We stopped by for lunch while running some errands in the area. Upon arriving it is street parking so there is either ample parking or you have to search around. Before we even walked in you could smell the freshly fried chicken which smells absolutely amazing and makes you even hungrier. The staff here are extremely friendly and patient. We had no idea what to order so we sat down and looked through the menu. This is definitely a popular takeout spot as we were reading the menu. We ordered alot of food as my boyfriend's eyes are about as large are his stomach! He ordered their crispy chicken sandwich which came out towering and crispy. We ordered a 12 piece of wings and got the honey bbq sauce and spicy Buffalo. I loved the spicy Buffalo sauce. The wings were tender and the meat was moist. They were huge wings so be prepared. We also ordered the Dave's special fries which was good. Just a very very large portion. It definitely could've have way less sauce on the pork so you taste the cheese and fries underneath. I ordered the honey bbq chicken wrap and I ate about half of it there. I removed most of the lettuce and tomatoes and they did not taste ripe or correct t the lettuce had an odd taste to it. But overall the food was good. We paid as we got our takeout containers as it was so much food we could not finish it all. I have to say it was good and not sure I'd come back. More of a you try it once place.

    4 piece chicken meal. Delicious!!!

Win!!! Got the order via mobile order/delivery. Been looking for a good comfort food that focused on fried chicken and sides. I really enjoyed my 4 piece meal. I think I would only buy seriously the wing pieces due to its crispiness and flavor. But the real winners were the sides. I think I would surely survive off the Mac & cheese, and flavorful gravy and mashed potato. Food arrived within ample time and arrived hot still. Husband got the waffle, and boneless wings; he enjoyed the waffle more, and my Mac & cheese.

I've passed by Buffalo's Chicken Shack numerous times and finally tried it one Friday afternoon for takeout, when hubby said he was craving some BBQ. We ordered the half chicken and full slab combo. It comes with a piece of cornbread and two sides. For the sides, we went with the mac and cheese and the corn. The chicken was very smoky (not my cup of tea) and dry (also not my cup of tea). The ribs were okay but I wish all the extra sauce was on the side for dipping instead of having the ribs drenched. The mac and cheese wasn't bad. The corn was almost inedible. They were just overboiled frozen corn kernels with a ton of artificial-tasting butter. We also ordered the 12-piece wings, which allows you to choose two sauces. We got the lemon pepper and spicy garlic parmesan. The sauces were pretty good but the wings were SO oily. I knew it wasn't a healthy meal but we felt gross after the meal. We were always intrigued by the sign outside that advertised 50 cent wings on Wednesdays. (which by the way, they still have the sign outside but when you go inside, there's another sign that says they are pausing wing night for the time being. Kind of shady). But now that we've tried the food, we don't think we'll be back for Wing Wednesday. Or any other day.

    Waiting for my food.

This place is an absolute must go to if you're craving wings or old fashioned fried chicken. Everything is made fresh on premises. The chicken has that perfectly crispy skin with perfectly cooked, juicy meat. They don't just stop at chicken. Their mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, corn bread, are all absolutely phenomenal! Everyone inside was extremely nice and helpful, even considering that I was picking up near closing and we all know at that point, we're all tired. Not these guys and gals... They were going strong. You can also eat in. Very casual inside and clean. Parking consists of street parking only by I've never had an issue finding a spot. My only regret was that I thought I already reviewed this place and I didn't... So no pictures of the actual food.

We've been coming here regularly, and the food is always delicious and consistently great. We tend to order the same things each time, their pulled pork quesadillas, buffalo chicken nachos, crispy chicken sandwich, and fried chicken and each meal never disappoints. Sometimes the food takes longer to make, but perfection takes time. The staff is very nice and super friendly, and because we're regulars, they recognize us by name. There is parking available, and it's located on a busy main street. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area.

You would never think a place that looks like a pizza place sells such delicious food. The wings were ginormous. They were crispy and seasoned to perfection. However, the sauce was a little overwhelming and if left on too long made the wings a little soggy. Nonetheless, does not take away from the satisfaction of your happy tastebuds. The waffle was a little overdone and hard. The staff were very nice.

I highly recommend this place, especially if you are craving buffalo wings -- although they do have a lot of other things on the menu. The restaurant itself is nothing special in terms of appearance, but don't judge a book by its cover. They clearly care about their customers and the quality of their food. At the end of the day, that's really all that matters! One day, I had an intense craving for classic buffalo wings. Of course, I'm a fan of other flavors like garlic parm. But nothing beats good ol' buffalo. (They call it Original here, fyi). So, I got the Original Mild wings and a side of cornbread (because other Yelpers kept saying to try the cornbread). The wings were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. So perfectly fried, not dry at all. The cornbread was dense and warm and soft. Ask for butter on top. I'm glad I listened to other reviews! Also, let's talk about the size of the wings. No cheap tiny little wings here. There was a good mix of drums and flats (although I'm a flats girl through and through). I came in really hungry but was super full by the time I finished all of my food. I really recommend eating at the restaurant instead of ordering takeout, because the sauce will inevitably make the wings soggy eventually. But if you eat it fresh, it's so delicious and doesn't get soggy for a while (assuming you don't take an hour to eat your food). 10/10 would recommend! I will be back to try other wing flavors!

Question: does Jersey have more chicken joints or potholes?…read more(I know... it' not even close but NJ is trying their best to oversaturate the market with chicken establishments.) We've been here now a few times, scattered over a few years, and sometimes it's a 3 and sometimes it's a 4. (Our most recent visit was a positive one - so we're officially Yelping this at 4-stars.) Fried chicken basket. Chicken sandwich. Rice bowls. French fries. We've bounced around their menu and everything has been flavorful, the portions are no joke and if you see 'SPICY' - they're not kidding around. (Personally I wish they'd mellow out on how much of their signature "Lauren sauce" they apply to their sandwiches because it overpowers everything else.) Guys behind the counter - always friendly. Restaurant is clean (although their table tops are oddly sticky) and it's always disconcerting when what's on the giant TV screen (Asian MTV?) isn't matching up with the music over the sound system (90's American alternative). To the right of the main counter there's a Hershey's "side-shop" for ice cream and shakes and bubble teas and yakult tea (no clue about any of that... I'm a boomer that's content with my Lipton black tea or Bigelow's green tea). Pricing is a bit hefty. (Most recent visit was about $17 a person, no drinks included.) They share a (really snug) parking lot with the likes of a Dunkin as well as (the highly underwhelming) Biggie's on Rt 17S - which can be tricky to get in/out of.

I had a very disappointing and honestly embarrassing experience today at bb.q Chicken…read more I was genuinely excited to eat here because I've had a good experience with their food before. Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite. I ordered at the counter with no issues. I asked which options were sweet and spicy, made my choice, paid, and was given a buzzer. Everything seemed fine. After ordering food from other vendors (which I received with no problem), I realized my buzzer never went off. So I walked back to the counter to check on my order. That's when things went left. The cashier told me there was no order under my buzzer number (#02) -- that my order didn't exist. I went back to my table, grabbed my receipt, and brought it to her. It clearly showed order #20, meaning she either gave me the wrong buzzer or entered the number incorrectly. A simple mistake... or at least it should have been. Instead of fixing it, she refused to help. She immediately became defensive and insisted that someone in my party -- specifically my daughter, who never even approached the counter -- must have already taken the food. That accusation alone was inappropriate and completely false. From there, the situation escalated unnecessarily. I was met with dismissiveness, accusations, and even laughter. I was told I would not receive my food or a refund. This went on for 30-40 minutes. It was honestly embarrassing. They have cameras pointed directly at the counter, and I even suggested they check them -- because why would anyone argue this long over something they didn't pay for? It made no sense. At one point, I had to stand there and refuse to let additional orders go through until the situation was addressed, because she simply would not budge. As a business owner myself, I was shocked. If there's ever confusion with an order, you fix it. You remake the food or issue a refund. Instead, I was treated with suspicion and disrespect over an $18 order. I don't like to make things about race, but as a woman of color, the way I was spoken to and dismissed did not sit right with me. Security from American Dream Mall was called, but they said they couldn't help since the restaurant is third-party -- which only added to the frustration. I ended up recording part of the situation because of how poorly it was being handled. At that point, I didn't even care about the food anymore -- I just wanted my money back. The cashier called the owner, and instead of resolving it properly, I was asked for my personal information and told that if they refunded me and later decided I was "wrong," they could take legal action against me. Over chicken. Completely inappropriate and intimidating. After all of that, 30-40 minutes later, she suddenly "found" my order in the system and processed the refund -- which only confirmed that the mistake was on their end all along. This situation should have taken one minute to fix. Instead, it turned into a drawn-out, public ordeal where I was treated disrespectfully and made to feel like I was doing something wrong. Other customers were watching, waiting, and some even left -- so the business lost money over something that was entirely avoidable. Mistakes happen. But how you treat customers when they do is what matters most. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in a long time.

My son (the pickiest eater in the world) LOVED the boneless thighs, and even the French fries. I thought everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. But the staff was incredibly welcoming right from the start, and that alone earns them five stars. You never know what to expect in a new neighborhood, but they set the tone immediately. The vibe of the restaurant is very comfortable. It is the kind of spot you walk into after a long day or a productive day and you just know you are about to eat something good. It feels like a family run place, even if it is not actually run by family. It has that warmth. You can tell it is an important part of the neighborhood. I even noticed pictures of community members on the wall, which says a lot. Now, the food. There is hot food, cold food, and plenty of items you can take home. I ordered a chicken parmesan sandwich, and let me tell you, it was the size of a skinny football. I am not exaggerating. It took me almost a day and a half to finish it. It tasted exceptional, and I actually had to stop myself from eating the whole thing in one sitting so I would not slip into a food coma. One tip, eat it while it is hot. That is when it is at its peak power. My friend agreed with me about the overall vibe and quality. If I am ever in the neighborhood again, I will gladly go out of my way just to try more of their dishes. You do not find spots like this easily. New York City has great food, but a place with this combination of warmth, quality, portion size, and charm is rare. In another city, this could easily be a reservation only spot packed every night. Here, it fits perfectly in the community. Great job to everyone there. Keep up the good work. Cheers.
