I had passed this store for years going to Stop and Shop. You wouldn't think much of it being in the strip mall. Once I began dating my then boyfriend, he told me how great a store it was and how nice a guy Brad was. Yet I still hadn't ventured in. On Christmas night, my boyfriend held out a box while on bended knee. The box had Brads store printed on the lining. I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am! All of the little things I've learned about this ring since I got it, make it even more special. My fiance spent the last 4 months secretly designing it with Brad who had painstakingly searched and scoured the country (if not world!) for the perfect 2ct. black diamond for my center stone. The setting is a limited edition Alison Kaufman that Brad only had 1 of in his store and as it turns out, several customers who are disappointed they did not buy it first. I went in to get the ring cleaned (free for life!) after Christmas and the staff was beyond nice. They all knew who I was before I even said my name because of the uniqueness of my ring. Brad listened to my fiance and did exactly what he asked for to create the most amazing piece of jewelry that I have ever seen. I get more compliments on the ring than I ever imagined I could. Black diamonds are not very common in engagement rings but it was what we wanted and I don't think any other jeweler in the area could have given us what Brad did. On top of the gorgeous ring, I was given another Christmas present in the morning. .5ct diamond studs from Brads. The highest color and clarity. Gorgeous and a perfect gift in every way. I purchased a ring and paid over $1500. for it and when I took it to have it appraised, I was told that most of the stones were CZ's and NOT diamonds, I wanted to be sure so I took it to another jeweler who confirmed that they were not diamonds. I was furious and went back to him and asked him to use his diamond tester and he told me he doesn't have one.. he could tell the difference between the two.. I told him I wanted my money back and he did give it to me but to say he was mad is a understatement. A year later, I went back in, I hated not being able to go to someone close by for cleanings, sizing, ect. I figured let bygone's be bygone's, I just wouldn't trust him to purchase something from him again.. I left 2 rings with him to be re-rodium plated and I got my rings back with all of the side stones ruined.. I could NOT believe he did that, I told him I wanted him to replace the ruined stones, he told me he would but it would take a LONG time and offered NOTHING !!! I'm still considering taking him to court for compensation, but more importantly is I wanted to warn anyone that has bought diamonds from this guy to have all your stones tested, I have heard from a few people that had similar issues with him and won't go back.. also I have been in the store when they laugh and talk about customers when they leave the store, I have seen a few reviews of customers that said the same thing.. Lesson Learned for me ! read more
