This was a really fun spot to be in! They have bowling, an arcade, virtual darts, and a pool table. It feels like it fits any type of budget you have for a fun outing. The food was surprisingly good. I was expecting subpar food, since I'm in a bowling alley, but NOPE!! Food is legit. The churro donuts were amazing. The level up sampler is a must! Pretzel Bites? Yum!! Get the Wagyu burger. It's huge! Also, the place is really clean. Shoe rentals looked clean. The lanes are clean. The staff is pretty good at cleaning up after every party. We had the most fun at the virtual darts. You just keep playing until time runs out. There's also different games. Bowling is also really fun. You just need to be careful with your time because when you're having fun, the time goes out quick. I'd recommend you eat at the bistro first and then bowl so you use your time more efficiently. It was obvious that this would be the pattern of the visit. I did what I never do: - we got up and left - I'm leaving a review if I didn't enjoy the restaurant. As a concept, this business is very similar to "Lucky Strike". But the décor is brighter and even more family friendly. When you enter the main door, you will see an arcade in front of you. If you turn to the left, you'll see: a ten lane bowling alley; a dining area; a full bar; a pool table; and two lanes for electronic dart games. There is a sufficient number of screens to watch sports. The selection of beer and wine is more than good; the availability of liquor for highballs and cocktails is basic, but sufficient. The menu selection is slim. I would describe it as finger food and pub grub. But the quality and taste of the stuff is good; and the pricing isn't unreasonable. We went again for a Father/Daughter National Charity League event yesterday and man, oh, man, I love this place so much and it appears to be really taking off. We all had a great time bowling and the staff is amazing at keeping us happy and the place spotless. Our particular server, Lina, was always friendly and happy to help. We had 3 bowlers in my lane, played 2 rounds of regular games and then 2 rounds of "Monster" something or other where we bowled and created a monster with parts earned by the number of pins knocked down. Sort of like one of those "Top Golf" variations they have over there and a fun switch. This time we did eat the food which was very tasty. I sampled the fried pickles, fried mozzarella, fries, buffalo wings, nachos and pizza. Definitely solid pub/bowling alley fare which fit the bill for a big football day! The buffalo wings were fried perfectly; love that crisp they have down. The pizza wasn't "amazing" but fine enough. The fried items were just as you'd expect/want.The nachos were tasty but I would have preferred beef rather than chicken. I particularly loved that they had the Broncos/Patriots game on the giant screens at the end of every few bowling lanes. I mean, it was PLASTERED across the entire back wall at the end of the lanes. What a great way to bowl and watch the game! I had such a good feeling in Level Up and hope it is a huge success. Apparently they don't have any leagues just yet; maybe they will. What? A bowling alley on the hill. I don't even know when they opened. I walked in before they opened one day. There were already other people here, too. More visitors than employees. The place is large and clean. I noticed the rewards room first. There are the bowling lanes in the back to the left, an arcade to the right, and a bistro with bar in the front to the left. The bistro is fairly large, with seating both indoors and outdoors. A gentleman had staked out a table for a birthday party. He was sitting at a table with cake, presents, and balloons. Well, this is something I never saw coming, a bowling alley in PV. Yes, there is a very large bowling alley and sports bar newly opened in the Peninsula Shopping Center. This business is located roughly where Neiman Marcus used to be in this outdoor shopping mall. This is just a point of reference for those of you who know how the mall used to operate back in the days when it was actually a place for shopping. Virtually all of the shops are gone out of the mall now, leaving restaurants, a few businesses, offering coffee orientated drinks, Boba, and the like, and a few other businesses and medical facilities. But surprise, they just opened a bowling alley! Once inside the bowling alley, what you'll immediately notice is that they have a very well designed ten alley facility. Thus, it's not a super large bowling alley, like those from a time gone past. But, I believe it's well suited to the location. More than just a bowling alley, however, this business also has what is designed to be a bistro and bar. Looking at this part of the business it really feels very much like a sports bar. They have a lot of TVs playing various games upon them. The bar is at the center of the facility. It's a large bar and it looks like it has a very good supply of anything you may want to drink. In terms of the bistro, at least in its newly open phase, the menu is fairly limited. That's not to say it's bad, it's just not a vast restaurant menu. But the main thing to take note of is that it's also not just bowling alley food. It's really a big step above that. In addition to the bowling alley and the sports bar, they also have an arcade, designed predominantly for a younger audience. In this part of the business, they have a large number of games which really would be able to suit anybody who wants to go out and try their skills at one of these adventures. I think this place is just a week old. Everything is brand new and works flawlessly. Nice young staff. Helpful and eager. BOWLING - I thought the name bowl and bistro meant it's a fusion food place. Sooo pleasantly surprised the 'bowl' is for bowling! - The floor to ceiling digital background for bowling made this feel more exciting than regular bowling with better visibility than neon bowling. Added a lively kick to the competition. - Cute too that you can take a digital picture of each bowler ARCADE - BRAND NEW. I'll say that again in case it didn't register: No old consoles. No sticky floors or stained carpets. We had tons of fun from zero whining that something wasn't fair because a stuck button didn't work - My boys love driving games and there were cars, motorcycles, etc. - Includes their favorite shoot 'em up game: Jurassic Park! - Old school games like air hockey (Uncle got schooled!), basketball, baseball, dance dance revolution. (My littlest was sweating from all the exercise) - New virtual reality game - Rewards center with a nice lady on hand FULL BAR - There are near 2 dozen beers on tap. Felt like a mini Yardhouse for hubby to enjoy. - Full bar with friendly bartenders who helped me with a festive choice: I enjoyed a smooth Moscow Mule. FOOD - Kid-friendly bar fare like pizza, wings with different dipping sauces, quesadillas, fries, cheesecake. Tasty There was a near floor-to-ceiling digital darts game next to the bar. We will need to try that next time. Bathrooms were pristine. Saw a semi-private party room for birthdays. The footprint is sprawling. They must have tore through a wall to merge a couple of spaces to create something this open. All in all, a great add to the neighborhood. The kids have somewhere to go! Here's the breakdown for fellow parents: * The Games: They have a really nice selection and the best part it wasn't overcrowded! My son had plenty of space to play without a long wait for the popular machines. * The Budget: Just a heads-up: some games are around $6 per play. We started with a $40 card, but it went fast. * The Kiosk Situation (Pro-Tip): This was the only real hiccup. The kiosks can be a bit glitchy and the lines move slowly if people aren't tech-savvy. We ended up waiting 20 minutes just to refill our card. My advice: Load more than you think you need the first time to avoid having to jump back in that line! * The Prizes: After about an hour of play, we cashed in 300 tickets for a Spider-Man paint set. I came here for my niece's 10th birthday party and it was such a fun experience with family and friends. We had the private bowling area for our party and there were 4 lanes with 6 bowlers to each lane. Service was great with such tentative staff... always coming to check in on our party either to take away plates or bring pitchers of drinks. The food was not bad either... you can't go wrong with pizza, wings, nachos, mozzarella sticks, fries, and focaccia bread with hummus. The good: I'm so happy a bowling spot opened up here! I made reservations ahead online but it didn't have options before 2:30PM so I showed up in person at 1:30 and got a refund for the difference because it's cheaper to go before 2PM. I came on a Monday and we were the only bowlers for the first half of our game. The music was bumping (included k-pop). I liked that it wasn't overly loud and overstimulating inside for the kids. It's new so everything (bathroom included) was very clean. It cost around $60-70 for our family of 4 to bowl for one hour. They have toddler kids shoes as small as size 6. There's no age limit. They have bumpers and ramps for kids to bowl with and the smallest ball is a size 6. The interior was spacious and there were fun arcade games. They have an outdoor seating area as well. It looked like they had a private bowling area with 2 lanes as well. The bowling TV had fun game options so you don't have to bowl the traditional way. We did a monster bowling option where each player goes for one turn and their monster gets accessories each turn. The bad: You scan a QR code on the bowling prompter for the menu/ordering but the site wouldn't pull up for me. I thought someone would come by and ask if we wanted to order anything but that didn't happen. The interesting: It's in a former shopping mall plaza so there's lots of food around and there's a cute faux grass hill area out front where kids can climb/play. read more

I went for the nachos with beef but when they brought my order they said 'no protein' for the happy hour nachos. I'd like to start this review by saying I'm genuinely happy to have a bowling and entertainment center closer to home. It feels like the days of having plenty of bowling alley options are long gone, so having one nearby is a plus. That said, I'll begin with the positives. Pros: * Clean facility * Friendly front desk staff * Easy online reservations * Food is reasonably priced (I didn't order food during this visit, so I can't comment on quality) * Lane wait staff was very attentive to our needs. Cons: * Staffing shortages: We waited quite a while to get our bowling shoes and eventually had to go to the front desk for assistance. I felt bad that the staff member had to leave her post to help us. When the second half of our party arrived, they were given incorrect shoe sizes, and it didn't seem like the employee assisting was familiar with sizing. Additionally, there appeared to be limited inventory in certain sizes. * Cramped lane area: The bowling lane area is very compact, with little space between lanes. Our group of six adults constantly bumped into patrons in the neighboring lane, which made the experience feel crowded and uncomfortable. * Lack of organization: When we returned our shoes after our game, we found a large pile of shoes stacked on top of the return window with no attendant present. It also wasn't clear whether the shoes were being disinfected after use. The shoe area itself is quite small, which adds to the sense of disorganization. To wrap up, I understand this business is very new and likely still working out some operational kinks. I'd be open to returning in a few months and hope to see improvements by then. Overall, it's a very small bowling alley, and if you're looking for a more traditional bowling experience, you may want to consider a larger, more established venue. read more

It's a nice spot to have for the kids especially with not much to do up in PV. It has a cute arcade just for that. The food is amazing, but is very limited in options. They should add more entrees to the menu. They have a full on bar with speciality liquor on hand. But they need to do better with their bowling alley. The venue has been open for about 2 months and the lanes already show signs of damage from being under oiled. Which would have protected the lanes from the kid parties we saw who just chucked the balls onto the lane. Yup, the lanes are dry in the wrong places. As for the balls, they are cute with a billiards theme. But the holes are drilled too close together and not meant for adult hands, much less fingers. I have been here a couple of times with my friends and the ambiance is great. The only issue that I see besides them not being really organized, is the constant persistance from what seems to be an older gentlemen asking us to write reviews. I asked my waitress and she said he was one of the owners, while I understand it is a new business and they want to get the word out, but that also makes me uncomfortable as a guest and really ruins the experience for us. Not even managers at other restaurants do that. Just focus on the service & the reviews will naturally come. I'm leaving a 3 star review because of the food and drinks. Now that Gable House and PV Bowl are distant memories, a bowling alley is just what this community needed. Bowling 14 lanes. Front desk was super helpful. She helped my party get set up. We got shoes from a kiosk near the lanes. The kiosk has a neon sign saying shoes. At our lane, it was a bit tight with the other nearby lane. Service was excellent. Very attentive, prompt, and professional. Hats off to the young lady who helped us, took our drink and food orders, and waited on us. Away from the lanes is a bar. Good place for the adults to hang and get some liquid peace. Around the corner from the lanes is a mini arcade. Think a smaller sized D Busters. Wow. So awesome. The arcade games worked. We planned to bowl but ended up just getting drinks. Sitting anywhere didn't matter because the service was a mess. It took forever to be checked on, and when we ordered nachos, we were given no plates and one napkin for five people. When we moved closer to our party, we were told we had to close out because it was "bar territory." After that, no one knew who was responsible for our table the bar blamed the server, the server didn't know the table numbers, and we were left confused. An 18% gratuity was automatically added, which is unacceptable given how bad the service was. Being forced to tip for this is ridiculous. When we asked for a receipt, we were told there was no paper and a manager had to be involved. This place is disorganized, understaffed, and completely unprepared. We wanted something to do that was family friendly on New Year's Eve & saw that Level Up had just opened. We gave them a call & they said they had just opened for business! I made a 7:00 pm bowling reservation online. When we got there the place was busy with families bowling, kids playing in the arcade , & families eating in the dinning area. The owner welcomed us & let us know they were behind a bit & asked if we wouldn't mind waiting about 20 minutes which was perfectly fine with us. Once called, we got our shoes & lane. The food is straight forward bar food. Kids enjoyed their pizza & the adults enjoyed the drinks from the bar. Toward the end of end of our evening, one of the waiters brought out their hot chocolate chip cookie with ice cream on the house for the kids. Looking forward to coming back! read more

One the attendants was nice enough to swipe other working games to make up for the money the other games ate. The dining area is disorganized. They need a hostess so people know where to sit and get menus from. Ordered one pizza to try. It was just ok. They are still trying to figure out the service from the looks of it. Only 1 person was really doing anything while everyone else was just talking. Didn't do any bowling or the krazy darts. The place was half empty, echoing with that sad, post-mall-death vibe you only get at the Peninsula Mall, yet somehow we were told we couldn't stay without a reservation. A reservation. At an empty bowling alley. In a dying mall. Let that sink in. Chuck E. Cheese doesn't turn families away when there are open tables and lanes. Level Up? Oh, they absolutely will. Apparently the illusion of exclusivity matters more than actual customers. The whole experience felt pretentious for no reason--like someone slapped craft cocktails and LED lights onto an arcade and decided they were now too elite to let people in. Empty lanes, empty tables, empty atmosphere... but somehow still "fully booked." If you're going to act exclusive, at least be busy. Otherwise you're just a Chuck E.
