When this storage company was run by old management and previous owner there were no issues. Since…read moreit has switched to Extra Space there has been multiple issues. First, the elevators; either one or the other has been broken. One elevator has been broken now for almost a month. The inside of the elevators are dirty and smear marks seem to never disappear off the walls. The floors of the storage unit never seemed to be swept. My wife and I move things in and out of our storage and dust and particles are always flying around. Those same dust and particles seem to always be there, some for weeks. With previous ownership, the floors were always cleaned and often we would see the employees sweeping and taking out the trash. With prior management and owner, the AC was always on. The inside was nice and cool and you hardly broke a sweat when moving things in an out of your storage, now it's like a sauna in there and makes it uncomfortable to even more a little. Since Extra Space has taken over, the AC has been non-existent. The last thing is the gate time. The new hours were an upgrade from previous management, 6am-10pm, but the only issue is that offer the elevators are turned off before 10 or the gate doesn't open. I was there at 930 trying to get to my unit and my code did not work. My wife and I have a small business and need to get to our inventory, but when the hours listed don't match, this causes us to lose money. This was never an issue with previous management.

Many places had high base rates, misleading "free month" promotions, price increases, and extra insurance or admin fees. We also checked Trojan and Extra Space--Trojan, in particular, advertised two free months online but only honored it if you moved in exactly on the 1st of the month, which is unrealistic. In contrast, A1 honored a free month even though we moved in mid-month and ultimately gave us a much better deal. Michelle made the whole experience smooth--highly recommend!

Been with this storage place for almost 2 years. The staff were also helpful in guiding me to tie down my items to my truck to avoid getting pulled over. Did not have any issues during my time regarding the safety of my items and was content with how clean and maintained the location was. The staff was very kind, and it was a wonderful experience. Staff JO was great, knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. I ended up getting a unit but I had to buy one of their locks which cost me $21. I was told that the unit needs to be secured once you sign the contract. I am not sure why it needs to be secure (with a lock) after you get the unit when it wasn't secured (with a lock) before you got the unit especially if you do not have any belongings. I feel that this is the company's way of selling you a lock. So bring a lock.
