Bourbon chicken, bbq chicken, plantain, rice
    Hillary B.

Solid cheap Chinese food. They reeled me in with the free samples. I like that they allow you to try the meats before you buy them. They really heaped the food onto my plate. 1 order is enough to share between 2 people. I don't recommend their plantain. It's very greasy and mushed together. Everything else was solid

Mushy rice with greasy orange chicken

GROOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! I ordered the orange chicken with rice. The chicken was swimming in disgusting orange grease with 0 flavor. The rice was one big mush with 0 flavor. Stay away, unless nastiness is you thing.

I totally wish we went to Grand Lux instead. Shame on me for going against my better judgement! What initially reeled us in was the current special they had going. 2 meats + 2 sides = $6.95. Our eyes glazed over at the amazing deal. The food was incredibly greasy it was like I had lip gloss on! I just couldn't stomach it anymore and pushed my plate to the side. I totally wish we went to Grand Lux instead! I got the regular bourbon chicken which tastes exactly like teriyaki chicken from one of the fast Japanese joints. The spicy chicken wasn't spicy at all. I guess they kind of throw you off with the bell peppers but it was more so sweet and sour than what it was advertised as. A good number of their sides are an extra cost. Why is mac 'n cheese an extra $0.50? It's just noodles and cheese! Anyway, I got the fried rice and corn. The corn was probably the highlight of my meal. Steamed and somewhat sweet. I was willing myself to like it all but I just couldn't bring myself to. Sorry Bourbon St. Grill!

The mango chicken is dry. The Bourban chicken has fat on it (or is it the skin?). My favorite is the orange chicken. The plantains are mediocre, but can pass for descent at a food court restaurant.

a man sitting on a bench in front of the counter

10/14 I am seated right in front of this fast food place. A customer brought back her food container open, from the other side of the food court. After arguing with the manager in purple she gave back the food and he gladly took it, instead of disposing he put the meat back into the fresh food. This is unsanitary, this place should be closed we are in a pandemic. After putting it back the began offering them as samples to other customers. Authorities should check the mall surveillance cameras or even there cameras.

    Yikesss nasty

Everyone here is so rude.. i complain to the lady there is a bug or watever you called that on my food and theh keep insisting it is a onion... i was like this is look onion to you? And the manager came like dont even care didnt even say sorry and the worst part, serving the food to customer. So unsanity.. i will try to call department of health and complain how nasty and dirty they serve. And who knows what they put on the food in the back... SO NASTY!!!!

    Two entrees and a side

The seafood entrees cost extra. My total came out to $11+ because of this, when I thought it would only come out to $8 and change . The food is typical Chinese take out style . You do get a big serving good enough for two people or for a meal that will last a person all day . It was nothing special but a good place to go if you want Chinese food . Does not seems very creole to me as the name would indicate .

The food is alright as means of grabbing a bite for lunch. The only good thing going for them (in my opinion) is their bourbon chicken as they advertise and the blackened fish. Otherwise is hit or miss. In my thought I believe is is a little overpriced for quality and the way they handle their servicing.

It's on the top floor (or the ground level if you're coming from an outdoor parking lot) and one of several mall eateries that aren't in the food court. The ordering decision tree proceeds as follows: 1) Decide whether you want tacos, cheesy tacos (called, quesatacos) or a platter, 2) Pick your proteins (vegetarian options available), and 3) Determine which toppings and accoutrements you want on top of your tacos. The best part of ordering was seeing the fresh masa and tortilla press right behind the counter, a reassurance that these tortillas would be as fresh as one can get. And they were. Not only that, the meats inside them were incredible. We tried the birria, carne asada, crispy fish, and smoked chicken, all of which were conversation-silencing delicious. I'm also not a bit embarrassed to admit I sipped straight from the small cup of that rich consommé that's meant as a dipping broth for the birria tacos. If I had to pick a least favorite from the bunch, it would be the smoked chicken, but that's not to say they were bad; the other ones just blew me away far more. The chicken tacos were packed with tender meat and redolent of smoked wood, a flavor I wouldn't have expected to encounter in the middle of a shopping mall. Most of the restaurant space seems to be reserved for the ordering and food prep area, but there's a decently sized seating area right outside the restaurant and even more places to sit a little further away from Carlito's if the tables are full.

That said, this restaurant is one of few decent Korean spots outside of Fort Lee and Palisades Park. As such, it's become a return spot for our family members who live fairly local. As soon as you sit down, the default beverage offered is warm barley tea (which is much appreciated during those colder winter visits). The banchan, or side dishes, are few but a little more robust here than other Korean restaurants. During my last visit, we were given plates of standard kimchi, sprouts, and seasoned broccoli. I was also surprised to find pumpkin-egg salad, soy marinated lotus root, and soy-marinated ribeye pieces. The offerings change a little from visit to visit, but they're always decent to downright delicious. While I've not been wowed by anything from the menu, I've found most of the meals to be predictable. Hot stone bibimbap is my regular order, and I love the different proteins they offer here for mixed rice dishes. For those curious about the barbecue but unwilling to pay the high sticker price for a full entree, you can try the galbi, bulgogi, and spicy pork atop a bibimbap. During my last visit, I was delighted by the salmon hot stone bibimbap, which came with a great teriyaki marinade. My regular complaint with Seoul Galbi's bibimbap is that the hot stone has never gotten hot enough for my rice to char and crisp (which is arguably the best part of ordering it on a hot stone. Otherwise, why else would one pay the elevated prices?). When it comes to decor and ambiance, the restaurant is fairly no frills. As far as service goes, the waitresses have always been quick - quick to order, quick to serve, and quick to refill glasses (or, when asked, the side dishes). I also appreciate how slow they are to deliver the check, allowing conversations to linger. When my family and I came with a cake for a family member, the auntie serving our table not only came by with extra plates and silverware, she clapped and sang the 'Happy Birthday' song as boisterously as we.

Unfortunately, the reality did not match the marketing. Instead of being offered these premium selections, we were repeatedly served chicken and lower-cost meats, which filled us up long before we had a chance to try many of the cuts prominently featured on the menu. To make matters worse, when one of the premium cuts finally came around, my wife became full and saved a portion to take home. We were then told by the manager that we could not take it to go because they consider themselves a "buffet-style restaurant." This was surprising, as nowhere during the ordering process was this clearly explained, nor is that the dining experience they promote. We paid $74 per person expecting to enjoy the meats advertised and reasonably assumed that any uneaten portion of food we had already been served could be taken home. The manager repeatedly stated that it was their policy and even acknowledged that the food would be thrown away rather than allowing us to take home what we had paid for. That was frustrating and wasteful. The service only added to the disappointment. Our waitress lacked personality, provided very little explanation of how the dining experience worked, and failed to mention the no-takeout policy before encouraging us to order the most expensive option on the menu. Had these policies and limitations been clearly communicated upfront, our expectations would have been very different. For the price charged, the experience felt misleading, the service was poor, and the value simply wasn't there. We will not be returning.

Food: For a buffet, the food was decent and fairly priced. The chicken and waffles and smoked salmon were definite standouts -- flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying. Everyone we interacted with was super kind, and the staff managed the controlled chaos with patience and a smile. Aesthetic: It's a really pretty venue for a buffet, with a unique layout that spreads the stations across different section: carving station, hot food, cold dishes, and desserts all had their own areas.
