had to get it online before it sold out which it did

I love this store. If I win the lotto, half will go to this store. Their stuff isn't cheap but also not too crazy. Their loungefly backpacks are so cute and sell out. When in doubt, just buy it. Trust. I saw some cute stuff I didn't buy at the store and had to get them online when they locked us down again.

One of my favorite visits to this store! I went looking for a Kingdom Hearts shirt and found a sweater I loved instead. CJ helped me and was both very friendly and helpful. I found a great deal and had a fun experience at this location. I appreciate CJ's help and patience with me! So happy he was there to help :)

I've been coming to this store since it opened. I'm in here at least 1-2 times each month. I'm always interested in checking out what's new and what deals they are having. They have some great promos from time to time. I have purchased a good number of gifts at this store, some for myself but tons more for friends and family. I bought 4 Lilo & Stitch T-shirts here towards the end of last year and my family members and I all wore them to breakfast during our visit to Aulani. They were quite a hit. It was perfect though too, it featured Stitch on the back with a Hawaiian license place that I believe read, "Aloha." I have purchased other items as well: crockpots with a Starwars pattern on the outside, cookie jars, key chains, buttons and pins, lanyards, mini backpacks, stickers for laptops, scarves, pj's, and other fun doo dads, etc. They've all been a big hit. I enjoy chatting with the employees. They are all so sweet. I think one of the girls there has got to be my fave employee. She recognizes my lil one and they always chit chat when we come and visit the store. Mind you, my lil one is the size of a 1yr old although she is older than 1. Unfortunately, I cannot remember her name as I am writing this review. No matter, the folks who work here have all been really helpful. I haven't ever had any issues with returns or exchanges, although I think I've ever only done 2 here. Things always worked out so easily. This store can get pretty busy during the weekends so you might have to be a tad more patient with people but you can find a lot of fun little things here. I always like to look for clearance or sale Stance brand socks here. They have had some fun Disney print ones. I always buy 'em for my hubby so he can wear 'em when he goes golfing.

Love all the geeky merch here!! It's the perfect place for gifts for all the nerdy friends in your life. This is like a less crowded and better version of hot topic with better merchandise and better lighting. All the Bob's burgers, Mario, Zelda, Harry Potter and Disney stuff you can imagine.

The shop has another location in Hudson, NY. [Parking]: Metered parking in Atwater Village, but luckily I found a metered parking spot across from the shop at 5 PM on Saturday. [Selection]: Very organized shop as pens are ordered by rainbow color. The shop sells a decent selection of Valentine's Day cards. The staff was friendly and even asked customers on what they were looking for. In addition to greeting cards and stationery, they also have candles, tote bags, etc. The shop also offers gift wrapping service and apparently they even sell red rose bouquets during Valentine week. [Gift wrapping service]: The service is only available at brick & mortar locations. Materials are purchased separately and holiday rush fees may be applied. The shop offers complimentary gift wrap on all in-store purchases (customer's choice of kraft box or kraft wrap with twine). During the busy holiday season, the staff may asks customers to drop off gifts and pick up at a later determined time. * Small (e.g. Small Book, Journal, Pen Box, Candle) = $8 * Medium (e.g. Shoe Box, iPad, Shirt Box) = $10 * Large (e.g. Oversized Books, Laptop, Coat) = $12 * Extra Large (oversized) (e.g. Oversized Kids Toys, Bedding Sets, Large Framed Art, TV) = $20+ [Conclusion]: The shop has a more diverse selection and is not limited to just Japanese style cute stationery. This is really a one-stop shop for anyone looking for a last minute gift.

Treehaus, on the other hand, had a ton of pieces that I've never seen before, either in Los Angeles or elsewhere. This shop carries a couple lines of interesting jewelry collections (I particularly liked the more industrial/brutalist of them), a range of adult and baby clothes and an interesting and eclectic line of eye wear. While the adult clothing skews toward femme, I would describe many of them as unisex, which fits the cool queer/feminist vibe of the shop. There were a lot of cool housewares that, again, I've never seen before. These range from the practical (metal soap dishes) to the purely aesthetic (fun art prints of famous spots in LA.) Lots of retro designs can be found to decorate your living space. Other things I really enjoyed: a human bone and organ ink stamp collection, fun notebooks and adorable stuffed animals. And of course, they had a great collection of books and cards. Prices were on par for quality. It's very middle of the road for a gift shop or boutique. The clerks on duty were friendly and personable. I would definitely have felt comfortable going to them with questions. I will definitely return the next time I'm shopping for a friend.

You will find a wide range of gifts, at very reasonable prices. Some of these items include small ceramic pieces such as vases and small dishes suitable for stashing jewelry or other trinkets, crocheted animals and artistically designed maps of cities. I have also enjoyed the handmade soaps and other lovely, fragrant body products. I have often admired the jewelry on display, made by artisans running small businesses. There are a number of very interesting pieces: a gold/silver duo-tone necklace recently caught my eye and there are a number of pieces using labradorite and other less "mainstream" stones. As someone who write people frequently via snail mail, I have come to rely on Sumi's as one of my primary supplier of cards. Regardless of when I shop, I always find something that either a) cracks me up or b) is perfect for a message to a particular friend of family member. You will also find cute stuffed animals, scarves, posters, naughty cross-stitch patterns and more. Sumi's has a gift for just about anyone. Sumi and the other staff members have been universally friendly and willing to chat about various pieces they carry in the store. If you are shopping for presents, I would highly recommend a visit.
