I want to give a huge THANK YOU to Dave, the unique pools and spa technician who fixed our spa…read more Dave let us know 2 hours ahead.of.time when he would arrive and arrived right on time at our home. Dave diagnosed the problem quickly, tested everything and got all up and running for us in no time. Great personality, very professional and highly recommend Dave and Unique Pools and Spas to others. We were led to believe the 2021 Wellis spa model we had decided upon was a good value at the Mercy Drive Store for $12,000. However, as we had just started looking we decided to shop around and our wallet is so happy we did. We ended up getting the EXACT same model (except a 2022) for $7499.99. Everything written into the $12,000. package at Unique PSB (steps, cover and @ Ease sanitizing system) was also included in the better priced deal. It was all delivered free of charge to the spot where I wanted it in my backyard set-up! It should also be noted that even the Unique PSB in Jacksonville gave me a considerably better price for the exact quoted system than the store on Mercy Drive. On a positive note- even though I would never buy anything from the store on Mercy Drive in Orlando, I will say that Alan, the salesman, spent a lot of time with us and answered all of our questions quite well. He seems to know "his stuff" and it is unfortunate that we were not able to purchase from him because he did spend a great deal of time with us. (I live in Orlando- not sure why my posted review says I am in CA!)

I have pictures and them saying the panel was installed by them. Then they blamed the issue on solar panels being installed after the pool was completed. The panel they installed had a loose hot wire and that caused a SHORT which back-feed power to the main circuit breaker panel on the side of the house and that caught on fire. Look at all the yelp ratings, most are one star for a reason.

I scheduled service in April 2025, and despite multiple confirmations, no one showed up -- not once, but twice. When I followed up, they admitted they forgot to log the repair. Seriously? After weeks of delays and zero accountability, my pool turned completely green and unusable. I've spent over $300 out of pocket trying to keep it under control with chemicals -- all because they couldn't be bothered to do their job. Then, after I left a polite but honest review, their rep told me they would no longer help and that I should call the manufacturer myself, saying they had "other things to do." They blamed their technician, the equipment, and even me -- anyone but themselves. This company clearly doesn't stand behind their work or care about customers once the sale is done. Avoid at all costs.

A Walk Through IKEA: A Test of Stamina, Direction, and Job Flexibility…read more January 10, 2026 My first serious trip to IKEA made me realize that this is not just a furniture store. It's a carefully designed one-way journey. The layout is extremely thoughtful--so thoughtful that it's almost impossible to visit just one section. Whether you're there to buy a single mug or simply "have a look," you will be guided through the entire store. I managed to do even better than that. I got lost. Not only did I get lost, I walked part of it twice. The most important detail: I was wearing four-inch stilettos. In IKEA, those are not shoes. They're a personal challenge. After what felt like a full hike, I finally reached the exit and thought I was done. That's when the real test began - checkout. Most stores at least give you options: self-checkout or cashier-assisted checkout. IKEA is very decisive. Self-checkout only. So there I was, scanning items, bagging them myself, slowly realizing I had taken on a new role. The screen even politely asked: "Are you a member?" I couldn't help laughing. I had just become a temporary cashier, without an employee discount, and without a paycheck. And then came the final surprise. At the exit - nothing. At Costco, for example, there's always someone checking receipts. At IKEA, the exit is completely empty. For a moment, you might think this reflects IKEA's deep trust in its customers. Then another thought occurs to you: maybe they also saved the salary of that employee. By the end of this IKEA trip, I had completed: a full-store walk, a detour with repetition, a high-heel endurance test, a self-checkout internship, and a quiet reflection on trust and cost control. Next time, I'll wear flat shoes. As for the salary and staff discount - I won't get my hopes up. I spent $53.69 in total that day. $29.95 went to pear-flavored sparkling water. Which means over half of my IKEA budget was... hydration. IKEA: where your legs get a workout, your patience is tested, and your self-checkout skills improve... all in one visit. I guess I overestimated my ability to wear high heels. I may have slightly overestimated my high-heel endurance. In hindsight, I clearly overestimated my ability to survive IKEA in high heels. I confidently assumed I could handle high heels at IKEA. I was wrong.
