First time here and it did not disappoint. Seating choice of inside or outside on the patio. The service was great and the food was good and served quickly. I didn't have to wait very long for the food, as I was there early when it opened. I was given the early bird menu, and I ordered the pan seared flounder fillet with coleslaw and tartar sauce. For my side I got the feta mashed potatoes..they were good, but came out cold. Didn't have any room for dessert, but would try some next time I go. read more

I can't say enough about this place. We went in with a party of 11 at 8pm and they were wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious. I started with the chicken stew soup and it was tasty. We also had the hush puppy appetizer and we got plenty and they were some of the best I've had. My brother had the ribs, his wife the pork chop. I had the Bowen salmon and it was a good portion and tasty. They accidentally put honey mustard on my daughter's chicken. Being a teen and insecure she didn't speak up. Till we were done eating. She happily took it off the bill and had it remade to boot. My elderly mother had crab legs. By the time my brother and I cracked them all for her it was cold. They had no issue reheating her food. Overall friendly, on top of things and couldn't recommend a better place. Will be back for sure! read more

I feel terrible that it has been a year since my first visit and never made a post. It happen to be on the way home and it wasn't that busy, so we decided to stop. We were greeted immediately, and they asked where we would like to sit. They have beautiful fire place in an closed in area that they open up in the summer. It was a very nice set up. The tables were set up nicely too. Some people were dressed up and some were in casual clothing. We were asked if we been there before and told them no. A few minutes later we were greeted by the owner who was incredibly nice and helpful. He personally checked in throughout our meal. The food was incredible, and the presentation of the food was also a nice bonus. He offered us dessert and he told us all the desserts they had to offer. He told us which ones his his wife makes homemade. We were full but how could we resist. I'm glad we tried a couple because the were the most amazing desserts we've had in a very long time! Then he said it was on the house! We were so thankful we stopped, because my day was so bad with a terrible doctor visit and dealing with rude people most of the day. This place turned my day around with their amazing kindness, amazing food and service, and the owners that took such good care of us while we were there. You could tell the owners take great pride in their restaurant and the people. We noticed it wasn't just us they took care of but everyone. I would highly recommend this place to everyone I know and have since being there. I learned they welcome families, and they have different days they add dishes; for example, Italian night, where they serve great Italian food in addition to the menu. My husband and I recently moved into the area and have been wanting to try this place out. We went here for dinner tonight and all of our expectations were met and then some. We started with the shrimp dip, that was a special this evening and it was delicious. My husband had the lobster roll and I had the Ribeye for our main meals. The ribeye cut like butter, one of the best I have had. For desert we had the key lime pie, refreshing and light with the best lime flavor. Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. It's our first time here so we were not sure what to expect. Drove up to a full house but they were able to seat us quickly. Everyone was very kind. Now to the part you want to know. The food was awesome! I had salmon and crab cakes and my husband had blackened flounder with scallops. My husband and I stopped in for dinner here last night. We didn't have a reservation and they told us it would be a 30 minute wait, which we were fine with considering it was peak dinner hour. They seated us almost immediately which was a nice surprise until we got to our table and realized we were in the coldest corner of the restaurant and there wasn't another table available. Our waitress was really nice but a little clueless, she didn't really know what the specials were and we had to repeat our order a few times. We ordered the chicken nachos which we phenomenal and I had the flounder special and my husband had the grouper, both were good and we were pleasantly surprised the seafood was as good as it was. We have been looking for a good seafood place locally and I think we found it here. Overall a good experience and we'll be back for sure. read more

Our first time at Bowens Landing and it was a delightful experience. The entire staff were very friendly. We sat outside and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The dip for the hush puppies was delicious. Our crab cakes and flounder were not disappointing. Our blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream capped off a wonderful dinner. As we were out on our yearly anniversary trip. We were looking for a place to eat and came across this place and boy were we in for a treat. I had the seared scallops and they were awesome. My husband had the grouper and He said it was really good I don't eat fish but I tasted it and I would have eaten that whole thing. Oh almost forgot we had the Crab Cakes for an app and they were so good and you could see and taste the crab not like most that you taste nothing but breading. Bowen's Landing is one of our go to restaurants. Always good service and always good food. The main difference maker is the manager, Tim. He is fully vested in the experience of the customer and you can tell it. The crab cakes are my personal favorite, but there are also other great selections. The patio is nice in warmer weather and the bar is fully stocked and usually has some creative drinks to offer. In all, one of the best values for the money in Spartanburg I think. read more

We have been told so many restaurants in this area are great only to be extremely disappointed with the food and experience. This was the first place that was recommended to us that was truly an amazing experience. The server was superb and the food was excellent. Oh my goodness the crab cakes were the most delicious food I have had in South Carolina so far. My mango salmon was the perfect entree and I was so happy with my experience from start to finish.
