If I could give this BoxLunch location more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Huge shout-out to Sarah, Caitlyn & Ally for providing some of the best customer service I've experienced. They're incredibly friendly, always smiling. Their positive energy is contagious & truly makes every visit enjoyable. They always go above & beyond by taking the time to check the back for certain requests & offering great recommendations. Shopping here is so much fun. Checkout is fast & effortless. They even explained how to make the most of my reward earnings so I could save on future purchases. It's those little extra touches that make a big difference. The store itself is fantastic! They always have some kind of great sale or promotion happening, making it hard to leave empty-handed. Their selection is full of unique & fun merchandise for every fandom, with something new to discover on every visit. Without a doubt, this is the best BoxLunch location. While at the Outlets at Orange, I walked into this store to kill some time but walked out with a cool gift. This store has pop culture related merchandise. Anime, Disney (ie - princesses, Stitch), Harry Potter, Funko, Nightmare Before Christmas, Star Wars, Hello Kitty, etc. There was a Ghibli section featuring Totoro items and I grabbed a cool ramen bowl as a gift for a friend. I also picked up some Japanese candy and chips. Sara was the peppy and friendly employee who helped me. This is a store full of fun stuff, great to browse or find unique items. read more

I've always gone tot his location but today they have it gated off for some reason. And asking people if they have phone numbers with them at the door just to go in and shop. Got the ick and did brows for a bit but in the end I couldn't spend my money there after that. Made it seem like it's Sam's Club or a Costco or something. read more

Super friendly employees and great selection. Lots of different sales and offers, so a great value as well. They even gave me free shipping for an item I wanted that they somehow had in every size but mine, plus a first time customer sort of coupon. Even though this place was just crammed with great stuff, everything was displayed in a way that you could browse easily. I stopped by this BoxLunch store in the Orange Outlet because my wife was shopping at the store next door. So instead of just standing there, I went inside BoxLunch to look at their stuff. When I walked in, a worker greeted me and asked if I needed any help. I told her that I was just to see what they have. The Funko Pop is toward the back of the store and they had some decent selections. They had some Nightmares Before Christmas merch at the front and they also had a decent amount of backpacks too. read more

What an awesome store for your anime needs. They have a good selection of Hayao Miyazaki movie merchandise and other popular anime. The products are easily accessible and the store is very organized. The employees are very nice, helpful and are fun to talk to. Their website has so many items, and you can buy things online to be shipped to the store for free. I love this shop. I wrote this earlier but wanted to make sure it was here too. Best Box Lunch ever hands down! I went here with my family and the whole time and received incredible customer service from the employees. They're all incredibly helpful and outgoing so it wasn't hard finding the right sections and deals. I especially had a wonderful experience with Julie and or Julia? This young lady with the heart glasses helped us with finding the Stitch bags with a smile and was nothing but a huge sweetheart. We'll definitely be coming here from now on for family trips. 10/10 read more

So I was out at Block in Orange last night and was pleasantly surprised to find out that Box Lunch opened recently. I had to to check it out and the store was next to Ann Taylor. Until today I have never had a bad experience at any of the BoxLunch locations. I received very poor customer service from an associate at the cashier's register. I was later informed she is the manager, Jen. I came to the store to pick up my online order today 11/28/2023 between 2:00 and 2:20pm. When I received the items I verified them against my order confirmation/receipt from my email. I let the associate know my pick up was a few items short, namely some board games and a jersey. She then returned with one of my three missing items and stated the other two items could not be picked up because they were not listed on her store confirmation receipt. She then showed me her computer screen that stated two items had been removed. After checking my inbox I received an email about one item being removed, but not two. The items that had been removed from my online order were within eye shot around the store. Considering that I had already attempted to pay for them but they had been removed from my order I asked the employee what the deal with that was. She stated again that the items had been canceled and she could only provide me with what was confirmed on the store's end. After a brief back and forth I asked for a receipt proving which items I was leaving the store with. This employee was rude, childish and hostile from start to finish. Upon leaving I asked a different member of staff if there was a manager I could talk to about the unnecessary attitude and the discrepancies with my online order confirmation emails. I was directed back to the employee I had initially spoken with. Choosing not to go full circle I exited the store. A quick submission to customer service on the BoxLunch website led to an email chain where my questions about the canceled items were answered quickly and politely. The store itself was clean and had lots of cool merchandise, although I do not see myself coming back. read more

This is a brand new Boxlunch location! It just opened last Friday and still has that new store smell. The staff is super friendly and helpful here! This location is near the vans skatepark of the mall, but is also tucked in a corner. So it can be easy to walk right past it. I look forward to visiting this location again sometime soon! read more

Luis is awesome. We were Christmas shopping for our kids and he rung us up. Asked if we found everything, which we hadn't found one item, he checked all locations and it wasn't available anywhere. Something lit up and he remembered seeing one and he asked us for a minute. He left the register to go search and came back with the last one seemingly anywhere in Orange County. He helped us price match online prices and then dug in deeper and found out I was military and gave me a discount on the items that weren't on sale. I came in to inquire about a return on 2/15/2023 in the evening/ between 6&7pm. I didn't catch the managers name but I wish I would've. I've been a customer of this location since they opened and always found that the employees were a breath of fresh air. I asked the manager if I could return an item that had been purchased over 30 days ago. I didn't need a refund, I was simply asking for an exchange or store credit since I shop here often. She quickly turned me away and didn't give me any alternatives. It seemed she didn't want to help but we were the only customers there to begin with. Also, she wasn't approachable and seemed annoyed. A nice lady working there then approached us and asked if we needed help, I said well it's cause I read your store policy before coming in and was wondering if I could return this item. ****For Reference**** ( BOXLUNCH RETURN POLICY: "If you do not have the original receipt or original purchase date is greater than 30 days, we will be happy to issue a gift card credit at the current selling price"). She said we needed to speak to the manager and I said "oh so she's the manager", I smiled and told her it was ok (didn't want to try given the managers initial attitude). As we walked out I over heard the manager tell her employee "they can't just go ask behind my back and ask you". I simply just walked away to avoid confrontation but honestly it was the employee who approached us and I was just confused. I found her to be unprofessional and apparently ....unaware of her own store policies . Ps: I was able to get this taken care of at the Mainplace location. My first bad experience here, but other than that 5 stars for all of the rest of the employees. read more

Would have been 5 stars but there was one single employee that almost ruined our experience. Came in and we had several bags from other stores and we were immediately rushed by one single employee who just kept eyeing us. My parents hated feeling like we were doing something wrong so they left the store with all the shopping bags. However, Kyle saved our experience! Such a cool and funny dude. We bought our stuff and started to walk out and we saw the other employee eyeing us to make sure we weren't taking anything. Wish we would have asked for the other employees name but we were getting even more frustrated. read more

I visited Box Lunch today and was extremely disappointed by the male staff. The item I wanted to buy was only available online but the staff assured me that they are able to place an order through the store with free shipping. I asked them to confirm it's free shipping because if it's not, there was another item I found in store that I would buy instead. They assured me it was free and charged my card. Upon looking at the receipt I saw that they indeed did charge me for shipping. The girl that had placed my order went to take a break so I asked the other staff, Armando (tall, older man with painted checkered nails) about it and unfortunately he was very rude and condescending, saying it's their policy. That is fine if that's the policy however, they had just told me a moment ago that it would be free of charge after I asked them multiple times. I left the store but figured I can talk to the associate who placed my order and see if they can correct the charge. There was a line outside the store to enter (I also waited in this line before entering the first time) and I told the staff at the storefront that I just left a minute ago and wanted to talk to the cashier as I was charged incorrectly by them. He went to talk to Armando and came back and told me that Armando said to wait at the end of the outside line to re-enter the store again. I was astonished they would tell me to wait after I had just purchased something from them moments ago and was charged incorrectly. It seemed like Armando wanted me to wait at the end of the line as an attempt to make me leave instead of trying to fix his team's mistake on this. Thankfully, the woman standing in the front of the line saw what happened and how I was being treated and let me take her place line. After I re-entered the store I waited in the checkout line and then asked Armando if the associate who placed my order is available. He said he can call her but it won't make a difference as he is the manager. He went on to say that since I used a coupon in my order it's like the shipping is free anyways. No, regardless I was still charged for and paid for shipping charges even after the team confirmed to me I would not be charged. Armando said I can contact customer service on my own fo fix this. I am shocked that someone so rude and unprofessional was appointed as the manager. I worked in the retail industry before and can tell that he didn't follow protocols and poorly handled the situation overall. Why should the customer have to contact customer service on their own time for a mistake that the staff did? If you assured me the shipping is free but charged me for it, you should hold yourself accountable and acknowledge your mistake. The entire time Armando's behavior was very unprofessional and condescending. I left the store feeling insulted by him and will not be returning to this location. read more
