Bowles Pools. We cannot say enough good things about them. My wife and I decided to install an in-ground pool at the beginning of this year. We contacted a few companies and got quotes for what we wanted. Most companies gave us quotes of varying prices along with upsale options. We were not feeling good vibes with any of them. After researching on Buildzoom, I came across Bowles Custom Pools &Spas. I liked what I saw so I reached out to them. Craig came to our home and listened closely to what we wanted and noted all of our property situational constraints. They promptly provided us with a competitive quote. We then went to their office where Joel walked us through our selections, and ultimately the contract. The permit was issued on March 13th, and Bowles started work immediately. Victoria the scheduler kept us apprized of every event, so there was no surprise appearances by subcontractors. Building a pool is messy business, but their subcontractors were very conscientious about their impacts. One subcontractor even commended us for choosing Bowles. I requested a Microglass treatment on the pool finish (and I recommend you do the same) and Bowles rapidly accommodated. Patti Bowles was always ready to answer questions or quick to get us answers. On June 13th we were dropping in the hoses and filling it up. The final inspection was completed on June 18th, and we were off and splashing. Bolwes maintain pool service for a month through Dales Gas, another wonderful company who salted the pool and balanced the chemicals. At the end, they gave us a "pool school" which was very helpful. The only issues we had was a need to relocate a downspout on the screen enclosure and a few "nubbies" in the pool finish. Both issues were resolved virtually immediately. Overall, we were very impressed with there performance. Bowles is a no nonsense, no pressure contractor. Having been a contractor myself, I was also impressed with the fact that we received no Notice to Owner from any suppliers or subcontractors. that tells you that they do business on the up and up, and have full confidence from their suppliers and subcontractors. This could not have been a better experience. The Bowles Family built us the most beautiful pool ever. He (Daryl) gave us a 10-12 week time frame for completion but he had us swimming in 9 1/2 weeks. Sub contractors were always very nice and did amazing detail work on our pool. The job site was kept clean and they always communicated any delays which were very few as you can tell by how fast we were done. I promise you will not be disappointed. My pool is gorgeous and everyone that sees it says it is one of the nicest pools they have seen in a long time. On top of all that the Bowles family are the nicest people you will ever work with. If you have any issue at all they give you 0 attitude about it and get it fixed the way you want it. Cannot go wrong with this family! read more

We could write up a laundry list of the problems that we experienced from Bowles' lack of project management to include, but not limited to, not following the agreed upon design, the timeframe being tripled what we were told, the damages to our property, and the nonexistent communication. I never even met our "project manager" over the course of 6 months. To my knowledge, he came to our property a total of 3 or 4 times. Instead, I will focus on one specific experience with the owner, Mr. Bowles. His team built the walkway from the pool deck to our detached garage too steep, which prevented our hinged garage door from opening more than 8". This obvious error, when shown to Mr Bowles, was defended with a condescending tone and downright disprespect. What I then realized is that it is obvious that Mr. Bowles attempts to prey on consumers with the hope that they can be tricked into paying additional money for Bowles Pool's mistakes. Despite all of the project's troubles, what's most concerning is the lack of an integrity at this company. read more

We are going into our second summer with our pool and we are so thankful we have it! It was not a perfect process but as we hear from neighbors who used different companies we are so glad we used Bowles! One neighbor is going on over a year waiting for American Pools to finish her pool (from contract signing to pool finish!). To be fair our property situation made us nightmare clients so we threw them some curveballs. Most issues we had with Bowles were subcontractor generated and occasionally failed communication but it would be unusual for this big a project process to be 100% blemish free. In the end we got the pool we wanted and we would recommend them (and have).You may pay a little more but you won't end up waiting over a year and you get a quality pool. read more

This was NOT a good experience. I contacted Bowles Custom Pools in mid August. It took them about a week to respond to my voicemail. I got a followed email on 8/19 asking for my land survey and that Darryl would reach out to me to set an appointment. I promptly sent the survey and full contact info, etc that day. After a couple of weeks and no call, I called back. I was told Darrick would be reaching out to set an appointment. Took me some follow up, but I finally got a text on 9/15 apologizing and asked if I still wanted a quote. Guy showed up on 9/16. After being told how busy they were and how lucky I was to now be on their radar at this stage of the bid, he jotted down some notes, walked off the yard area to guesstimate sizing, then asked me to text him all my contact info (again). He said I would have a design and quote the following Friday. I contacted him back again on 9/26. Got a response the next day saying I would have it Monday. Monday came and went still no call, text, or email. I grew tired of begging them to give me the time of day, so finally gave up. I called Blue Dream Pools, got an immediate response and within a week of receiving my info had a very professional meeting with our designer (Bonnie) who did a fantastic job of presenting us tons of features and options that included an integrated spa. She also walked us through all of the options and explained the differences. Not only did we get to see the design, but it was drawn with our house so we could see what it would look like in our backyard and not just some random pool pic. 5 Stars to Bonnie and the Blue Dream team!! read more

Pool was built less than a year ago and the pump needs replacing. Not working at all. Called to inquire about servicing the pump and was told the warranty only extends to the original owner. Totally could understand if it had been five plus years but the pump isn't even a year old. The rep didn't want to offer me any type of assistance or solutions. STAY AWAY from this company, your pool may look great but the equipment will be shitty. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND HIRE A LAWYER TO REVIEW THEIR CONTRACT BEFORE YOU SIGN IT --- it makes the property owner responsible for any and all damage caused by them during construction. I had to pay thousands of dollars out of my pocket to repair damage they caused during construction. They are also quick to hire a collection attorney and file a construction lien on your property --they apparently have this game all figured out. I would seriously think twice before hiring this contractor. read more
