First time visit and we had a party of 4 here on Saturday evening and only had to wait a few minutes for a table. The decor is very nice. We sat inside but there is additional seating outside on a covered patio. I ordered from the daily special board posted behind the bar... Bowen's Grouper. Our server highly recommended it. It was a grilled Grouper filet on a bed of wild rice covered in a delicious sauce, chunks of fried shrimp, with tomato and green onion. Wow!! It was outstanding. I opted for the mashed potatoes side and they were very tasty. I opted against the $2.50 dinner salad but I wished I had gotten it because their salads look great. My only complaint about my meal was that the portion size seemed small compared to the over $20 price. Our server, Angela,was awesome. I just read the few negative reviews of this place, and there's no way these people were at the same place I was yesterday. Bowen's Landing is easily one of the best restaurants in the area or anywhere actually. I've lived in several states and travel alot and can say that this place ranks right at the top with our favorites. The prices are fantastic. Anyone complaining that $7 for burger is too expensive must usually eat at Taco Bell. We were greeted promptly at the door by an upbeat and energetic man who we learned is the manager, Tim. Tim is everything most other restaurants need. We were blown away by how supportive he was to his team. He clearly does not see himself above any task, which is rare unfortunately. Tim was cleaning, running food, pouring drinks, you name it. Stephanie was equally professional and friendly. She took special care of our 2 year old, getting her paper from the computer and giving her a pen to draw. She actually let her keep the pen, which if you've ever been a server, you know that's a big deal because there always seems to be a shortage. We shared a shrimp cocktail, and the homemade cocktail sauce was the best ever. My burger was cooked perfectly to my desired temperature, and the chili on it was so good that I would eat it on a bun by itself like a sloppy joe. My husband loved his flounder, and we were both thrilled with the onion rings. They definitely know how to make onion rings. Delicious. The kids food looked awesome, unlike some of the low effort grilled cheese sandwiches I've seen at other places. We practically licked our plates, so we were too full for dessert, but they have an impressive list. We will be back for the chocolate peanut butter pie and to try the pickle fry appetizer. I can't leave this review without mentioning that the restroom was SPOTLESS. Actually the whole place was spotless, but the restroom deserves an award for cleanest restaurant bathroom. As a former longtime restaurant server, bartender, and trainer I really appreciate how wonderful the staff at Bowen's Landing worked together to make sure that we had a great experience. Too often we have terrible experiences eating out, and it puts me in a bad mood. It seems like either the food is really good but bad service or vice versa, and I refuse to be a repeat patron for lazy, thoughtless businesses who are just barely going through the motions. This restaurant is PHENOMENAL! We were worried when we pulled up that we'd have a long wait because the parking lot looked packed but there was actually a lot of parking out back and we were seated as soon as we walked in during prime dinner hours. The gentleman seating us thanked us for our business several times and we were treated to a free dessert because it was our first visit. The service was prompt and super friendly. The food .... Oh my! Scallops melt in your mouth... the seafood pasta was lick your plate good (no, he didn't but only to save his wife embarrassment). They didn't have a cocktail menu but I'd seen someone else on Yelp had ordered one and gave it a try. Very tasty and went down fast. The scallops were also very good, smooth and buttery and not overly seared. My mom ordered the Shrimp pasta, and my dad ordered the Key West Salmon. The sauce on the salmon is amazing! So tangy. I'm feelin' old saying this, but we like the early bird menu here (before 6pm). This restaurant is popular for a good reason - the food is very good and the prices are reasonable. My only beef is that their standard vegetable is broccoli. Always broccoli. We've been coming here for years and I can predict tonight's vegetable - it's broccoli! Shut up and eat your broccoli. They have a very nice covered and heated patio for outdoor dining. It's a good place for large groups of people. Other than the broccoli, there is nothing to dislike here. The servers are friendly and efficient. The iced tea is pretty good, also. Overall, a good meal at a reasonable price. read more

Bowen's Landing is neat Inman so it's a bit if a drive from Greenville. The drive is pretty though. The restaurant experience was great. The food was just what I wanted and the service was wonderful. My flounder was perfectly cooked. The only item the three of us had that was just ordinary was the French fries. That's easy to avoid. We are already planning to return. On your first visit the table gets a free desert. I got one of the best cheesecakes I've had and I'm picky. If you want a drive in the country followed by a nice meal, I suggest this place. read more
