I felt safe. Restrooms were clean. Bowling was fun. Glad to see security there. It was packed and then it wasn't. It was an overall fun time. Lots of parking. Lots of food and drink options. Bowling price was pretty pricey. Nevertheless a good time. Staff was quick to serve and with all smiles.

Lucky strike bowling alleys are always nice, the only issue I had here was the service. We waited 30-40 minutes for a cotton candy lemonade.

Came here for a birthday and I am so glad that they have more staff. The restrooms are clean and everything is out in a timely manner. Their systems now let you add bumpers for kids on their turns and you don't have to have the bumpers on for your bowling. Great experience, hope they can maintain it.

Overall the place was pretty good it has a nice vibe with all the lights. But for one drink which was the cotton candy lemonade it took about 30 minutes I feel like they could do better. Also they were rushing us out. But the lemonade was pretty good would recommend it! (just not the wait for it)

Are the pins on strings? I believe they are at the Mar Vista location so checking here. Thanks!

No, I don't believe they are on strings. You might want to call them to be sure. Have fun and best of luck.

Review #966 2026-032…read more This used to be AMF Bowling & was later acquired via merger by Strike Holdings LLC (dba Bowlmor Lanes), & rebranded as Bowlero in 2017. Since our last visit over the summer, they're now defunct & again renamed to Lucky Strike in 2025. Whew! Bowlero is actually closer to home than the defunct Gable House Bowl, & the very last bowling alley in Torrance after the demise of Palos Verdes Bowl prior to GHB. I went through a phase of bowling at least once per month in my YA years & recently started up again after having kids due to bowling birthday parties. I miss bowling... I bowled for the 1st time when I was teen & can even remember my 1st score of 77. I didn't bowl much, but I'm usually in the mid-range of 150 or thereabouts & have scored a few turkeys in my lifetime. At one point, I had planned to purchase bowling shoes so that I'm not using the public ones since I hung out with friends that either like to bowl or shoot pool. We were invited to a teen's 15th b-day at Bowlero & the space is huge! It has a mini arcade, bar, pool tables, & 40 bowling lanes that's equipped with lounge seats, blacklights, & HD screens that played movies, music videos, & sports. My daughter had a good ol' time with the birthday girl & their friends, most were from her Color Guard team. Both lanes seem to malfunction frequently enough that they didn't get a full 2 hours; the girls didn't seem that into bowling so it was fine. They were served pizza, chips & salsa with fountain drinks. I only wished they were either served before or after bowling to clean their hands since none of them thought to wash their hands between frames. Yikes! \(`0´)/ None could really bowl & scoring 50+ points was an accomplishment with a couple scoring 100+; the random strikes helped in between the gutters. After a couple of rounds, the girls hung out at the arcade; it's on the smaller side with some games that offer tickets that can exchanged at the automated prize hub. I thought Bowlero would be a fun place to hold my 15 YO's birthday celebration the following month because there's so much downtime for her friends to chitchat & hangout. And I happened to find a really great Groupon Deal: $84 for 2 hours of bowling + shoes rental for 6... not sure of the normal rate, but this is $7/hour with shoe rental! I kept it small to help H build relationships with her friends. It's been only a month, & Bowlero is still riddled with technical issues that we spent more time waiting for the tech to fix the problems than bowling. Even with a lane switch didn't do much to fix the frequent downtime. I even requested to be closer to the center of the bowling alley, near the front desk due to the far left lanes' malfunctions. Again, scoring 50+ points was a real accomplishment with one g/f hitting 100+ in the 1st round. At the 2nd go, H had the highest score of 81. I'm not sure when is prime time but the parking lot was half-full at each visit & it was quite busy inside with half the alley in bowling action. Bowlero is a chill place for a family-friendly bowling game or two... if only the technical issues doesn't mar the experience.

Great bowling place!…read more The drinks and food are a bit pricey but we hardly come here so we decided to split the cost. The service is good! The food is good! The place gets packed around 8:30 pm so come around 7:30 if you want to get a lane. And come with a group so that it's cheaper bc it was just me and friend and we played good but we finished so quick. We then went to the bar to have drinks and the bartender Esme made our night bc she was so attentive and quick and helpful with our drinks. Kudos to Esmeralda for being the best bartender! Forgot to take photos of our drinks but they were good!

I appreciate them for letting us celebrate my sister's birthday cake in the restaurant since the bowling alley itself wouldn't let us. The staff was just above and beyond, and all the more reason to come back to this joint aside from the good food. Thank you to everyone that works here! Thank you Gardena Bowl!

The Asian lady that usually takes the order is wonderful. The older Latino gentleman is also great. Today, I ate here and there seems to be a new guy. Bigger, taller guy, with long hair that was in a tiny bun, and has a goatee. He wasn't the best. He took my order without taking any notes. Initially, I was kind of impressed as he just confidently nodded as I took my order. My main plate came, but the other things that I ordered didn't. I waited sound 5 mins to see if the kitchen was just backed up. So I asked him again, he said ok. I waited again and it still didn't come. He seemed to have been distracted with other tables and talking to everyone . So, I ended up asking the older Latino guy for it and the rest of my orders came out quickly. Then came to paying the bill and asking for a box and a bag. The exact same thing! I asked him a second time for the box and a bag. It never came. At one point, he even sat down on a seat with a person that seemed to be a buddy of his. All this while I was patiently waiting for the things I need so I can get back to work. That was a little frustrating. So, again, I reserved to asking the Latino older man, and he gave it to me right away. Give the older man a raise and a promotion. I hope the Asian lady didn't stop working here. She was great. Can't say the same thing about this new guy that I've never seen before.

The weekday windows mostly conflict with office hours so weekdays are pretty much ruled. That leaves weekend mornings or Sunday evenings as the realistic options. Sunday evening is probably the only saving grace. That said once you get a bay and start playing, the experience is really fun. It fun playing with friends and family and I like that there are different games you can pick depending on skill level. You do not have to be a serious golfer to enjoy it which makes it easy for everyone to participate. The food is okay. Not the main reason to come here but good enough while you are playing. just wish the membership timing had a little more flexibility for people who cannot realistically use it during weekday work honestly

Why tell a league bowler and a season pass owner nonsense like that? If you are a even a semi serious bowler, go to a different ally. The lanes were dry. Ball reaction was inconsistent and the ally uses strings. The approach was OK, but a little too slippery for my preference. Lane 23 called 9 pin strikes more than once. My self serve kiosk failed and the servers also completely ignored the help request. I received no help at any point, but was being watched the whole time by a rep. My lane got an error and I waited for about close to 10 minutes and got zero help with that too. That same rep, who was just watching my lane and saw the error, decided to offer zero assistance. This is when I took a picture because he saw that my lane was down and I had requested help at the kiosk before it went down, but he remained standing around looking. After I left to go to the front, this guy now steps in and starts doing something at the table on the lane I was at. Made no sense because I had no drinks or food because the kiosk failed. Overall, this was the worst Bowlero experience I've had in Southern and Northern California. I recommend going down the street to the Torrance Bowlero, if you have practice games and/or a seasonal pass. This specific ally was the worst experience I've had in my one-year of bowling from any ally. I have multiple pictures to prove the claims.
