What's a trip to the mall food court without employees eagerly holding samples to your face? So... I fell victim to Bourbon Street Grill. I had a sample of the mango chicken and I actually liked it. I was in the mood for some greasy Chinese food, so I thought "eh, why not?" You can choose between different combo plates (1,2, or 3 entrees). They had a special for 2 meats and 2 sides ($13.59). My order was: yellow rice + mashed potatoes with mango chicken + spicy chicken. Let me tell y'all... They really PACK your plate up. I could have easily split this into two or three meals. As for the taste, I was surprised at how flavorful it was. The mashed potatoes were rich, buttery, and fluffy. The spicy chicken and mango chicken were tender, sweet, and spicy. The weakest link was probably the yellow rice. It had a gluey consistency and was mushy. After a few mouthfuls, I got pretty full... I was going to save the rest of my meal for later but I honestly got turned off by how greasy the food started to get. You can't have high expectations for mall food court food. If you're ready to feast and want some good ol' Chinese grub, try it out. read more

Make no mistake about it, if you're looking for a gargantuan portion of greasy Chinese food, THIS is absolutely your spot. With a name like "Bourbon Street Grill", the last thing you would expect is Chinese fast food, but that's EXACTLY what they serve here. And, to no one's surprise, it's popular amongst the mall patrons - mainly because of their ridiculously large portions. You can either order a Salad or (One, Two or Three Entree) Combo Plate here. Yes, it's not a typo, I said "Salad", but who are we kidding? I would say 99% .... OK, 100% of customers order one of the Combo Plates, which includes rice or noodle + 1, 2 or 3 greasy meats/sides. And, a lot of the food served here will look pretty familiar or similar to those who just can't get enough of Chinese fast food - orange chicken, mango chicken, bourbon chicken, spicy bourbon chicken, blackened chicken, shrimp, etc. As for bases, they serve your typical fried rice, lo mein noodles, rice and beans, string beans, mixed vegetables, fried plantains, corn, mash potatoes AND even mac and cheese. So, yeah, there's a lot of bang for your buck and you can clearly see why people love coming here. Oh, and did I mention that they give you a truck load of food? Enough to easily feed 2-3 people? As for the taste? If you stick with the vegetables and chicken, you might feel OK after your meal, but if you go all out greasy with the fried rice, lo mein, shrimp and one of the types of chicken, be prepared for sodium overload. I have to admit, this type of food IS a guilty pleasure of mine and I somewhat enjoy it, so I didn't think it was that bad. However, I DID feel reallllly guilty afterwards. Either way, feeling guilty or not, this food is what it is. The portions are huge, so you'll definitely be getting your moneys worth. BUT If you're into Chinese fast food, then you KNOW where to fuel up in between visits to your favorite department stores. read more

I don't get the negative reviews, but I always enjoy coming here cause I like the "free samples" and the mango chicken, which is my absolute favorite, they have a variety of different meals to choose some, with their own acquired taste, the employees are also very nice when they serve the food as well, I for one, love coming here, and IMO, it's recommended.. read more

After tasting a sample offered to us, we ordered the bourbon chicken and broccoli for $10.99. If you pay $12.99 you can get 2 sides. Update: Although the chicken tasted good, it gave us chronic diarrhoea. My kid and l had major stomach pain and had to race to the bathroom twice before leaving the mall. Flavorless slop. Of all the choices in the food court, I had to pick the worst one bc of nostalgia. I got Lo mein noodles w black pepper chicken. ZERO taste aside from the oily grease. Solid cheap Chinese food. They reeled me in with the free samples. I like that they allow you to try the meats before you buy them. I totally wish we went to Grand Lux instead. Shame on me for going against my better judgement! What initially reeled us in was the current special they had going. 2 meats + 2 sides = $6.95. Our eyes glazed over at the amazing deal. The food was incredibly greasy it was like I had lip gloss on! I just couldn't stomach it anymore and pushed my plate to the side. I totally wish we went to Grand Lux instead! I got the regular bourbon chicken which tastes exactly like teriyaki chicken from one of the fast Japanese joints. The spicy chicken wasn't spicy at all. I guess they kind of throw you off with the bell peppers but it was more so sweet and sour than what it was advertised as. A good number of their sides are an extra cost. Why is mac 'n cheese an extra $0.50? It's just noodles and cheese! Anyway, I got the fried rice and corn. The corn was probably the highlight of my meal. Steamed and somewhat sweet. 10/14 I am seated right in front of this fast food place. A customer brought back her food container open, from the other side of the food court. After arguing with the manager in purple she gave back the food and he gladly took it, instead of disposing he put the meat back into the fresh food. This is unsanitary, this place should be closed we are in a pandemic. After putting it back the began offering them as samples to other customers. Authorities should check the mall surveillance cameras or even there cameras. read more

Decent enough for a mall food court but the three women behind the counter full out screaming, "FREE SAMPLE CHICKEN YUMMY YUMMY" is really off putting. I have no idea how mall management could allow this. Sarku has someone standing in front low key with a tray of samples. Bourbon Street should do the same. When people are looking to eat, the whole being screamed at kind of ruins the experience no matter how yummy yummy the food is. Next time I'll wear earbuds or take a pass. read more

The food isn't bad. I'm partial to their bourbon chicken and lo mein. There's really not much to say about a spot in the mall food court, it's pretty doubtful that you go for the ambiance or decor, but you're there and you grab a bite on the cheap in an environment that offers a variety of choices therein. Everyone here is so rude.. i complain to the lady there is a bug or watever you called that on my food and theh keep insisting it is a onion... i was like this is look onion to you? And the manager came like dont even care didnt even say sorry and the worst part, serving the food to customer. The seafood entrees cost extra. My total came out to $11+ because of this, when I thought it would only come out to $8 and change . The food is typical Chinese take out style . You do get a big serving good enough for two people or for a meal that will last a person all day . It was nothing special but a good place to go if you want Chinese food . Total was about 10$ and change with a large drink for two meat and two sides. Listen there are 3 other establishments located in this food court that serve the same food, don't choose this one. The employees here are feisty and just want your money. When i tried the food it was decent , it's just that the employees treat you bad and make you unwelcome. Every other spot treated you way better as if they knew how to draw customers in, this place obviously didn't. The lady actually yelled at us because we wanted to sample something we were interested in and bear in mind all these places give out free samples. Yesterday will be the last time. its always cold, there is no difference in taste because everything is bland or drenched in soy sauce. they have a 2 meats and 2 sides special or its 1 meat depending on the day for $9 but there is always 5 different types of chicken, 1 shrimp and that's it no other meat choices and the chicken varieties are all just different in color not taste. and if you ask for shrimp they do this sneaky maneuver where they quickly scoop it into the tray then says that $1.50 more without letting you decide if you want to pay the extra money, shrimp is obviously frozen and tasteless. and the nastiest part is they have this community holder of unwrapped forks where they expect it to be sanitary that anyone can grab one and touch them all. My mother and I tried this two days ago and we were satisfied with our dishes. We took the 2/2 $7.99 special. I got the red beans and rice and lo mein with bourbon chicken and blackened chicken. You can ask for a sample which I did with the chicken. After reading the below reviews I'm surprised no one liked the lo mein. I enjoyed that the most so did my mother. It doesn't taste like the typical Chinese lo mein we get. All for $7.99 it's worth a try. read more

I go to school at Bergen and this seems to be the place I always choose to go eat lunch at because when I'm craving something healthy I can always go and get fish and vegetables. As a vegetarian I still always went because their sides are delicious especially their green beans! I wasn't too fond of their chicken but my boyfriend loves it. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Went there, bought food, they tried to run my ATM card -- said it didn't go through. So they said, no money, no food. OK. Fair enough. I should have had enough money on my card. But, guess what? They DID in fact debit my card for the bill! (Checked it with the bank.) After I showed them the charge on my account, they offered me the (by now) cold food. By which time I didn't want it, because I was so upset at their trying to run a ripoff on me. I went to mall security and filed a report with them. The security guy agreed to come with me to the restaurant to work it out to a reasonable conclusion. As we approached the cafe, the manager actually saw us and walked away! WALKED AWAY! So now I have to go through the rigamarole of filing a dispute, etc. etc., to get my money back. MY money, not Bourbon Street's money. If you value your integrity and your bank account, just go elsewhere fast. Skip this place altogether.
