After a week, I just wrote a bad review, thinking they did not want our business. The owner reached out to me after that and explained his technician was new and forgot to send us the quote. He apologized profusely, and he went above and beyond to make things right. You could tell he prides himself and his company on the quality of work they do. He ended up helping us repair our drying machine that just had a belt snap a few days ago. He was honest and sincere and very knowledgeable. Made the whole experience great. If I need any repairs in the future, I will only contact him and his company. He made what started off as a bad experience into a great experience. Highly recommended! ,

After a very frustrating 30 minutes at Home Depot trying to figure out the parts we needed to no avail, I messaged Appliance Solutions before we left the parking lot. By the time we were home, he had already called me back, and we scheduled a time for him to come and help. He got the job done very quickly and efficiently. Box Appliance provides unsurpassed service. I needed repairs to my freezer in a Sub-Zero refrigerator. First of all, they will work to satisfy you such that you would never use another repair company. Secondly, Andrew who they sent out to perform the repairs is probably the most experienced Sub-Zero repairman in the industry. You have only to talk to him to come to that conclusion. They are very thorough. If they observe another issue with your refrigerator, they will bring it to your attention and fix it. They specialize in Sub-Zero, but they are also knowledgeable in other refrigerators. To my knowledge, they are the only Certified Sub-Zero repair company in Southern California. Their back office staff is outstanding. They keep you informed of the status of your job. They are very personable and a joy to talk to. None of your concerns are too small for them to address. They have automated systems that other repair companies wish they had. Over the years, I have used Box twice, and each time I come away with the same impression. If you want your refrigerator to be repaired properly, there is nobody better company than Box Appliance. They are not the cheapest, but they are the best. Do you really want to have your Sub-Zero serviced by a company that is in a second class to Box? read more

I can't say enough good things about Box Appliance customer support and their technician, Luis. They are hands down the most trustworthy repair companies I have ever worked with. I have a built-in Subzero refrigerator that would fluctuate temperature between 34-68 degrees over a 48 hour period. Before the technician came out, the representative at Box Appliance was amazingly honest. She let me know that given the situation, the worst case scenario would be rebuilding the refrigerator which would be incredibly expensive and she said if that was the outcome. she recommended putting the money into a new refrigerator (which they don't sell). How many companies would recommend NOT doing an expensive repair?! Fortunately, our technician, Luis, was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to determine the problem. We were way out of warranty but Luis suggested I contact Subzero customer support to see if they could defray some of the repair cost...to my surprise, they covered the cost of the $400 part! I am beyond grateful to them! Subzero no longer produces a product that is compatible so I was looking at having to replace both the stand alone refrigerator and matching freezer along with modifying the cabinets above as the newer models are 11" taller! read more

Had a very knowledgeable tech come to house to inspect a 30+ year SubZero refrigerator. Came on time, after 30-60 minutes of analyzing what ailed the machine thoroughly ran through the four elements that should be considered the cause of the problem we had. And insisted that in addition to his opinion, that I should talk to his boss. What was amazing was, they both felt that for me to undertake the four repairs that were required, that the cost and the distinct possibility that the age of the unit would almost certainly lead to more problems, that I should not do the work. That it was time for a new refrigerator. Box does not sell refrigerators. They repair them. So they walked away from a $2,500 to $4,000 repair gig -- a repair that because of the age of the refrigerator would not be subject to a warranty. Sure, I wish they could have saved me the hassle of the failing machine (by the way, the tech did get it back up and running) and the pain of hunting down a new refrigerator. But only a reputable expert has the strength and honesty to say no, this is not a job that should be undertaken. I'll never go to another refrigerator repair outfit other than Box Appliance. read more

We recently had a subzero 48' French door 48' fridge installed and after the installers left we noticed the doors were misaligned and we also had an issue of the fridge light sometimes being dimmed Box appliance was contracted by subzero to address the issue We received updates on when our service technician Luis would arrive which is really nice. When Luis arrived he was very friendly and explained what was wrong with the installation and set about correcting it - was a height adjustment required not just a tweak of one of the doors He was very careful place the grill and bolts he removed to work on correction on mats that he brought which protected our wood floors. After he finished the doors were perfect. Also he explained that the fridge light dimming was due to a night mode setting on the fridge lol He took the time to explain all the fridge settings which our original installers never did. All in all it was a wonderful experience and Luis was very knowledgeable and super friendly and took time to explain correction etc read more

The appliance company, used thru the extended warranty, came out and replaced some parts because our freezer was not cooling properly for a few months, and then could not get the power back on to the Sub Zero refrigerator.. They said it was an electrical problem, they would have their office call an electrician, and then left.That did not happen even after we made 4 calls to them. Our electrician said they had created a "short" in the refrigerator. We relayed that to them and they still could not do anything since the reports from their service dept. had not come thru yet. Even though it was the start of the 4th of July holiday weekend, we called Box on Thursday and they squeezed us in for an appointment the very next day!!! Leo came out and found a few wires were placed in the wrong spot and now power is back on and hopefully will stay that way. True professionals, curteous and understanding. BTW: the warrant company was closed on Friday and did not have voicemail!!! read more

My Subzero refrigerator was built over 30 years ago, and the door hinge on a heavy wood paneled door finally broke, separating the door from the body. This is clearly an unusual issue. However, Box Appliance came to the rescue. The Subzero technician I initially called told me that only Box Appliance could repair the door. My experience was outstanding! The company "remotely" identified the problem and secured the necessary "out of production" parts. The customer support staff was polite and very responsive to every question I asked and each time, I called or texted. In addition, the technical staff supervisor took the time to explain the repair process and the risks associated with repairing a 30-year-old Subzero. My service from first contact to completion was of the highest quality and I was treated with utmost respect. If I evaluate the experience from 1-5 with 5 being the best, I award Box Appliance a 10. read more

I am having problems with my Sub Zero for while which is only 3 years old .. I spent more than 20 k for it so not to have issues with it but have had recurrent problems with its compressor , then door switches and finally the coil evaporator box appliance has been very receptive and thorough in their investigation and repairing it as it goes. waiting for parts is always a issue but in the end they are doing the job it's a hassle to take off from work and empty the refrigerator multiple times . initially quite a bit of expensive food had to be thrown off Sal has done great job from box appliance, always keeping me informed also the front office and schedulers of box appliance. hopefully I have solution from Sub Zero on their flagship refrigerator and don't end up repairing again and again. I personally think they should consider replacing with better unit this issues is going for more than 3 months now read more

My Sub Zero refrigerator stopped cooling. I called another repair company, and they came out that afternoon. The tech correctly diagnosed the problem as a computer board problem. I was quoted $3,000 total for parts and labor. The technician said that the part would need to be ordered and would not be warrantied. I called Sub Zero and they referred me to Box Appliance Repair, an authorized Sub Zero service company. They too diagnosed the same problem. They had the part on their truck and installed the new computer board for a total of $590. I am happy that my refrigerator is now working perfectly, and I was not ripped off for an additional $2,400. Kudos to the Box technicians, Angel and Marty. They were courteous, knowledgeable, efficient and honest. Kudos to Box for being an ethical and reliable company. My Sub Zero refrigerator was due for routine service as well as a problem in temperature where I thought the door edges inside felt warm. Ben arrived and immediately found the problem (my fan had stopped working) and quickly made the repair. He explained everything to me and answered all my questions thoroughly and was professional in his interactions with me. I also appreciated the scheduling process where I was informed about the time frame, where I was on the schedule, my time slot opened up earlier than expected but I was contacted to see if that was ok, the technician's' name and picture were sent before he arrived and everything ran so smoothly. Nowadays it seems like other service companies don't really care about the "service" part provided to the customer but Box Appliance has always put their customers first and their technicians, (thank you Ben!) are outstanding! read more

Phil Arias came out and fixed our Sub Zero freezer first, very nice and friendly. He did not have the part, so had to come back two days later to replace it. The new part (fan) created a very high pitch whining sound and was at least twice as loud as the old fan and the refrigerator fan. He was sent out to replace it, but in his opinion, he said it was running normal and refused to replace it. After several attempts to get him to replace it, and starting to get frustrated with his responses, he offered to send out another tech for an additional opinion. Luis Cabrera was sent out the next day and agreed it was loud and he also heard the whining sound. He replaced the fan very quickly and tested the unit. It ran perfectly and much quieter, with no high pitch whining. VERY, VERY happy with the outcome and love Box Appliance! Thank you. read more

I can't recommend Box Appliances enough! From start to finish, the service was outstanding. They were punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and diagnosed the problem with my Wolf oven quickly and accurately. What really impressed me was their attention to detail. While repairing the oven, the technician noticed that one of the oven knobs had been installed incorrectly from the beginning, something no one else had ever caught. Between being misled by the "fake" Box Appliance group and dealing with an aging S/Z refrigerator, its been a tough few months for us. In an effort to try to keep our refrigerator going for a few more years, we decided to "bite the bullet" and pay the "real" Box Appliance to diagnose/repair/replace whatever was needed to accomplish our objectives. The tech they sent today (Sal) was on-time, knowledgeable, and listened to our concerns/objectives. After an hour, he successfully completed all of the work required, and saved us more than $1,700 in labor/parts he determined were unnecessary. Although it remains to be seen how much longer our unit lasts, we greatly appreciate B/A's and Sal's professionalism in not charging us for services they didn't believe were required or appropriate under the circumstances. A great experience. Brandon, the tech technician was thorough, educational, and informative. Both the oven and the refrigerator/freezer needed parts and work. I was kept informed by the office as to the receipt of the parts and scheduling for the work. I was also kept informed as to Brandon's other service calls during the day and updated on his arrival time. He needed to exit and enter the house several times to access the breaker switch and retrieve parts from his vehicle in the rain. He was very cautious and thoughtful each time as to not bringing the elements from the outside. He worked quickly and efficiently to make the repairs as well as educate me as to what I needed to do to follow up. This is a first-rate authorized Sub-Zero repair company! Scheduling is excellent: they notify you the day before with a time window and they honor that window. My technician, Bryant, was personable, intelligent and experienced. He knew exactly what to do and was able to diagnose and solve my issue quickly. He got me up and running within the hour. I have had terrible experiences with technicians who represent themselves as factory-trained and authorized, only to have them make expensive mistakes. The basic service fee is a little pricey, but it is completely worth it. The repair and parts estimates are very reasonable. I am so relieved to have a Sub-Zero repair company that I can trust. I needed a new gasket for my refrigerator. It took Box Appliance a long time to schedule this repair, but once I had the date and time, everything went very well. They gave me a window of time in which to expect the repairman. I really appreciated the texts to let me know when he was likely to arrive, including when he was in the driveway. Mauri, the technician, did a quick clean replacement of the gasket and explained how we could avoid that repair in the future. He also noticed that the message board was signaling a light bulb that was out - after carefully looking for the lightbulb and not finding it, he updated the refrigerator and that message went away. We had a representative from Big Joe appliance repair service come to our home and give us a quote of $2400 to fix our Sub-Zero refrigerator that was less than 3 years old. Ice maker didn't work and the freezer drawer didn't shut properly. He listed items to be replaced and high labor costs. Box Appliance came out and said that brackets for the freezer drawers were installed incorrectly eventually causing the door not to close properly. This caused the ice maker to shut down. He reversed the brackets on the freezer drawer and reset the ice maker. Everything works like new. He said that normally a service call with work costs about $250, however, our refrigerator was still under warranty and therefore, no cost to fix. read more

Had a technician come out for minor issues with our Sub-Zero and Cove appliances that are still under warranty, and he (Andrew) was super helpful, knowledgeable, and thorough. He took the time to explain what the issues may be and resolved them all. He even took time to show me some neat bells and whistles on my Wolf range and microwave. When the technician arrived, I explained what we needed and he immediately said it was $150. I informed him that Mark said it was $80 flat for the service. After an uncomfortable few minutes, he agreed to do it. The compressor requires 1-3psi of freon. The technicians initial measurement was at 0psi. When he said it was done it was at 0.2psi. Barely adding any freon to the system. As a result the fridge is still not as cold as it needs to be. The next morning after the service, I informed Mark of the situation and he would look into it and get back to me. Mark ended up refunding the service call, which was appreciated.
