff were super friendly and made excellent recommendations throughout the entire meal. I also appreciated the birthday treats at the end of the meal which were a pleasant surprise. On the food front, there were a lot of great things - loved the grilled branzino, mac & cheese, oysters, loaded baked potato, and house bread with butter inside it. The rib eye filet was good, but slightly overcooked ( I also expected something with a bit more marbling given it was considered "wagyu", so that was a letdown). While I appreciated the French fries at the start of the meal for their creativity, they were a bit overcooked and dry. Overall there was a lot of good, but still a few misses. Definitely one of the better steakhouses in OC, especially for the service and ambiance. I'd absolutely come back to try other items, and recommend this place if you're looking for a good spot for a celebratory meal.

Wonderful location and view in the evening especially if there's a sunset over Catalina. We come here every year to celebrate our anniversary. Food was prepared well and the quality was excellent -- except for the shrimp (our waiter was kind enough to deduct that from our bill since my wife couldn't eat it). It was a little tough and had an off (very fishy) taste. The other dishes were excellent including the sea bass and filet mignon. Brussels sprouts and carrots were delicious. The complimentary fries and sauces are a nice touch. Dinner rolls are also delicious. Wine list is very good with plenty of selections. Prices are a little even for a high-end steakhouse. If you order steak, they sometimes tend to overcook it (I ordered medium rare but it was medium well). The biggest issue is that there are no restrooms inside the restaurant. You have to walk out into the hotel corridor down the hallways into the conference room area. Service as always was top notch. All waiters were friendly and helpful. Chocolate peanut butter bar was amazing.

    No they dont

    Are jeans ok to wear?

Yes, we saw plenty of people wearing Jeans.

Can someone confirm they have vegan options for a main course? I know a couple reviews say so, but the menu doesn't not show anything but maybe salads.

When I've been there, the menu is impressive with MEAT dishes, as that's their specialty. The menu is online, but remember, the prices there are higher than elsewhere. And if you are going to a "steak" place looking for good vegan alternatives, I'd…

What's the weight of the Ribeye Trio? We are planning dinner for 6 adults so want to know how to order steaks. Any thoughts?

I would not recommend ordering the trio it's a waste of money. Order an individual steak and your much better off.

I had talked with the hosts before hand and wanted to drop some decor off before and come back a little early so I could set it up before my sister & her fiancé arrived. I arrived early and they had the table set BEAUTIFULLY! There was a long table right next to the window with white table clothes, flowers and candles all across. I had just dropped off some flowers but they made it look even better. Our server Bryn was the sweetest and cutest girl ever. She was on top of everything even with our large and crazy group The couple got free champagne and desserts, she came out with sparklers and made it such a special night overall. We will for sure be back and definitely will be requesting Bryn!

They are a week apart so we combined them. Very sneaky spot because it is not visible like a regular restaurant, but that just adds to the ambiance. Had reservations at 8 PM and our seats were on the second floor where we had a view of the wonderful sunset. We were seated in a both that fits 6, but it was better because the food was spaced out nicely on the table for easy access. My wife tried the Lady Luck cocktail which has vodka and others very a very tasty drink. We ordered the party house dinner rolls that that were ok. We also got the Lobster Crab Mac n Cheese. OMG this was so good. The melt cheese, the chunks of crab and chunks lobster made this an exquisite item to eat. We could not stop talking about how good it was. It also had cheese crated over the top as well. Lastly we got the Executive platter which is a collection of steak that the chef chooses. Our platter had filet mignon, 40 day dry aged New York Strip, and a 35 day dry aged Ribeye. All three were fantastic. We could not stop gushing over the ribeye and how well it was prepared and tasted. The steaks were all seasoned to perfection and did not require anything added to them . They also serve them with 3 sauces, but they are not needed at all. They also brought us small dessert for our birthday which was scoops of ice cream, but we were so full that we could not eat all of them. This place is worth the price and the staff and management were great. Special thanks to Daren. But special thanks to the tall slender gentleman who helped us. I ended up getting the Caesar salad, which comes with lemon, fried anchovy, and a ton of pecorino, and they were not kidding about the pecorino. It was literally like a blanket over the whole thing. But this Caesar was probably one of the best I've ever had. It was so good I literally didn't share it with anybody, I was like nope, I'm eating this whole thing by myself. The flavor, the pepper, the anchovies, the lemon, everything was so perfectly balanced. Even the waitress was super sweet and told me if I needed a salad, as basic as it sounds, the Caesar is the go to. She was absolutely right, phenomenal salad. We also got the beef marrow tartare dip thing that came with potato chips. It was good, nothing too crazy to say about it honestly. The Parker House rolls though, those we got as a side and they came out buttery, juicy, and just really good. The truffle came right through, these were phenomenal and absolutely a must have to go along with that Caesar. Then there's the bacon, which sounds crazy, it's literally just called bacon and it's this fat thick four inch slab, one single piece, and it was so so so good. I was absolutely shocked by it. For my main I went with the forty day dry aged bone in New York strip. It was pretty dang good, wouldn't say I was completely blown away, but I have a hard time with steak places in general because I always compare them to how I make a steak at home, and I still think I can make a better one myself. That said, this was very good, great crunch and crisp on the edge, those nice burnt increased edges, seasoned perfectly, and a spot on medium rare, so no complaints there. For sixty bucks though I just have a hard time paying for it, even if it was very good. The one that stole the whole night, hands down and by far, was the dessert. I don't remember what it was called but it was like this pancake ice cream, buttery, gooey, delicious, light and airy heaven. I literally apologized at the table and said I'm going to eat this entire thing, and I did just that. It was awesome. The ambiance and decoration of this place is straight up fine dining, you can feel and see it, and they even have actual dry aged beef ribs on display which is really cool. Not bad at all. I'd recommend it as a high end spot, just not somewhere I'd go consistently since I can do better at home. But that dessert dish, whatever the heck it was, I would go back for that alone. Best dish of the night for sure.
