I LOVE LESBIAN BARS! One of the oldest running lesbian bars, this place was on my bucket list for years and my partner and I finally made it in! When visiting they had a cute little sale going on with vendors and little boutiques and my partner bought leather pants! There's a huge, beautiful outside space and a very retro game room. We met the owner who was so incredibly happy to meet us- we don't them we were visiting from DC- and just couldn't have been more exciting! Went during the day, so didn't get to see the night life vibe, which I've heard is beautiful and chaotic and fun! But even stopping in the afternoon was well worth it! read more

We went a couple weeks ago & had a decent time. HOWEVER, someone in our group asked the DJ to play anything by Chappell Roan & the DJ said that wasn't dance music. What?! Then they said they were going to play it but we stayed for a few hours & never heard it. We know someone who has been there multiple times & they said there is a clear lack in LGBTQ music, which I've seen mentioned in other reviews as well so that's really interesting. Seems like the DJ just plays what you would hear at any club & doesn't bother to see what this specific group of people may want to hear which is just lazy. Other than that, it wasn't a bad time, nothing fancy but a good crowd. I will say I am typically a lightweight when it comes to alcohol & I had 3 drinks & barely felt them. read more

My friend used to be a bartender here and recommended this spot for its karaoke. I didn't partake for very long, but a fun experience nonetheless. I loved how chill and low key the vibe was, made me feel like my drunk singing was accepted. The drinks were good, the bartenders successfully got the party started haha. My wife and I have been talking about going to a bar like this for a couple years after an amazing experience we had at Cheer Up Charlies in Austin TX. After some research Boycott seemed like the best place to go. I was a little bit nervous being a man in a lesbian bar. Everyone treated both of us so nice. We happened to go on a night when there was a burlesque show and were able to purchase tickets. I was not the only straight man at the bar and I felt very welcome and comfortable the entire time. My wife had the time of her life watching the show and she made a few friends. We can't wait to go back and will add Boycott Bar to our frequently visited bars. read more

You can always count on having a good time here. You will always feel like you're the main character since they care so much about their customers, they will always go above and beyond for you. Ok. So after dinner with some friends we jumped on some bicycles and ventured out into the town... we ended up at Boycott. We walked up to the bar and Audrey, the best bartender in the 50 United States and quite possibly the entire galaxy just happened to be working. After ordering some sex on the beach, she pulls track lighting out out of the clear blue sky. She's not Audrey anymore. No way! She's Mary Poppins!! So we drank our sex on the beach and watched Mary Poppins mix up a few other drinks and in TRUE Mary Poppins fashion she added a spoonful of sugar and made the medicine go down for everyone who came in. Legit. If ya need a chill place to go out and have a drink, a spoon full of medicine or some track lighting, go ask for Mary Poppins. And tell her Kim and Dusty sent you. But not to worry. My review is better late than never! I celebrated my 35th birthday here on November 21st and all I wanted to do was see a drag show. Of course, I reached out to my network on Facebook and had so many recommendations of where to go. One of my good work friends suggested I go celebrate at Boycott and see the Thursday night Doll Factory Drag show. Wow! It was the best fun night out in a really long time. Boycott has such a fun vibe right when you enter the building you can feel this exciting energy. The show was entertaining and good fun! Georgina the Doll is a wonderful host of the Doll Factory shows. I will be back to celebrate another friends birthday soon! First of all, Audrey knows how to get the party started and her amazing drinks flowed throughout my celebratory night. Ask for the Sex with an Alligator shot or the Michalade shot ( a series of 3). You would never know it was alcohol... so delicious and festive. Get your squad together, turn up the glam, wear something hot and be ready to have a fantastic night at this place. The energy is everything exciting here! ;) I highly recommend especially if your visiting Phoenix on a business work trip or want to be wild and have a fun night out. It was not only in fun and chill but the staff there are excellent! The door dude, the dj the bartenders... all incredible! I met Nicky the bartender who made some bomb a pizza and drinks! The owner Audrey made us feel like family and was incredibly hospitable! The whole vibe is authentic, fun and everyone here watches out for one another. We were something of regulars at a lesbian bar in NYC and it was nice to be back in a similar atmosphere, but with more space to turn around and allowed more comfort. As I waited for the doors to open, because I wanted to visit this place that bad-I mean the name is awesome, I was greeted by the owner: Audrey. What a pleasant surprise! Walking in, we found ourselves in a hip, open and inviting space. Great selection of alcohol, with a nice pour. Thursday's, Friday's, and Saturday's have a live DJ that gets the party started at 9:00 pm. As of 12/18, they are going to offer happy hour and will be open at 6:00 am. If there was ever a Cheers bar in the Phoenix gay scene, this would be it. The bartenders are super friendly, always remember your drink, and make you feel completely welcome. I moved to AZ a little over a year ago and Boycott was the first bar I checked out. Very nice and welcoming environment. The staff is awesome and drinks aren't overpriced like other places I've been to in the area. So happy I was able to find a place that is for US! Even happier to support a woman owned business. The worst ever. If I could give them a minus rating I would. Their website says they open at 5:00 p.m., they do not. They could at least have a noticeable sign at the front door stating the hours, they do not. The email address on their website does not work. They do not answer the phone. There is no excuse for the website not to be up-to-date. I am sure there is more than one person running the bar. Get someone down there to open the bar on time. Get someone down there to at least put a note on the door explaining what's going on. It appears they don't care about their customers and they have no respect for the community. read more

This is such a great bar with GREAT VIBES! This is the place where you can go have a fun time and no worry about anything else! My Favorite bartender is Joselyn! My girlfriend and I have made it our mission to support the last remaining lesbian spaces & so of course we had to check out Boycott Bar while we were in Phoenix for the weekend. The place was lively and the music was great. So many of our favorite throwbacks and some newer Top 40 was played on Saturday night. The owner of the bar was walking around, making sure everyone was okay & having a nice night. We were able to talk to her for a minute and express our gratitude for keeping lesbian spaces open. People of all ages were in the bar and everyone seemed to be having a great time. It did not feel cliquey like some other gay and lesbian bars sometimes seem to feel. The owner is one of the coolest, most authentic people I've ever met -- and i know a lot of cool effing people! -- and everyone I met there was on that same level. Not to mention that there were at least 5 people singing karaoke who were legitimately better vocalists than Taylor Swift!
