Nice local place. Pretty view from our table was the pond with ducks. The waitress was super nice and attentive. The food was OK. Pretty standard and forgettable. My husband and I stopped in on our way to Seven Springs -- it was like stepping back in time in the best way. It reminded me of diners in my hometown and I loved that. My husband had the prime rib with fresh cut fries and raved about how good it was. I had the turkey dinner with stuffing, mashed potatoes and peas. Coming in you really get that back country dinner vibe. Many of the locals come in and out of this place. Convenient and right off the highway. Pros: This no frills, affordable restaurant surprised me with great home cooked meals like country-fried steak, meatloaf, hot roast beef sandwiches, etc. The two-page menu is a nice touch, limiting your choices to dishes they excel at making. Fresh-cut French fries and gravy were great! Cons: if you are looking for trendy food, this place ain't for you. Their Philly cheesesteak was just ok. Totally surprised! Our food was really good! The zucchini appetizer was fried fresh and served with a marinara sauce. I had the grilled chicken salad and it was so fresh. Hubby had the prime rib which he said didn't have a prime rib flavor. But he said he really liked it and was cooked the way he wanted. He likes it more well done. He also enjoyed the candied carrots. Stopped here with three friends on a Sunday evening not much before closing time, the staff promptly greeted and seated us. The restaurant is located close to the Donegal exit of the turnpike and is easy to access from the turnpike. It is also convenient to Polymath Park. The waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered and our meals were promptly served. I had a Reuben sandwich with cole slaw and it was very good. Each of the other diners in our group were happy with their meals. At the end of the dinner we each asked for separate checks which they gladly provided. I would not hesitate to return here when in the area. read more

Place looked busy so we figured it might be good. Wrong! Husband ordered their "homemade vegetable beef. More like canned vegetables in beef broth. His burger was half raw in the middle. Told our waitress and she grabbed it out of his hand, said "I'll make you another one, eat your chips" and shoved his plate back at him. She came back with a McDonald's size burger. My sister and I and my young daughter came here for breakfast one morning. The food tasted good. It was comfortable and clean and parts looked like they were decorated for Christmas. It was a convenient place to stop for breakfast. They are open 11am-7pm Tuesday-Sunday and closed on Mondays. It's a very nice family-style restaurant. read more

We stopped here as we were driving home from Ohio to Philly Suburbs because of the billboard on the side of the road. The place is decorated like a cabin- definitely woodsy/country but cute - that rustic charm. They have a pretty extensive menu of all different types of food and they also have a salad bar! I ordered the smoked turkey panini which was so flavorful! It tasted extremely fresh, the turkey and all the toppings! It came with one side or salad bar for an additional $1.99. I opted for the cole slaw which was really tasty! Our waitress was extremely nice and in fact everyone working here was very nice! A classic roadside diner with something for everyone. Surprisingly excellent food, fresh and very tasty. Nice soup and salad bar as well as a big Sunday breakfast buffet. Most charming of all, set on a beautiful pond with gentle wildfowl... Definitely popular with locals, as well as truckers, bakers, farmers and all sorts of folk who know their way around a diner or two! It has a happy vibe here as everyone feels comfortable. Staff was terrific, especially our favorite waitress, Pam who took care of us with a smile. Because there are practically no other options in the immediate location, we ended up going here every day for breakfast and even lunch as well. We were very happy with the food, the portions and the prices. Desserts looked amazing but I was doing the low-carb thing so no delicious coconut custard or lemon meringue pie for me! Next time...? I want it to be a little runny but not TOO runny and I get so annoyed when diners can't get this right. And being from Long Island, I can get a good BEC. Home made food, like really home made. The ladies at Brady's was fast and courteous and made you feel like a part of there family. When you looked out the window you can see the duck pond and all the ducks. So, after our meal we headed out to see the ducks, but before we left we was handed a bag with a few pieces of old bread, they actually encourage there customers to feed them. This restaurant isn't amazing, but is certainly better than one star. They serve fine sandwiches and generic restaurant food. I have a pretty tasty chicken parm sandwich. There aren't a lot of dining options in this part of Pennsylvania, and it serves people that want something a step up from diner food and a step (fine probably a leap) down from something fancy like Out of the Fire. The wife and I have been by multiple times since buying our camp. Asked some of the local guys where they like to eat, they answered here. Gave it a try and loved it! So on the the review. The good parts... 1. Large dinning rooms leads to quick service time,very little wait. 2. Well priced food, the wife got the Apple Dumpling Pancakes and I the breakfast bars. Both were awesome! Pancakes were lite and fluffy, breakfast bar had everything you need. From fresh fruits, donuts, silver dollar pancakes to sausage gravy. 3. All the employees were pleasant. 4. We were returning from a trip and looking for non chain restaurant near the highway. Turned out to be a gem. Family style restaurant with friendly wait staff. It was Saturday so I tried the Prime Rib. 14oz and came with the salad bar. My wife had the grilled sirloin tips. Mine was excellent her not as much lacked steak taste. We topped it offer with apple pie a la mode and hot fudge cheesecake. Both were excellent. The bill for five of us was just under hundred bucks making it a great value. I grew up in the area so i have eaten here a good many times. I like the atmosphere. The staff have been decent. Never really an issue. Their food just doesnt excite me. I usually only come for breakfast anymore because i mean...breakfast is always good and you cant really mess it up (the biscuits and gravy are my favorite here). This restaurant began as a burger shack and operates on that level, but thinks it's a nice restaurant. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs, grilled chicken, and fish. Each order came out wrong or with something missing. The fish was a frozen puck that had been dropped in a fryer. The spaghetti had little flavor. Went to Brady's on a Sunday around 11am. We were seated right away by a very timid girl. The view from the table was pretty, looking out towards a lake with ducks. The service was nice, attentive, and prompt. We both had coffee, which I personally didn't care for. My boyfriend had eggs, bacon, toast, etc. and I had the chicken mushroom entree with a baked potato- don't judge. My boyfriend said that the bacon was a little soggy but overall everything was fine. My chicken was perfectly grilled and seasoned well, as was the potato. It was a nice meal to just be able to relax, take a deep breath, eat and not be constantly interrupted.
